Berman Skin Institute Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology

When I got there they were telling me I had to pay $175 due to a deductible but I know without a doubt (and later confirmed) that I have already met my deductible. After a little back and forth, I refused to pay it.Next, I specifically asked when scheduling to be scheduled with a woman doctor which they said I was. When I get there, and go into the room the assistant asks if it’s ok if I see a male doctor. Apparently the woman left the practice the week before. They offered to reschedule but since I had already taken off work early I reluctantly stayed.When the med assistant gave me a paper top with a paper lap blanket she said they were out of full length paper gowns. I noticed there wasn’t any paper to sit on the exam chair. I asked for something to sit on and was told they are out of the paper for the chairs. I asked her if there was anything I can use to sit on and she wasn’t sure. So I had to suggest a paper lap blanket which she then gave me.Once I saw the doctor I didn’t think he was very thorough on the skin exam. I’ve had much more thorough skin checks in the past.

I go to the Cameron Park office and the Placerville office for surgery on my face. the staff and Dr. and the Dr Assistant at Cameron Park are very good, great care from both. Made me feel comfortable in what they were going to do! They showed they cared! Very Important!

Have been having a hard time getting in to see a well-reviewed dermatologist clinic that worked with my insurance so decided to look a bit further from home. I called in and spoke with Presley who did a fantastic job helping me over the phone. Some of the best customer service Ive had in a long while. Thank you!

I was so pleased with my treatment at Berman Institute in Cameron Park. I got there early and was taken in with them in five minutes. Everything they did was perfect in my estimation. She checked all over for any spots that I mentioned as I have been going to Berman for about one year, she always explains everything that she’s going to do and to what extent. I couldn’t be happier. If anyone is interested, should definitely go to Berman Institute.

So happy to find a dermatology office near me and I was so pleased with my first visit. Kendall and her staff were delightful and my body scan was very thorough. Kendall explained what every spot was and when she saw one that concerned her she was very gentle and let me know what to expect every step of the way. I was also happy to see that they provide a multitude of treatments, including cosmetic procedures that help with slowing down the aging process and keep you looking and feeling your best. I’ve found my new dermatologist…I truly felt taken care of here❣️

I saw Christian for a rash on one arm and with a terrible itch. Christian knew exactly what it was and gave me the correct treatment which worked immediately. I had seen other MDs that didn’t know. The staff is wonderful, office immaculate. I wish I knew about this place sooner. My husband switched over as well. Very grateful.

I take my 91 yo mother to the office in Cameron Park for her skin care (which is often when you are fair-skinned and have spent decades in the sun) and I cant say enough about how much we appreciate the quality of the care she receives. The entire staff is professional, educated, efficient, and very friendly.Fallon Lopez, PA is the BEST!!!! She is very gentle, compassionate and most importantly patient. She explains the procedures to my mom in an effective manner and respects my moms input.The rest of the staff are also great and wonderful to work with. Katerina, Ashleigh, and Arlen are extremely helpful whether it is scheduling an appointment or getting you prepared in the exam room.If you are considering a dermatology practice, this is the one to use!

I’ve been going to Berman Skin Institute for a few years now. Their staff is friendly and thorough. Tiffany, the receptionist is personable and acts professionally. This last visit I saw Kendall (Physician’s Assistant) and Katrina for a skin check. Kendall was quite thorough and made me feel comfortable. She answered several questions and gave me plenty of time. In addition, I’ve gotten Botox from a couple of different places. Berman doesn’t dilute the injections as some other clinics do, so the treatment is very effective. I won’t go anywhere else for Botox.

The Berman Institute, Cameron Park was able to see me next day for an acute reaction. The office staff was polite and welcoming and efficient completing paperwork. The PA that saw me was superb! She had a clear direction in understanding my problem, explained things scientifically/physiologically (which I love and appreciate). Thus, her decisions for treatment were knowledge based. Very impressed!!

I just want to say I deal with alot of different medical providers because of my health issues, but Eryn at the Cameron Park location is amazing. She really made me feel like she cared about my skin issues and finding a solution to help me through getting answers. I Also want to mention my experience with dealing with Katrina and Dr. Edward was also a great experience. They were both very informative and again showed they really care about there patients. I couldnt have gone to a better place to get the answers I needed to solve my skin issues. I highly recommend this place.

Brought my 7 year old son to be seen for his eczema and scaring on his face. We had a great appointment! The waiting room and treatment areas are clean, we did not sit in the waiting room past our appointment time and were seen by the PAC within 5 minutes after the intake nurse. I felt like everyone we interacted with was pleasant and listened to my concerns and they were very good with interacting with my child. All the treatment options were explained completely to myself and I felt like we received excellent care!

They take patient concerns very seriously. They listen to patient concerns and give feed back on their findings. They are very thorough in their exams, which is important in detecting possible skin cancer. They are friendly, considerate and caring to their patients. I highly recommend them.

Im very happy with the consultation that i received. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cristian gave me several different options on my hyperpigmentation. I left there with the answers that I needed and the direction that i was going to take on my skin care . I wish i had gone there sooner!

Saw a doctor for a possible ingrown toenail, he prescribe some anti-fungal medicine, said it was going through the mail order pharmacy, I was never contacted. I called five times to try and get the prescription, Bermam skin Institute told me the prescription was too expensive and they were me filling out another one. There’s been no contact since no prescription filled. No call back. I received a copayment statement from Berman and I don’t think I should have to pay it, they never followed up. I had a referral from my primary care doctor and it only took 2 days for a call and they scheduled me for the following day. When I arrived, I did not have to wait long in the waiting room (long enough to fill out paperwork) before I was called back. The nurse was extremely friendly and it didnt take long for Dr. Park to come, and she was very personable and friendly. She listened to my issue and then immediately took care of it, along with a few others. I was in and out in 20 minutes! I highly recommend Berman Skin Institute!

Christian, the PA was very professional. I had 4 pre-cancerous growths frozen. He gave me a lot of confidence in his knowledge and skill.

Had a routine visit for my annual derm checkup, and it went as expected. I was treated with respect for my minor concerns. I would give a 5, but that doesnt seem appropriate for a 15-minute skin checkup.

I appreciate the treatment I received at BSI.After several prior incidents of skin cancers, the exam I received was thorough and respectful. As you can imagine, it’s a scary and embarrassing experience but Fallon and her staff made it comfortable.I plan to bring my husband and my mother in for skin issues they are experiencing as well.You can trust this team at BSI.

If you need an appointment fast, check them out. I wasn’t able to get an appointment elsewhere for months but could get in the same week here. Everyone there was great, I will go to them from now on.

Extremely disappointed! Before moving away for 5-years, my family were patients of the Berman Skin Institute, Cameron Park office; even received a birthday card every year. Returning this year, we made appointments at the CP office with Dr. Berman and were told he no longer practice at that office, nonetheless, we made appts. specifying being seen by a doctor - not a PA or NP... I formerly had surgery to remove skin cancer that was found by Dr. Berman. At the appointment we were told wed be seen by a PA, not a demonologist MD. We had the absolute worst - most unprofessional visit ever, anywhere! What a difference from the experiences just a few years earlier. Over the years I have recommended BSI to friends and family as the best, hands-down. However, now Id be absolutely embarrassed to recommend BSI Cameron Park, or wherever, to anyone.

Doctor Park is the best Dermatologist Ive ever had, shes very professional, friendly, and caring. I will recommend her to all my friends and family. All the staff is very polite and answered all the questions that we had. We will be back in February. Bill and Sharon Admire

Ask to see AllenAfter my dermatologist retired three years ago I’ve had a hard time finding anyone that treated me like an actual person. Dermatologists seem interested only in doing costly cosmetic procedure. For them actual skin problems are charily work, especially Medicare. This entirely understandable, but it’s no fun being processed like a piece of spoiled meat and spit out of the office as quickly as possible.The Berman Skin Institute with an emphasis on cosmetic surgery and hair transplants did not seem promising, but that’s where I could get in.I was examined and treated by Allen, a Physician’s Assistant at the Cameron Park office. He was exactly the opposite of what I’d come to expect: friendly, personable and more thorough than I expected. He explained things carefully and understandably; even things I’d been unaware of, and provided expert treatment. Aside from the inevitable paperwork, my visit was actually a pleasant experience.

Office was clean and organized. Staff was pleasant, professional and on point. I was seen by Fallon a few minutes before my scheduled time. Fallon was relaxed, considerate and thorough.

I saw Fallon Lopez for Botox and Lip filler. She did such an amazing job. I have wanted it done for years but afraid the provider wouldn’t listen to me how subtle I wanted results. But Fallon nailed it! They look amazing. She also had great recommendations for skin care routine.

First Fraxel treatment with Christian. I was very nervous but Christian made me at ease. He was very professional and personable.

I was referred to BSI by my primary care doctor for a suspicious mole. Dr. Parks and the entire staff have been amazing! From the biopsy to the removal of the malanoma the team were professional, empathetic, and made sure I was completely pain free thru my experiences. The results are wonderful! Dr. Parks got great margins, the scar is healing beautifully and they have me on an every three month check up for one year, after all clear for a year, every six months. I feel I am in very good hands and would highly recommend both Dr. Parks and the staff at both the Cameron Park and Placerville locations.

The office was very clean. I had made an appointment for 3:30pm and they changed it to 4:10pm without consulting me. The staff was very friendly and Dr Park was very professional. I would give them an A+.

Stay away from this place!!! took 3 cuts and 6 weeks to get a dime size cancer out. left knot ends on stitches so long they ripped out. this place doesnt care about its patients and wanted me to pay more for their mistakes. horrible experience
