Just got a new tattoo at Costello Tattoo, and I couldnt be happier with the entire experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so cool and welcoming, clean, and professional. Such a good and creative vibe! Everyone were so friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to listen to my ideas, ensuring they understood exactly what I wanted.Adi and shay were absolutely amazing. Not only are they incredibly talented, but they also made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The level of detail and precision in their work is astounding, and the final result exceeded all my expectations.The shop maintained the all standards of hygiene, and I felt safe knowing that everything was sanitized and that the artists followed strict safety protocols. The pricing was also fair and transparent, with no hidden costs.I highly recommend Costello Tattoo to anyone looking for high-quality tattoos and a fantastic overall experience. My siblings and I walked in to inquire about tattoos and left with a tattoo and piercings. The vibes in the shop were so welcoming and all of the artists were super nice and helped us feel comfortable. Shoutout to Vanessa and Constantine for the piercing and tattoo. I had my tattoo with Shay. I could not be happier with the result and the process. From the beginning with the briefing conversation about the design of the tattoo, thru the session where hardly no pain at all, and the instructions at the end to take care of it. The place is very nice too, very clean and staff is very polite. I would definetely recommend this place and Shay.

Vanessa the piercer is So Wonderful. My granddaughters helix piercing had to be put back in and she was so kind and understanding. My granddaughter is very shy and she just loved how gentle and gracious Vanessa was with her. Mad love to this wonderful shop and the beautiful people.

Two days ago, I got my ears pierced in different place. And they did a terrible job. My ear was bleeding all the time. I went to this place, and Vanessa Silver helped, took care of my problem (there was a lot of blood), and gave me advices how to take care of it later. If you have any problems with piercing and tattoos, Vanessa defeneltly is the one who you can trust!

This is my new favorite shop in LA. not only are the artists incredibly talented, it was a breath of fresh air to feel kind, friendly, and welcoming energy from everyone I encountered at Costello. Emma was so gracious in taking me without an appointment today and gave me my new favorite tattoo. (also loved having their puppy around to play with) thank you for the hospitality and amazing work. I will be back soon!

Got my first tattoos done by Isabela Valotti who is an amazing artist and kind person. At first, I was nervous because i didn’t know if it was gonna be extremely painful but glad it wasn’t. Took at least 3 hours to get it done and was happy and comfortable during the whole process. I really recommend getting your tattoos here. It is worth the price.

Came in as a walk-in for a skull tattoo. Nadine helped me and was great every step of the way! We designed an amazing microrealism skull tattoo to commemorate my elopement last year. She did an amazing job with the tattoo and Im so happy with it! Will definitely be coming back to her again for something new!

Imagine walking into an environment full of creative passionate artists who have a family feel mindset and love to keep everyone laughing or smiling.My first experience with Andrew was amazing. He brought my hebrew tattoo and wrist tattoo to life. I also had him touch up a 14 year old tattoo and loved how he worked and made me feel very comfortable on each experience. I would recommend him to anyone!In these three experiences with Andrew, I shared an idea of doing a full sleeve on my right arm and he recommended another great artist by the name of Ozzy who wowed me with two amazing ideas I had. I call him the tattoo sniper because he got a perfect bullseye on each session and I am excited for him to finish the rest of my arm. He is a perfectionist for sure!If you want to stand out from all of the rest, getting inked by these two is a MUST and after these 5 experiences at the shop, I would be honored to collab with any of Costellos artist. I came to my appointment with several ideas that I hoped could be integrated into a unified piece. Shay took my ideas, adjusting every component until together, we were excited with final design. Shay is friendly, focused, professional and possesses natural artistic talent. Though I spent an entire day at Costello, I was surprised by how quickly time passed. The shop is comfortable, unpretentious, warm and friendly. The staff shows interest and investment in each service provided. Throughout the day, artists and clients surveyed my progress with enthusiasm, creating a social and engaging experience. I recently got into tattoos when I was out of town and I was looking for a local place to get more. This shop was the perfect spot. I worked with the ever so talented Nadine. She made me feel right at home, took her time designing my tattoos, and was fun to talk to the entire time! Plus, she works so quickly and smoothly. I will be coming back.

Came in this last Valentine’s Day to get a special tat for me and my sweetheart. The staff was all super warm and welcoming especially Nadine who was the artist who tattooed me and my girlfriend. She’s just starting out but it’s one of the cleanest tattoos I’ve gotten this far, and I’ve got a lot ! Will definitely be back, especially since you get a complimentary back massage with every tattoo purchase.

My fiancée and I have both gotten tattoos by Emma and Costello and we probably won’t go anywhere else!!! They are SOO talented, sweet and extremely professional. They also have an adorable dog running around that just makes this spot so fun. I just got my first ever tattoo at 28 years old! I was so so nervous since I hate needles. Well...I ended up getting 3 thanks to Agné haha! She did an AMAZING job! Not only did she make sure each tattoo was perfected, she also made me feel so calm about it. The environment here feels like family, its calm, and everyone makes effort to get to know you. I came here after hearing about how great the artists are. They got back to me quickly and were super accommodating. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Loved the clean atmosphere. I’ve been really indecisive searching online for the perfect fine line flower bouquet and a tattoo place to get it done at. I searched nearby in my city but couldn’t find any artist that specializes in fine line tattoos. Expanded my search a little further and found this shop and found Nadine who specializes in fine line.I can say I’m definitely coming back whenever I decide to get my next tattoo. I gave her a few reference photos of flower bouquets I liked and told her that I wanted a mesh of all the references. When I saw the drawing she pieced together, I was amazed since it was way better and more than I expected it to be. Not only was her artwork was amazing, she was super friendly and answered any questions I had. 100% recommend her for any fine line tattoos! She’s able to create an amazing piece out of a mixture of reference photos.Setting up an appointment is fairly easy (I did it through Instagram) and you can find all their artists profiles on there to view their artwork. They responded pretty quick and were super friendly. 100/10 customer service. The atmosphere of the shop is awesome and they had some paintings up for display able to be purchased. Literally have nothing bad to say about this place.

LOVE. THIS. PLACE.My boyfriend got his first tattoo here and it was one of the best tattoo experiences I’ve ever had. I have 7 tattoos, and have been to countless tattoo shops in LA trying to find that one amazing spot . Put it this way, I’m 100% coming back here for my next ones. Gman was the artist who did my boyfriends and he was so articulate and careful in drawing up the tattoo. My bf was obviously nervous about his first one but gman was super chill the whole time and had no problem with the minor tweaks/add-ons during the session. Highly highly recommend this place. super nice, warm welcoming, friendly people here. ✨✨

I got my first ever tattoo with Nadine and it was 10/10. First, she established an open communication with me before I even arrived to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. When I arrived it was seamless. Everything was set up and good to go. Additionally, Nadine is incredible. She kept me calm, talked to me throughout the session, and kept on asking if everything was okay and if I needed anything. Lastly, Nadine has mad skills. I got exactly what I wanted! The tattoo came out perfect, it didn’t hurt at all and she is a true artist!

I came to this studio for a tattoo with yakir and it was a very pleasant experience! It had been a while since I got a tattoo and I was nervous but he was very considerate of my design preference and had a rather light hand. That being said, my tattoo came out magnificent!! It was better than I could have ever imagined, and the entire time he worked on my arm he and the entire staff at Costello engaged in a very fun and hospitable way. Making the entire day quite enjoyable. I highly recommend giving him and the shop a shot!! You will not be let down. I will definitely go back very soon.

I just finished getting my long awaited tattoo at this shop with lovely Nadine. I read all the great reviews here with her name being mentioned a lot so I decided to go for it. Lucky enough she was there to consult me and after redesigning what I showed her, to make it a perfection, we made it happen and I couldn’t be happier. It is exactly what I wanted and the way I wanted it. She’s such a detail oriented artist with light and confident hands. Also, the place is very clean and all the staff are super nice and respectful. After getting a warm recommendation from a friend who just got a beautiful tattoo, I reached out them by instagram. They replied quickly, asked me what type of tattoo I want and scheduled me with the appropriate artist. The artist set me patiently to finalize the design. She was very calm and attentive to my requests. The the tattooing itself was almost without any pain. She was 100% focused in her work. And needles to say it came out gorgeous. Thank you guys! Yakir is an amazing artist! One thing I truly appreciated was how he listened to my ideas about the design and placement. Something that was an issue in my past experiences with other artist. Anytime I had a question he would respond with great detail and never made me feel like I was bothering him. Very friendly and made the overall experience an amazing one to remember. The tattoo itself came out so gorgeous and is healing beautifully. Plus, hes a One Piece fan. That should speak for itself😁 Im definitely going to be getting more tattoos by him in the future.

Nadine actually gave me my new favorite tattoo today. She was so kind, funny, and skilled with her work. She was incredibly honest and helped me design and create the piece I wanted. She kept great company and was extremely fun to hang out with while she tattooed my arm. I couldn’t recommend a better artist for your pieces!!

1 year, healed update: 4 stars to 2.I watered down and left out red flags in my original review because the artist was nice and the business responds really weirdly to lower ratings. Im rating the service and end result here, not the person.The tats not what I asked for even though I had clear references, and the artist seemed like he was uncomfortable with it up until the machine was running. He hadnt looked at my references, didnt communicate that he was outside his comfort zone until he was already tattooing, and leaned too hard into customer service mode to make me feel comfortable, likely because he felt bad about his no show. Id made it extremely clear during booking that I would happily go with another artist in the studio if it wasnt a comfortable style for him.The tattoo healed alright. I asked for blackwork no shading and he did fine line with shading, so as comes with small details and shading, its a little muddy. People arent really sure what theyre looking at. It would be nice if it doesnt get less legible over time.No one who has seen my reference images can understand how far off the artist decided to go.---Original review:I got tatted with Ozzy. Its a nice environment in a good location, friendly artists. The piece I got done is really nice quality and also not quite what I asked for. I was really clear about what I was looking to get and feel like the ball got dropped along the way because initial communication wasnt directly with the artist. Regardless, Ill always be proud to show off this piece and plug the artist due to the quality alone.Main pros:- The artists at this shop all have really high quality work.- My artist took time to research the culture of the style I asked for to create a design.- He was apologetic and offered alternatives when there was a scheduling mishap.- Very clear price quotes.- I hands down had the most pleasant experience sitting for this tattoo. Ozzy has great energy and makes good conversation. I felt comfortable the entire time.- He was super willing to continue working with me to flesh out future tattoo ideas, which I truly appreciated.- Second skins used here; my tat healed very nicely, quickly, and easily.- Location- They dont have front desk staff, but the studio is easy to contact by phone in case anything comes up.Main cons:- I wasnt given a health and safety form/waiver nor was my ID checked.- Scheduling wasnt smooth. And the artist didnt seem to get details about the tattoo from the studio or scheduler before the appointment, which I believe would have prevented the rest of the cons.- What he drafted up was different on a few levels, changing a bold blackwork tribal piece to thin linework. Since it took a couple hours and the design was cool, I just asked for minor tweaks.- The piece was moderately shaded after he confirmed he understood I wanted black only, no shading.

I’ve got multiple tattoos from Nadine, and had the best experience ever. She was friendly, kind, and patient as I changed placements of the tattoo multiple times. She made sure I was comfortable, the station was clean, and asked if I needed anything before we started the tattoo. All the staff in the store was so nice too! They would come over and look at the tattoos I was getting and always seemed interested or excited in the designs. I highly recommend going here, and highly recommend Nadine for your next tattoo!

I went for my first tattoo with Nadine. She gave her opinions and input and swayed my decision in the best ways. I went back about a week later for my second one. I wanted something clean and simple and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Get a lot of compliments, even those with lots of tattoos say how good/clean they are. Highly recommend Nadine!!! This was my first time coming to this tattoo shop and it was such an amazing experience. I got my tattoo done by Beau and he made the experience so wonderful. I went in not knowing if I wanted to go through with it, and when my decision was made I was super nervous. He knows how to talk to you to get your mind off of it. Overall such a great experience, I definitely recommend getting a tattoo done by Beau. His artwork is amazing!!

Yoni my piercer was GREAT, super knowledgeable and chill vibe, a consummate professional. Costello the owner was so nice and accommodating. Everyone else who worked there seemed really great and friendly too. My piercings look awesome, I will definitely be back and refer all my friends!

Id been thinking about getting a tattoo for quite some time and finally decided to get my first one this week. Costellos, particularly the artist known as G-Man, are wonderful! The place is very clean; all the equipment is sterile and G-Man had no problem with me watching as he set up his station. Everyone is very friendly. A privacy screen can be opened if requested, but otherwise all the work and the clients are clearly visible to anyone who cares to observe. G-Man translated my idea for a tattoo into a stencil and then to my skin beautifully. He really made my first experience getting a tattoo very pleasant. instructions for aftercare were clear; I felt that Costello cares about the safety and comfort of its clients.

Got my first tattoo with Danny. Truly an amazing experience.

I came with a friend to see Joni about a septum and nose piercing and were beyond pleased with the results! Joni was fast and professional, he was also very attentive to our needs! He made sure we got exactly what we wanted and did not hesitate to make sure we were set and ready to go. I am fearful of needles and nearly passed out once the needle went in, without me having to say a word, Joni picked up on this and took extra care of me. He provided water, and a wet rag for my head. He allowed us to sit by the door for some fresh air and allowed us to take our time to recover. He is an excellent and attentive piercer, highly recommend Joni and the rest of the crew at Costello Tattoo. Everyone was very welcoming

Very clean and inviting tattoo shop. All the artists were extremely friendly and G-Man did a killer job on my tattoo. It turned out better than I expected- he worked with me on sizing, placement, and styles, we chatted during the whole process and it was a very comfortable experience. This tattoo shop is the vibe! I had selected shay as an artist after reviewing his work and knowing it was the best fit for the style of tattoo I wanted. We had a full day session, and I mean full day. We started at 10 am and didnt finished until 1 am. Everyone in the shop was kind and shared stories which made the day fly by. Shay made sure we took breaks to eat and rest, so I felt comfortable the entire time. He took my idea and turned it into a piece of art. I always suggest to allow the artist a bit of freedom and they will give you a better piece altogether. They are the artist for a reason. I cannot wait to work with him moving forward, and recommed him and the shop as while for people looking for art work.

I got a dark ribcage tat and i was scared it would be painful, but I was shocked at how easy he made it! Vibe here is great, will definitely be coming back :)

This is my second time coming to Costello Studios and I can not recommend it enough! I’ve gotten a tattoo with Agne twice now and I love them both so much! I can’t wait for whenever my next is. She’s come up with amazing designs and is so friendly and incredible! Everyone there is so sweet and so friendly! The studio is so clean and is just so much fun to be at. I also got a nose piercing here with Costello and the process was fast and as painless as it possibly could be. It’s an incredible spot with so many talented artists and I can not recommend it more. Costello & Emma are without a doubt the best tattoo artists in the LA area! I have been coming to them for the last 3 years and with each appointment they amaze me again and again. I never had so many people stopping me on the street to admire my tattoos until I started coming here. Costello & Emma’s process is so streamlined but also thorough like a well oiled machine. They have an insane eye for detail and their style is siiick. I never have to worry when I give them creative control, they knock it out of the park every time. They also just opened a new shop - meticulously clean and super chill and relaxed vibe… exactly what you want when you sit down for a few hours long appointment. I had the BEST experience at this shop. The whole staff was friendly, the shop is very bright and warm, and there was a really cute dog hanging out with people in the lobby. My artist was Agne, I had a big piece with her (was there for 5 1/2 hours). She is an absolute angel and magician! And very friendly and nice to talk to. My tattoo is gorgeous and she has the softest hand Ive ever encountered. I had a lot of fun at this appointment! Very satisfied customer. Highly recommend both Agne and this shop.

By far the best tattoo Ive ever gotten. Ive gotten four other tattoos by two other artists and Costello is on another level. He was very professional and made a beautiful work of art that I am proud to display on my arm. He honestly made it more beautiful than the reference material. Gefen was absolutely awesome. It was my first ever tattoo and she helped me calm down, and did a great job not only with the tattoo but also in making me feel safe throughout the process. Best tattoo shop in LA! Nohelia is an absolute PRO! She did matching tattoos for my wife and I about a month ago off a walk-in, and we were so happy with her work / the experience that I decided to book an appointment with her this month for another tattoo. And I’m even more in love with this new one! Plan to go back to her for many more over the coming months! I had a great experience at Costello Tattoo & Piercing Studio! Specifically I had my first tattoo done by Garrick Gman. The studio was extremely clean and very cool.The tattoo itself was about the size of a cookie. The lines are pretty fine so it took a very steady hand. I was pretty nervous about the pain, but it didnt hurt at all. After the tattoo was done, Garrick patched the tattoo and told me all the steps to keeping it clean and avoiding infection. Since then, the tattoo healed perfectly and looks great. Super crisp lines with no breaks or smudges.I would highly recommend getting a piece done by Garrick Gman!

Shay did a phenomenal job on my vine tattoo. I’m not an artist by any means but he was able to figure out exactly what I wanted. I worked with Nohe on a red ink tattoo on a design she had drawn out before. She was incredibly sweet, professional, and talented in her work and would recommend anyone to get a piece done by her ♥️. She was helpful in placement and her opinions when I asked, so I really appreciated her input! Looking forward to more of her designs and hopefully working with her again soon!The studio itself was clean, has a vibey ambiance, and just a good safe space for this type of work. Parking is street parking (metered, but it was broken and I didn’t pay on it and didn’t get a ticket).

Costello Tattoo & Piercing is a beautiful studio in Sherman Oaks that features a stunning industrial feel with pleasent visual art all around. I received a tattoo from Andrew and am in love with it! My friend had some jewelry exchanged and also had a great experience.The owners, Costello and Emma (I believe), keep a hygienic shop with a wonderful atmosphere. Tokyo, the shop dog, is also so sweet and such a fun pup! I highly recommend this studio for any tattoo or piercing needs.

Ran and Emma are the ultimate professionals in tattoo artistry. Their facilities are clean and tools/tables are sanitary and pristine.One of the things I loved about the experience was the collaboration and Rans eye for detail. Another cool thing was the ability to make sure my tatt was proportionate to my body and sat the correct way from multiple angles.He’s also a fantastic artist and his work is quick but precise. Emma made me feel very welcome and comfortable as well.It’s not my first tattoo but it IS my first Costello! They are a newly opened tattoo shop in Sherman Oaks that I found online and we were able to book an appointment within days of calling them. Huge plus. All of the artist are so friendly and once we entered the store you instantly can feel good vibes all around. I had a really good experience with Sunny who does piercings! Sunny pierced my nostril and it was quick and fairly painless (I hate pain!). The place was clean, good atmosphere, with friendly staff that are very fast (they dont take forever to get to you or do a service for you.) Definitely recommend this place.

He does amazing anime tattoo art I got a tattoo of inuyasha and kagome from the anime inuyasha and it’s so beautiful definitely my fave tattoo the detail is so nice. I found Costello on Google after reading some reviews and I am so glad I dropped in. I needed to take out my nose piercing for a medical procedure and I was (no exaggeration) devastated at the thought of the piercing closing. But I went into Costello (without an appointment) and they had plastic nose rings specifically made for surgical procedures. The man who swapped the rings for me was kind and careful; it did not hurt at all. I would go back to Costello for all piercing needs and highly recommend it!

I have two back dermals in my back and I decided that I need to take One of them out because it was irritating me so I called and made an appointment for today. I came and Costello made what couldve been a very painful process short and sweet. He explained what he was doing and didn’t hurt me or force it out. He was very gentle and caring and I would highly recommend going to him if you have any dermal piercing issues. Thank you 🙏

I would definitely recommend Elizabeth at Costello Tattoo to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and pleasant tattoo experience. Elizabeth adjusted her schedule to fit me and my friend in before she left for the night. she was very patient as we explained the details of what we both wanted. I asked her to add some cattails to a previous tattoo of a pintail duck and I’m very happy with the result.

Found Yakir through an anime tattoo ad on Instagram, took a shot on him, 110% worth it. Gave him an anime character that hasn’t been tattooed before with very few reference photos and he created such a great original piece. Professional, listened to my thoughts and input, gave me a tattoo that I’m unbelievably happy with, will absolutely be getting tattooed by him again.

Went here to get my septum ring switched out to a new one. they were out of the one I needed but they ordered it & I went back a week later and got it changed. amazing environment and artists, def coming back here for tattoos & piercings in the future :)

Ive been to Costello for a few Flash tattoo events and its always been a great time! I was tattooed by Andrew who was great and easy to work with and even took a suggestion of mine to add to a flash sheet for Friday the 13th!

I got a tattoo with Agnė and it’s become my favorite tattoo! She was so patient and detailed when designing the tattoo with me and asked all the questions that I didn’t think to ask. The process was incredible and she took her time to get every detail just right. Agnė is such an amazing artist and I cannot wait to go back to her for more tattoos!

It’s not my first time getting a tattoo or piercing but I think their Customer Service care was great!! They are friendly and open to any suggestions, if you have any! Very informative about aftercare and any questions. If you have any. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area or for anyone who visits L.A! :)

My piercer was John! Dude was very calm and made me feel comfortable. I asked him to pierce my nose with two hoops what I like to call spider bites. John marked my nose for placement multiple times to make sure that I felt comfortable. He accommodated me moving the ring around, gauge, and hoop size. Once he pierced me he cleaned all tools in front of me. He pierced me and I immediately started sweating. He was very professional and didn’t let my body’s reaction stress him out, his calmness let me calm down a lot quicker than I expected. The second piercing was breeze. Highly recommend this legend! After more then 20 years since my last tattoo, I had to do coverup . I met with Costello and felt its the right guy to do the job. With a lot of confidence and no pressure we did brainstorming and immediately after the tattoo it self..Couldnt be happier

The owner and artists are impatient and will charge you the most amount of money. Save your time and go to more experienced shops, dont be fooled with some small tattoo piece pictures on the reviews. I had a big piece done and seriously had to push on fixing it as they kept delaying.
