I understand that many people with tattoos and artists themselves have a f society mentality, but it doesn’t hurt to be nice. As soon as I entered, I knew I should have turned around– no greeting, just a demand that I take my drink outside. I had no quarrel or fuss; this is their shop, I’ll respect the rules. Surely, a Hi, hello, good afternoon is in order, but nothing of the sort occurred. The whole time, I just felt ill-treated and that I shouldnt be there.Starting out, when I showed the front desk girl what I wanted, she took a picture of my phone. I imagined she did that to show the artist for an estimate, but that picture taken is what they used for my template....I returned with an alteration, and she did the same thing—this should have been my second indicator to leave. I’m used to sending tattoo shops an email or airdropping my design, but not here. How can you capture the full, accurate detail of my design when you’re taking a picture at whatever angle you choose?She came back with a price of $250, which should have been my third indicator. For a name tattoo the size of my middle finger, it should NOT be over $200, especially after the fact, seeing reviews of fine detaling flower tattoos priced at 100-150.I simply and kindly asked for the reasoning behind the price. They replied, Because of the placement; had it been your arm, it would be cheaper. I accepted that, but I wanted more clarification, so I asked, Is it because the placement is high-risk, or because of the size (which they didnt know or asked)? They snarkily responded, That’s the artists price... That should have been my fourth indicator.I believe there are many reasons I felt taken advantage of, but I’m trying my best not to play victim cards. Still, reality is what it is. My advice for other particular* people is to look elsewhere for a tattoo. Remember, this is Mississippi... Ill leave it at that.

I came in with only an idea of adding my mommas birth flower as well as my own to my already existing mother/daughter infinity tattoo. James was AMAZING from start to finish. He drew up way better than what I had planned in my head. This tattoo was for my Chapter 39 birthday gift and it was perfect! Mom’s flower is a daffodil and mine is a water lily!

Ive been going to Illusion since my first tattoo back on October, and Ive known my tattoo artist, James, for years! Hes always been so kind and genuine, and really made me feel comfortable and safe. For a first-timer, that kinda thing is a big deal!! Highly recommend him 🫶🏽✨️✨️

Got my first tattoo at illusion from james. i didn’t have a set design and he created a perfect one. he is so nice and made my anxiety ease! didn’t hurt at all and he wanted to be certain that i liked it before it started. 10000/10 recommend him to anyone looking to get really good work done!

The guy who pierced my daith did an amazing job. I have anxiety and he handled it very well. But I definitely recommend going there to get piercings.

I originally had an appointment somewhere else but that guy had an emergency and had to cancel fast forward the reviews looked good so I went to illusion. Wait time wasnt bad it was a simple tattoo environment was alright long story short the artist misspelled the wording on my arm. Figured maybe it was the swelling the next morning still messed up so I went back up there no empathy from the artist or the girls at the deskBasically they asked what do you want us to do because there are no refundsAsked to speak to a manager was advised he wasnt there then they began apologizing and made an appointment for a touch up. I showed up and the touch up is worse than the original work and the lettering is messed up now I have to go somewhere else and get a completely different design just to cover this mess up. No follow up from the artist Dave or the shop after knowing the work was messed up. Mistakes happen ok but mis-spelling is not a crooked piercing or a design someone just didnt care for I would not recommend this shop just based on sloppy work, lack of empathy and failing to take responsibility...they checked the paperwork and the pictures several times in front of me like i gave them the wrong wording. In short a wedding tattoo gone wrong with any business be careful and head to illusion ink for basic tattoos you can cover up because no telling what you may get out of here. Dave apologized and Im sure it was heartfelt when he was fixing it however still wouldnt recommend this shop based on overall experience

James did a most excellent job on my phoenix and lotus. He was so kind and helped me relax. He knew how much this tattoo meant to me. I highly recommend.

I’m from NJ and was visiting my fiancé down here and he paid for my piercing 😌Carl did an amazing job doing my Angel fangs(vertical upper paired labrets). It was his first time doing that specific piercing but I trusted him since my friend highly recommended him!! It’s even and perfect and is still healing amazingly!!

I urge people to not come here at all for a piercing if you want a pleasant experience. I went here twice first for my belly ring and then to get my smiley pierced. When I got my belly pierced the piercer didn’t speak to me at all was very rude and I was so nervous because it was my first piercing, I can say he pierced it correctly but I had a lot of questions about it like when should I change it or when it would heal and I was told nothing and had to figure it out on my own. I didn’t want to ask these questions because he kept looking at me weird and just seemed like he didn’t want to pierce me at all and I don’t know if it has any thing to do with me being black but that experience just sucked. Came back this year which is a year later from getting my belly ring and I decided to get my smiley hoping I would have a better piercer, but I was very wrong. I got my smiley with a closed ball ring that I didn’t want because I wanted the horseshoe ring like most people have. The piercer didn’t tell me they were going to use a closed ball ring before piercing me and I couldn’t tell he did that until after because I had to lay down to get the piercing done. Not to mention the price was high and you didn’t even tell me the type of ring or show me the jewelry before you put it in and I have been trying to remove the ball myself because the wrong jewelry makes me not want the piercing anymore. It is so difficult to remove this jewelry piece from my mouth. I have been trying for hours now and not to mention the piercing is brand new so it hurts. I will probably just have to go to a different place and have them remove the ball from my jewelry. I’m not even sure if I was pierced correctly.

Keri wanted a septum piercing and knew Cory @ this Illusion, so Illusion it was. The price comparable to the competition and feeling comfortable with the person about to stick a hole in you is choice. I did not need to be stuck or tattooed, so I was not allowed in. I only waited 10 min and Keri was happy, so all is well and know I know where to go.

Tyler is the man! book him in advance .. well worth it! going to get another sleeve soon. Mad respect

I’ve had the pleasure of working with James on my sleeve. The whole process has been extremely easy and communication has been spot on. All the staff members I’ve interacted with have all been very kind and have unique personalities. The overall upkeep of the shop is impressive, they always have the shop clean and neat. I feel it’s a safe and fun place to get tattoo or piercing work done. 10/10 recommended

Tyler did a great job on my tattoo, it looks perfect, and he talked me through it the entire time. He gave me great aftercare tips and answered all of my questions great and thoroughly. Will come back, definitely recommend him.

Carl is the best! He’s done multiple piercings for me, and I will never go to anyone else. He answers every question, is CLEAN, and I can tell he truly cares about his work. The shop is clean, and the workers are super friendly and helpful. Each time I’ve been, I was in and out within 15 minutes. 10/10!!!!!

THEY ARE SO. FAST. I was only there for maybe 10 minutes total, including waiting and getting pierced. I got pierced by Carl and he was really nice and talked to me when I was getting pierced. I got my septum done today and it was a great experience. Ive had my nostril done already a few years ago, but that was at Trilogy and they require vaccinations now 🙄. Everything was clean and I felt very comfortable with how my piercing was done. Highly reccomend and will be back for sure!

James was absolutely the best experience I’ve had getting a tattoo. I told him what I wanted, wrote down the lyrics on paper and he came back with a beautiful font, and I was 100% pleased with the outcome and the overall experience! I was there in Southhaven for a concert, and had wanted to get some work done. They hooked me up! Honestly, I’d consider making that drive again to sit in his chair!

I went there for their Friday the 13th flash tattoos. I picked a colored one. There were no colors in the design. I was disappointed I couldnt choose the colors. The colors the artist used, I dont think they compliment each other. Its still healing but finding missed spots in the tattoo. I hope they do free touch ups when its healed. A little disappointed in how it looks right now. I didnt receive any care instructions but I have other tattoos so I knew what to do. The shop itself was very clean. The tattoo stations were too. Everyone was very nice. Everything was very hygienic. Id go back for another tattoo.

The young lady who help me as well as did my nose piercing was great. She has the best disposition. Sorry I forgot her name but thank you so much.

James M, is a amazing tattoo artist in Southaven MS and did exactly what I wanted to my arm. We started on a half sleeve and it healed so beautifully. Our touch up was impeccable. Really brought out the abstract and realism to the design. Also it was a very relaxing to have someone work so well with my ideas. Thank you illusion ink for providing me with a great experience. I look forward to many more sessions with James M. Also I intended to get my naval and septum pierced the owner is super kind and very accommodating.

We walked in and were Not greated very nicely, they are RUDE and Change theyre prices daily even when they quoted me a price the day before knowing we were coming back the next day to get the tattoo they did not tell us that the price would change and they expect payment Before the work is even done.I have Several tattoos and I have Never paid up front.As a matter of fact, I took my money back, drove to Electric Circus tattoo and had an AMAZING experience and Paid After the work was completed!If I could give Illusion tattoo a Negative star I would.They are Terrible and Extremely sketchy.

Very good experience both times I have had things done. I had my nostril and belly button pierced at one visit and they were exactly what I wanted. The staff was very nice and informative. I also got my septum pierced here recently and they did an amazing job. Both visits were super fast and took no more than 10 minutes. All of the piercings I’ve gotten from them are healing well and are placed correctly. I would highly recommend going here!

The lady at desk was very rude she wouldnt even help me with the jewelry at all and when I ask her about them she made me feel like I couldnt afford them are something because when I ask her about it she just throws a price and walks off and I drove almost 2 hours for my piercing would I go back no

Walked in and showed a picture of what I wanted. James and the girls at the desk were very friendly as tears poured. This was something I have wanted for a few years, and on a whim decided to go for it. Definitely recommend this shop! Also, he was not heavy-handed and made sure sizing and placement were perfect for me before starting!

I went to the shop with a friend yesterday only to be met with disengagement and unhappy workers. They seemed as if they were burdened to help my friend and I. Whenever we would ask a question they would snap at us or look at us as if we were stupid. Then i could feel them staring at us and whispering to each other as if they were talking about us. It wasn’t a positive environment that i have felt in the past at other shops. As a business that works with customer service i feel as if it was lacking in that area.

People let me tell ya bout the best experience Ive had getting work done!I was lucky to get work done by Tyler. He was incredibly communicative, gave expert advice and worked with me to finish out part of my half-sleeve. He was kind and friendly. Honestly, for this session, I was the most calm I have ever been with any of my pieces. Pain was minimal, results are BEAUTIFUL.The space was clean, warm and comforting. there is clearly a home feel.The entire experience was wonderful. The check in was quick and efficient, all COVID-19 guidelines were followed.Tyler and other staff had great conversations with me, which has not been my experience with other artists/shops.Seriously, if you are in the mid-south area and looking for beautiful work, a great atmosphere and wonderful people, come to Illusion Ink!

Long story short.. the guy that did my tattoo was wonderful and friendly, but the two girls that ran the register were really rude and prejudice..they made me feel uncomfortable and out of place. They had an attitude and were very rude to me. If it wasnt for the nice man that did my tattoo, I would have left.

This is the best tattoo shop to go to in the Mid South hands down. Had some work done by Bobby and he did and amazing job. Most recently got some tattoos by James, another incredibly talented artist and very down to earth cool dude whos willing to work with you on designs. The shop is super clean and all the staff I met were completely professional, friendly and make you feel welcome.

I had an appointment at noon today with Bobby! When I scheduled the appointment, they told me to be on time and if I ceased going to run late to call. Well, I got there 7 minutes before my appointment. I was told to wait in my car because Bobby wasn’t there yet. Fast forward to 35 minutes later and still no Bobby! I got my deposit back but I’ll never do business with this place again! I have been getting tattoos for almost 20 years and I have NEVER had this happen! I’m thankful they gave me my deposit back and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and kept apologizing so this isn’t on them!REPLYING TO YOUR COMMENT~ Clearly you have a hard time reading too- I literally said that girls working the front desk were nice and kept apologizing and it wasnt their fault! I also stated that you gave me my deposit back. If you think that its ok that an artist had an appointment- DIDNT CALL to say they were going to be late. (I know he didnt because the ladies at the front desk said they couldnt get a hold of Bobby or have heard from him!) PLUS when he finally did show up he didnt even acknowledge me or apologize. I have never been to a tattoo shop that showed such disregard for others. If you think thats how you run a business then you are wrong! Your artist that work for you can make or break your business so that makes you responsible! Bless your heart!

My tattoo artist I had was Billy. The service exceeded my expectations! I was in the chair and out within less than 30 minutes. He high-fived me at the end for not crying or being too soft lol. I’ve gotten two tattoos here. The first with Mic was great. He was supper friendly, it was my moms first tattoo and he made her super comfortable. My name tattoo he did on my neck, Loved it. The second time wasn’t that great at all. I don’t even know the artist name that did my hand tattoo that’s how non-personal this person was. The tattoo was not done exactly how I wanted because he didn’t think it would look right the size I wanted it. When he was done, he didn’t wrap it, didn’t say anything to me, he was like ok, and sent me on my way. No thanks come again. Do you like it……..Nothing. This shop is not personable at all. Mic yes, the overall shop is not a great experience. Needless to say, I won’t be returning again.

You should really work on hiring piercers who CARE about what they do and their clients. They’re too rushed and it shows. 3 people including me have gotten crooked piercings from here. Piercers, TAKE YOUR TIME and take into consideration the opinion of your client on their piercing.

Everyone was nice in there and I didn’t have to wait more then 5 or 10 minutes to be helped. Carl did my piercing, very nice man. I was in and out with no problems. I will definitely come back again.

I think my piercer was Carl? He is a MAGICIAN. I have had my nose unsuccessfully pierced twice and it HURT. Carl did it in no time at all, it barely hurt. Im hopeful this one will be the piercing I can change out regularly after it heals. Ive also had a tattoo done by James, years ago, and it was very clean and professional. Would definitely go back.

Most authentic tattoo place Ive been. Tyler was my tattooist. Great work very professional and a lot of fun to have him do your tattoo. Ive had 4 tattoo artist. Tyler was the best. I will go back to him. Even from RI.

I got a my bellybutton pierced and it was absolutely horrible. I was so crooked. When he got finished doing it I asked hey isn’t this crooked he said no it looks straight. As soon as my sister saw it she laughed and said thats so crooked. Called up there and then had to drive back just to be told by him that yeah it is a little bit. I laughed cause it was more then a little bit. Worst $45 I have ever spent.

FRONT STAFF WAS SUPER FRIENDLY. But my piercer Chris was not. CUSTOMER SERVICE is everything. My piercer was not friendly, he didn’t greet me or even ask how i was doing , all he said was “lay on the table” then “get up slowly” . For one i was so nervous to get a belly ring , he did nothing but say “slow your breathing down so the piercing won’t mess up” then he was moving super fast… I believe that if a customer is nervous about whatever it should be your job to try to smooth them and put their mind at ease as much as you can. I do like my belly ring BUT i wish i saw the other reviews beforehand and my boyfriend said he wish i told him because he would NOT have recommend this place . I drove 28mins for poor service from the piercer . Maybe it’s because the color of my skin. But you have to know in a place of business you will encounter all race and backgrounds and if you only want specific people ,let it be known but don’t give a paying customer shitty service. I normally don’t even leave reviews weather they are good or bad, but this was a must especially because i saw reviews AFTER the fact of bad experience with the same piercer.

Never Got to see the inside because all of the artists were standing outside and thats where I did my consultation. I wanted 2 words in cursive with a red Apple. (less than 2 by 2 for the apple) and they told me they would not be able to get do get it together or draft an image within 1 or 2 days . Im from Chicago and was down there on a trip and they basically said they would need a long time to come up with the Design. Maybe Im just spoiled because Im from Chicago and there are so many good artists here, but that tattoo is not very intricate and and I would expect that I would be able to get it as I walk in in most shops (especially for the $350 price they quoted me). Its also possible that they just didnt want to do it. I dont know, but it didnt leave me with a good impression.

Had 5 piercing with no issues. Always professional and friendly. The entire staff is amazing, service is fast and any questions I ever ask they answer honestly. I plan on making this my spot for all my art work I want done.

Memphis, a tattoo artist, did an amazing job on my tattoos. He reassured me about my tattoo experience and details on how to care for my tattoos thoroughly. He answered all questions, and if I get another tattoo, I’m going to him! I got piercings here as well, by two other artists, and they did a great job as well!

My piercings were the absolute best. I went in super nervous but he simply explained its not as bad as I thought it was. After a few jokes and a fake count to three I was done. I recommend them to anyone!

Professional, friendly, super informative, worth the price point (which are totally reasonable)! I got a double lope and helix piercing done tonight! The front counter staff were SUPER informative on the piercings I were getting and tattoos I were interested in. They explained the cons to the guns stores use when doing piercings and were glad to answer any questions my friends and I had on tattoos.Mic did my piercings, he was also friendly and smooth with the finesse of a needle. Definitely going back for my industrial piercing and my collarbone tattoo with them. For sure going to try and book Mic again.*The other parlor in Southhaven wasnt nearly this friendly or informative.

Just got my hand tattoo at Illusion Ink! Great experience, they explained the process and even let me know that the placement I originally wanted on my hand was not good because it could fade away. Chester did my tattoo and he was very knowledgeable and answered my questions. Fastest tattoo I ever got! I will be back.

Me & my boyfriend went and got quotes, outside they quoted us 60-80$ for my tattoo, when my boyfriend went to pay for our tattoo they charged him 125$ for my tattoo. My mom just looked at it and they used the wrong needle and it’s going to blob together. The guy was in a rush, and finished mine AND my boyfriends tattoo in less then 20 minutes! I didn’t even get want I wanted! He said that it would “fade to fast.” But all my tattoos are colored and GOOD! I have to pay my regular tattoo artist to make it what I want.They were so heavy handed that when we got to the house there was blood everywhere. I’ve messaged them 3 times to ask about the money situation, and they are ignoring me!Definitely won’t be back. Way to heavy handed and in such a rush, over charged!

Incredible studio and staff!If you’re considering getting work done here, I definitely recommend Tyler! My fiancé and I decided to get our first tattoos while down in Memphis. After researching the top places, Illusion Ink blew all of them out of the water with their reviews and pictures. And since we were so close to Mississippi, we decided to make the drive. I saw all of the artists work online and loved Tyler’s work. Not really being picky on who we would have do them when we got there, what would you know, Tyler was the one who greeted us and did our tattoos. Extremely professional, laid back, funny, great to have a conversation with, and does incredible work! Everything was perfect and our tattoos turned out even better than we could’ve expected! Both of us got very different things and both of us were thrilled with the outcome! Awesome artist and awesome person!I loved the fact that everything was communicated! When drawing up our designs Tyler checked with each of us on size and style more than once to make sure we both loved and got exactly what we wanted!The entire studio was immaculate. Everything was well organized and extremely clean. Everything was sanitized in front of us before doing my tattoo and again before doing my fiancé’s. Everything used was brand new and opened in front of us. Cannot express how clean and organized the studio and their staff is. Definitely made me more comfortable!Was absolutely blown away by the staff. Everyone was so down to earth and welcoming as soon as you walked through the front door. Everyone in the shop treated and talked to us like family. Love that! After getting our tattoos we even received an illusion ink sticker, business card, and a card on how to care for our tattoos - super awesome especially since these were our first tattoos!Their pricing is the best pricing you can find in a tattoo studio, especially for the area! Ridiculously disappointing visit. Every competent tattoo shop I have ever been in has wanted to thoroughly discuss and set up an appointment for body art (tattoos, body piercing, etc.). Imagine my surprise when I brought my wife here to discuss getting her first tattoo. She had found an artist at this location and liked their work so we decided to make a visit and see how they wanted to get started. THEY WOULD NOT WORK WITH US ON ANYTHING!! They wouldnt let us make an appointment on the weekend AT ALL... Even for an early afternoon slot citing that was their busiest time. The artist was working with a client at the time and couldnt speak with us (which I totally understand). However, they wouldnt let us book an appointment to speak with the artist. I couldnt believe how little help they were being. We left because they obviously didnt want our business. I would recommend you go somewhere else.

Very professional people work there, they make sure that you follow the pandemic rules you have to wear a mask and they will take your temperature before you enter the building and is very clean inside too.My wife got her first tattoo there and they where very professional explaining what you will expect then we comeback for my son’s first piercing on his ear and we where vey satisfied.

Wife and I went in for tats had two different people do each one have to say the tat I got was top of the line and we also talked about a cover up on my left arm for a future piece. Amazing job from both people but all in all was a blast and my artists was constantly asking me if I was comfy and needed a break. Will be back soon for more work

I went to get a nose piercing and the experience was wonderful..It was simple, fast, and fun. Service was pleasant. No wait. I recommend 💯. I will be going back for all my services.

My son got his first tattoo today. The place was clean but they didnt go over what to do after, they just gave him a sheet of paper to read and said if we have any questions to call or come back by. Bobby was his tattoo artist. I told him he looked cool. I guess he thought I was going to touch him when I raised my finger to point at his grey patch of hair. Um no! He snatched back. I told him I wasnt going to touch him. He said some people do and its called personal space. I said ok anyway I was just complimenting him on his look. All in all I didnt feel too welcome here especially for a first time. It was just an ok experience. I think we will look elsewhere for future tattoo work.

Dont bother going to this location if you expect your artist to show you examples of their previous work. It takes acquired skill , from trial and error for an artist to be good at what they do.To conclude the staff is Highly unprofessional and not recommended.

Would have given higher rating but I got my daith and tragus pierced here and the ball of my daith wasnt tightened properly and came off including my earring 2 weeks after getting them done. Luckily it didnt go in my ear. Simple mistake. I recalled the guy who pierced it was having a hard time afterwards. I rushed to the shop immediately to get it put back in since I live 15 mins away. First a girl at the front told me they could put it back in but they would have to charge me again. Wasnt happy but went in anyway. When I get to the counter after taking payment one of the artists says he cant do it because of infection risks. They gave me my money back. Again disappointed but was considering just getting another piercing in the same ear. I asked if he could tell me if the daith piercing had closed yet, he said no he wouldnt. I asked him could he just look so I personally could know or not. He said he wouldnt (which didnt make sense). They are the ones that pierced it and you cant see the inside of your own ear. Then I asked for a mirror to judge where to put my new piercing I was considering and he again said no. I said you dont have a mirror? He just flatly said no. At this point I just walked out and went to PureThirteen Tattoo Co. Not far from there and got my Helix pierced and they were very nice.

Carl did my flat piercing and he commented that he was the most experienced piercer in the mid south. He told me this type of piercing tends to swell more than others, which was fine. However, after a week, I couldn’t feel the back of the piercing even with proper aftercare. It turns out that the post he used was too short and the jewelry was actually sinking into the back of my ear, and it would’ve eventually required surgery to remove if left alone. For a piercer who claims to have so much experience, why use such a short post for a piercing you know swells more than others? I will NOT be returning for another piercing. 10/10 would NOT recommend. Go to No Regrets or Trilogy if you want a proper piercing with great piercers.

Got my nose piercing here and also took my sister. Great clean place. The artist are so nice and respectful. Always recommend this establishment for piercings. Heard their tattoos were good also.

Got my eyebrow ring done was put really low nearly in my eyelid. And my friends nose ring was put in crooked. Both ended up getting infected weeks later. And my eyebrow ring was honestly just such a weird shape you could see the bar through my skin when the swelling went down.

Carl did a great job with my piercings and was very professional. Great customer service. Shop was clean and products were all sterile. Thoroughly recommend.

I got a daith piercing by Dan and I didnt know that he had done the piercing. Hes very gentle, calming and knowledgeable about his work. I felt very comfortable with him. Fans that man😊

Called ahead to bring two people up there to get their ears pierced. They said sure cmon. Got there 15 mins later and the piercer left....left went to pure 13 took care of us no problems

I had to come back and update my review.I had given 4 stars after just going back and making an appointment after not being there in about 10 years.Between the time I set my appt and went back to have my tatoo done, I had went through and read the reviews that others had left and ones of them that were negative I wanted to see if I saw the same thing.Ill keep it short...NO...It is a Tattoo Shop, its CLEAN, ORDERLY, PROFESSIONAL, AND SIMPLY A TATTOO SHOP! No More, No Less.I had Billy or Memphis Chester a my artist and I have not gotten a better tattoo anywhere.I have several and never has it been so laid back, to the point and good.So for those that leave bad reviews bc they go to a tattoo shop expecting to be treated like their at a nail or hair salon...stick to that bc to be honest Illusions is the most P.G. and nicest shop with good customer service that youll ever find for real.I plan on returning for myself and my wifes work very soon.

Went here once to buy some new jewelery for my tragus piercings and check out the atmosphere before scheduling an appointment for a tattoo. They were the rudest people I have ever dealt with.... needless to say I left without purchasing anything. I will NEVER go back here for anything jewelery, piercings, or tattoos. It is NOT HARD to be a nice person!!!

My personal experience was great! Very friendly welcoming people & my artist knew how to carry a conversation. Prices arent bad either! Definitely give them a go.

If your looking to get a tattoo just do your homework first they have some really good artists here but not all of them. And the staff that welcomes you is an *sswhole. But overall they are ok. But when your getting something permanently on your body you might want more than ok.

Took my 6 year old here to get her ears pierced for the first time with Carl. All the staff was very professional and we were in and out in under 15 minutes. We have also gotten tattoos here in the past and plan on coming back for more.

Not very nice to the people paying good money for ink. I feel like when I go to your place of business the staff is very rude and they actually take all the fun out of getting a tattoo. I have gotten some nice work but also not so nice. My main concern is how Im treated and I will not be back here.

Did a good job. Nice and clean place. Classier than most shops Ive seen. A little more expensive than I thought it should be for such a small tat, but he did a really good job and it didnt hurt near as bad as the others.

Was going to get my first tattoo there, after $100 dollar deposit. Bobby draws a freaking cartoon, that wasnt as anything like I wanted. I asked about price, they said $300-350. I MADE the mistake of saying as long as its under $500. Amazingly,...thats what it turned into. Ive always been told you should talk to the artist. I never got to. With 3 trips to the shop, Bobby never even met me. I would not let illusion Ink tattoo anything on me. They are not professional at all. They are just scammers and want to bes.

Decent place - quick service - lots of loiterers out front - not sure what was going on but overall, if needing another piercing or ink, will go again.

Excellent service and mine and my ink master had a steady hand even when the back of the chair mysteriously dropped lol. He also understood I have fibromyalgia and so when I said okay thats starting to hurt too much he was awesome and went to a different spot... did our tats without missing a beat.. amazing! So if you have fibromyalgia and you love ink is suggest you go here...

Got 15 total piercings done in one sitting great staff nice and polite definitely did a great job at what I wanted and made sure it was what I wanted and cared enough to show concern and do a excellent job thank you especially for a great 1st time experience in the location Im definitely coming back through for more body mods and some ink thanks for your hard work Im great satisfied with my piercings!

I still cant believe the experience I had here. Ive been researching tat shops and following Illusion Ink on Instagram for MONTHS. This is my first tattoo. Its a simple outlined triangle above the elbow. When I came in the place was empty, on a saturday, the front desk was nice enough. They asked the size I wanted which my answer was proportionate to my arm, not too small for the space or so big its starting to curve around, they never asked anything else, they printed out a random triangle and sized it to the back of my arm but never showed me. I hadnt been shown anything until the artist had it on my arm. How thick do you want the lines, do you want shading, what color do you want it, exactly where do you want it placed? I was never asked any of this. The artist I got did not speak, I couldnt even tell you his name because he never introduced himself. He was short when he did talk, like when he told me I didnt need to get on the table, and I apologized and told him this was my first time, and I had no idea how this worked....he said nothing. The triangle was elongated, and I wanted a perfect triangle so he had to take off the stencil and go back to the lobby, which he was not happy about. Next stencil, again he says nothing, just puts it on and asks me to look, through a mirror that is behind a book case and very limited in view. I couldnt see it clearly being that it was on my back side, he never offered another mirror or even a hand held mirror. Silence. I had to ask my friend to approve it and she said it wasnt centered on my arm, he said it was centered with my shoulder, and I told him I was really wanting it centered with the elbow. His response...thats not where you want it, but Ill stick it there anyway if you want me to. At this point I was uncomfortable, I felt pressured and rushed to get something permanent I did not love, and made to feel like I was being difficult for having an opinion on my tattoo. I ended up telling him we werent doing it, that I was uncomfortable and unhappy with the steps (or lack of steps) taken in this process. He didnt apologize or try to make things right, it was a ok then, come here and he removed the stencil. The front desk was understanding, but I cannot say this place is professional. At one point I looked around for an Illusion Ink sign to make sure I was in the right place. I drove over an hour each way to get a tattoo Ive been waiting months for. I have ideas for 11 more tats Im wanting over the next year or two and thought for sure this would be the place for all of them. Just very very disappointed this was my experience at a place so highly thought of. Im so upset I cant come back.
