Light Side Tattoo & Piercings

Light Side is fantastic. I have been to many tattoo shops and they are among the best.I discovered the Light Side when I was in Statesville for the Full Bloom Film Festival and I walked by. There were 3 people hanging out on a lovely summer day. I asked if any of them worked there or had gotten tattoos there, and they said both.I went in and talked with Olivia, one of the artists, and decided to make an appointment for the next day when I was coming back to the festival.Olivia is very talented, easy to work with, and always checks on size, placement, color, etc. Shes flexible, has very reasonable pricing, great energy, & has made a couple of helpful suggestions.The tattoos always come out exactly as I hoped. Shes also a good conversationalist and weve talked about tattoos and many other things.The shop itself is super clean and the recent remodeling came out really nice and the space is even more appealing (though it was nice before too).The other artists and the owner are friendly, chill, and have been in the business for many years.Highly recommend Olivia and Light Side. Ive gone 5 times, have another one set for next month, and am stoked!

I just got my 1st tattoo with Olivia. She was very nice, very professional and put me at ease since this was my first tattoo. I got one for my blue heeler, Jax who will be 15 this month. It was a small one to start but Id like to maybe get his paw done. I will most certainly be coming back to Olivia for that one. She did a great job. The shop was very clean, her area was also very clean.

Fantastic piercing experience, they left exactly enough room for swelling and gave me very thorough aftercare instructions (both verbally and written). The piercer did an excellent job keeping me calm through the experience as well and I plan to come back and get another as soon as this one is healed up :)

Jeremy was absolutely wonderful. Did a phenomenal job on my tattoo. He was also a great conversationalist and I enjoyed the three hours I spent with him. Also was very informative about the stages of what my tattoo would look like through the healing. Love my tattoo and would not hesitate going back to him which I intend to do very soon. I am hooked.

Light Side has the best vibe. Aaron was our artist. He took great care and safety in his work. Our tats are healing, and my color is vibrant!

Tim has always been so kind to me, ever since I came in the first time when I was about 13 or 14 to get my ears pierced and today, when I turned 18, he allotted his whole day to do my lips, eyebrows, and to taper my septum. I am so thankful to live right down the road from such a great place! My dad has had his tattoos done here also and has a high opinion - we will both be back to get more work done! Absolutely fantastic group of kind and extremely interesting and entertaining guys, all while being professional!

Absolutely love Lightside. I’ve had piercings and tattoos from them. My most recent was from Jeremy. My mom and I loved being tattooed by him. He was respectful and caring as well as a fun person to talk with.

I got a tattoo from Jeremy a few months back (he made my idea even better than I imagined) and just went in for a touch up. Jeremy is an all around great guy and Im excited to keep working with him in the future! Ive also gone to Tim to get my belly button piercing flipped to a smaller size and highly recommend him if youre looking to get any new metal put in. Great shop, great guys, great vibe!

I had my first experience with Light Side today. The shop is very clean and the people there are extremely knowledgeable and professional. Thomas gave me an awesome tattoo. This guy is an amazing artist and I absolutely love the finished piece! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Not only did Tim fit me in even though I didnt book an appointment, but he was beyond knowledgeable and professional discussing and administering my piercing. He was also patiently informative answering my questions regarding future piercings. I couldnt be happier with my results.

Great place, extremely clean. Jeremy is a very very good artist, his drawing was exactly what I saw in my head. Handles the gun very well. Good conversation while he was tattooing me. I am extremely happy with the finished product and will be going back again!!!!!!

I got my belly button pierced and had a very friendly welcoming there very good humor when someone needs it the most very very clean by changing gloves constantly and wiping stuff down. Talked to u step by step and it was painless I didn’t even feel it to be honest and most importantly fair and cheap prices will be going back to them when I have the money to get more things I want done 💕💕💕

Wonderful staff and VERY clean facility!! I visit often and genuinely enjoy every experience Ive had at Light Side. The owner is so friendly and accommodating to his clients needs and willing to go above and beyond to make sure they are all well taken care of. I have been coming to this shop for 5 years now... I drive 5+ hours to get tattooed in this establishment. Super professional dudes that truly know and love what they do. There are very few shops like it around anywhere. Happy with all the work I have had done and customer service is always outstanding. Definitely planing more trips in the near future to get larger work.

These guys are terrific. Brad tattooed a peice on my calf yesterday. I came out so well, it was fantastic. Brad is a really nice guy and an extremely talented artist. Ill be going back soon!

Everyone is really nice there. I have been tattooed by Brad and pierced by Tim and Ill never go anywhere else.

Would be 5 stars for cleanliness, but the last few times I have came in for piercings, the guy doing them acted like I was bothering him when I got pierced. He didnt act like he wanted to be there at all. The same piercer had done many of my piercings and had always been friendly and willing to answer any questions. But the last few times not so much. I hate feeling like a bother to anyone, and thats exactly how I felt...

Great environment at this shop. I always see Thomas Sigmon and he always goes above and beyond. Great artwork. Great artists. Great shop. WAS the best tattoo shop ive ever been to. I got my tattoo done there a couple months ago on my ribs, The tattoo artist was so patient with me even though I was making him stop every time he tried to do a line. I would come back to this shop for any future tattoos. Also the price was very reasonable for the size of the tattoo. love the shops work and how they treat there customers.

This visit was my 2nd. And, if I decide to get another piercing OR a tatoo, it will be at Light Side! Tim is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The shop has always been very clean and organized.

Jeremy has done my last two tattoos and I am more than pleased with his work. Also got my piercing done here and they did a wonderful job. Absolutely love this place!!

My daughter got a septum piercing and I got a daith piercing. Tim was great! He was very informative through the whole process and both piercings are healing perfectly!

One of staff members are extremely RUDE, wouldnt let me speak and basically turned me down all together without hearing anything I had to say.
