Black Rabbit Tattooing

I have nothing but good things to say about the team at Black Rabbit. Ive been working with Jason B. for about a year now and hes designed both of my tattoos (first one was a phoenix, the other one is a dragon and is almost done, both large arm pieces). He met with me for a couple of different consults on each one to go over the design to make sure things were going in the direction I was looking for and he worked with me to help me understand what kind of things do or dont work well with tattoos versus paper and he was open when I had various design ideas to add or modify as wed review what he had designed.When I got the first tattoo done, he and Elysia were both very clear about things like the deposit, what to do if I need to reschedule, and how to take care of the tattoo after each session.With having multiple sessions to tackle a couple of large pieces Ive had the opportunity to get to know the staff there and, to me, they are all very easy to get along with, have a good sense of humor and are encouraging for newcomers. These two large tattoos are my first tattoos ever and these guys have been awesome to work with. I personally wouldnt go anywhere else.

Where do I even begin? This shop is one of the best I’ve set in across the NATION. All of the artists there, including the apprentices, are MAD TALENTED; this makes sense though because the “oldies” in there are just insanely remarkable, the kids get to learn from the best in the business.The artist I was originally seeing unfortunately passed away last year, and the artists did a flash day of things in his honor to provide extra funds for his family shortly after his passing. They honored the deposits his clients provided even though they lost money in the process, so not only are they all masterful artists, they are also kind and caring people that frequently give back to the community.KD has almost finished up my sleeve that Trev was working on, and I get compliments on their line work all the time. Maliyah is the newer apprentice there and I just got a piece from her yesterday, 10/10 line-work, shading and professionalism for an apprentice! Jason did my flash day for Trev and he was quick, clean, and provides some crisp lines. The receptionist responds to inquires online quickly, is great with answering questions, and makes everyone feel welcome.When I get into the shop it reminds me of my friend group; no topics are off limits and it’s a little bit dysfunctional, but that’s part of what makes Black Rabbit feel like home. Now I just need to have Mark and Jackson tattoo me and I’ll have had everyone there tattoo me! You really can’t go wrong with this place. Pick any artist, you won’t be disappointed.

The only shop I’ll go to. Very friendly and accommodating artists and staff.Jason is my main artist, but they’re all very talented and have their own style. Mark, KT, Jackson, and Maliyah are all worth checking out depending on what style you’re into.Been tattooed by a few of them and they don’t have heavy hands and are willing to work with your ideas to give you the best tattoo possible, will not settle till they make sure you have something worth looking at for the rest of your life.Did I mention free snacks, drinks, and after care product? Very clean and quality ink and supplies.

Great atmosphere and staff! Have gotten several tattoos done here now and have always been blown away by the quality of the work. On top of that the place is impeccably clean and has an inviting and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I have had a few tattoos at Black Rabbit, by a couple different artists, all my experiences have been great. The shop is clean, the artists listen and give feedback, and all my pieces are perfect. Will definitely go back for more!

Walked into this place a few years ago with a design I had drawn up (by a friend who is an artist but not tattoo artist) and now flash forward and I have added several more tattoos by 3 different artists with the majority being custom.I have primarily worked with Jason who has been exceptional to collaborate with. He literally has been taking my crazy ideas and turning them into more than even my brain dreampt up.I will also say, I have been told No or had total revamps on some of my ideas and I have always received a full explanation of the artists concerns over things like size and aging, fading, color washout, etc. which I love and respect as a client.Its always been very clean and welcoming. Ive had silent sessions where i listen to music the whole time, very chatty sessions and they even turned on a movie of my choice for a session.Exactly what I hope for with a home shop. Plus have good snacks!

I was tattoo’d by apprentice Jackson. The shop was a calm, clean environment and Jackson was able to create a beautiful floral design as well as some lettering on my bicep. Will be going there for any further additions to my tattoo’s/ touch-up’s.

Came in with my brother hoping to get seen as a walk-in. Unfortunately everyone was booked for the day but they did have an artist they called and asked if he would be willing to do the quick 3x3 piece we wanted as matching tattoos to remember our late grandfathers passing. Mark was more than excited to come in, drew up exactly what we wanted and we were in and out of there in a very efficent, and thorough manner. I’ll be coming back the next time we’re in town! 🌽❤️

Loved everything about this shop! I’ve been tattooed at other shops, and although I had good experiences; I liked this one the most! I scheduled with Jackson, he customized them to be exactly what I wanted, and to fit where I wanted. The atmosphere is immaculate, and the people were all very easy to get along with! I felt very comfortable there. The shop and procedure were very sanitary. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for some ink! I’ve already scheduled my next appointment and will continue to do so!

I had an amazing experience at this shop! I have numerous tattoos and have felt pretty uncomfortable in the shop I previously went to. Everyone was super friendly and talkative, Maliyah did my mine and I cannot express how professional she was! Not only is she an incredible artist, she is a perfectionist and not afraid to ask her coworkers opinions, which I think is someone that definitely cares about her customers!! I absolutely love my tattoo and am going back for another! I have spread the word about this shop to so many people and will continue to do so!!

The only down side to this shop is that its 5 hours from home, but Ill still make the drive. Ive got a piece in progress with Kd and Im having a really good experience between the environment and the attention to detail. Every session I get to see amazing art being done by everyone there. Staff is amazing and cant wait to drive down again. Check them out if you can and Ill post pics of the piece when its done and healed

I have an amazing tattoo done by KD and I cant be happier with the results. She took what I had imagined and made it even better. She is extremely talented, very knowledgeable and professional.She also was very considerate with having to reschedule when I had to have surgery. I am so beyond happy with my tattoo and I can not wait for more work to be done by her.

3rd piece I’ve gotten done with Jackson, absolutely awesome to work with!

Jason did my back tattoo and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. He’s working on my sleeve now, but no pics till done. Which I should add is covered in old road rash scaring. The tattoo is coming along amazingly and I love how he takes his time and is considerate and understanding he’s tattoo scaring.

Jackson has done multiple tattoos for me, came in on Friday the 13th and got some of his flash. Always super happy with the results that come out of this shop!

Ive gotten two tattoos from Maliyah at Black Rabbit and love the process every time! The shop is very clean and professional, all of the artists are awesome and help eachother out and make sure youre safe and comfortable. 10/10 will continue going back for all of my work!

KD is the absolute best. They created the most relaxing, fun environment during my session. And the tattoo itself? The cleanest, crisp line work I have ever seen. Ive gotten several compliments in the last few days since getting my tattoo regarding how amazing my piece looks. The shop was clean, and has some super wicked art, decorations and figures. You almost dont even need to bring your phone for entertainment during your session. Theres so many cool things to look at and great conversations to be had. You can tell a lot of care went into creating a space where the weird at heart feel welcomed. I cannot recommend KD and this shop enough. Absolutely worth the hour drive from Oshkosh.

Came to Black Rabbit today to get a tattoo from Jackson. I walked out with a masterpiece! The environment at the store is clean and friendly. The artists are all good at keeping the mood light and make sure you feel right at home. I would highly recommend anyone come here and talk to Jackson about getting a tattoo.

I have been to Black Rabbit a few times now and I plan to be back again! I got some ink from Maliyah, who is a newer artist, but she is killing it already. She has such an amazing team there and great mentors with loads of talent! The atmosphere is great too. I have been to many shops in the area and this one is by far my favorite! Katie or however she spells her name does not deserve not even a 1 star. Firstable she is the rudes, I have canceled my appointment a few times do to complications with my surgery, I called and explained the situation but she doesnt care. Today I stopped by to reschedule and she said that the money I put down is voided because I didnt cancel with enough anticipation (like if going to ER is not allowed) I understand perfectly that she missed appointments with possible clients, but my tatoo was supposed to be my kids name that has 5 letters. Anyway, she stole my money!!

Every time visiting Black Rabbit is a positive experience. Extremely professional, knowledgeable, & friendly staff with a sterile environment. Their apprentice Maliyah does phenomenal work as well!!

Went in last week for a later evening appointment, was called quickly, and Jackson did an absolutely incredible job. I brought him a decent idea, and he made it so much better than I could have imagined.

Visited for a couple of tattoos. Too many imperfections Including Shaky lines, and the ink has not held well in some areas. Placement is also not great for one of them due to the positioning of how the arm was for the tattoo. Overall, I would not recommend due to the listed reasons as well as being overpriced for the quality of work received.Update to response: I returned for a second session for a touch-up. The tattoo that was touched up looks worse than the initial appointment. You obviously have me mistaken with someone else because my visit was a while back not recently. I would honestly make sure youre even referring to correct person before assuming that this was someone else entirely before making such statements. The owner of this shop should be taking reviews and using them to their advantage instead of belittling the person leaving the reveiew. Just my opinion. Just another reason I would not recommend this shop.

I’ve been going to this shop for a few years now. Ever since KD did my first tattoo on my 18th birthday, I’ve stuck with her! She’s always done amazing work. I’ve never had a problem here, the shop is always entertaining and a welcoming environment. KD recently finished my all time favorite piece last night, and I cannot put into words how much I love it. Thank you!! I will definitely be returning and will always recommend this shop foreverrrr❤️❤️

JASON IS FANTASTIC!I brought my design idea to Jason in April. Jason was attentive, interested, caring and friendly. We had a thorough consultation in June and scheduled a first session in July and a second session in August.Jason contacted me a few days before my first session to check in and confirm my time and design.On the day of the first session Jason showed concern for my comfort and expectations. During the tattooing process Jason checked in on my comfort and we had good conversation. A unique, and welcoming, part of the process were the movies Black Rabbit Tattoo plays in the shop.Once the session was completed Jason explained and provided his after care instructions, which are easy to understand and follow. We confirmed my second session time and date, along with the finishing work he would complete.My tattoo, thus far, is EXACTLY what I expected. Jason obviously knew what I was seeking, which is a testament to his attention, follow up and talent.Thank you Jason and Black Rabbit Tattooing. You have secured a client for my continuing skin art collection. There are many tattoo shop choices out there, but only one for me.

First time I went I was a walk in and Jason was available. Showed him a picture and my idea and within an hour he drew it up and loved them. Yesterday had a back piece done with Trevor and absolutely love it! I turned out so beautiful. His line work and attention to detail is amazing! I received a tattoo from Mark. It took a little longer than expected but it also came out better than I anticipated. After it was done he gave me care instructions. I feel good about what I received and will get more tattoos here in the future.The environment was casual and friendly.

I had drawn up my own tattoo that I really wanted for my mom who had passed away a year ago. A few weeks before the day I was going to get my tattoo, I consulted with the artist (Trevor) to make sure this was something he could do. It wasnt that difficult of a tattoo, if I could draw it within a couple seconds. Trevor said that it was a tattoo he could do, so we scheduled an appointment a couple weeks later. When the day came for me to get my tattoo, I walked into the shop, only to find out that Trevor wasnt even there, and would be gone for a few weeks. Nobody had contacted me to tell me he wouldnt be there. So I had to reschedule my appointment for two weeks out. Finally, two weeks later, I was super excited to finally get my tattoo. I walk in and said that I was there for Trevor. He grabs the paper that he had drawn up of my tattoo and it was nothing similar. It looked like something I wouldve drawn in middles school. The entire thing was different from what I wanted, and he said he wanted to change it even more. The tattoo I had drawn myself apparently wasnt his style, but for a five star tattoo shop, you should be able to do just about everything and completely change what your customer wants. If you truly are an artist, yous should be able to do a near replica of the art that your customer wants. So, I definitely would not recommend this shop for your tattoos. It was a waste of my time, and caused great emotional pain, especially since the tattoo was for my mother who passed.

Back in June, I contacted Black Rabbit Tattooing to get a custom tattoo drawn out. I met with Jason and told him the story about the tattoo I wanted. It was a memorial piece of my cat Moon whom passed away back in 2018. I got it on the 21st of October. The tattoo turned out so lifelike, so beautiful and just perfect. The tattoo Jason did captured how beautiful My Baby Girl Moon was when she was around. I still can’t believe how lifelike it is and how I get to wear her on me every where now. I definitely will be going back to Jason for the rest of my tattoos in the future. He was respectful, nice and professional. Everyone else for the staff and artists there were also so professional and respectful. Definitely found my artist and my shop to go the near future.

Just started a bigger peice with Jason and I would highly suggest going here! The staff is all super amazing! Super friendly, clean and just a really comfortable environment. He was super knowledgeable and made sure I knew what I needed to know for aftercare.My tattoo is even better than what I pictured in my head so far, and I cant wait for the final result. Its absolutely beautiful.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

This place is incredible! Me and my friends were from outta state, and they allowed us to walk in and get us all tatted within our time constraint! Trevor did some amazing work and 10/10 well be back once we take another trip up that way! Super professional, clean, and an overall great shop experience! They even do UV reactive tattoos! It really doesnt get much better, dont sleep on this place if youre in the area!!

Kristin has done a number of my tattoos, and she has never disappointed me. She has always made sure I’m comfortable and happy with the work she’s done. Each piece is better than the last!She is the go to person when people ask me for recommendations for a solid tattoo artist.

This was my first ever tattoo and Im in love with it thanks to Eric! I even want more and will definitely be going back to him next time. Even my girlfriend wants to get her next one done by him because he did such a good job. Overall outstanding environment!!

Never will go to anyone else. Not too many tattoo artist will tattoo 5 different people when you only made appointments for two. Trevor is a great artist and all five of us will be going back. Clean shop, friendly staff couldnt ask for more beyond happy. This place deserves more than 5 stars.

Elysia and Kd were amazing to me! I wasn’t happy with a tattoo I had gotten and they helped me figure out a plan to make it better. They worked with my tricky/limited availability to come in without hesitation. Elysia even reached out to me after to make sure I was still loving my newly done tattoo. It really meant a lot to me. Can’t thank them enough!

Looking back at a tattoo that I got when I turned 18, I am so disappointed with how it turned out. It was especially sad right after I got it, it’s my grandmothers handwriting. The tattoo was nothing like her writing, not clean, and was flat out not right. They reached out to have it touched up, which was very kind. It still was bad after they tried to fix it, I went to another shop and he asked me where I went because this tattoo was botched. He said there wasn’t much we could do to fix it. I’m sure this place does great tattoos but if cursive penmanship wasn’t your expertise then I would’ve appreciated it to be recommended to a different artist or a different shop. What’s done is done, but if you want calligraphy I wouldn’t recommend.

Nothing negative to say at all. The line work on my tat is impressive and Im super happy with the results! Trevor was good about adjusting what I wanted in my design so I was happy with my piece. The shop had good vibes and was clean. Good experience overall, Ill be back :)

KD gave me a really beautiful tattoo, its exactly what I wanted, but maybe even better. All of the artists there were friendly and polite. The general vibe was very chill, and I will definitely go there again.

Got matching tattoos with my besties on a spur of the moment decision. They were able to get us both in within 2 hours from my call and the tattoos turned out badass. The shop was super clean and Kd was super friendly. Really glad we found this place, every tattoo we seen finished yesterday looked amazing. We will definitely be back!

All of my tattoos done by Trevor are garbage. The lines are all blown out. All are scarred and raised. Every single tattoo done else where is perfect. Also, no longer supporting horrible people :)
