My 2 sisters and I got matching tattoos done by Dave today and we can’t say enough good things! It was a great experience from the very start when we booked the appointments. The shop is super clean, everyone we met that works there is amazing and our artist nailed it! Highly recommend!!!

We brought our 8 & 6 year old to have their ears pierced. Shannon is a phenomenal piercer. She was really great with the kids. After a bad experience with Claires, we were extremely happy that we went with Shannon at Magnum Opus and had the kids ears pierced professionally. We are 2 weeks into healing, and the piercings look so good and healthy! The girls love them! Thank you again, Shannon!

Pat the piercer did a fantastic job today he pierced my left nostril and my dermal under my right eye and it was quick and virtually painless I’m so happy and he lined up my most piercing perfectly with the other side that I already had pierced

Pat was knowledgeable, clean, efficient, and professional. He was very clear with instructions on how to take care of the piercing. Also he made very good suggestions when we weren’t sure what piercing to get for my daughter. He did the daith a few months ago and put in the new jewelry and she got the conch piercing today. She’s a happy girl.

I received a conch piercing and it never healed. I went to another shop and found out he pierced it with a curved barbell instead of the flat back it was supposed to be done with. I now have a lot of scar tissue and will need it surgically removed. DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE. I have also learned he CONSTANTLY does this to people. I am not the first ! PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. My friend and other people have had problems as well. The jewlery he uses is also cheap. SAVE YOUR MONEY !! I dont want others to have to deal with this.(responding to your comment) if you have all these people talking about how great your piercings are why are there several people going through the same problem all from piercings you have done. I went to a different piercing shop and was told how many people come to them to fix your mistake. I did not even mention where I received my piercing yet and the piercer already knew you did it. I have had around 20+ piercings in my life. All healed and taken care of properly yet yours was the only one I had any problem with. So do not try to blame me for your incompetence. My friends who have been pierced by you have had their piercings become infected and yet they also have multiple piercings done by other piercers that healed with no problem.

Went here to get my first tattoo with Jake Barney. He was extremely nice and made sure the design was what I wanted as well as made sure the size and placement of it was exactly where I wanted it. The tattoo came out amazing and I couldnt be more happy. Also all the staff were super friendly and seemed like a real family culture. 10/10 place and would 100% recommend going here.

Got my naval piercing yesterday morning and I was nervous for nothing. So quick and easy/comfortable. You could tell Pat knew what he was doing !!

We just got my six year old daughters ears pierced by Pat and all I have to say is WOW! 😍 He was gentle, helpful, and so very kind. This was my first time getting a “professional” piercing done (my mom did my 1st & 2nd holes herself when I was a kid) so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Pat was great. I got the helix done & felt super comfortable with him, he had a calm/chill vibe. He was very clean & gentle. Would definitely go back to him in the future.

From the minute he brought us back, he said he had all the time in the world and we were in no rush, and she would dictate how things were going. He was so patient and made the process so easy. I had such an amazing experience here! This was my first time coming here and immediately I felt comfortable, as all of the staff were very friendly and greeted me. Very quickly after filling out paper work I was taken to the room for the piercing and it was a very fast process! Pat is amazing and he addressed any concerns I had. Today, we visited Pat the Piercer for an ear piercing. Our 14 year old has been wanting to get them done for some time and Pat came highly recommended.Pat was gentle, explained each step of the process, and was very professional. The whole process between check-in, education, and ear piercing was about 20 minutes.One last thing to mention, the place was very clean, he wore gloves, and continued to provide education so that this was a positive experience.Our daughter is happy and we are too. I got my tragus pierced by Pat yesterday! I love this shop, super cool inside and staff is always friendly!! Pat is amazing! Very easy to get along with, calmed me down right before the piercing and was so fast I didn’t even feel it! He was very nice and clear about care instructions. I will always come back here!

This business does not care about your time or your money!!! My daughter had an 11am appt to have her ears pierced before school starts next week. We made the appt last week, yet after we drove 20 mins one way for her appt, they TEXTED HER CANCELLED APPT AS WE PULLED UP!?! The place was dark and locked. When I called and a person FINALLY answered, she non-apologetically told me Pat doesn’t work there anymore and that’s who my daughter had the appt with. I asked did he just quit this morning?? Because there is NO EXCUSE for not rescheduling or canceling in a respectful timeframe. They expect that from their clients, am I wrong?? **just to clarify** this review is directed at Magnum Opus Tattoo Collective as a BUSINESS… I’m not speaking ill-willed of the artist (Pat) as I learned he left this shop and didn’t have the numbers for his clients… MORE REASON THE OWNER SHOULD HAVE TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY AND CANCELLED SAID ARTIST’s CLIENTS

I got a nostril piercing done with Pat. This place is amazing! The vibes are great and it is kept so well in there. Pat was very kind and thorough. This was my first piercing so I was nervous but he was absolutely incredible. I can’t say enough good things about this place and piercer. I would recommend to anyone that asked!

I got my ears pierced when I was 6 months old and havent done anything since, until now! I am so pleased that I chose this shop to get my second lobe piercing!! Pat was wonderful, kind, and very professional.There was a backorder on the smallest silver stud, and there was only gold available, and I never wear gold, so I was a bit disappointed. But Pat helped me out and got me a slightly larger size in silver and I am IN LOVE!!The piercing was only a little pinch and it was super fast! Pat was extremely thorough with the cleaning process. Two days later and there is no redness or soreness! I am so happy with my experience! I highly recommend this shop and if I ever want to get pierced again I definitely am coming back!

Pat Furey Jr. is the best!! Would give him 10 stars if I could. Very professional, and such a calm and kind demeanor. You can tell he really loves his job AND he is good at it!!I had been wanting an ear curation for the longest time. I came in, and Pat made the process simple - he mapped something out for me and explained how each piercing would complement that specific location (especially bc I have a lot of unique curves/bumps on my ears).I really liked what he mapped out so we went ahead and did 5 piercings. I was so nervous the whole time, but he made me feel very comfortable and the actual piercings were done quickly and expertly.He made sure to carefully review all the home care instructions, and gave me his contact information in case I had any other questions. While vacationing in OCNJ, the bead from my Daith piercing fell out on Wednesday evening. Thankfully I caught the bead.. I went online and made an appointment with Pat for the following day. He was able to quickly tighten the hoop and reinstall the bead. Pat was super friendly and the salon was very clean and upbeat. They also had alot of jewelry on display in the piercing room. I am so relieved that I found a great place to go to in NJ should I have any problems with my piercings in the future when on vacation. I also grabbed a magnet should any of our renters need piercing or tattoo services when they are on vacation. Thank you Pat!!

Out of all of the people I’ve been too, yes including other tattoo places, Pat was the one who has been most gentle but quick and efficient when getting piercings done! I was visiting family in the area and needed to replace some body jewelry mid-trip. These guys were super quick, friendly, and clean! Also, I overheard some of the tattoo artists talking together about how important it is to make clients feel comfortable, safe, and non-sexualized, which is a huge green flag. If I ever happen to be back in the area, I’d come here again in a heartbeat.

I bought a black industrial bar that I was told can be refunded, however when I got to the shop the piercer said no. The number that called me was the owner Justin who stated he can refund me. So instead of driving back out there (30min) he told me to send him a photo of my receipt and he venmo’d me the whole refund even the $1.40 charge for paying with a card. He was so pleasant and I greatly appreciated that he was able to refund me.

Pat was amazing when he pierced my 10 yo daughters ears in July. It was her second time- first time was at a kiosk in the mall and it didnt end well. She got an infection. With Pats piercing, we used the single use gun so we didnt have to worry about bacteria and the like. Pat was quick and experienced. I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Drew B. Not only did he knock it out of the park, but he remained calm and maintained professionalism as an employee was losing their temper. He let me know that it was not commonplace at the establishment and proceeded to continue with my tattoo. Both Drew, and all involved in the event, other than the employee being removed, showed extreme respect and professionalism. In regards to the tattoo itself, Drew was able to take what I had in mind and use his creative eye to make a masterpiece. He showed the artistic endurance, and was able to finish a whole half sleeve in a matter of hours. All of the apprentices showed great care and concern for the better of the clients and the business, and I could only say nice things about the staff overall. I’ll be coming back to get more from Drew and the team for sure. I would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

I went to Magnum Opus about two weeks ago to get a fairly large upper bicep tattoo done with Cali. The scheduling process was great, as they do everything digitally by having you fill out a Google form with information regarding what you want done, placement, reference images etc. Then you are directed to an online scheduling portal to pick your timeslot and pay your deposit, which automatically generates a Google calendar event for you. Definitely the most organized process Ive seen from a shop.As for the shop itself, it is very clean and organized with each artist having their own station that they work out of. Keep in mind this is an open air shop, meaning that you will be getting tattooed/pierced in full view of other staff and clients (they do have blinders they put up if you are getting more intimate work done). I wasnt sure how I would fare with this as Ive only had ink done in private rooms, but it was great! All members of the staff were very friendly and professional which made it a very welcoming environment. All proper procedures for cleaning, protective gear, and sterile equipment were rigidly followed as well.The quality of work from Cali was excellent, and I couldnt be more happy with how my tattoo turned out with the stellar linework and vivid coloring. She really went the extra mile in making sure that I got exactly what I wanted while designing it as well. They even took studio quality photos of the piece when it was finished and shared them with me. I did spend a bit more than I was expecting to, but the caliber of work and amount of care put into the process was worth every penny. I will most definitely be returning.

Piercer will take your money knowing they don’t have the right piece of jewelry, I entrusted he knew what was best. A double sided eyebrow ring was used for my Ashley instead of a flat back labret because he didn’t invest in a longer flat back labret bar. 2 days later my tooth was chipped! I reached out the piercer Pat to let him know how unhappy I was and at this point I wanted to switch out the bar to prevent further damage. He told me he was going to check what he has and let me know. It’s been 4 days since I was left on read. I came to this shop looking for a professional piercer who takes pride in what they do and fixes what can be fixed! If you’re looking for a professional with integrity this isn’t the place!

I only came here because I heard so many good reviews about the people who work there and the environment of the studio. I will never be returning. The only good modern artists left and created their own studio. Thank god they did. Magnum opus is now full of a bunch of men and one woman. I’ve noticed that the woman (barely 20 years old) and one of the men (almost 40 with three kids) are together. It’s so unprofessional. Why would I want a man who likes barely legal girls to tattoo me? I’m kinda uncomfortable with that idea. No wonder the best artists left.

This was the first piercing that I got that I remember and the whole experience was really nice. The piercer doesn’t count you into the piercing and tries to distract you so it doesn’t hurt as bad and i really liked that about him. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Got my nose pierced here and the piercer cut the end of the stud too short and didn’t leave enough room for swelling. So when it started swelling, the stud sunk into the hole and started growing into my nose. I had to end up going to another piercer for them to remove it and change the jewelry.He also recommended me to use antibacterial soap, which come to find out is too harsh to use on nose piercings. The cleaning spray he gave me is working great for the healing though.The piercer was a nice guy though, but not sure if I will get another piercing here again because this is the only piercing I’ve gotten that’s been giving me some trouble.

DONT recommend this place to anyone!!! Came in to get my tragus pierced only to find out I was pierced with the wrong jewelry I messaged the piercer about it and never got a response. Piercers like this lie to you and say if they can pinch it they can pierce it which is not the case. Go to an actual professional who is worth your money this one definitely isn’t.

Went to this shop for a tattoo. Followed all instructions for aftercare. Developed allergic reaction to the tattoo ink, and the skin was heavily overworked. Ended up going to the emergency room to be placed on antibiotics. Artists did not want to take accountability for their actions and stated that it was my own fault for such things happening. I referred a friend to this shop for a piercing, and they stated as such when they went in. The piercer and the tattoo artists then openly talked badly about myself and my inability to listen when it was their fault to begin with. Will not ever return.
