The very best tattoo shop in Shelbyville with incredible artists! Joe is upfront and honest about ideas, placement, and cost. His skill level is versatile and his attention to detail leaves you with a perfect, permanent piece of art. I have not had work done by the other young lady in there, Layla, but I have seen her work and it is amazing. The shop is clean, organized, and super inviting, especially if youre a horror fan. It is no wonder this shop stays booked!

Great experience. Joe was professional and friendly, and the shop keeps a variety of drinks and snacks on hand for customers.Joe clearly loves his job, and that really lends a sense of confidence while youre in the chair. Where to start…. Joe was absolutely amazing! This was my first tattoo and all the help and guidance he gave was awesome! He was upfront and transparent with me from the start. It did take a while from the booking until the appointment but boy was it worth it. The studio had a great atmosphere, especially if you’re a fan of horror films 🙋‍♂️. I had my first appt with Joe to do my half sleeve at the beginning of February. I have now had 2 appts with him and a third scheduled later this yr. He took my idea and the image I had in my head and made it a reality, he gave his honest opinion on what would look good now, but not later on, and let me know before booking that he wouldnt do it if he didnt think it would look right. In my opinion, that is exactly what I was looking for, I dont tattoo and I need their expertise in that area. I definitely recommend him and obviously will be back to see him myself.

I had a tattoo that was done inconsistently by a different artist, so I had asked Joe if he could help me out on fixing in. Today was the first visit and it already looks so much better I will definitely be going back to get more tattoos done by him. He had a very gentle hand and did his best to make sure I was comfortable for the 4 hours I was sitting.

Had a great experience at Ink and Skin Tattoo Studio, Joe is very professional, runs a clean and sterile studio, and dedicates his time to the client. I liked that Joe keeps the door locked during his sessions so there is not people constantly entering the studio asking questions and trying to get appts. Honestly the best tattoo place Ive been to. Joe helped fix up a recent tat I got that looked really rough and made it beautiful. He kept up a fun conversation and was more than happy to answer any questions I had about the process, tools used, what to expect during healing, etc. I highly recommend this place, even if their waitlist is long (theres a REASON for that!) I will most definitely be back to get more pieces done by this amazing crew.

The studio is very clean and organized plus Joe does an amazing job! He fixed a tattoo from somewhere else that had been “fixed” twice before. This studio is by far the best in my opinion. Joe runs a great business and always puts the customer first. He has amazing skill and truly loves and cares about what he is doing. Allexis gave my daughter and myself our tattoo’s and she is flawless! She is very organized and professional and friendly. We love our tats and will be going back for more! I highly recommend her ! Also, my daughter got her daith and cartilage piercing with Nikole who was also very good at her job ! So good that my daughter never squinted an eye. She was very professional and very friendly! Overall , this studio has been great to us and will definitely have my family as clients in the future!!

So I went and seen Nikole for my very 1st daith piercing and I will DEFINITELY be going back to her for any other piercings I may desire in the future. She is very friendly and professiona, she educated me very well about what to expect and what to do and not to do. She made me feel comfortable and right at home even though I had a bad day at work. She is great at what she does thats for sure!! Getting the daith was seriously a walk in the park yall!! Its the least painful piecering Ive ever recieved, even less painful that the earlobes believe it or not 🤷‍♀️ Everything Nikole used was still packaged in autoclave bags and patiently waiting for me 😁 I am very satisfied with the customer service I received from Nikole, the cleanliness and hospitality I recieved. I give her a 10!! If youre needing a piercing shes the lady you want to go see!!

I only have a couple of Tattoos but Joe has done both and will do any others I get. His attention to detail, and willingness to produce exactly what the customer wants, (In my case a 1940s style pinup) means the customer will always get just the tattoo he or she asked for. Shop is clean, neat, well and organized. Joe and his fellow artists are the nicest folks i have met and always willing to make the customer feel at ease. He even caters to chickens who have never gotten a tattoo and explains everything in detail and his prices are well on par. I will be getting more work done by Joe and his staff and if your local to this fine establishment you should too.

First let me say, I usually dont bother to do reviews. However in this case, I felt obligated to do so. I spent several hours in the past two years with the ideal of the design I wanted and failed to find someone who could simply say Not a problem. With ten minutes of explaining what I wanted, and a bad sketch from me, Joe said, Ill schedule you for April 26th. I walked out and walked back in yesterday and was flabbergasted at the sketch he prepared. From that point on we detailed some colors and the rest is history. If your reading this, Youve found your artist.Joe and company are personable, responsible, and talented beyond your expectations. Ill be back for more.

Nikole Taulbee has done a couple piercings for me and the experience was one to brag about! She eased my mind and was super cool and professional about what she did, explaining thoroughly each step in the process. Ink & Sin Studios is easily one of the best tattoo shops in Kentucky. Joe, the main artist/owner, has such a professional attitude when it comes to any questions or concerns regarding tattoos. The prices are beyond fair, and the atmosphere is amazing. The shop is ALWAYS extremely clean, and the shop owner takes good precautions to keep it that way. Ive gotten eight tattoos from this shop so far, and each time the service has been top-notch.Best thing about this shop is that the artists will be completely honest with you about a tattoo idea, and placement. They will let you know if the placement you initially want for a certain tattoo would look right or not. They really look out for their customers. 10/10. Ink & Skin has been by far the best tattoo experience that I have ever had. Totally different from the other shops that I have visited in the aspect that most of the others just want you to pick a tattoo off of a wall and slap it on your body. Not these guys, they want to actually make art to put on your body. Joe did a amazing job fixing up/covering up a bad tattoo that I had gotten in FL on vacation a few yrs back. I have never had anyone take so much time and put in so much effort to make sure I was pleased. Joe will defiantly be my only artist from this point forward.

My wife got some piercings done here. The staff was super friendly and Nikole our piercer did a fantastic job on the piercing as well as making my wife as comfortable as possible before getting a needle through her skin. Thank you Nikole for your professional demeanor and workmanship. The shop was clean and we saw her open up the sterile supplies for the piercing.

Amber is your girl if you need some sick black and grey work done. She does really cool/different illustrations that are crazy detailed. Joe and Corey are super good guys too. 100% recommend.

Nikole pierced my nose and my daughters ears. She was super sweet and friendly. She gave us all the information we needed and made sure we were comfortable. She eased my daughters fears. Will definitely be going back for all of our piercing needs!!

I went to see Nikole to get my nipples pierced. Going in I was SUPER nervous. Nikole helped ease my nerves. She talked to me through the entire process. I was completely comfortable. Definitely gonna be going back to see her. She definitely gets my recommendation for any piercing. She told me the dos and donts. What was normal and abnormal. Also super friendly.

Nicole did my nipple piercings. Very professional and calmed my nerves. Very thorough going over care and what was normal and not.She also helped replace my nose piercing that someone pierced incorrectly.
