As a walk-in for my daughters birthday Sept 9th and her first tattoo Jimmy and gabriel were quick to have an opening last minute! Gabriel is Hispanic with soo much talent and so friendly and kind!!Owner Jimmy is very welcoming and holds conversations with comfort very down to earth guy as well !!! Never knew this place was so close to home over the years!! Came in for tattoos with my friends while on vacation and hands down amazing place! Jimmy’s work is amazing and we all left as happy as can be! Great atmosphere too!!

Made an appointment on a Monday for a Thursday evening appointment. Artist never showed or called to follow up on this. Super disappointed as this appointment was for tattoos honoring a family member that passed away at a very young age. Would give 0 stars if that was an option. CALLED 4 times from 6:10pm-6:17pm (rang then went to voicemail).

I agreed on a tattoo and price with artist and had to go back 3 times to fix it and wasnt go back for a 4th time.my artist was more concerned about his phone and texting back anr forth than my tattoo.it was also very hot in there everytime I went and flies were everywhere. When the owner jimmy said he would fix it the 3rd time and made a appointment with him , I wad there and called him because he was a no show saying he was hoke waiting for a delivery so I tired once again with the same artist to fix this little tattoo.not a very clean environment and the treatment I received as a paying customer was horrible so with that I encourage anyone seeking a good tattoo to go to the other tattoo shop in Shelbyville next to family dollar the place is much cleaner and brighter . Only reason ibgibe this business one star is because I did receive my money back from Jimmy but as I was leaving he went as low as to talk badly about my mother which showed no class

Jimmy was awesome. He works with you to get the perfect tattoo design for the right area, he took his time. My tattoo was on my wrist and it didn’t hurt. I would highly recommend Jimmy at Skin Deep!!!

Wonderful experience! I got my favorite childhood book tattooed and it looks gorgeous! Mr. Jimmy was very kind and funny. He checked on me during my entire session to make sure I was feeling ok.

Jimmy has a natural talent as a tattoo artist. He has worked magic with several ideas I came up with. Today, though, Jimmy went above and beyond. New Years day he gave up his entire day to give me and my family memorial tattoos in remembrance of my beautiful niece who recently died tragically. He helped in our healing by helping us to honor her as this new year begins. THANK YOU JIMMY!
