Ive done a lot of research before choosing a place for my need. So far I have had 1 procedure and also recommended my wife which had a procedure as well. My wife is going again today for a facial as a follow-up to the laser treatment that she had done. I was looking through the reviews out of curiosity , specifically the negative ones and was surprised to see any negative reviews. My experience has been nothing but great. Pleased with the results. So is the wife. I would highly recommend this place for any CO2 laser procedures. Dr Van Antwerp is the BEST around with over 30 years experience. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Also its kind of expected with this type of thing. Its cosmetic.I do intend on trying some of the other procedures to see if I can reverse any sun damage / aging and Ill post a review once Ive had that done. However with the procedures that both my wife and I have done I am confident it will be more than satisfactory.Thanks again Dr Van Antwerp and your team!

The staff at Profile MD in Severna Park, Maryland were very welcoming once I stepped through the door. The bright, clean, and well maintained waiting area had a comfortable home quality that I did not have the pleasure of experiencing for long. Promptly, I was called to the office as scheduled. Tina and Keirstin, the registered nurses, were very kind and informational leaving no questions unanswered. Theresa took great care of me with her charming wit and jovial spirit, keeping my nerves from getting the best of me. She eased my worries with professional care. Stacey, the certified health coach, guided me for 90 days on a well balanced diet and mental well being. We became good friends. And last but not least, Dr. Jared Mallalieu is the epitome of an amazing doctor. He has explained reasoning behind the healthiest approach for procedures needed. Even involving follow up care with the registered nurses, Dr. Mallalieu made sure recovery progressed smoothly and efficiently. I would gladly recommend this location to family and friends who would want/need to experience a new version of themselves.

I have been a patient for over 15 years. The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. I have used the center for tattoo removal in the past. I am currently in the weight loss program which is phenomenal. I have lost over 40 pounds so far. Stacey has been the greatest support during this journey. I chose Profile MD after lots of research and calls to other local laser centers. The front desk staff have been very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions before I scheduled my appointment. I had my appointment with Dr. Ross for eyebrow tattoo removal and it went just as expected. He explained everything and what to expect and I am very happy with my results and the treatment I received from the whole office. Ill definitely be back for other services in the future.

Needed some help with laser treatment for keloids at the back of my head, but this place was no help at all. The doctor only cared about the money. Spent close to 3000$ but he didnt show much interest in helping me or coming up with some solutions for my situation. He is the only doctor there, so there is a long waiting period. Some of the Staff were very unprofessional. One of the receptionist gave me the wrong bill for my first trial visit. And one of the helpers almost gave me lidocaine injections before the doctors instructions.

Nurse Katie and the front office were amazing during my miradry experience. During my consult I brought my 6 month old and they welcomed us both with open arms even though she was a tad fussy. I got my procedure scheduled within two days which is amazingly fast. I had many questions and the front desk answered the phone quickly and transferred me to Katie as needed. My procedure was quick and comfortable. Katie made sure I was comfortable and provided great company during the procedure! She provided an amazing service and I have a little to no pain following the procedure. If your considering Mirady this is the place to get It done !

Love love love this practice! All of the employees, doctors and nurses are so welcoming, professional and you get great results! Very reasonable pricing as well. My beauty hack for my summer skin is HALO/BBL laser treatment . I had the pleasure of being treated by Kirsten for the first time and she was wonderful- very gentle and so friendly!

I have received services twice from Profile MD. All the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. I expressed my overall goal to prevent anti-aging and complete a natural look when it comes to administering botox and fillers. They went above and beyond my expectations. So far, I am very happy with the services provided here. I’ve received two services so far skin tightening, and cellular smooth. I’m about three weeks into the cellular, smooth procedure, and so far I am pleased with the outcome from what I can see. However, the biggest thing I want to mention is I went there yesterday to get some additional filler in my top lip . I had previously had filler done by another doctor. Instead of just taking my money and having me walk around looking like someone from botched , the doctor suggested that I wait until the filler in my top lip is gone because the previous doctor inserted the filler too close to my lip line and the filler migrated outside of my top lip. I really appreciate his honesty and appreciate his integrity by explaining what happened and why I should wait . Will use them for all my services moving forward not to mention all the ladies there are very very friendly. When I had my cellular, smooth procedure, they did not have a large body suit in stock at the Office for me, so Rebecca took it upon herself to drive to my house and drop it off which is above and beyond !

Alyne is my GWORL! I came in the day before they were having a sale and got me hooked up for a great price! I got barbie tox for the first time to relieve the tension in my shoulders and it was so comfortable and painless. I did 50 units in each side and it definitely helped a lot! Will probably get even more next time. It reduced the size of my muscle after about 3 weeks after my initial visit. Highly recommend! xxx

I’ve been working with Tina to address some melasma issues that developed after pregnancy. Tina has been fantastic in helping me find the most effective treatments for my skin, even when they are less expensive than the treatments I initially requested. She fully explains the procedures, as well as exactly what to expect during healing, and how to perform aftercare. She’s just really sweet and professional. After two treatments with Tina, my skin tone is looking really even and healthy. I’m thrilled with my results!

Found this place on the internet for laser mole removal. Didn’t have to wait very long to see the doctor, he spent a lot of time with me answering questions, very likable guy, removed two moles, and I was out of there in an hour. Very good experience. Highly recommend !

I walked in one evening (theyre open late on Mondays) and had a nice talk with the Health Coach about the weight loss program. I was encouraged that the treatment is only meant to be temporary. Four months and 35 pounds lighter, this was money well spent. Cant say enough about how nice and knowledgeable the staff were. I would definitely recommend this clinic and services to anyone.

I made an appointment for a consultation to have a small tattoo removed. I was warmly greeted and the waiting area was comfortable. After a few minutes I was taken back to an office where I met Dr. Mallalieu. He explained the process of the procedure and answered all my questions. And I was able to receive my first treatment while I was there. I was numbed first so the procedure was absolutely painless and very quick. The checkout process was smooth as well. I booked a hydrafacial and was greeted by the lovely receptionist Alyne. The Facial was amazing and I plan on getting another within the next few months.

Waste of a drive and gas. My appointment was at 3:30pm and at 4pm I was still sitting in the lobby with no status as to why my appointment wasn’t remotely close to on time. I’m not a fan of any doctor’s office that doesn’t respect my time. If I was 30 minutes late for my appointment I wouldn’t have been seen and I would have been charged a no show fee. Will look elsewhere for treatment.

Kirsten did a great job with the PICO laser! I came in with hyperpigmentation from a dog bite and some acne scars that I wanted gone for the summer. I was pretty numbed up with numbing cream that I lathered on about an hour before treatment. I still felt a little bit of the laser which felt like little rubber bands, the pain was not bad though because of the numbing cream. Kirsten always checked in and paused if it got too much for me. I’m definitely coming back for more treatments because of the great service. Lasers are scary but ProfileMD makes it easy :)

8/17/23Received a call from the office and I was apologized to and refunded my money. The dr was actually very kind and we had a good conversation and I actually scheduled an appt. Based on this, I recommend this establishment.8/16/23I scheduled an appointment as a new patient. They asked for a credit card on file, in case your a no show. The ask for 24 hour advance if you cancel. Ok that’s reasonable.I decided to go elsewhere(and with good reason, now learning), and I called to cancel my appt on 8/11. They have a live answering service, and the woman took my information down and stated that she will notify them of my cancellation. My appt was for 8/14 at 1:30pmI check my account today, and I was charged the $75 no show fee. Quite unprofessional and I do not recommend this business.

I had laser lipo done 3 weeks ago and I had a very positive experience from check in to check out. The front desk ladies greeted me and checked me in quickly. I was very nervous , as this was my first time having this type of procedure done .I met with a lovely assistant named Kalese who helped me get ready for the OR and checked in on me throughout my procedure . She was attentive and very calming . Dr Mallalieu did a great job of contouring and tightening up my thighs , leaving me looking like a snack . I am now healing up nicely and can’t wait to see my final results once all this swelling goes down .I am returning to the office once , sometimes twice a week to meet with the lovely Kalese again , as she also provides lymphatic massage for lipo patients . This service is good for helping the swelling along and speeding up results . She is kind , professional and so nice to chat with during our sessions . I have had botox from both Dr. VanAntwerp and the RN, Tina, I have never been disastified by their technique. I have very strong facial muscles and always seemed to need touch ups. I havent needed touch ups with them. Most recently, was Tina, and she took her time to assess my anatomy, and it worked beautifully! Tina also did lip filler on me recently. I was always against it, afraid of looking like a duck....my lips turned out so natural looking, just enhanced and even! She asked what it is I wanted to acheive, and customized her technique to what I wanted. True professional and talented. I have had Halo, micro laser peels, laser hair removal, and I have had incredible experiences each time. Lastly, Dr. Mallalieu, did a breast augmentation for these post breast feeding pancakes, and he gave me exactly what I wanted, not too big, not too small, just enough to look proportionate, he took his time measuring, recommended a specific type to match my narrow chest. Surgery was easy, recovery went great, scaring is basically nonexistent, and everything is even! Highly recommend Profile MD and all their providers!!

I had a procedure done 2 weeks ago by Dr. M. The procedure was put behind a couple of hours due to a machine malfunction. Dr. M. was able to have the machine fixed, continued with my procedure and gave me a complimentary facial for the inconvenience. I received the facial yesterday (my first one ever) and would highly recommend KC. I will continue to use that office for any additional procedures in the future. All of the staff are extremely nice and helpful. I love that they have Monday evening hours. Thanks again to the staff and Dr. M at Laser Center for everything they do!!

Horrible experience, complete waste of money, and at the end of the procedure one of the nurses told me I just needed to “drink more water and eat better” to have good skin. When I first arrived they stated it costs over 1k to even set up the laser they were using. But they literally put all the parts together when I got there while I was in the room. This was in order to have me pay the full amount before treatment. Which I don’t mind, but then why say that it costs so much to put it together when they waited until I got there to do anything. They also stated other procedures I could have done to help increase my look, which is unsolicited advice and super unprofessional. Overall, not a good experience and a complete waste of money.UPDATE: as you can see by their extremely professional reply, This is what you’re getting at this establishment. My whole experience with this place was ineffective, uncomfortable, and not worthwhile. In case anyone didn’t get the gist beforehand.

So far, I completed the free consultation and was impressed with the time the doctor and assistant took to answer my questions. I have my first procedure booked and will review again afterwards.

Highly recommend Profile MD. They do not upsell you and really take your interests to heart. Weight loss program is great as well as other services such as Botox, fillers.

I myself have had the pulse laser surgery for rosacea and it got rid of the redness and no more heat. Very happy with my treatment. My wife just had upper and lower eyelid surgery. She looks like hell, but they took good care of her. I hope she gets what she wanted from the surgery.

Back for my second laser lipo procedure as I was so thrilled with the amazing results from the first time! Dr. Mallalieu is absolutely superb and made me feel very comfortable. He did an excellent job and was very thorough and answered all of my questions. I had a lot of questions! I could not be happier with his work. I searched very hard for a great PS and am so happy to have found them. The front desk people are equally as kind and accommodating. I absolutely love the Laser Center of Maryland and the entire friendly yet professional staff. Dr. Van Antwerp has been treating me for over seven years. Dr. Van Antwerp is the only doctor I trust to biopsy on my face and not leave me scarred. Earlier this year he removed a growth from above my eye without leaving a mark.I was so excited to find out that my Laser Center of choice was offering Miradry. I asked the staff about the Miradry procedure. They were upfront with the entire process and advised me that some people may need a second treatment which I already knew from my research. I decided to have the treatment done the next day with Nurse Mercy since it was a holiday weekend. Everything turned out exactly as planned. The procedure has changed my life; I am so happy I had it done at the Laser Center of Maryland with Nurse Mercy.

I am very happy with the results of the liposuction I had done on my chin two weeks ago, even though I have not finished the second laser tightening treatment. Pleasant experience all around, I cannot recommend them highly enough. My chin looks much better. This is a much better treatment option than kybella.I plan to get further treatments from them going forward, including male chest reduction.

I thought Id be done with acne at my age, but sadly its still a thing in my 50s. KC recommended a Hydrafacial for acne and the results were fantastic. My breakout calmed down with none of the irritation that I usually experience after a traditional peel, and my skin felt so refreshed. I highly recommend the treatment. KC is an absolute expert, and she has such a kind and pleasant manner. Go see her!

Saw these reviews and really felt compelled to leave my own. I recently had the miraDry procedure done and can honestly say it has changed my life. I have dealt with pit stains since I was 13 years old. I had even resorted to putting womens pantie liners in my shirts! Talk about embarrassing. Dr. Van Antwerp and his entire staff were excellent. I was bit a nervous, but they made me feel comfortable and explained every step. An overall fantastic experience. I highly recommend this procedure AND Laser Center.

The laser hair removal treatments at Laser Center of Maryland are amazing! Amanda, the woman who does my treatments is always so beyond nice and professional. It’s so easy to be comfortable around her, she makes sure to get every area throughly, let’s me know before she raises the lasers frequency, or any test on the skin before starting. She is definitely the reason I’m giving 5 stars. The Candela Gentlemax Pro laser is the way to go, and the results (I only received 3 treatments on each area) are worth the price 100%.

Cancelled my follow up appointment would not come here again, need to work on their customer service.

I had a VBeam Perfecta Pulse-Dye Laser treatment in the fall of 2019. I decided to write a review now that I realize how outrageous the prices they charge here are.Dr. VanAntwerp charged me $950 for one session of the VBeam Perfecta; after calling around to other places in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia area, I learned that one session of a VBeam laser typically costs $400-$500. It was disappointing to realize that I had tremendously overpaid, especially when the procedure was such a negative experience.In addition to the prices, I felt Dr. VanAntwerp did a poor job with bedside manner. During the consultation appointment, when explaining that the side effects of the laser might include some bruising, Dr. VanAntwerp joked If people ask what happened to your face, just say that youre trying to learn how to listen to your husband better. This joke about domestic violence was in extremely poor taste and enforces a culture of misogyny and victim-blaming. I wrote it off as a one-time mistake, perhaps a slip of the tongue, and decided to make an treatment appointment anyway. However, on the day of the treatment appointment, Dr. VanAntwerp made the same joke again! I feel this says something deeply problematic about his character and who he is as a person.Additionally, Dr. VanAntwerp is an internal medicine doctor, not a board certified dermatologist, yet he routinely performs these invasive cosmetic dermatological treatments. After telling my regular dermatologist about my laser treatment and experience, he warned me to stay away from places that allow non-dermatologists to operate lasers and other potentially dangerous treatments.Overall, it was experience that left me uncomfortable and unsatisfied. I cant speak for Dr. Jared Mallalieu or surgical treatments, but I would emphatically suggest that you stay away from Dr. VanAntwerp for any laser or cosmetic dermatological treatments.

Dr. Van Antwerp is great. I had a rejuvenate of my skin in 2007 and people still think Im younger then I am. Im going to be 52 in January and people tell me I look like Im in my early 40s. Im very happy. This is a great family business too

Today I went to the Laser Center of Maryland for a Miradry treatment. The procedure was done by Nurse Diane. Diane is everything!!! I told her my fears upfront. After reading the other reviews I almost did not go to my appointment but I did anyway. Let me just say I am a bit confused about the other reviews. I had a terrific experience I went there to have a few moles removed. I have been to a dermatologist in the past who cut and scarred me. Dr. VanAntwerp used a laser and removed them painlessly in about 5-10 minutes. I am fully healed now and you cant even tell where they once where.He is also helping me remove the scar from the other Dr. as well.He along with the entire staff are so friendly. I would totally recommend this place to any and everyone!

Read This Before You Go To the Laser Center of MD. BAIT & SWITCH!10/9/2015: This is a response to the Laser Center of MDs recent reply to my husbands review of my daughters MiraDry procedure. The Laser Center stated in part We offered it for $1595.00 throughout the summer as a special introductory price for one treatment at higher energy settings.THEIR REPLY IS THE FIRST TIME THAT ANYONE FROM THE CENTER HAS COME CLOSE TO ADMITTING THAT THEY DID NOT PERFORM A LEVEL 5 TREATMENT ON MY DAUGHTER. THIS IS A TRUE BAIT & SWITCH!!When my daughter received the treatment we were told that she was receiving level 5 treatment. During her follow-up the next week the doctor that spoke with us also stated that she received a level 5 treatment. He showed me the handwritten medical notes from the technician that performed the treatment on my daughter. The fact that my daughter started sweating within a week was an immediate sign that she did not receive the level 5 treatment that I was told that she received.The Laser Centers recent reply to my husbands review is the very first time that anyone from the Laser Center came close to admitting that she did not receive level 5 treatment. No one ever told me or my husband that higher energy levels were used during the summer only.In fact during my treatment in April I was told that the Laser Center was the first center of its kind to pioneer the approach of performing a level 5 treatment as the first treatment for MiraDry. NO ONE EVER SAID THAT THIS WAS A TEMPORARY APPROACH. Dr. Antwerp and the nurse that performed my treatment told me that because of their pioneering approach most of their patients only needed one treatment.My guess is that the Laser Center was losing money because of the successful results of performing the very first treatment at level 5. They likely decided to reduce the level of the initial treatment to guarantee the return of patients for follow-up treatments. The fact that they changed their approach to performing MiraDry is not my issue. MY issue is that the Laser Center told me one thing and sold me something completely different. THIS IS A TRUE BAIT & SWITCH!********************************************************************************************************************My wife had the MiraDry procedure at the Laser Center of Maryland in April of 2015. She loves her results. We took our 12-year old daughter for the same thing in August and the experience was TERRIBLE at best.#1-Contrary to their published policy on deposits they demanded that I leave a deposit of 50% of the cost of the procedure in order to book an appointment. My wife called them from work to inquire about this new policy and why it was different than what they describe on their website. They said that the policy was new, but yet 2 months later their website has not changed.#2- They published a coupon for $400 then increased the cost of the MiraDry procedure by $400. My wife paid $1575 for the procedure in April. Yet in August they wanted to charge us $1999 for my 12-year old daughter. They told us that $1999 was the regular price for the procedure and that the price my wife paid was the result of an April special. Special pricing was never mentioned during my wifes consultation.#3 We paid $1595 for my daughter to have the procedure in August. She began sweating within days of the procedure. We returned to the center for a follow-up asking for proof that my daughter received a level 5 treatment. We were told that the only proof available was the technicians handwritten notes. The doctor offered to perform another treatment on my daughter for approx $1300.No thank you Laser Center of Maryland. We will take this up with the BBB and our credit card company. Two months later our daughter is sweating and as if she never had MiraDry.This is bait and switch and we wont stand for it.

I went for a free consultation about two years ago. The staff was friendly, and of course, beautiful. My first thought was...yes, I want to look like her! Ok, be realistic lolMy experience, once in the exam room, felt rushed as if I was taking up his time. The doctor didnt even examine my face up close, but rather talked very briefly the procedure from across the room. This took about 10 minutes. I was handed the cost sheet & it was over.The idea of having such a serious procedure(s) to my face was quite serious for me. I guess I expected a closeup view by the doctor?Id attempted to have laser throughout my life, but had fears of scaring more from the Laser. Suffering from acne since 12, then scaring, I was teased/bullied; called, pizza face or crater face by schoolmates.Then being 56-57, my face felt as though it was melting...now time for a facelift as well in addition to, Fraxel Resurfacing.The cost was extremely higher than imagined.I hope those who had positive results are happy.

Did 3 treatments, my hair on my upper lip has gotten worse. Got the package off Groupon. Paid a little over $100 Drove 45 minutes away to this office for my treatments that took only 5 minutes. At the end of my treatments I was asked if I wanted another treatment for permanent hair removal.🤔I would have to pay for that one in addition to what I had already paid that was SUPPOSED to be permanent hair removal 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am very embarrassed by this issue that I’ve suffered from for years and this place made it worse 😪 🤷🏻‍♀️Heartbroken 💔

I can relate to the previous reviewer that mentioned misogynistic comments from Dr. VanAntwerp. During an initial consultation, he repeatedly asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up. Now, Im a 38 year old woman with a life, family, and career. Why would someone ask this? Certainly I cant imagine a 38 year old male patient being repeatedly asked this question. So bizarre. Then he switched the topic to COVID where he stated that COVID cleared out nursing homes and that it just got rid of Gods waiting room. Not only are these statements factually inaccurate but as someone who has lost someone from COVID I found them very hurtful. This all happened in less than 5 minutes of meeting me. I was stunned by this odd behavior. For all these reasons, I would find it difficult to return to the practice for my procedure or to recommend it to friends or family.

There is no substitute for outstanding service in every area. This establishment has it all. I’ve been back to see Jared several times and he’s become more like family to me. The bedside manner is amazing and you feel welcome and wanted.

I cant believe these doctors, Ross and Jared could nt not tell me what is the name of the issue I had on my skin they just asked me for $2000 to do laser co2. I was about to accept but decided to see other doctor and She gave me a gel for $10 and after ten days problem was solved. These doctors, have no information or they do but just they want to charge you for CO2 laser.

Very friendly staff and easy experience booking my apt for tattoo removal. They make it painless, which I didn’t know was possible!

Came in to have something on the side of my head (temple) looked at and possibly biopsied. The staff at the center was courteous, professional and ensured my experience there was above reproach. Dr. VanAntwerp explained what exactly he was going to do, how it was to be done and what to expect. I felt nothing, literally. it has been a week and I cant tell there was ever anything on my temple. I came to Dr V because in 2009 he found skin cancer on my wife when others failed to identify and diagnose it. He saved her life before it needed saving.

I am very pleased with my weight loss on this program. My daughter is getting married in September and I have already reached my goal.

Stay away from this place. Poor experience from the start. You are supposed to pay half the cost of the procedure prior to the appointment. The staff that swiped my card told me that she would issue a refund if the payment went through twice. I was charged twice, and had to make multiple calls to get a refund. When I met with the doctor for the initial consult we agreed on fraxel laser and intracel to treat hyperpigmentation from acne scarring. My skin isn’t terrible, but I have not had a lot of success with topical treatments. I got a call from the office manager a few days before the treatment that the fraxel was broken and they were not going to replace it. They did advise another laser. They advised me to get fraxel and intracel a week and a half before my wedding saying that there was very little down time. I told this to esthetician a strongly trust, and she advised against it saying she would not trust an office that would recommend those treatments before a big event. Ultimately, even though I wanted a compete refund, I decided wing with just the intracel and no laser a few weeks after my event. My forehead now has blocks of hyperpigmentation and clear demarcation lines where the machine treated my face. I called the clinic and they prescribed I use a steroid cream that does not address hyperpigmentation. Don’t waster your money here.
