Wasnt ready for the level of professionalism cause most of my ink is done in a very non professional way. Jacob Bailey did an amazing job. The art came out exactly like we planned. The place does do stuff differently than how I am used to but all in all it was a great experience. They do days instead of by tattoo. And in that day they do want you to get your moneys worth in that session. Watching all the other artists, they arent focused on anything but the customer and that was really cool to see.

I got tatted by Smiles and the service was great ! Very clean set up . Work is not rushed, and he is very personable. Makes the session better. My tattoo healed great , color is still poppin and vibrant ! I am currently thinking of my next piece so that i can sit in his chair again ! Looking forward to it !

I had the best experience getting my tattoo. When I got there, the receptionist greeting me very nicely and offer me something to drink. She explain what the process was like and answered questions that I had. Then my tattoo artist, Sue, meet with me and we started to brainstorm on what I wanted. After 45 min wait, she came back with some amazing drawings. Was sold when I saw her drawings. It was perfect. We started the session, took around 5 hours with breaks in between. I got to say shes amazing and very friendly, we were chatting it up most of the session. Everyone there made me feel like I was at home and kept on looking at the work in process and giving compliments. The atmosphere was great and felt the love!! Also they have amazing art work. Very clean too, its incredible how clean it is. Overall best experience ever. Im going back to get another one in October!!

Wonderful location that is planned to move. It’s more than just a fine tattoo parlor— it’s an art museum of diverse personal work! The staff and family are quite friendly and reasonable.

I had an awful experience at the Skull Museum with their tattoo artist, Rache. His tattoo, for me, was a complete disappointment; the lines were uneven, and the shading was inconsistent. Despite requesting a touch-up, he never responded to my message, leaving me stuck with a subpar tattoo. The customer service at the Skull Museum is horrible; they are unresponsive and seem disinterested in addressing concerns. Its disheartening to feel like youre dealing with con artists who prioritize profit over the satisfaction of their customers. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone seeking quality tattoos or reliable service.

This is by far the cleanest tattoo shop i’ve ever been in. I took my 3 year old here to get her 1 ear pierced. The first experience at another shop was not good.. I talked to Nikey before coming in and she made the whole experience so easy. She did an amazing job and my daughter loved her. Highly recommend!

I drove THREE HOURS here just to see Nikki!! After having a traumatic experience with someone else she was able to fix my ear and give me what I was originally wanting. She is so professional and made me feel so comfortable! She definitely knows exactly what she’s doing and only uses the best products. I will never no elsewhere ever again!

Hands down the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. Clean, bright and very welcoming. Everything was so easy from booking to getting my ideas brought to life. Brenda the Booking Manager is a blast of genuine nice energy. She made booking so simple and made great recommendations. Nick Stratt did my sleeve and he knocked my ideas right out of the park. There were so many layers to this idea and he got everything and more. He was really mindful of when I was getting tired or needed a break. Worth every penny!

Had piercings done by Nikey and a large tattoo done by Youngblood, but all of their artists are incredible. I have had piercings at 4 other places from Cameron Park to Sac and Nikey is hands down the best, plus super sweet. I wont go anywhere else for piercings from now on. AND to add to the awesomeness, the location is quiet and beautiful and the interior is impeccably clean and elegant. You will not regret going here, even if it is only to stop in and see their crazy neat skull collection or buy some fun swag.

The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the art these artists do is phenomenal. I was a bit weary about the process of same day designed tattoos, but after working with Nick Stratt I was hooked! This is by far the best place to get a great tattoo and there are a ton of different artists to get that perfect tattoo

I hadn’t been in a room full of that much greatness, talent, and good energy for as long as I can remember- if ever. The level of comfort, the clean, beautifully designed space, the people, and the artwork hanging on the wall are all top tier.I originally shared a less than stellar quality photo (it was one of my favorites) - and Nick (Stratt) made it work- to say the least…He is an incredible artist. The time, care, and attention to detail spent on the portrait was phenomenal- I can’t express enough how worth it this place is… My portrait of Bayleigh is PERFECT. I’m forever grateful.This place is a goldmine. Luxury, Yes. Perfection of something that will both heal your mind and adorn your body forever is priceless - and so are the people at The Skull Museum.

These guys are AMAZING!! Ive had a few different pieces done by a couple of their artist! And every single time I go in, they are all so friendly, accommodating and their shop is super comfy!! 5 star establishment for high end body art. All the artists here are the best of the best. There’s incredible 1 of 1 pieces of art for sale as well as amazing prints. Brenda the booking manager is an absolute goddess of love and light. You can’t go wrong at the skull museum

I really can’t describe how amazing everyone at the Skull Museum was. It was clean and bright and SO friendly. Mimzi designed my tattoo and it was everything I could have dreamed of. She was so professional and nice. Other clients and tattoo artists were all talkative and really fun. Got everything done in one session. I couldn’t have asked for more, I would give 6 stars if I could.

A last-minute opening came up on Mimzi’s Instagram page so I texted the number to see if it was still available. I fully expected an automated message back, but Brenda (the booking manager) was so personable with her response. The booking process was fast and easy. Brenda was so sweet and answered all questions I had. The day of I went in and the inside of the shop is beautiful! Mimzi listened to my basic idea (I wanted to give her as much creative control as possible), and then went to work her drawing magic! She made sure it was sized up perfectly and started my sleeve! The other artists are also friendly and I love how they check-out each other’s work and hype each other up. Overall amazing experience and I cannot wait to finish my sleeve.

Came here for my very first tattoo and it was an amazing experience. I was tattooed by Austin and he did phenomenal work and paid very close attention to detail. The atmosphere was great and it is such a beautiful shop. I will definitely be back for more work.

Ill speak briefly on the environment of the shop.There are not enough superlatives to describe The Skull Museum. The staff is incredibly friendly and the facility is meticulously clean and vibrant. (During my session, the shop and the bathrooms were cleaned at least 3 times.) Its an incredibly easy process to schedule appointments and they are very thorough with their instructions.My tattoo artist is Nic, the store owner, and his work speaks for itself. Incredibly professional and his creative process is an experience to witness in of itself.

After extensive research and the willingness to travel anywhere in the world and pay any fee, I decided to book several sessions with Nic Westfall at The Skull Museum. From the moment you walk through the door, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. This studio is unlike any I’ve ever seen. Very luxurious, clean and unique with real and cast human skulls everywhere.Nic is a true artist with an ability to put together a unique design unlike any artist out there. I am extremely happy with the work that he did and when we were done, I immediately booked a few more sessions to complete the piece. If you’re looking for a true masterpiece, this is the place to go. You won’t be disappointed.

Not going to lieAfter having my favorite fighter Cody garbrandt use this shop and some of the work they’ve done I was really impressed.Honestly if it’s not the owner of the company tattooing you which takes months even years to get a appt than the rest of the artist are good but honestly not worth the prices they charge.They charge rates as if every single one of them is on the owners level and it’s far from it.I did three sessions, spent upwards of $4000 on a 3/4 sleeve and I’m not happy with it.Now looking at it. It looks mediocre at best and I can’t believe I didn’t go to a regular shop with regular rates and get the same stuff with a full sleeve for the same price.Don’t waist your money if it’s not from the owner.

The Skull Museum is by far the most Legitimate Tattoo parlor I have ever experienced! The environment, scenery, vibe, cleanliness, etc sets the bar above and beyond... and the people are fantastic! The artwork is nothing like Ive ever seen. There is nowhere else I know of in the US I can get this quality of work done. I will never get any tattoo done outside of skull museum. It would be like putting government cheese on a filet mignon! There is nowhere else Id recommend to family and friends. You guys are awesome... and Nic, you are Genius! There is no shop like this one, I can promise anyone anywhere that!

The Skull Museum is located in downtown Sacramento and, in my opinion, is the best shop in CA for black and white 3D realism tattoos. I have had 3 sessions with Mac Grommet, who is amazing, but every artist in the shop is. If youre looking for your first or next, make an appointment with any of them. You wont be disappointed.

Piercer wont do children unless they can concent... dont need that kind of judgement, or someone who thinks they have more say than you over your kids! Not your place! And will gladly go elsewhere and let everyone I can know!

Im from PA and wanted a solid artist on the west coast to do a tattoo before I went home, and let me tell you, this place is on point. The professionalism and understanding of the staff is beyond reproach. Im a contractor lineman for PGE and with all my scheduling hurdles they went overboard in accommodation. I have been following some of Nicks work for years. It is some of the highest quality work I have seen. I need to get myself out there for another tattoo ASAP. Google says the current hourly rate is $350, I was expecting more like a $1000.

This place is insanely beautiful inside and out. The hospitality was amazing and all the artists in there are crazy talented. Don’t sell yourself short and check this place out. I HIGHLY recommend.

Let me start by saying that The Skull Museum is not using their name to get people in! Their name is just that a name! Their name also says they are a tattoo shop. They get people in by their amazing talent. Many years ago I was against tattoos and I finally got my first one done by the owner Nic Westfall and I was immediately hooked. I then went back and got my second one and it is not just a tattoo it is a portrait and a BADASS one!!! I cant tell you how many compliments I get from people I dont even know saying how beautiful they are!! I have already referred two people to him. I am definitely going back for my third here really soon! There is no one that will ever do my tattoos but Nic Westfall!!! This is not a young hangout these are world class tattoo artists and if anyone does their homework they will see that! Nic you and your team are unique and there is no one better in my book!!! This place was awesome they are professional, clean, thorough, and just cool down to earth people working there, I got my work done by Bart and he did a badass job, he made sure everything was perfect and the way I wanted it done he even had some great ideas on how to make it even better, I could tell that this work was his passion, and I am very pleased with the work so far and I plan on getting the rest of my sleeve done soon! Got a portrait piece from Nic the owner almost ten years ago and the quality and detail are still fabulous, even on a Spanish, wreckless tanner. Just went back for a neck and shoulder piece, little pcs but they stop people in their tracks. As much as I love Nic Id be happy to sit with any of the guys at this shop, all the work is incredible. Worth every penny in body art, travel, experience etc!

Incredible amount of time putting together the details of the theme followed by speaking with the client prior to getting started. The quality of the work is amazing down to the smallest detail. Highly recommend.

I started going to Nic around 2012. He designed my Half sleeve. Never imagined it would turn out the way it did! Amazing. So naturally Im back finishing a full sleeve. Nic is the best, hands down!

The only down fall to this place is the amount of time you spend out of your day explaining where you got your insanely real looking tatoo to people you meet .. I was blessed by shine one of the newer tattoo artists at the shop at let me tell the work is just as described insane. unique styling and blends that Ive seen NO Where else you are definitely guaranteed a one of a kind tatoo that you will not be disappointed in ... oh yea the artist are crazy cool an super easy to talk to and the shop is really upscale and nice ..a clever mix humanelistic and free flowing art
