I love coming to liberty for my piercings. Val and Emmi are very knowledgeable and efficient. Everything is sterilized while you wait and the environment is very clean. Emmi has done 4 piercings and a change out for me. I always feel so comfortable here and the piercings are over before I know it.

I just got my conch pierced by Emmi who always does a beautiful job with my piercings. I’ve been coming to Emmi for years and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. She also has the best options for jewelry. Love it here! Would definitely recommend!

Valeri is very professional, I got two piercings done yesterday , best experience always, I’ve been going to her for piercings for over 4-5 years. Emmi is also very professional , they’re both sweet , I recommend both girls highly. ♥️

Went to Val for a piercing. She was very friendly and informative! I went to Emma to get the jewelry sized down. She was really chill and helped me pick out the gem I wanted.

Spotlessly clean, visually striking, varied and interesting. My daughters appointment was with Emmi. Not a long wait. Emmi was friendly and assuring and did a wonderful job. My daughter was very pleased. Two artists were watching an old favorite...Highlander. Good choice guys. There can be only one!

Dan gave me an absolutely beautiful arm piece. His shop is spotless. It’s an extremely comfortable environment, everyone who works there was very nice and professional! Dan was very accommodating. He listened to what I was looking for in my tattoo and my piece came out better than I could ever imagine! I would definitely go back & highly recommend.

I have now been pierced three separate times by Val. She is truly one of the best. She is incredibly sweet & welcoming, and makes the entire process of getting pierced 1000x easier. I really appreciate the fact that she’s willing to go into so much detail on aftercare (and she actually gives proper advice that has led to amazing healing of my piercings!!!!) & she answers any questions that I have. You can tell she’s extremely dedicated to her work & has a ton of experience. The studio itself is very clean. I am so happy with all of the piercings she’s given me.

Every employee at Liberty Tattoo Co. has extensive portfolios that speak for themselves. The talent here cannot be matched. The shop holds the art of tattooing to a higher standard than most and it shows. The owner Dan does all of my tattoos and I receive compliments on them all the time. Not only is Dan an exceptional artist but he will make you feel right at home in his shop. I highly recommend anyone interested in tattoos or piercings to go here.

Went in with an idea for some artwork for my wife. Spoken with Dan, he took our idea and gave it some artistic creativity. It came out awesome, my wife is extremely happy with it. Ended up getting myself some ink also. Gave him a general idea of what I wanted and he drew it up. Fantastic experience, especially since this was my wifes FIRST tattoo. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. Fantastic pricing, its really nice to find a shop that doesnt inflate its prices.

Went here for a piercing after my boyfriend had gotten an amazing tattoo from Adam. Went to Valeri and it was the best piercing experience I’ve ever had. She was very informative and comforting throughout the process. Would definitely recommend!!!

Just got my septum done by Val! Super easy and smooth process- She was super nice and professional, and really patient when I forgot to get my form notorized and waited for me to come back. She was so so so helpful and definitely calmed my nerves. Definitely go here if you want to get your septum done :)

Amazing staff and shop. Have been tattooed by everyone and loved every experience there. Got my first tattoo there and everyone was sweet and patient with me from minute one. I recently just got a piercing from Val. She was so professional and explained the aftercare process to me in detail. She was so nice and friendly. The shop was so clean and welcoming. She took me and my fiancé in right away even though we had late at night appointments and was so accommodating. I would go again and again! 10/10 recommend!

My sister and I each had our first tattoos here today. Adam did mine, I drove to Huntington, picked up my sister and she got hers. Adam was kind, thoughtful and did exactly what we wanted. Very thorough going over instructions. Place was neat and clean. I would DEFINITELY recommend Liberty Tatoo.

Emmi is absolutely amazing!!!! She’s done a few of my piercings and she is so gentle and hardly any pain. She is very thorough and tells you step by step what she is doing and the healing process. 15/10 recommend 😍

I just got my piercing from Val and she is amazing! This is the best piercing experience I have ever had! Friendly, funny and most of all professional & informative! I was more than happy with their service and very satisfied with the cleanliness of the shop as well. I will definitely go back. Not the best experience, I can’t speak for the tattoos, but Val did my piercing and my friends. First, during a conversation she had with my friend she explained how people will come to her to explain she messed up their piercing and she explained to my friend how she didn’t mess up their piercings they didn’t take care of it properly after leaving the shop. (Should’ve been my red flag) Well long and behold, my cartilage piercing was done and was crooked as well as my friends double helix that Val did. Both my friend and I have had these piercings for 3 years and they still aren’t healed. My friend and I have plenty of other piercing that healed perfectly fine, so I was surprised that this one was so expensive + she had the best reputation, but then it was very sloppy work. I didn’t even bother going back to her to explain the situation given that it seemed like from the conversation my friend had with her she won’t take any accountability for her own sloppy work. It’s not to invalidate everyone who had a good experience with her, but maybe she drops the ball every now and then and my friend and I are those unfortunate clients that are a product of that.

I love Liberty! I’m not usually one to write reviews but I’ve been coming here long enough and love everyone here so much that to not have had written a review is blasphemy! I used to see a tattoo artist that no longer works here but everyone in the shop is so talented, and when I’m not a broke b!tch I will be going back for more tattoos. Liberty is the coolest atmosphere and everyone who works there is so welcoming and just rad. As of lately I’ve been going to Val for my piercings and I can’t compliment her enough. She takes her time and puts all her effort in her piercing to make sure the end result is always beautiful! I’ve also seen Emmi, and she is just as pleasant and comfortable to get pierced by. I really couldn’t recommend everyone there enough! I have even sent my family and friends there, as I always get compliments on my body modifications

I just got a tattoo done by an artist named Jon and I absolutely loved the experience. Besides the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere, Jon was extremely patient, kind, and attentive to detail when doing my tattoo. Not to mention, he made an effort to have a conversation with me throughout the appointment which I really appreciated :) He would offer honest input when I asked for his opinion(s) and made sure to take his time to ensure that I was satisfied with the end result. I have gotten tattoos before and this was by far the best experience: the pricing of the tattoo was very fair, my artist was patient and kind, and all in all I walked out very content. I feel as though his genuine nature really showed and I will definitely be going back to him to get another tattoo! I definitely recommend this place and of course Jon!

Emmi did the piercing for my forward helix, my daughters upper helix and my sons lobe. They all came out great! Shes super helpful and let me know how to take care of everything for proper healing. I plan to go back to her for more. I highly recommend her!

Adam was the one who did my tattoo. He was very professional, but also very friendly. I tend to talk a lot and he kept up conversation with me. He allowed me to make last minute changes to the design. He made the experience a good one. There was no akwardness or nervousness with him. He made me feel welcome and relaxed. His work is BEAUTIFUL! He gave me EXACTLY what I wanted.

Eh so so…. I got my piercing here… and Val had totally pierced my navel crooked. Then when I brought it up she proceeded to tell me that it’s swollen, and it’ll straighten out. Well, it never even healed correctly because it was pierced at such an angle. I had to take it out because it never healed and was so crooked. Complete waste of money, and felt lied to. I got it repierced and you can see how off center Val had pierced it because of the scar it left. I am surprised because this store has such a good reputation and high prices, yet Val seems to do sloppy work in my experience. I have several piercings from different places (eyebrow, tongue, ears) and paid most for this one but this one was the most awfully done. Tattoo artist produces nice work, though. Would only come back for tattoos.

Val is incredible. Shes super friendly and knowledgeable. Made me feel comfortable, and every piercing Ive gotten with her has been quick and easy. Worth the trek to the island from NJ. Will be coming back in the future.

I’ve gotten a total of 5 piercings now by Val and she is awesome. She talks you through everything and you can tell she’s experienced. The entire place is clean & tidy. I will continue to go to her for all my piercings in the future!

Ive been pierced by both Val & Emmi. Both very skilled and such amazing talented piercer babes. Liberty Tattoo Company made the piercing experience so comfortable and easy. Val pierced my daith in August, she was quick, and I gave me such a wonderful piercing experience. It is healing amazing. My face dermal is over 2 years old that was done by Emmi and its still rocking hard!! I highly recommend this tattoo shop & these rad ladies.

Valerie did a triple helix piercing for me. She was great - she was extremely patient with me. I was very nervous about doing these piercings but she did everything she could to make me feel comfortable. She knows a lot about piercings (I feel like most piercers don’t communicate with their clients enough - but she did beyond that). I definitely will be coming back to her soon! Recently got my Belly button pierced by Val. She was awesome. I had spoke with her leading up to my appointment and had been so nervous. She couldn’t have been nicer or more knowledgeable! She made me feel super at ease and comfortable, and she listened to all my concerns and worries. She also educated me on piercing care and really helped prepare me for what to expect. Liberty tattoo was super clean and was definitely following all COVID protocols. Everyone was super professional. Highly recommend it and will definitely be going back!!

I was able to quickly and easily book an appointment online for a jewelry upgrade. I went in after losing an earring in a third lobe piercing that began to close up because it was irritated. Emmi was super helpful and was able to help me find a beautiful white opal heart and offered to even install it for me :) that saved me the trouble of doing it myself and I was in and out within ten minutes. It was a great experience and I would recommend them for any of your piercing needs or troubleshooting questions.

Popped in for a walk-in back on Halloween. Decided to go with the gumball machine and ended up with this sick bat. Adam went over and above on this. This place is awesome. Will definitely be back again in the future.

Dan and his whole team at Liberty are complete professionals and wonderful artists. My wife and I have frequented this shop for more than 6 years and have always gotten the best service. Dan tattooed a bio-organic 3/4 sleeve for me and I couldnt be happier with how it came out. Great atmosphere, fairly priced and highly recommended!

Will not go anywhere else other than here! The place is very clean and everyone is super nice and helpful. I’ve gotten a few piercings from Val and she’s the absolute best and sweetest. I came in for a piercing right as they opened. I was greeted almost immediately by Val. She was very informative about all of the piercings I had questions about. I ended up getting my septum. Val and Chris are great!*Val has changed out a nose ring for me and was so gentle! Liberty has been in business for almost a decade on Smithtown Main Street for a reason - they’re really good at what they do. Every tattooer in that shop has a clean station, a good attitude, and pure talent. I threw a design at him the day of our scheduled tattooing appointment and he nailed it right on the spot no problem. No elitist attitudes or egos. I have gone to Val for 2 lobe piercings, an industrial, a daith, a double helix, and a conch piercing. Every time it has been a wonderful experience. The shop is clean and Val is more than happy to help make sure your piercings are in the perfect spot so they both look good and heal well. She is super helpful with care as well, she knows what she’s talking about, and if you listen to her instructions you won’t have any problems healing your piercings!!

We brought our 6 yr old daughter to Val to get her ears pierced. She was excited but a little scared and nervous. Val did a great job explaining things, joking around and calming her down. When the needle went through, she literally said, weeeee! So fun. She spent the rest of the day so excited about her new sparkly earrings.I got one too. I cried.Just kidding. Val was super gentle and very professional. Shop was spotless as well.Fun family trip and for my little one, a fond memory of a coming of age experience.Highly recommend!!!P.S. I got a nostril piercing done here by Val a couple weeks ago, ive had no problems and absolutely love it, it barely even hurt :) would definitely recommend and will be going back there in the future for other piercings and to have help switching out jewelry (also it hasnt gotten caught on my mask too much which is nice)edit - 2 years later, was looking at places to get my 17th? i think? piercing and saw this review i left. still stand by it, that piercing is one of my cleanest healed piercings.

I brought my 8 year old in for her ear piercing today. Val was absolutely fantastic, she was sweet, comforting and an overall pro! She made my daughter feel super comfortable, in fact, my daughter didn’t even flinch. Piercing with a needle is so much more sanitary and safer than the piercing gun used at the mall. This place was clean, professional and unintimidating. So glad we came, I highly recommend.

I go to one dude in particular but everyone in the shop is hella friendly. They all produce good, solid, quality work and I personally, nor has anyone I know, complained about them. I get compliments on my tattoos daily on how vibrant the colors are and how great the artwork is. I won’t be going anywhere else for my tattoos and I refer and will refer many people including family to this shop!

I’ve been hesitant to write this review after all this time but I just hope it will be seen so people use caution before coming here since I ended up with medical bills due to Val losing jewelry in my nose. I went into the shop about a month before the beginning of the March 2020 shutdown. I had gotten 2 high nostril piercings and a nostril done out of state so I came here just for a jewelry change. I asked Val if she felt comfortable changing the bars, knowing it was not a commonly done piercing until recently, she said that we could do it. She lost the new bar in my nose and we were not able to recover it. She put in the jewelry for the other new piercing and did not screw it on all the way so it fell out (I did not touch it to check after the appointment since my nose was so irritated and didn’t want to cause more inflammation at that point). After I got up and she told me to go to the urgent care across the street— they did not have the equipment to look far enough up my nose to try and find it— I was then told to immediately go to an ENT in case it got stuck somewhere and could cause an infection. Ran around all afternoon trying to make sure this accident didn’t cause more damage. Even after shops opened again I was still terrified of having someone touch my nose again until recently had it redone by a more experienced shop owner out of town. Very upset that I walked in and lost 2 piercings, did not ID, and did not have me sign anything, and there really wasn’t much of an apology when I contacted the shop after. When I called back to try and reach Val she was not there, and she did not reach back out to me. Every person I’ve told this story to has urged me to write a review because getting jewelry lost in someone’s body is dangerous and people should only come in for services the artists are trained and capable of doing— I would much rather have an artist say “hey I don’t know if I can do this” and recommend a different artist instead of just winging it. I hope no one has to go through the same or similar experience. She probably has some great work, but I would not recommend anyone get high nostril jewelry changed here & if you do get jewelry changed make sure it’s properly tightened before leaving.

I wouldn’t have the time to list all of the positives of this shop. I’ve had the opportunity to know the entire crew at Liberty for many years, and have had the pleasure of knowing Jon Sudano for 20 years. I have literally only gone to him for every piece that I have. I would never even entertain the idea of going to another shop. At Liberty you get attention to detail, professionalism, and every artists personal touch that differentiates their work from anyone else. I will 100% of the time always recommend them. Keep up the great work guys.

Got 2 of my first piercings (eyebrow and earlobe) by Val and the whole process was very simple and clean. the piercing part happened in the same amount of time it would take to add $5 of gas to my car in 2022. its been a few days now and i havent experienced any pain, irritation, bruising, swelling, etc. definitely will be coming back once i figure out what else id like to get pierced.

Val is the absolute coolest!! I have eight piercings by Val so far and I’m never disappointed. She always makes sure you’re comfortable and knowledgeable about the aftercare. Can’t recommend her enough!!

This is a great parlor for traditional work. Everyone here is super helpful. The shop is clean, organized, and professional. Every time I’ve come they’re either streaming a cult classic movie or Family Guy which is nice, too. Jon S is incredible and a real master. Definitely will be coming back regularly!

I have been going to Liberty for years. I have referred at least a dozen people to the shop and have never been dissatisfied. Dan and his crew are top of the line. I have moved several states away and will return to the island just to get my work done, by people I trust. Should be coming back this summer to finally finish by back tattoo by Dan.

I had last minute messaged Emmi on Instagram to come in to replace my nose piercing and she was so helpful. She answered within two minutes! She was super friendly and I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking to get a piercing! 😁

I went in to get my belly button piercing about a month ago. My mom brought the notarized letter of consent for me to get it done since i’m a minor. the owner was rude and didn’t have a good attitude at all. she talked me about of getting it since you cant swim with it for a couple weeks. we agreed to reschedule and make the appointment for august 30th. when i went in today she did not have the appointment or the letter of consent that she assured me she would hold until my new appointment. not only did she loose the letter she was wasn’t apologetic. she told us to go across the street to get a new one even though she lost it. she looked up my name on the system and said my name was scheduled for july 30th but no last name with it. she didn’t even care to ask my last name for the appointment and had the wrong date put in. overall had a bad experience and the woman val was rude and unfriendly. not worth going there at all

Iv, only gotten 3 tattoos, theyve all been by Dan. 2 of them...awesome viking themed ones on both forearms and get compliments on them all the time, I love them. I recently moved to S.C. and I plan to get more in the future and will only be going back to NY to get them from Dan. Iv recommended countless friends here and only think the world of this shop. Have gotten a majority of my tattoos done here. Always friendly, clean, professional, and understanding of your vision for your tattoo design. Have been tattooed by all but one of the artists and each time and been great.Additionally Mike Z is a milksop ninnyhammer who sits down to pee and orders his steak well done only to enjoy it with ketchup and Bud light lime.

Very clean! My artist was Adam and I had a hip surgery scar from two salvage procedures and we turned my scar into a feather and it was honestly the best tattoo experience Ive ever had. Adam is awesome and I love him! Deff going back there for more work!

I had been looking around all day for tattoo shop to no avail. So I gave up. I tried my search one more time and Liberty popped up. I read the reviews and that alone gave me a good feeling. I followed my gut and I must say...it was right!! I walked in was immediately greeted. I was directed to the piercer Vallery and I swear she walked out of piercing heaven. Val was simply amazing! She told me everything I needed to know about my nose piercing, she was quick and the pain level was about a 2 out of 10. I will DEFINITELY visit again!!

I work right by Liberty Tattoo and twice now Ive walked in during my lunch break for a piercing. Val is honestly a piercing GOD. She goes over all you need to know, and is one of the best piecers Ive ever had. Shes quick and because of that you barely feel any pain. Ive had an upper cartilage and my tragus pierced by her and the healing process has been great. I highly recommend going here for any piercing. The price is good and you wont be disappointed. Cant wait to get another one!

The artist I worked with, Sarah, is a consummate professional. I was a walk-in appointment, she met with me to discuss my design, sketched something up on the spot, and created a beautiful piece that I am MORE than happy with. She brought my idea to life in a way that I couldnt believe. The shop itself was comfortable, clean, and laid back. I intend to go back to Liberty for future tattoos.

Decided on a whim to get my first tattoo. Found this shop here on Google and it had really good reviews, so I decided to stop in and check it out. It was very clean, very professional and I was put at ease. They even got me started not long after I walked in the door with no appointment. It was a bit pricey for a small, simple tattoo but the quality was well worth it.

Ive had all my tattoos done here by Jon. Had a great time, and theyve always got something good on the television. Traditional style but they will work with you based on what you want. They will also help with advice on positioning and shading if youre not too sure. My Bulbasaur tattoo gets complents every time I wear shorts :)

I travel from Georgia to get my tattoos done here. I have 3 total from Liberty, and they’re all great tattoos. My third tattoo was a cover up, and you would never know I had another tattoo in that spot. Love this place!

I’ve been getting tattooed by Adam since he was an apprentice and followed him to Liberty . This is by far the best shop he’s been at . Super clean and a friendly staff that always makes you feel welcome . Whenever I get asked about my tattoos I always recommend Liberty.

Ok so I am going to go on a bit of a rant but overall I just advise anyone planning to come here for a PIERCING to reconsider. I do not have any tattoo experience so I a cannot say anything good or bad about that, I am just solely telling you about how bad the piercer here is (Val). I got my tragus pierced after a lot of research and this place seemed like it had great reviews. Well, to my mistake most of those 5 star reviews were about the tattoo artist, not the piercer. My tragus was clearly pierced on the wrong spot and when I very disappointedly said it to her the moment she pierced it, she tried to convince me that I was wrong and that she was the professional. Anytime any of my friends would look at my piercing they would say that there was no way that is a tragus piercing because it literally looked like it was on the side of my face. I was very disappointed and the piercing obviously never healed because it was in the wrong spot. I took all the piercers advise about the sea salt spray and applying tea tree oil but it was all just more waste of money. Nothing would help it in the slightest because it was in THE WRONG SPOT. I had my pediatrician, a Stat health MD, and my dermatologist look at it and they all told me that it was pierced way too close to my face and not on the actual tragus flap. They also told me that the piercer also put the needle through at a slant, not straight through which is why the piercing was rubbing against on my face causing an infection that would not heal unless I took it out. I continuously contacted Val updating her about this and she denied that it was her mistake at all and told me that I was wrong. I very nicely asked her for my $60 back because this was obviously her fault and that she could take the earring out and keep that as well but she completely denied and said she could try piercing the other one instead. THE BIGGEST JOKE I have ever heard that this lady thought I would trust her to ruin my other ear. I had to take the earring out nevertheless and now I have an ugly scar that will never go away. (The picture will clearly show u the scar after I took out the earring and clearly Val pierced me in the wrong spot otherwise the scar wouldnt be literally on the side of my face). I didnt get my money back and just had to deal with pain for over a year and did I mention, could NOT sleep on my left side even for a second for over that entire year. So please, save your time and money... and please DO NOT GET A PIERCING HERE.
