I recommend having John do your tatoo. This is my first tattoo, and John made it a great experience. He explained everything to me ahead of time. Then went through the process slowly, making sure I liked the size and placement of the tattoo, before he began. I couldnt have had a better experience!.

This is now my second tattoo with Johnny and I could not be happier! Both are small, dainty fine line tattoos that he did exceptionally well. He’s friendly, makes you feel comfortable and takes the time to make sure it’s exactly how you want it. I gave him pictures of what I was thinking but wanted to put my own twist on it and he stenciled and aligned it until I was happy. 100/10 recommend going to Johnny!

John did amazing tattoos for me and my son last October and we absolutley love them. John is great and Id highly recommend him. The process was smooth, his shop is clean and comfortable, he gave clear aftercare instructions and his attention to detail is impeccable. And of course, our tattoos turned our great! We are both both looking forward to the next tattoos with John.

Johnny is GREAT at doing cover-ups; he did one for me 10 years ago and theres been no need for me to go back to touch it up. Since then, Ive done several other tatts, both large and small and each time has been an amazing experience. His studio is comfortable and very clean. Hes super professional and his artwork is great. I think Im done with getting tattoos now, but my son is ready for his first and Ill be taking him to Johnny for sure!

The best experience ever I had at Johny’s tattoo salon! The place is very clean, and cozy with comfortable temperature, while Johny performs His art on your body. He has excellent skills that are not competitive with others around that area. He nailed my order so perfectly! He inspired me for more tattoo by how fast, neat and painless his work was performed. John was very friendly and personable. The shop is small, comfortable, and clean as could be. John helped me to tweak the design I had came up with and gave advice on the body placement. He quickly drew up a great line sketch that I would hang on the wall itself. John was very light handed and quick with getting the tattoo done. A 3x3 inch tattoo was completed in 2.5 hours. John was very informative about the care and healing process of the tattoo. He showed me exactly how to care for it and what to buy. Great experience and would definitely recommend to a friend.

Im sorry Im late writing this but I couldnt go another day without saying how dope John is! My friend and I came into Full Throttle a couple of weeks ago to get tattoos and the experience was so positive. I told him my idea the day before when I first met him and he exceeded my expectations. As an artist, John explains everything thoroughly from the idea to the aftercare of the new tattoo. Hes very talented at what he does, very professional, and an all around good guy. The shop is totally clean, sterile, and comfortable. I will definitely be back...and even bring another friend. Like I told John that day, I found my new artist! :)

I cant say enough good things about John at Full Throttle! So far Ive had 3 beautiful pieces done by him.. his line work especially is so impressive. It was the experience that really blew me away though. The shop is small and felt very private and personal, which I loved, and it was insanely clean. Johns got no books of pre-drawn tattoos, so each of his pieces is custom. He spent a lot of time looking at my references and working with me to draw the perfect tattoo and pick the best size and placement. I felt like he understood exactly what I wanted. He was so personable and great to chat with while he was tattooing me.. it made the time fly by. I feel like he goes out of his way to make sure that every single one of his clients feels comfortable and has fun. After the great experiences Ive had at Full Throttle, I wouldnt go trust anyone else with my tattoos and I cant wait to go back for more!

I was one of the few kids that came up in the 90s that didnt get inked or pierced. Always appreciated good body art, but personally never had any reason for the permanency - and not to mention Im completely freaked out by needles.However after the untimely, heartbreaking death of my dog from lymphoma, I knew I wanted to get a piece to memorialize him. My girlfriend surprised me with a gift certificate to Johns shop, so I whipped together some designs using a cast of my dogs paw.Called John, a very cool, friendly guy, and arranged a consult at his meticulously spotless and comfortable studio over in Research Drive. He dug what I was going for and a week later it was go time.Three things you have know about Johnny, his work and why hes the best in the area, 1 - hes mind-blowingly fast, 2 - hes very, very gentle with his gun (this coming from a guy that had to be bear-hugged as a kid to get a needle at the doctors office), 3 - and most importantly, his work is super-precise, clean and detailed. What I showed him is *exactly* what I got on me over the course of two sessions. He doesnt charge by hour, he charges by the design because hes just that fast and agile. All in it was maybe 2 hours and change in the chair, and for work this clean and detailed its worth every (reasonably charged) penny.I love my tattoo, and love Johnnys work. Both are bad ass, just like my dog was in better times.

John was great! Very nice and personable. Does amazing work and takes the time to get the tattoo perfect. He drew out a few different options for me and didnt rush at all. Highly recommended.

Last year myself and my best friend went to see John about designing a winged wheel tattoo that would commemorate a job we both had. John couldnt be nicer, he worked with us, gave us his input and drew up a version of what we suggested that blew us both away! My friend got his on his ankle and I got mine on my on my shoulder blade.The detail was amazing, the font was outstanding, it had a classic look to it and was developed by John. After John finished my tattoo, he went ahead and touched up an old tattoo that hadnt healed right.Johns shop was as clean as an operating room!!! I would recommend John to anyone who wants a quality job and a tattoo they will be proud to show off.

My boyfriend and I had a tattoo idea that we really wanted to have done kind of last minute. We called a bunch of tattoo places in the area and none would take us. Then we found John! The shop is super clean and John does a great job making you feel comfortable. He was so accommodating and worked with us on tweaking the design. My boyfriend has had a lot of experience with tattoo shops and he said hands down John will be doing his next one. This was my first experience and Im already ready to go back!!

John did an excellent job on my tattoo. 4 hours plus on the tattoo and I must say turned out perfect. Felt like i knew him for years. He was very professional and respectful. My tattoo was in a tough area and never once did I feel uncomfortable. Thanks John.

John is a one man army. He knows what hes doing. He will schedule for you, consult with and work with you to create a one on one custom experience that you will be happy with.I got my first two tattooos done. And he is straightforward and clear about what hes going to do. The shop is clean. The man cares for his customers. And he does not mess around.

Im new to the area so I was looking for a new shop. I called Johny cold and from start to finish, I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The professionalism and expertise of Johny is outstanding. His pictures speak for themselves but you wont be able to truly appreciate his work until you see it in person. Johny is the best! So professional, gives the customer exactly what they want and more. I came in wanting a traditional panther head and he took its to the next level and made it look better than the picture. I have over 20 tattoos and I highly recommend him!
