Crows Nest Tattoo

It was amazing. Jen was my artist. Followed her from PA. Didnt want anyone else to do the art. She is fantastic and loves what she does. Jen is a special person and strives to get it perfect, but that comes effortlessly for her. Jen is working on my husbands entire back. We will be returning again for that will take several sessions.

Myself and my girlfriend went here to get tattoos. Walking in I was immediately greeted by the front desk and the artist that would be tattooing us. The place was very clean, had good music, everyone seemed happy and very enthusiastic. Tanner was myself and my girlfriends artist. He did an amazing job catering to the specifics we wanted on each of our tattoos and worked hard to make sure that he had the sizing perfect and the tattoo looked exactly like we wanted it to. Tanner also took his time with the tattoo and after every piece of it he went back over it again to make sure it was perfect and he didn’t miss a thing. Tanner was the perfect artist for both of us and was very enthusiastic about our pieces. We both loved our tattoos and the entire experience and vibe of this shop.

I guess I’ll start off by saying I don’t even really know where to start off with my experience but please for the love of God don’t go here for piercings. I called the store yesterday asking if I could have jewelry changed to a longer bar and the woman I spoke to seemed like that was an odd request but okay, whatever. I knew they were hiring a piercer due to demand and she confirmed that he was there and told me to come in at 4:30. So when I arrive the piercer, who’s probably double my age, calls me mami a few times which was kinda weird. They never asked me for my ID or for me to sign any forms and I don’t believe he put gloves on before touching my ear. I explained to him the situation, I had an 8mm 16g flat back in a flat piercing (ear) and it was swollen so I needed a longer bar. Pretty simple right? He starts by asking where I got it, I told him I did it. Yeah I know it’s not the smarted to do piercings at home but judging by my experience it seems like I was better off at home than coming to this guy. Anyway, he tells me that’s where all my problems are coming from. He then pulls my hair back over my ear and starts examining it and touching it (remember, no gloves) and he tells me he can put a regular earring in it and pulls out what I assume to be standard 20 gauge cz butterfly back earring studs. I tell him I can’t put those in because they’re the complete wrong jewelry. (Problematic backing, wrong gauge and unknown length) I told him the jewelry I have in is a 16 gauge flatback and asked what gauge the earrings were. He tells me “well that’s what’s wrong, you’re not supposed to use that jewelry”. uh what? Anyway he was unsure about the gauge of the studs but guessed that they were 16 gauge and then changed his guess to 14 gauge. (They were clearly standard probably 20g earrings) Now why would I put 14g jewelry in a fresh piercing with 16g jewelry? I tell him that won’t work and ask what other jewelry he has. He asked me if I have tried to put a hoop in it. Now, if you know anything about piercings, you can imagine my shock at this question. (You are NOT supposed to put curved jewelry in a fresh flat piercing at all) which I proceeded to tell him that and he looks at me like I’m the idiot and says that’s what he would’ve done. Yikes! He goes and starts rummaging around in a plastic Walmart bag and pulls out a pack of horseshoe rings and tells me that I can put one of these in it because it will accommodate for swelling. I’m kind of just sitting here not knowing what to say at this point because everything he’s saying is unequivocally wrong and potentially dangerous and he looks at me and says “what do you not understand what I’m saying?” And explains how the longer jewelry will allow for swelling, which I tell him I understand but I repeat to him that you’re not supposed to put curved jewelry in a fresh flat piercing. He’s still looking at me like I have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about meanwhile he’s giving absolutely incorrect and dangerous advice. So by this point, I realize I’m not gonna get anywhere with this guy and I just tell him it’s not gonna work and get up and walk out. I’ve had some sketchy experiences in the past but wow! This man has absolutely no clue what he’s doing! Please be cautious.

I was a spontaneous walk-in.. Jakob was able to work with me on the quick design and flawlessly carried out my wishes. It was my first time here and Ill definitely be returning!

Had my first tattoo today ever and was amazed how easy it was , the staff are amazing and on a different level of customer service! Highly recommend for all NEW and EXPERIENCED tattooers.

Sam is incredible at what she does. She has knocked out my full sleeve in about 6 months. She has worked with me and for me to give me exactly what I wanted. Couldnt say enough good things about her, her employees and my experience. ❤

Our artist, Jen was amazing.She worked with us on the wonderful tattoo designs and went above and beyond when it came to finishing them up. I realy appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond and I completely adore the tattoo I received

My mother and I came in for my 18th birthday to get matching tattoos. Mike and Tanner were our artists and they did a fantastic job, fast, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. Highly recommend for all of your tattoo needs!

Jakob did the BEST job I could’ve ever asked for on my grandmother’s memorial on my back which happened to be my first tattoo. I couldn’t be more appreciative and thankful for the experience I’ve had there. It was an emotional tattoo for me for sure because my grandmother meant the WORLD to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better job to be done. The environment feels welcoming and nonjudgmental. I absolutely love the atmosphere. If anyone needs a tattoo, highly recommend this facility!

My friend and I went to Crow’s Nest to get matching tattoos on vacation. My artist was Jen. I absolutely loved her, as she made this experience quick and painless. If you live in the area, are here for vacation, or are anywhere near Jen- go see her!!! Phenomenal experience. :)

Sam did a great job. From the conceptual design of what I wanted all the way the a crisp and clean application she was very professional. She was very patient with how indecisive I was and offered several artistic suggestions that helped me make up my mind. Her shop was very clean and has a cool and comfortable atmosphere.

I have three tattoos and Sam has done them all. She is gentle and makes sure you are comfortable and love what she is putting on your body forever. I would highly recommend her! I wont go to anyone else. Thank you Sam for another beautiful piece of art. See you next time.

The very very best! I had two tattoos before meeting Sam and both experiences were a little awkward. Sam actually took the time to consult with me on the design and was willing to change things to make it perfect for me without making me feel like I was being an inconvenience. I will be seeing her again for our third tattoo together soon!

Everyone in the shop is super friendly and welcoming. The shop is always clean and and I’ve never had a bad experience with them. They have multiple artists who are all extremely talented and kind. Not to mention they have TONS of art there for sale by local artists! Definitely worth a visit.

Got my second tattoo here and it did not disappoint! Sam is very gentle and makes sure you love what you are getting. Good conversation. Very clean shop! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience! Matching mom and daughter tattoos! Designed by artist there and we all love. So comfortable my teenage daughter even hung out with us the entire time. Clean and cozy. Will be back!

The place itself is clean and beautiful all of the time. Sam, the owner and artist, goes out of her way to make sure everything is handled and everyone is comfortable. Andrew & Thomas are really good artists to go see as well. 10/10 recommend

Got my first tattoo there was something small but I love it and was the best first experience the guy mike was cool and will definitely be going back for my second one and so on!

Sam is amazing. She really puts thought and meaning into everything she does and her work is the best. She’s done two cover ups(hands) for me and has started a sleeve. All of it is beyond what I could’ve imagined.

Step kids were coming to visit, 18 yrs old, wanted their first tattoo. I call the week prior to their arrival.I was told that no a pointment was necessary. That seemed odd so I repeated my question....was told...no appointment necessary...we always have 2 guys working...so just come in anytime were open.So, thats exactly what we did, and guess what??? They do and require an appointment, ! And today is the last day the girls are here. The artist apologized and said no one should have told me that, the girl at the counter, Im pretty sure its the person I spoke with, never looked up or made eye contact....if thats how th ey do business, no thank you.

Love, love, loved this place! The whole family got tattoos here while on vacation and could not have asked for a better experience! Everything about this tattoo parlor is incredible. As soon as you walk in you get a very home like experience. And the staff is very warm and welcoming while also making the experience a lot of fun! They take the time to talk to you about what you want and how they can accomplish it! 10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone!

Place is dirty not clean at all , and my husband tattoo lines are not consistent, artists owner were nice at first but after saying something about that tattoo they were mean . Not recommended and also we noticed it now that most of this reviews are the artists and their family website we met there , go somewhere else in myrtle Beach or Wilmington. Much mierda

We just went to HauntedThomas for our conch shell tattoos and they look amazing!!!! Definitely go to him. He is professional and CLEAN you don’t have to worry about any contamination he even cleans and disinfects his equipment infront of you. You feel safe and can trust Thomas with your tattoo! You did great!
