Golden Rule Tattoo and Body Piercing

Walked in with 2 other people, we all got tattoos from tyler, he was a blast and did amazing! two of us got ours for the first time and he made us feel very comfortable with everything! all of the staff were great, will definitely be coming back!

I had a small tattoo done that was not very good by a different shop. I dropped in today to Golden Rule and was lucky enough to get an excellent artist named Francis. He totally transformed it!!! So happy

Went for Friday the 13th deal (2024) and my experience was wonderful as always, got 3 piercings and the receptionists were very nice as always, my piercer (viv) was super sweet and walked me through the whole process (I was scared of the tongue piercing lol) and she was overall just super sweet and caring (also got eyebrows)

Theyre always very kind and knowledgeable. Ive been to two of their Friday the 13th events and its always been smooth. Visiting their shop outside of big events is a breeze, the piercers take the time to talk you through the process and aftercare. I love how welcoming the environment is

Zazzy did my conch piercing. It looks good and I’m happy with how it’s been healing. They were amazing at talking me through the process and made me feel calm as the needle went through. They’re so soft spoken and gentle. I’m on a piercing high right now so I might go get another one soon 😄

Walked in, got a consultation, and had sketches for our three tattoos in an hour. Tyler was awesome, played some good music and kept the three of us going through the session. All 3 tattoos turned out phenomenal, attention to detail was on point, cleaned up and touched up again just to be sure. First tattoo for two of us, and Tyler got us prepped and ready, kept us company the whole way through, and checked in throughout making sure we were doing good. We came last year for my daughter’s 6th birthday to get her ears done. She decided last minute she wasn’t ready so we came back a year later for her 7th and got Jen. She was fabulous! My daughter has since commented on how funny she was. We’re almost 6 weeks out and her ears look great. To be honest, they really never even got red and she never complained of ANY pain. Maybe her ears were just meant to be pierced or she got a really good piercer. Thank you for making such a big moment in our daughter’s life so memorable!

So I was trying to book an appt and I got the run around, please message or email your proffered artist, how the heck do I know who I like if I am new. Called 3 times the other day. Plus it doesnt even tell you who the artists are to choose fromThe site sucks attitude was horrible. Definitely going elsewhere.

Ive gotten both sides of my nose pierced, my septum, an upper ear lobe, nipples, lip and nipples pierced here i love this place and will continue to come back over and over everyone is so sweet and they really know how to take care of you

I got my septum pierced and when i left i passed out. my friend ran inside to get help and two workers came to help. golden rule is a very caring business that values their customers. i will definitely be coming back for others!

Angelo the piercer was amazingly professional. He kept the process very sanitary and talked my son through the entire process of getting his ears pierced. He was thorough with placement of the earings and made sure they were even prior to piercing. Would highly recommend him.

Jen did amazing! I brought my daughter in as a walk in for her first ear piercing and they took us right away and did a great job at calming her nerves. I got my ears pierced here almost a year ago as a walk in and Vivian was amazing!! She took me in after about 5 minutes of waiting and then walked out with my earrings! My ears are usually very sensitive to getting pierced but they healed so well! Highly recommend going here

Got my very first tattoo here. Chop did a fantastic job! The staff are really awesome and friendly here.Hes been a tattoo artist for 18+ years so he knows what hes doing!I gave 4/5 stars because their appointment/walk-in infomation is not clear on their Facebook page.Piercings are walk-ins only, no appointments.Tattoos are appointment only, no walk-ins. I took my boyfriend to get his right nostril done and the person doing his put to small of a bar, WE had to ask how to properly take care of the piercing, and she laid him down. I understand you have your own way of doing things but she struggled multiple times to get the piercing in and when we went back to get a bigger bar she STILL struggled to but it in. Jen did my piercing and she was amazing. Told me everything I needed to know and then some. Everything about my face structure and always made sure I was 100% on board. I don’t know the name of the person that did my boyfriends but she didn’t do a good job at all.

I’ve been coming here for my piercings for several years. Regardless of which piercer i get they always do an incredible job and are super kind. They’ve always made me feel comfortable and safe and assisted me in finding the best placements to go with my existing anatomy. I’ll be coming here as long as they’re open for business!

We had a hiccup or two with the first time, but wound up going to Golden Rule Tattoo here in Silverdale once her ears were all healed up, and we had Azia. She was more than patient, more than kind, and she was so accepting of my one year old acting like a beast and throwing fits. (I felt so bad) but she was so kind.My daughter Brynleigh finally got her ears pierced at 8, and I would HIGHLY recommend Golden Rule here in Silverdale. Huge thanks to Miss Asia and her sweet personality taking care of my girl. I did a walk in, Angelo was my piercer and let me tell you I had a great experience, it barely hurt, great staff, will be going back if I want more done, let me also add they were quick!

Came to Golden Rule because my 5 year old wanted her ears pierced. Everything was so clean and Viv did an amazing job with my girl, she talked her through the whole process and was so patient as she got nervous. We left with smiles and 2 perfectly pierced ears as well as clear after care instructions. Will definitely recommend to others and be back in a few years for my other girl.

Got my young humans ears pierced in commemoration of her transition to high school. Decided to do my third piercing at the same time. It was a little pricey, but it was same time walk in, clean, open, great communication from staff... It was a good experience overall. Staff was communicative about all parts of the process. I love my earrings and so does my kiddo. We have good memories here. My kiddos came to watch my niece get a piercing for her birthday. Same level of experience then. She had her labret done. After dealing with the jokers at silver City tattoo, I didnt mind the price. It was worth the upgrade in service.

Always have the best experience at golden rule. Chop does amazing tattoos and the piercings are well priced. You have to make an appointment for a tat but walk-ins are welcome for piercings. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend!

Looking for a new piercing. Came back to them years after they did my first one.Theyre ordering the jewelry from the top suppliers of quality stainless metal.Will go back in a couple of weeks when they arrive.Great staff, we talked an hour about options of doing a custom piercing. They answered all my questions and offered alternatives.

Amazing experience! Took my daughter for her 7th birthday to get her earlobes pierced and Viv was very patient and explained everything to her to make her feel comfortable. I also got my nostril pierced by Viv and I barely felt a thing and felt very comfortable with Viv. Also both piercings are healing nicely due to how clean everything is and Vivs experience. I have been going to golden rule for YEARS. I have been pierced here over 15 times, and have never left disappointed. I’ve never had any issues with piercings that they haven’t been able to fix. Anytime I have an issue with a piercing and I call them they always point me in the right direction and help me. Everyone is professional and so kind. Asia (I’m sorry if I misspelled it) is absolutely amazing. Always welcoming and is an amazing person to see when we first come in. Jen is my absolute favorite piercer, she always answers any questions with ease, so helpful and caring. Aaron is an awesome piercer (he did my girlfriends, my best friends, and my piercings today and we couldn’t of asked for better service) I’ve only had a couple from him but still no doubt. The environment is always so welcoming, calming, fun, goofy, professional, and just overall spectacular. I couldn’t ask for a better place. Once I get a tattoo from there I will be all set.

My daughter just got her ears pierced. Jen was amazing! My 8 year old freaked out after the first ear and Jen was amazing at calming her down and so patient!

I got my belly button re-pierced today by Shayna. I had such a great experience, i didn’t make an appointment and was helped very quickly, I was nervous about the re piercing but Shayna was very knowledgeable, helpful, and super sweet. I was 100% comfortable and the service was great, I will definitely be returning.

Viv was amazing!!! They were super informative and they walked me through every step of the process. Viv even helped me decide on the nostril Jewelry that I wanted because the one I initially picked out was a little bit too big (was perfectly fine but I didn’t want a super big jewelry at first)

I went in because I broke one end of the jewelry in my nipple piercing, and I had no backups. Not only did they help me find a new set of jewelry, but they measured the gauge of the old one instead of assuming its size and even offered to assist putting the new jewelry in. They were friendly the whole time and the store had a welcoming environment. This was my first time here, and I will return.

I always come to Golden Rule to get my piercings! I currently have 7 and Jen has done all but one, which the owner Aaron has done! Ive never had a problem with healing and they makes sure everything is clean and done right by guaranteeing there work! If I ever have any concerns they are more than willing to help! Highly recommend coming here.

Let me tell you... My newly 16 yr old daughter was determined to get her lip pierced. We made it in for the procedure. Names escape me because Im old now, but the ENTIRE staff stopped everything to assist my daughter when she decided to pass out upon exiting the building. All three ladies who were on the clock jumped into action, one came running to the door to help me ease my daughter to the ground, another brought her own pizza for my daughter to eat (low blood sugar) the other angel brought a drink from their employee fridge.These people are literally medically trained and are professionals! I laugh when I say we will be back, but Im serious... Theyre amazing people, thanks again!

Don’t get why I was getting incredibly disrespectful treatment from the little gal at front? I simply wanted a piercing. I wanted a hoop and they only offer studs which was fine, but I wanted to get a second nose hoop and she literally said Good luck with that, honey. in a definite condescending tone and verbiage.The fact that those were the exact words out of her mouth when I simply said I wanted to go to a place that pierced with hoops was so uncalled for. Look, everyones bodies heal differently. I got my nose pierced with a hoop the first time and it never was an issue, because I clean my piercings properly... but anyways, to each their own and the attitude and lack of professionalism was rude and unnecessary. Im sure they do a fantastic job with piercings, just maybe a little training for front desk staff. No one wants to go to a business where they feel judged and talked about... do better :)

I had my nipples pierced here which can be an awkward situation for some, I felt completely at ease the whole time. Aaron was professional, respectful, experienced and informative. While he pierced me his apprentice watched and learned, they as well were so respectful and gave me some great advice. Front desk person was absolutely sweet, welcoming, and educated. This place is absolutely incredible. My friend and I just walked in today with no appointment and they were so friendly! Such good energy, it made our experience so comfortable and enjoyable. They made sure we had all the information needed, helped us (we’re picky indecisive people lol) find the perfect jewelry, and had us laughing the whole time. we will be back for sure.

Chop did a super amazing job on my tattoo! Very professional, clean and easy to talk to. He designed me up a beautiful tat and executed it perfectly. My tattoo has healed better than any Ive gotten elsewhere. Will be returning and recommend to others.

Went to take my girls in to get their ears pierced. My little one changed her mind but my oldest went through with it. Jenn was very fun and played with the kids before and after their appointment. The owner also came and helped so the ears could be pierced at the same time which was very cool! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the employees.

I had an Ashley piercing done with them and my lip swelled up more than anticipated. When I called them to ask what I should do they had me come in that day to have it replaced with a longer bar. They were super professional and understanding and very quick to fix the issue even though it was no fault of their own (nobody could have guessed I would swell up so bad 😅). It feels so much better already! I also have had several tattoos done here by Rahsa and she’s seriously the BEST. I gave her an idea of what I was wanting and she absolutely nailed it! Highly recommend, I have had every need met with excellence every time I go in there! 10/10!

This fun, outgoing young lady pierced my 13 yr old daughters nose for her birthday. After a long day in Seattle walking it was refreshing her humor took away my daughters anxiety but, she was straight up and informative and had no problem answering my kids question!! Awesome guest service 💯% suggest this place. My older daughter got a beautiful tattoo done here also!!! Also, shop is really amazing rooms private and selection of jewelry amazing. And their autoclave are visible 100% sanitary!! Great job guys.

I love this place! Not only is my favorite tattoo artist Allison there, but they also have great piercers. It is a busy shop, so be prepared to wait as they pierce on a first come, first serve basis.

Went in for Friday the 13th piercings—- everyone was super nice even though you could tell it was a little extra stressful— they took great care of my friend who got dizzy after their piercing. Didn’t try to rush us out without making sure we were doing well- Angelo was a great piercer.

I always get sketched out when a place has no bad reviews. But with that in mind... I recently turned 18 and was nervous about getting a piercing (other than my 1st earlobes) but I felt very comfortable and welcome there. All of their equipment was very organized and clean they dont even re use the markers which is good. I asked a handful of questions and my piercer was more than happy to answer all of them without hesitation. Would highly recommend this place.

I walked in for a piercing- everyone was super nice, clean, and professional. We were in and out within 10-15 minutes and I’m really happy with my new septum ring. They’re my first choice for future work now.

Wished we would have went here before a place in Poulsbo because it would have alleviated a lot of undue stress, due to the prior place telling our daughter she had the wrong anatomy for a naval piercing. Went in and got a septum, was about $100 for piercing and aftercare. Had a piercer named Jen and she was really nice and funny. Only took about a 10 minutes for wait and it was done pretty fast.

Artist Aaron provided friendly, efficient, and welcoming service when getting my nose pierced. Not only did he create a comfortable environment, but he did an amazing job and amused with a great sense of humor. Highly recommend!

Got my belly button repierced by Sheyna (probably spelled her name wrong), she was awesome. Very knowledgeable, great customer service and efficient. I was in and out in 10 minutes. This is a great place to get pierced.

I got my snake bites pierced here a little bit ago they were super clean, sweet and took there time making sure the dots were even. The piercings are healing perfectly and look great highlyyy recommend :)

The wait was incredibly long but piercer and piercing were very pleasant and professional! Aaron and the piercing apprentice were both very kind and helpful! was a little disappointed that the only jewelry that had for the bridge piercing i got were pieces $65+ and no simple cheaper pieces, but all in all my experience here was wonderful and i will be returning.

The piercer was great. She was very professional, funny, and she made sure it was perfect. She was skilled at making the actual piercing smooth and as painless as possible. Also, got a tattoo here a few years ago and the artist was fantastic. I would return for any piercings or tattoos and recommend it as well.

Great shop! Im only in the area for a couple weeks this year and they were not only able to find me some different jewelry I needed to be safe at work, but Rahsa was also able to get me a tattoo appointment! She was really sweet and able to match the tattoo I already had on my right to balance my chest out with a perfect counterpart tattoo on the left.Masks were worn by everyone I saw and they have plenty of sanitizer around as well if anyone reading this is nervous in these trying times.

Went to get a piercing. Shop was clean. Everyone was friendly. They have seperate tattoo rooms and piercing rooms which i love. Ramona originally helped get all set up for my piercing. I was so nervous. Both Ramona and Jen ended up piercing me at the same time to help with my nerves. They were both wonderful. Helped me stay calm and talked me through everything. I would recommend both of them for an piercing. I am beyond satisfied with my piercing. Thank you both so much.

Last week, a friend and I visited the shop in hopes of getting her tongue pierced. The piercer told us her anatomy wouldn’t do well with the piercing, so she decided to get a nostril piercing instead. After awhile of us waiting, a couple people come in, who appear to be friends with the piercer working. So, naturally the piercer loudly tells them all the discounts she’s giving them, in front of everyone else waiting, and brings them back before us. I asked a girl who was working behind the counter if we’d be seen next since we were in fact here before the ones being served now and she assured me that we were next. Another 15 minutes passes of nonstop chatter from the piercing room and my friend and I decided to just leave since we obviously weren’t a priority. If you want to go wait 45 minutes to get treated poorly for an overpriced piercing, this is your place.

Jen was soooo amazing!! She was patient in explaining the process of my piercing and the healing time frame. She helped me with sizing and knowing which gauge is best for my particular piercing. Very professional. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place for your piercing needs!! This is my second piercing here. First piercer was Ramona and she is so professional, informative, and comforting just like Jen was today!! Love this place!

I was nervous for my first gauge piercing. My end goal is bigger gauges and they guided me with confidence and knowledge. Definitely coming back.

All of the people who work here besides the front desk person are so friendly and kind, they make you feel very comfortable and it’s by far one of my favorite shops I’ve ever gotten pierced at. My first tattoo and worst was done here. Line works terrible. The guy was super heavy handed so my skins scarred and will be for years. I get told often it looks like a toddler did it and I feel nothing but embarassment when people ask to see it. I thought about whether to write this or not but I tried to go back after a couple months to see if they would do a touch up on the lines or literally anything cause of how poorly it was done and try to fix it and was told I would have to be charged the shop minimum per hour to have them fix their own mess up? No thanks. I tried giving them a second chance. This tattoo reminds me everyday to do better research before choosing an artist. This back alley parlor isnt a place you want to get your ink done. I tell anyone and everyone I know getting tattoos or piercings to avoid this place before they make a life long mistake

Today was my 3rd visit, I was pierced by Aaron this time. Wicked clean shop. Very friendly. Took the time to explain the jewelry options and sizes.Quick process and it looks good, shop had aftercare products available on site. And all questions were answered.

Great experience, Aaron was awesome. He took his time going through the options for a daith piercing. Didn’t try to sell us the most expensive jewelry just to make extra money. He explained everything and answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. Great place and will definitely be back.

I seriously cannot say enough good things about Golden Rule! I called them late yesterday and explained the memorial piece that we needed done for my husband, the importance, and that we were hoping to get it done ASAP. They immediately got us in for today! Bob was the artist and this is the BEST piece my husband has ever gotten. The tattoo looks even better than the picture that we provided. Bob took his time and really captured everything that we wanted and more. We will be coming back to finish this piece and for all other work for the remainder of our time in Washington.If you’re wanting a tattoo, definitely go to Golden Rule!

I was in to get a piercing done with my niece on Sunday the 5th of January and can say that I had an amazing experience. The staff are very professional. I’ve had other piercings done at this place and never had a bad experience. This is and always will be my go to spot for any future piercings. I’ve recommended this spot to family and friends.

To be honest, golden rule has pulled through for not only myself, but my kids as well, getting their piercings and they are always welcoming and do really good work. I reccomend them to people all the time and will continue to do so they rock and did an amazing job on my newest ink. Thank you aaron and brian. You guys were great. They were even open on the snowiest day yet. Thats pretty awesome. Great customer service guys your great!

My husband and I brought my daughter in on Easter to have her ears pierced. This is my 2nd Daughter and 2nd time going through this, (1st time doing it right) my daughter has been requesting this for over two years yet I think I was more nervous than she was 😂.Jen melted all my fears with her knowledge and how she treated my daughter as a equal, Not just a little kid. Jen was kind, gentle and extremely precise 💪.After this experience I will never go to a Claires or mall again and I will highly recommend this location to all of my friends and family...I hope to be back soon for my first facial piercing or possibly a new tattoo ❤

Absolutely recommend piercings here. I’ve gotten multiple piercings here, as well as had to go here to get some changed or ask for advice about them. The workers are super chill & always trying to help out no matter what. Love the environment and will always bring my business here.

Ever since I was little I had a terrible fear of needles, like literally had to consent to restraints or be held down by nurses for a simple blood draw. I really wanted to get my nose pierced though and my friend took me to Golden Rule. The piercer was SO patient and put up with me and my shenanigans for about 20 minutes until I finally (kinda) let him pierce me. It was done before I could even pull away and no blood! I so appreciated his understanding and ability to make me feel comfortable. 10/10!

Went in the other day to ask a question about a very personal tattoo idea. It would have taken 2 seconds to answer, but instead I was told my 2 options were to wait 25-30 minutes to ask, or shout it out in front of the customers that were seated in the waiting area and everyone else in the studio. (Mind you the person I spoke with was NOT CURRENTLY tattooing or piercing. They were about to set up for a piercing). Not to mention, the person was talking to me from another room. To me, that isnt great business practice, especially for someone who was about to spend at least 800 or more on a piece. Unfortunately, I will have to move to a place where I feel more accepted and respected as a customer, even though I really liked the work I saw online.

Came in for a tattoo of my husband’s submarine and my wedding dates. I gave Brian a rough drawing of what I’d like and he took it and ran with it! He came back with a beautiful design in a week with colorful waves and the submarine with my dates on the side. I am so happy with the outcome and will definitely be coming back for more tattoos in the future. Also, well priced for beautiful tattoos!

I really enjoyed my time today. I went in on an impulse to get my naval done and Jen rocked my world. My piercing Id straight as hell and I loooooved my time with her. She also went out of her way to help me with my rejecting dermal that Ive had for years (she did not do it). The process was so gentle and virtually painless compared to having it done and rejecting (that sucks). I appreciate her sooooo much for fixing my face and decorating my belly button. I will 100% be back. Also shes hilarious so that helps!!

Wonderful experience, I went in to get my naval repierced and the gal that helped me ended up saving me a bit by just reopening the previous hole. In addition, she was even more wonderful by just being a friendly personality as well as being patient with me (I have severe anxiety, especially when it comes to pain). Highly recommend going!

So freaking PISSED right now. One week into my piercing, and its feeling good. I feel the side of my ear, and realize the post isnt in the way. So I feel back of the piercing, and theres is NOTHING THERE. So I touch the front, and the $50 earring used in the piercing falls out, with about 1/8 of post still attached. It broke in half. I have no idea where the other half is. What kind of cheap materials are you using?? Glad I spent $80 there, plus a tip. And Im not local, so I cant even go back and demand my money back.

The staff are wishy-washy. Heres my story. We came in Thursday evening get our daughters ears pierced we were told that the earrings started per ear 25.99 plus the piercing which was 10.00 per ear. They were not able to perform the piercing because it was late. I had called them again Friday evening to see if we could provide our own jewelry for my daughters to get their ears pierced the the gentleman said yes that I spoke to you over the phone. Saturday we had went back to get our daughters ears pierced before coming into the shop I had called to verify to make sure that we are able to use our own earrings for the piercing. The gentleman that I spoke to over the phone which I wish I would have gotten his name said yes we could use our own earrings. As I was getting ready to let my daughters go back and get their ears done the gentleman with the purple hair had said that they could not use their own earrings. We had to purchase their earrings. Now the earrings are $25 per pair plus the piercing. We left due to the fact that theyre being wishy-washy with their pricing and giving us improper information.

Cant say enough good things about Golden Rule! My mom recently got a tattoo here and raved about her experience so I decided to give them a shot and Im so glad I did. Brian did amazing work and made sure my best friend and I got exactly what we wanted. Professional, friendly, and talented!

Waited about 3 hours to get my lip piercing when there was only four people in front of me. The piercer kept coming out, walking around, and was on the phone a lot. It was very unprofessional and could have been done a lot quicker. The actual piercing was put in with too short of a bar and I ended up having to go somewhere else to get it fixed.

I had a really great experience here today! Chop worked on a tattoo for me that I have been wanting for years now. Good, clean atmosphere and wonderful customer service! I will definitely be recommending Golden Rule in the future.

I have seven piercings and have experienced zero pain. I came here to get my tongue pierced which compared to all of my other piercings shouldn’t have been bad. When they put the clamp on they told me to let them know if it was too tight, since the clamp was on my tongue too tight, I tried to talk and let them know it was hurting me and they just continued. I even waved my arms a little to be like hey this isn’t right. When the person was telling me to take the deep breath in and about to pierce it, they stuck the needle in about 1/4 of the way into my tongue already and then on the deep breath out they went through the rest of the way. The piercing is crooked and chances are I’ll need it redone. I recommend going to Aperture Professional piercing. The week after my tongue was done at golden rule I went there and just that same week another girl came in with the same problem. They are a much better atmosphere and great piercers there.

Well... To start.. We came in because my daughter had the ball of her daith peircing fall out and I wasnt able to screw it back in myself so that was the reason for the visit.When we got there, we were told that there was one person in front of us so we had to wait. So we sat in the lobby for about a half an hour and still hadnt been seen. And neither had the couple in front of us. I asked the behind the counter person that works the cash register if we could leave and go to Ross to putz around until it was our turn. We spent a half an hour in Ross. We came back to the studio and the couple in front of us still hadnt been seen. So we waited for another 15 minutes before we were called. The guy that called us and was the piercer for that day, I assumed was a helper of sorts because when we first showed up, he was maskless in the back area sweeping and cleaning and dancing to the music that was playing on the speakers. So I was shocked that with there being a line of people waiting to be helped that he wasnt tending to anyone. When we finally were called back into the room I told him that we were just doing a quick fix and we werent being pierced that day. The whole process of him just re screwing in the ball took over 40 minutes because he would leave the room come back with nothing get distracted and leave the room again and he acting either high on drugs or intoxicated.The whole encounter was very unsettling. Come to find out later, it was the owner!!!!!I would recommend anywhere else to get pierced if he is the one who will help you.I usually go to Jennifer who works there but she was out of town and we were in sort of an emmergent situation as my daughters piercing was falling out and I didnt have the dexterity to fix it myself. We should have left but hindsight is 20/20 and I just wanted her piercing fixed up.

Literally go anywhere else for a piercing. Aperture Piercing in Poulsbo is a sanctuary compared to this place. I came in to get my septum redone and the piercer spent the longest time fidgeting around my nose. They also told me that the jewelry they pierced it with was going to hang down low. The next day they told me they were out of stock of the ones that hang low. The piercer also barely twisted the ball onto the end of my septum ring and it legit fell off after I walked out. Id say you get what you pay for, but theyd have to give piercings out for free if that was true.

I’ve had every single piercing done here, they’re always professional and extremely clean. The staff makes you feel comfortable. Jens the best piercer for sure.

My experience here was GREAT!! I came in to repierce my lip and he could have just charged me for the piercing but he looked at my old one and found out it was still open, tapered it, and only charged me for the jewelry. Then I asked him about my tragus and same thing...I walked in looking to get one piercing and walked out with 2 for the price of jewlery. Definitely recommend

Went here for my about 2 days before my 18th birthday with my mom to get snakebites done and ask about setting up a tattoo appointment to be on my birthday and was told (very rudly) that I wasnt aloud to ask about tattoos because I wasnt old enough even tho I just wanted to know if they had openings the following week and prices for them as well. Secondly, my snakebites were done pretty straight Ill give them that but afterwards I was given an outdated care packet and my new piercings got super infected. I went back in about 2 weeks later and was told that its normal and if it doesnt go away in another 2 weeks then to come back. It didnt so I was back 2 weeks later with a severely infected lower lip and was told that I was doing it wrong and that it was my fault they got so bad for not taking care of them and being a lazy teenager I then told her and showed her the packet thing she gave me and what I was doing to care for them and she got mad telling me she never gave it to me and I was a liar. She then gave me a new one with actual care instructions and they still werent working. Had to go somewhere else for them to help me. The lady also made us buy the salt spray even tho we told her we didnt want it. Worst piercing place Ive ever been to and I got my ears pierced at Walmart. Walmart was better and they used a gun. Super bad. Do not reccomend for getting piercing on the face done at least.

My brother and I got our noses pieced together they were amazing and were joking with us! We also had some down time to play the dead pool pinball game. Plus I got chocolate :) 10 out of 10 I recommend.

The artist I saw was rude. He basically told me the tattoo I wanted was not the tattoo I wanted and I would regret it later ..then he didnt even touch the lines of my heart, its not my desired thickness. I hate it and after 3 days... Looking for a new artist to fix it. For 20 something years of being a tattoo artist... Hes mediocre. And then an assistant behind the counter did not know what he was doing and put witch hazel in an alcohol bottle. I knew i should have walked out... Wish I would have. Please research... You can find a WAY better place then this.

I really recommend this place for anyone looking to get a piercing. I had my nose pierced here, it was quick and easy, but I ended up having issues with the jewelry (the threading was broken) and it fell out while I was at school. They had to replace the jewelry, and pierce my nose again. They played for it all, since I had issues with my jewelry. Thank you so much!

It irritates me how some of these reviews are negative - for stupid reasons IMO. I’ve worked front counter at tattoo shops in the mid-west. Photocoping ID’s is protocol no matter how old you are, or look. Longer waiting times are normal because customers often times need to take breaks during tattoo sessions which cause appointments to run over. I have 18 piercings (most of them from this parlor) and I’m heavily tattooed (a lot from here as well). Been going to The Golden Rule since they were located back by the Silverdale waterfront park. I’ve NEVER had an issue.Ya’ll need to take a step back and think, this is one of the longest running tattoo and piercing parlors in Kitsap County. They stand by their work and 100% help you if you’re having problems with a survice they provide, come back and they will fix it. They are VERY hygienic and knowledgeable. - THIS IS WHY THEY ARE STILL HERE AND GOING STRONG.I had a tattoo done 6 YEARS ago from one of their artists (who still works there.) and he touched up the tattoo he gave me FOR FREE after all those years. Even though I didn’t take care of it (didn’t use sun block, picked at it when it was fresh, etc.) he backs his work.Maybe your issues with them are due to your own ignorance on proper aftercare because you didn’t listen to your artist after your survice? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Or it was an unforeseen issue with your body rejecting the piercing/having an allergy to some product you used on it during the healing process (IT HAPPENS). This is NOT their fault. So don’t leave them a crappy review.Just saying...

I was so excited to get my 1st tattoo done. So i liked this place cause Ive done my piercings here. So i decided to get a tattoo, well let me tell you. Worst experience ever, the girl did my tattoo less than a hour super ugly she did it nothing how the image i showed her. I was sooo disappointed still gotta go complain tho.

I got a couple piercings here and i absolutely love them! It was painless or as painless as possible and the staff were amazing! Love the environment! Cant wait to come back for some ink next!

They are all very knowledgeable about what they do and the best after care techniques for a fresh tattoo or peircing and taking care of ones jewelry. We took our son here to get his ears pierced the lady was very professional and provided a very stress free experience for him. He has not stopped talking about how cool the lady was who did his ears.

I got a snowflake tattoo down my spine done by Jason. It looks okay but i was wondering why after six months it still continues to irritate me and is so bumpy. Well he pushed too deep into my skin and now my skin and tattoo are scarred. I also had a tiara tattoo done by him behind my ear. I had already drawn what I wanted and came in with the drawing, he tattooed something completely different and bad. I am now getting the tiara for sure and maybe the snowflake completely removed because of the awful job he did. Its embarassing that I trusted this tattoo shop and didnt go to a quality place that cares about what theyre putting on your skin.

Always a great time when I come to Golden Rule. Been coming here for years and I always enjoy their down to earth personality and professionalism. Highly encourage anyone to go here for any of their piercing or tattoo needs!

I called and made an appointment. Came from Seattle and asked the receptionist about the appt. the guy pulls out his iPhone checks his texts and says we haven’t heard from Jason. Jason wasn’t there... apparently he hadn’t been in all morning. Okay.... I get if life gets in the way, but the receptionist took down my number when I made the appt and you couldn’t call me? Give me a little “hey this isn’t a good time”? I didn’t get angry, I honestly just stood there speechless.And then, to just add a little salt, one of the female piercers just started to get defensive about the situation when my friend made a comment about it. Like, uh, you have two (ex) clients standing here and you are gonna defend what’s going on? Like I should be understanding if I made an appt and no one calls to say it isn’t happening? Like how does that make it better?Considering he was not there yet and who knows if he would be I said “you know what. I’m not going to get one today” and they asked me to reschedule and I was like I really don’t know, maybe I’ll call. As I’m leaving the piercer yells to me that they’ll take good care of me next time. Are you for real. Did you actually think after that I’d come back?Advice to Jason and Golden Rule: if your tattoo artist is not in, please call your store (if you can) or at least reception should call the client(s) if he hasn’t showed up all morning instead of standing there awkwardly. And to that piercer- the only thing that you should have said was “I’m sorry”. Everything else you said continued to make it a little worse, just be a little decent and maybe understand MY situation.

Everyone was friendly & the front desk person answered all of my questions patiently; the place was clean & sanitized in between each customer, & Aaron did a great job with my piercing. I will be going back when Im ready for some new ink.

I went in to pay a quoted price for a tattoo deposit and they wanted to charge me more than what I was quoted. I had email proof of the original quote and they wouldnt honor it....I ended up going somewhere else.HONOR YOUR WORD!!!!!

I went around to tattoo shops all day to get a price for simple roses, I was told $150 per rose and even more for the lettering i wanted, I was told up to $500 for the simplest of rose tattoos, until I got here, Cory did my tattoo and did it exactly like I asked, and didnt charge me but $150 total. It looks amazing and I will be going back to cory to get my coloring done soon.

They are very professional and they have a sterilization room that anyone can see their rooms are parted and maintain privacy. There is no clutter it is neet orderly and efficient. Their materials are tastefully on display and they have a calm and competent staff.

I went in to receive a simple exchange of a nose stud for a nose ring. For an unreasonable amount of money I spent 20 min in the chair with them screwing around with my nose and piercing. I walked out with my nose in extreme pain and the new nose ring still in the bag. I was told to go home and try it myself. Please do not waste your time or money here.

I was told to sit and wait someone would be with me. Folks came and went being helped before me while I sat for 45 min. They seemed like returning customers. I asked how long till I could talk to someone, yet again I was told too sit and wait. If you don’t already know the people working their, you get ignored. Don’t recommend the service for new customers.

I visited here recently to ask about if they did walk-ins for tattoos and they don’t which was totally fine but the service I received from one of their employees wasn’t very helpful. I was hoping that they would maybe help with making a appointment for a consultation or something but they didn’t. I was just told that they don’t do walk-ins and then I was just left at the front desk to just awkwardly walk out of the shop.

Got the worst tattoo of my life here! Tattoo artist didnt use black ink but used a faded dark blue color instead. My tattoo was just 4 words and he completely messed it up with his shaky hand. Worst part was the ink bled under my skin leaving a permanent blue halo on my tattoo. My tattoo looked like I had it done 15 years ago in a friends garage. The guy that did the tattoo said he guarantees his work and would do touch ups but theres no way Id ever set foot near that guy or this place again. I had to spend more money to get a cover up done on my awful tattoo by a way more talented artist in a different shop.Edit: I dont remember the tattooers name but he was a tall skinny Caucasian male with tattoos next to his eyes and dermal piercings under his eyes.

I had my naval pierced here. It was pierced crooked, along with too much skin. So the piercing has opened up on both sides and is infected despite me cleaning in twice a day with their cleaning solution. Unbelievable.

All i want to say is if youre going to get a piercing here, get it from the older gentleman with all the tattoos, not the younger female. She did a few of my piercings and they were all very painful getting done and left ridiculous scars. I have plenty of piercings, all of which caused no pain, except for hers.
