The Edge Tattoo

This was my first tattoo experience and word of mouth brought me to the right place. It is obvious why Angelo does what he does because his attention to detail is impeccable. On top of his amazing work I also appreciated the vibe of the shop. For the approximate 6 hours I was there, I thought the other artists were very friendly/welcoming from the time someone walked in the door, it was definitely very clean, and even the playlist throughout the day was on point. Easy 5 stars!

I just had a tattoo coverup with Dennis.He is very talented and exceeded my expectations! He created exactly what I wanted. I am very happy I went to Edge Tattoo , all the artists are very professional and they make you feel welcome. Thank you Dennis.

First I start out by saying I did not have an appointment. Mistake yes but I was still hopeful. So I called the shop and asked if they accepted walk ins. To which the young woman on the phone answered yes. It’s a first come first serve and there could be a wait. Which was completely fine. So I arrived at the shop (which was busy) and waited for what seemed like forever for someone to acknowledge that a customer had arrived. So when the woman finally came from the back she asked if I had an appt. I replied no and said I called and spoke to her I believe and you said to come and there would be a wait. Ok cool. But then she asked what and where I wanted the tattoo. I was explaining my vision and she cut me off to tell me they don’t guarantee the ink would hold up well over time where I wanted it. To which I replied that’s fine. I understand. I get the business is busy. I get I didnt have an appt. I get that the artists are busy. I get it. Entire time her attitude and demeanor was condescending. I WALKED OUT. I’m not new to getting work done. I know how it works. I felt as though my business wasn’t wanted and the way that particular employee carried herself and represented the shop was insolent. Super disappointed.

Was seeking help on a tattoo that no longer brought me joy, Angelo was friendly and professional when going through the booking process. Flash forward a couple of months to today and I love my cover up. The experience with Angelo was truly great and I enjoyed our conversations. He’s very personable, professional and talented. I’ll definitely be returning.

I cannot stress enough how good of an experience I had here! Josh was an amazing artist and showed very high integrity. He took the time to ensure the tattoo was right, and didn’t cut corners at all. Josh was upfront about everything, and the whole shop itself was extremely clean. All the other artists in the shop were super friendly as well, it was a great atmosphere! The tattoo came out beautifully and I will definitely be getting my tattoos done here in the future.

Took my 19-yr old daughter here to get her first tattoo. The place was super clean, well-lit and spacious. There were two artists working at the time of our visit. Josh was one of the artists and was super professional. He made us feel comfortable right away and patiently answered all of her questions. Would highly recommend this place.

Her art speaks for itself, but Ill add a few things: she attends to every detail, makes sure that her client leaves with the tattoo they wanted, and does the utmost to make sure that they are comfortable at every step of the process. She is patient, kind, and talented.As for the shop, its just COOL - such a professional and fun place.

So I was referred to this spot and informed that one of the tattoo artists Megan was cool she had done some work on someone I know and it came out nice.. The issue I had with her and the place of business was the communication, I called and asked if I could schedule a consultation the owner stated to hit Megan directly up on IG which I did, I informed her of what I was looking for, she acted like before she could schedule a consult that she needed to know if the tattoos I was requesting were something that she could do, Tell me why I told her what I was looking to get and she read the message but up to now still hasn’t responded, if you didn’t want to do it just say that, I have no issues with taking my business elsewhere.

I had the most incredible experience with tattoo artist Edison! His fine line abilities and attention to detail are truly unparalleled. The intricate design he created for me was executed with such precision and skill, its like a work of art on my skin. Not only is Edison incredibly talented, but his friendly and warm personality made the entire process a delight. He took the time to listen to my ideas and turned them into something even more amazing than I could have imagined. If youre looking for a tattoo artist who combines exceptional fine line work with a genuinely friendly demeanor, Edison is the one to go to! Very clean place too! Could not be happier!

I got my tattoo here over Christmas break by Angelo. He was very careful to get it straight, which was extremely important to me, and was very friendly and quick to contact me! The prices impressed me, as did their customer service.

Im from NC and was working in the area, and was looking for some ink work. Well the Edge popped up and had great reviews. So I went and checked them out as just a walk in. Talked with Bryant and before I knew it ink was being applied.I told Bryant what I wanted and he even added in his own little touch, and FIN nailed it. He did such an awesome job I came back and got it all finished up.The staff was absolutely awesome and so damn friendly too, I felt like I was at home in the south.I will be back again guys.BRYANT NAILED IT!!!!!!!!

The Edge Tattoo is a very clean & professional place to get a tattoo at! I am lucky to have found Kayla (Instagram: @KayJocelin), she does incredible traditional work!! She’s very artistic & does an amazing job with color and B&G tattoos. She has a strong passion for tattooing and you can see that in her work. She’s very creative & always makes sure you’re happy with the design. She’s the best!

I worked with Angelo for my first tattoo, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Designing, scheduling, communication, all was very professional. The day of appointment and touch up session were both great. The quality of the finished product exceeded what I thought was possible. I could not recommend this place enough.

I have a Stafforshire terrier named Gemma and an American Red Nose/Bull Mastiff named Buddie. Ive wanted to get thier paws printed for years and finally ordered the kit and got it done. I wanted to get water color prints with thier names below. This Tattoo means so much to me as these are basically my kids and I love them more than anything. When they go someday, now they will forever be with Daddy until I see them again in the next life. Dennis did an AMAZING JOB! He did exactly what I wanted and more. For my first tattoo, my friend suggested I go to the Edge Tattoo, and I’m very happy I did. On my appointment day, Angelo was immediately ready with some options. He customized my tattoo to suit my needs, and was able to come up with new designs very quickly based on what I said I wanted. Within an hour, my friend and I were ready to get tattooed, and it was very quick and friendly service. Angelo was super nice and informative, and gave me an incredible work of art. It was even better than I expected, and they made it very easy for me since this was my first tattoo.

I had a tattoo session with Megan, and I am in love with the tattoo. We spent an hour placing the outline - she never got impatient with me wanting to move it or make it smaller/a different shape. Anything I wanted to change she was more than willing to do - all she cared about was that I came away happy with the result. I had the tattoo done in an area that needed me to basically go topless, but Megan made sure I was comfortable, and another artist who was there named Nick even offered me the zip up hoodie in his car to cover up more (but I felt comfortable enough to say no, which was amazing - their vibe was just professional and sweet). Megan constantly checked in with me during the tattoo, making sure I was comfortable. She let me have a break and applied some spray that helped numb the area before she went in and touched up some of the lines. The shop was very clean and Megan was timely and organized. She played some music (which was awesome - I’ve never been in a studio that gives you music to distract you). My experience was above and beyond expectations. This tattoo studio really felt like a home - and I will absolutely be back! Price was SO reasonable (to the people saying this shop is too expensive: tattoos of quality are expensive at ANY shop. If you want a good tattoo and a good experience, it will be a bit of an investment. Expect any reputable tattoo shop to be expensive). Overall, I can’t express enough how much I love this shop. 10/10 recommend it!

They are very professional and their work is amazing. I got two small tattoos done (fine line) and Angelo did an incredible job. I am very pleased and love my new tattoos! Also, they are taking COVID-19 seriously and being safe which is great. I felt comfortable and had a great experience overall.

How fortunate my cousin and I ended up in this shop...me for my very first tattoo and her for her second. What first caught my cousin’s eye (she picked the shop, I live in VA), was Peyton’s friendliness and how clean and bright the shop was. Once we shared our ideas for art, Angelo was assigned as my cousin’s artist and Dennis was mine. The experience was excellent!! I was incredibly nervous. Both of those gentlemen took great care of us, explaining everything, answering questions, etc. Dennis convinced me to trust him with color...my original plan was to simply do a small peacock feather in black, greys, etc. But when I saw his expansive color collection, and understood that aftercare was key to maintaining tattoo color, I was sold. I cannot believe my eyes when I see the colors Dennis achieved on this tattoo. It’s stunning. It’s a whole lot bigger than I planned and the details are gorgeous. My cousin had something very small and dainty....I couldn’t believe the level of detail Angelo achieved.Now I’m not sure how I’ll trust anyone else if I decide to get another one. 😀

Edge Tattoo is great. Ive been tattooed by Bryant, Edison, and Megan; they each do amazing work. Highly recommend this studio and all of the artists there.

I was informed that the bad review I gave The Edge Tattoo was about the previous owner. I was contacted by the new owner as of 2010 that my review had nothing to do with his new artists. He is a stand up guy and offered to fix the mess that was left behind by the previous owner. I will let you know how it goes.Well I will let you know I went and got a coverup with Angelo and I have to say I am VERY impressed! He is a awesome tattoo artist and a very nice guy. He did a gorgeous cover up . I will now recommend this tattoo parlor there were 2 other artists there also and because I was there 5 hours I got to witness their great work also.

I was searching the web last minute for a tattoo artist to do a memorial piece on my mother for her birthday. I am so glad I came across this shop. I instantly loved every artists work. (They all have an Instagram which is so helpful to showcase their work.) The shop was immediately able to accommodate the date and time we needed. My mom was tattooed by Megan who did a great job! She designed my moms tattoo ahead of time so my mom was able to sit down right away to be tattooed. My moms tattoo is the quote with the feather and birds. My tattoo was done by Angelo who also did an outstanding job. My tattoo was much more detailed and complex and Angelo was so knowledgeable and absolutely nailed it! My piece is the one of my grandmothers actual writing and actual fingerprints. I couldn’t be more happier with such a unique and special piece. It is hands down my favorite tattoo I’ve ever gotten. This visit was well worth the hour drive and we will definitely be back. To add, the shop was spotless and they are really good about sanitation and really take their time with every client. So friendly and such good vibes in this shop.

After getting my first tattoo done by Angelo, I can honestly say I couldnt be happier with how it came out. Ive been to a lot of tattoo shops and the Edge is hands down the best, most comfortable around. My wife,son,and I all got work done on the same day. Angelo is the only artist I will ever let Ink my skin again. Its nice to get work done by an artist who truly cares about the art your getting. I felt extremely comfortable in the shop. He was very patient with me as we worked out a few minor tweaks and made getting my first tattoo a wonderful experience. His entire staff at The Edge Tattoo is professional, friendly, and helpful. We walked in as a party of 5 and got matching friendship tattoos. Josh was great and the price was reasonable. We had an awesome time and he worked hard to make sure we each got exactly what we wanted.

My fiancé and I had our first tattoos done by Megan and are so happy with how they came out!! We gave her a mountain that we like skiing at and she drew up this design for us. She is super sweet and made us feel so comfortable through the whole process.

I was looking up tattoo artists in CT with clean, feminine line work and came across Megan’s instagram. I messaged her about multiple ideas. I’m not the best customer because I don’t have the clearest idea about what I want, but Megan took what inspired her from my ramblings and created a beautiful custom piece to honor part of me and my life. She was willing to have continued conversations to nail down aspects and we did disagree once. But her point was better made about color. I felt like I was in safe hands from the beginning. Megan was super concerned about cleanliness, perfection, and my comfort and satisfaction with the piece. I am so happy I found The Edge and so happy with Megan’s professionalism and creativity. As a young tattoo artist, she is someone to watch for in the future.

I came here to start a new full sleeve. Angelo listened to what I was going for, worked up some drafts and presented me with several options to use as a base.He worked with me every step of the way to make sure i got exactly what I wanted.The shop is clean, the artists are extremely talented, friendly and professional. Excellent environment overall.I just finished my third session here and I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to come to this shop. I drive 4 hours round trip to get here, its worth it every time.

Nick was so wonderful, my daughter and I got matching mother and daughter tattoos and it was my first time. He made me feel so comfortable and he was just so personable. Josh who makes the appointments was very informative and helpful. Great experience and would pick Nick again for sure. Very friendly atmosphere.

Super clean and super friendly staff. Angelo the owner was extremely friendly when booking appointments over the phone. I came from out of state and booked 4 tattoos for Memorial Day. Angelo had no issue with the date and gave me a time that was reasonable with travel time. Nick was my artist and I must tell you...I WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK to this location for more work. He could not give me the size tattoo I wanted without losing a mess ton of detail so i opted to give him creative freedom to add some water color to an existing tattoo; as long as a semi colon was incorporated. So happy I made this choice. He also did my daughters first tattoo.If ever in S.Windsor and looking for ink, please visit this location. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY.

Megan was fantastic! I had lettering done in a band around my arm that required multiple stencils to be placed individually. She committed the time and patience to making sure they were evenly spaced to my liking. She was polite, friendly, and caring the entire time, and her attention to cleanliness is great. 10/10!

I have had an amazing experience at The Edge. My artist Dennis was amazing and made a beautiful tattoo to cover up an old piece. Everyone in the shop was friendly and welcoming. I love going to megan for all my tattoos! this is the most recent one she’s done on me:) megan always puts 110% into my anime tattoos and all my other tattoos overall. she’s so kind and polite also! she makes sure to ask if you need a break or anything. she’s such a professional and knowledgeable person also! i cant wait to book my next piece with her :)

Had my tattoo done 20 years ago at this place. Remember the staff being really friendly and patient with me being my first tattoo and all. I designed a specific tat and they drew it to the tee! Amazing work. Not sure if the same artist that did my work is there after that long but great experience nonetheless. Would highly recommend this place!

Angelo is a great artist, I’ve had several tattoos done by him, and keep going back, I’ve recommended him to all my friends and won’t go anywhere else. The edge is very clean and communication/booking is clear and easy.

I primarily get tattooed by Bryant Setzler here and he is extremely professional, incredibly talented, and a cool guy. Bryant is really good at color packing and won’t do anything his heart isn’t behind. He wants to put the best of the best on people and really values the craft of tattooing.

Went and got a half mandala design done. Emailed a blueprint, Angelo responded promptly. I came in and he drew up the design on an iPad which I wasnt used to, (all my tattoos have been previously done by hand. Nothing wrong with it, just different) I wasnt sure what I wanted completely so I kept changing the design and Angelo was very patient with me!!!! There was a minor blip he had deleted a previous design I ended up liking the best, but it wasnt an issue to redo it. The receptionist who is also Angelos apprentice was super friendly. Everybody was professional, efficient and sweet as pie. Yay!! Tattoo was done very professionally. Some of the dotwork is very close together in my tattoo and clumps togethet it isnt my favorite part of the tattoo but im still giving 5 starts because thats a preference and not an workmanship issue i dont think. the whole piece still came out looking great. Will come back to Angelo to finish and add some color!!

Hats off to my tattoo artist Nick and the rest if the crew at Edge Tattoo in South Windsor. I had some work done that needed a high quality artist to fix it. I was referred here by a friend and walked away from this place super satisfied. The consultation, service, and art was impeccable. I will definitely be back.

Ok so i see a few negative reviews and im still trying to figure out why!?!?! If its because of cost u definitely pay for what u get and if it means I pay a little extra for excellent service and an amazing outcome then I will gladly. I was also totally surprised by how fast it was for a cover up the size and detail of my tattoo. Im extremely happy with my tattoo. Nick did a fantastic job and is very clean and professional. I would definitely highly recommend him for a tattoo. I couldnt be happier. Thanks again Nick and the other edge staff for such an awesome experience.

I’ve went to Angelo for all 3 of tattoos and saying he does great work is a under statement. Not only does he take his time for the best detailing, he also takes into consideration to make the tattoo look better for you.

It is extremely clean and well kept. Staff is very friendly. High standards when it comes to tattooing younger adults in respect to locations of tattoo. Cares more about person than money they will make on them. I would recommend them to anyone

Ive gotten two tattoos from Angelo, and it couldnt have been a better experience. Both tattoos exceeded my expectations. All the artists are super friendly and the place is super clean.

I am quite happy I checked this place out, but I do have one small complaint (quickly fixed). I went on a Saturday around 3 pm to get my Navel and my Conch pierced (the piercer was supposed to be there for 3-9 pm). When I arrived with my mother, we were told that the piercer wasnt there yet due to car troubles, and to expect him to be there at 4:30-5 pm. My mother and I said that was understandable, and went to check out a store or two while we waited. When we went back a few minutes after 5, They told us he hadnt arrived yet, and they called to ask how far out he was from the shop. The person on the phone said he was about 15 minutes away. We waited for a bit longer than that, and was just about to leave, right when he walked into the store. They ended up giving us a 10% off discount on the piercings as an apology, and that was much appreciated. I really liked how clean they were with their set up when piercing me. Every time he touched something, (one example being moving an ant outside), he would dispose of his glove and put another one on. He also was quick and thorough with finding the perfect spot to pierce, and asked me if that was where I wanted it multiple times, which some places have been known not to. The piercer also gave very detailed instructions as how to maintain my piercings for the months they had to heal. Also, the waiting area is very nice for those who are waiting for someone to get tattooed or pierced! There were counters to sit and watch out, two large leather couches, a table filled with magazines, music playing giving it a nice atmosphere, and an area with complimentary coffee, etc. I really liked it there, and will deffinetly return for my other body mods.(oh, and one other complaint is that one of the tattoo artists (I dont remember his name), was very short and rude to my mother when she asked a question to him. She was just about to leave since she was fed up, but stopped when she saw the person we were waiting for walk into the store.)Also, I would suggest that they hire another piercer (especially as a backup) for events like these. When I was waiting to get pierced, there were two other people in front of me waiting for him to change their piercing jewelry, and they were there way before me. Just a hint if you want to keep loyal customers!Anyways, I do suggest this tattoo shop to anyone who is thinking of getting a tattoo or piercing! The tattoo artist work I saw being done was amazing!

I came here recently to get my first tattoo. I was a little pensive at first, but Angelo did an awesome job and removed any apprehension and worries I had pre-session. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend Laura enough. Her piercing skill is paramount, and she is nothing but professional and kind. Not to mention she uses the most stunning and highest quality jewellery available in the world! I would give you 10 stars if I could Laura, youre great!

My favorite piercer. She makes the experience comfortable and is an awesome person to talk to even when she kicks you out after getting a piercing to talk to the tattoo artist you need to talk to about an apprenticeship. She always has your best interest in mind

I came here to get some new jewelry switched out in my helix piercings, industrial, tragus, and navel. Laura is amazing and defiantly knows what she is talking about, the jewelry is high quality and helps my piercings heal better than they would have with the jewelry I had in then. I will be going back to get new piercings.

The tattoo is fine but I got way overcharged. My tat is something incredibly basic and sat for about 7 minutes, when I called prior to coming in I was told bottom price is $50 but the guy that did mine charged me $85.

Dennis was excellent. His design of my cover up tattoo was awesome! I love my tattoo. He is brilliant!

Got a tattoo done by Dennis and he did an amazing job. It costed less than what was estimated for me. I’m already thinking of my next tattoo. Can’t wait to visit again!

I went here to get my nose pierced and was extremely happy with the cleanliness, friendliness, and professionalism that the shop displayed. I will be returning in a few days to get my first tattoo done here.

Very nice place,the lady who did my piercing was super dope and very professional although I bled my piercing is healing better than ever before , I’ve had a nose piercing twice and each time I had a hard time but the advice she gave me really made this piercing a breeze, a little pricey but good place, I’d go again 🤷🏾‍♀️😊

The place itself is very clean, and the staff seems nice, but they are way overpriced. I got an extremely simple tattoo and was charged 3x what I was quoted on the phone by them.

Very clean & professional. I went in for a piercing & was impressed by how precise and thorough they were. Everyone was very friendly & helpful.

The chick was really weird and had a mullet so I was uncomfortable but she gave me my favorite piercing experience ever and now I can only date people with mullets because she was that good.

Almost all of my tattoos were done by Angelo and I would recommend him to anyone.

Angelo is one off the best artist ever he did both my legs and I have never been so happy about the outcome.

If I could give it a zero I would. The owner was very rude and the artist wouldnt even respond to messages. Terrible customer service. After a discussion of my upset I was told that they would not be offering any services to me. Beware.

My sister webt and got her belly button peirced there, they did it way to shallow and she had to remove it.
