Meraki piercing studio

I loved my experience at this studio. They were super friendly, treated me with respect, and answered all my questions. They also helped me choose lovely jewelry for both an old piercing and my new septum piercing. Jasmine was my piercer and she did a lovely job. She was super friendly and calming. I will definitely be recommending this to all my friends.

The studio was very clean and well looked after. I had my eyebrow pierced by Jasmine, who was very professional yet kind and considerate. She thoroughly explained the entire process for me and waited for me to be ready to begin the piercing. The clerk at the front was very kind as well, and both were very considerate in explaining all the risks and aftercare and overall everything there is to know about the piercing. They truly care for their clients and it shows - they offer water, too! I definitely plan on returning for more piercings in the future. :-)

Got 2 ear piercings from Jasmine Merrill today and I will definitely be coming back for more!! 😁Jasmine made sure I was comfortable every step of the way.I LOVE how she took her time to line up where I wanted them so they are symmetrical to the earrings in my other ear.Her placement for both are spot on, perfect!I have over 20 ear piercings and she was definitely the most professional, clean, and friendliest!!Called about 5 other shops in the area and none of them answered the phone except this place!It was a little further out, and completely worth the drive!It was super easy to book an appointment online and the place is very clean and tidy!Cant wait to get some more piercings here!

Very clean and professional facility! Jasmine was amazing. She was extremely friendly and comforting and talked me through the entire process. It didn’t hurt one bit while she was piercing. Overall I felt very safe and comfortable. Would definitely go back for any future piercings!

10/10 would recommend! My 8 year old daughter wanted her ears pierced so we came to Meraki as first-timers. The staff was so welcoming and did everything they could to make it a fun and easy experience for her. We came in excited, but a little anxious and nervous, and left with some fabulous new earrings and a BOATLOAD of confidence! It couldn’t have gone better!

I had 3 ear piercings done here in December 2023. 2 lobe and 1 cartilage (forward helix). I believe it was Jasmin that did my piercings if I remember her name correctly... she did an amazing job! I felt very comfortable and I absolutely love how they turned out. They have healed very well. The studio was clean, friendly and professional employees, had a nice selection of earrings and body jewelry. I highly recommend!

Omg! I just have the absolute best experience every time I go into Meraki! First time I came in Mary re pierced my nostril and put in the jewelry I already had for me and pierced my eyebrow! Did a fantastic job! Once it was time for me to change my jewelry in my eyebrow Mary downsized my bar for me and also worked with me to get a custom eyebrow piece made by Anatometal! A couple weeks later when the piece came in I came back and Jasmine put the new jewelry in for me and put in a new philtrum piercing! Also, did an amazing job! Jasmine, Mary and the whole team at Meraki are AMAZING!! Everyone is so kind and professional! They explain the piercing process so thoroughly everytime! They make sure you’re comfortable and feel good the whole time! The studio is clean and a welcoming environment! Every time I’m there they make me feel amazing and beautiful! I can’t wait to go back!!

This review comes 7 weeks late BUT I had a great experience getting my septum pierced at Meraki! This was my first piercing since getting my ears pierced as a kid, so I was quite nervous. Jasmine was a phenomenal piercer- she broke down everything she was doing from cleaning her equipment to the piercing process, and she was so incredibly kind and personable, which really calmed my nerves. She was gentle and careful and the piercing was done before I knew it! She explained the aftercare thoroughly and answered all of my questions, even showing me how to flip the ring up so. I havent had any issues whatsoever with my piercing site or jewelry. Ill definitely be back if I decide to get any more piercings done :)

First time at Meraki and won’t be the last. Everyone was so friendly, professional and attentive. The place was very clean! Mary did my ear piercing and she was awesome throughout the whole process. I’ll definitely be back to Meraki when it’s time for another piercing.

I have been here multiple times through the years and every time i have been so satisfied by the employees’ and owner’s demeanor, helpfulness, and attitude. everyone is so nice. they have helped me trouble shoot piercings they didn’t perform, helped with jewelry, and are generally just very knowledgeable. i would always recommend this place.

My experience at this piercing studio was awful. I got my third lobe piercing done in December and was told there would be a 6-8 week healing time. I waited that time frame and my piercing cite was still inflamed and sore. After the 6-8 weeks, I came in for a checkup due to the pain and inflammation and was told to give the piercing more time. I gave the piercing 2 more months came in again when it still had not healed. When I walked in, I was helped by one of the female staff members and was basically told that the entire issue was caused because I had recently decided to stop wearing the jewelry they provided and wore my own because theirs was causing pain and discomfort. I had been having pain and discomfort for a very long time and decided to use my own jewelry as a last ditch effort to get relief. This switch to my own jewelry was about 2 weeks before I came in for my second checkup. Their explanation as this being the cause of all my pain did not make any sense to me because I had been having pain for a long period of time beforehand. When I continued asking them trying to understand how my recent change could have effected all of the months before that the owner came out from the back and immediately acted hostile towards me. He commented on my race, called me a liar, told me I needed to lower my expectations and made other accusations that were not true. I was told that in order to heal that I needed to buy another piece of jewelry they had and to not take it out at all for the next few months. It has now been two months of healing with their recommended jewelry and not removing it as they instructed and I have still not healed and experience bleeding and soreness from the piercing cite. My piercing healing time was supposed to be 8 weeks, but it has been 7 months and I have still not healed properly. I was told by one of the piercing staff that it may be my body having issues healing, but I just don’t understand how when my previous two piercings (not done by Meraki) healed in 6 weeks with absolutely no issues whatsoever. I am extremely disappointed not only with the actual outcome of the piercing, but also the horrible treatment while I was in the studio.

I had such an amazing experience here. I wanted to get my septum pierced and was super nervous for some reason. When I came in I was greeted and asked to choose the jewelry I wanted. There’s a lot of options! I didn’t catch their name but the person at the desk was super kind and helpful. Jasmine ended up piercing me and she was extremely thorough with explaining the whole process and everything she had to do to pierce. She took her time and made sure everything was perfect, I didn’t even feel the needle go in. It’s been almost a day and I have no soreness or discomfort at all which is crazy! This is a top notch shop and I’ll be going here if I decide to get more piercings. I couldn’t be happier with my experience.

I had my navel and nostril done by kris. absolutely amazing experience for both. i was very nervous going in because i hadn’t gotten any piercings other than my ears before, but he made me feel so comfortable and calmed my nerves resulting in a easy, painless process for both. the place is also very clean and organized which i liked. i will definitely be coming here for any other piercings i get!

Kris runs an extremely customer centered piercing studio. He is knowledgeable, professional, and makes you feel like you are the only customer he has had all day! His jewelry is top of the line as well as unique. I highly recommend taking your business to Kris!

Absolutely awful customer service. Would not recommend. Went here to get my husband a philtrum for his birthday (end of April) they said 3 weeks to get it in. I called them middle of JUNE - ‘forgot to order the piece at least another 5 weeks’ which is insane. Called again a week ago and they never even bothered to call me back. It’s now August 1st and my husband still does not have a fitted philtrum in his mouth. Don’t waste your time or money here.

This place is amazing. I will never go anywhere else ever again. Kris was very kind and professional and informative and I did not feel judged at all. The way he sets everything up seemed super clean and sterile and the procedures were pretty quick and painless. It was the least amount I’ve ever felt a piercing before. He was very gentile. He repierced my septum that someone else had done crooked and he made it straight for me, and helped me decide on an appropriate lip piercing for my anatomy. My septum was painless and my lip was just a little pinch. I’m so happy with my new piercings! It was well worth the drive from Cleveland.

Went to get my nose pierced and Jasmine was amazing! Very thorough and informative! I would request her with each future piercing. Also whoever assisted in the front (not sure their name) was also wonderful. The guy greeted me with “what!?” when I walked in, which I found odd and unprofessional though. Highly recommend either way!

So I got my nose pierced at meraki piercing studio last Tuesday 4/12/22. I must say that the people there are so kind and compassionate to their clients. I am amazed at how sweet and caring they were. They get 5 ⭐️’s there. Please give them a try. They were very patient with me and always had a smile. Thank you guys for an awesome time.

I have gotten three piercings here and they have all went very well! The staff is very friendly and helpful throughout the whole process! They have a great selection of jewelry as well! I will definitely be returning here for all my future piercings!

I drove an hour to get pierced here, as they focus solely on piercings and had good reviews. I’ve been permanently scarred in the past by chain/ cheap shops and did a lot of research on NEO piercers.My piercer was Jasmine. I told her I used to have a septum piercing that fell out in 2020 and when I tried to put jewelry through it wouldn’t go, so I assumed it had healed. She used a probe to break through thin scar tissue then tapered my septum up to 16g, so I didn’t have to get it re-pierced. I was shocked there was still an opening. They only charged me for the jewelry, not the $40 piercing fee. The jewelry here is expensive (think over $50 for a basic circular barbell) but imo it’s worth the cost of having your piercing done correctly & with quality jewelry.Jasmine and the receptionist were very friendly, professional, and make you feel comfortable. The shop is clean & neat. You can book an appt online ahead of time but it does require a card to secure your spot (won’t be charged unless you no call no show.)I’m so happy I finally have my septum back. :) I plan on coming back here to complete my ears, and potentially a Medusa and double nostril piercings. It’s worth the drive and price!

I got all of my pretty invasive piercings here and I’ve had the best experience every time. The staff is kind and understanding and the space is always so clean. They are definitely worth the prices, my piercings have healed perfectly!!

I highly recommend Jasmine! I went in to get my septum repierced. She asked me a few questions and discovered that I didn’t need to get pierced again and we could put new jewelry in! Very good piercing studio. Excellent selection of jewelry and great skill. Hes an APP piercer that doesnt charge you an arm and leg for jewelry. If youre looking for a piercer that will do an amazing job and make you look fantastic, this is the place to go. (The piercing he did in that photo was the forward helix)

All around great experience! You get what you pay for. I had second lobe piercings done yesterday by Jasmine and I have no pain today and everything looks great. The staff are welcoming, kind, patient, and thorough. I have a lot of social anxiety and am autistic and was very comfortable there. I will be back as I have really missed the piercings I used to have 20+ years ago.

This is by far the best piercing studio I’ve ever been too and I’ve been to a handful!! I went in last minute to get some earrings taken out that I was unable to do on my own before an MRI and they helped me immediately. I went back the next day to get my earrings put back in after the mri and even had them re-pierce a partially closed hole. I left thrilled!! A few weeks later, I seemed to have had issues with the jewelry or something and it caused the piercing to get red and swollen and bleed a little. Not only did the staff help me over the phone while I was out of town but when I returned, they saw me to fix the issue the day I came home. Literally the next day, my piercing was back to normal like nothing happened in the first place! They take such great and extreme care of each customer and go above and beyond. I will seriously never go anywhere else but here moving forward! Thank you again, Meraki!!!

I went here to get my nipples repierced and it was an amazing experience. They are so friendly and they are very thorough when it comes to figuring out where to mark your piercing. This is the kind of thing where you want a perfectionist, and thats exactly what you get if you go here for a piercing. Loved the vibes, their knowledge, their selections. A great experience overall.I wish I could buy body jewelry from here because it is gorgeous, but its also out of my price range. Thats the only negative thing I can say about this place. And thats not even because of them.I also have to add that she made me feel very comfortable and that was important for such a personal piercing. She talked to me before doing anything, asked if she could touch me, was very sweet. Seriously such an amazing experience.

My experience with Meraki was absolutely amazing! Of all the body mod places Ive been too, Meraki is definitely up there as one of my favorites. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and accommodating! All around a PERFECT experience. i am neurodivergent and struggle a lot with anxiety and jasmine was absolutely lovely in talking to me, explaining what we were gonna do, and always asked and explained what she was doing before she touched me. i absolutely ADORE my new piercing and would 10/10 recommend this place for their professionalism and overall kindness!!!

I came in to get my navel re-pierced after it was messed up a few years ago at a different shop. I chose meraki because of all the good reviews and the high quality jewelry they use. I really like that they have online bookings, and when I contacted them to make sure they would be able to re pierce me after my navel piercing closed, they answered quickly. They have a really nice selection of body jewelry, and while it’s not cheap, you get what you pay for. The shop is super clean and I felt like I was in good hands. I’ll definitely be back in the future.

I love this place! Before finding Meraki, I couldnt wear earrings because they were pierced uneven and got infected all the time. I had to let them close up. Years later, I tried again at Meraki with Jasmine, and my piercings are perfect! They sterilized everything, had a good selection of quality jewelery choices and really took the time to line everything up. I even have a cartilage piercing now with no infections or other issues. Highly recommend using Meraki!!!

Eight or so years ago, my ears decided they wouldn’t tolerate any earrings I tried to wear, so I gave up hope. When I reached out to Meraki recently to see if their piercing method and jewelry had worked for others in my situation, Kris took the time to respond to my questions and assured me I’d wear earrings again. My in-studio experience was wonderful — friendly and informative staff, clean and welcoming environment — and my ears are happily sporting jewelry for the first time in ages.

Went into Meraki today for an appointment to get my bridge pierced. I was absolutely anxious about it but Kris did an amazing job of preparing me for it as well as spending about 20 minutes getting it lined up perfectly before piercing. Spider at the front desk was awesome and even held my hand as I got it done and it turned out to be way easier than expected, thankfully 😂 Couldn’t be happier with my experience and the overall quality of this shop and the people there!!!

I cannot recommend Kris and Meraki enough. Ive literally gone three times within a month because Ive had such a good experience each time. Everything is very clean, you see proof that your jewelry went through the Autoclave successfully, and all of the jewelry they offer is high-quality. Ash explains the billing and cleaning process so well. I am someone who is allergic to most metals, and every one of my piercings has done well so far. So grateful that I found this place and I highly recommend Meraki to anyone who is looking for a place.

I got my septum done at Meraki recently.Right off the bat going into Meraki, Ash at the counter was super personable and friendly. Got the paperwork and jewelry picked out quickly. She and Kris are both very up front and emphasize the sterilization steps taken - which is definitely reassuring during times like these.I was up front to Kris about my anxiety in regards to new places/things and he was very understanding - offering to let me wander a bit and explore the studio while he prepped if it would ease my mind. We had a couple of conversations about non-related things which made it feel much more casual and eased a lot of my tension.The piercing was done quickly and efficiently. He used it as a teaching moment for his apprentice - but I honestly kind of appreciated being able to hear everything he was explaining as well. It made the whole set up feel much less foreign and unexpected for someone with very little facial piercing experience.Prices of everything I thought was fair and was happy to pay for the quality assurance of a more difficult piercing. Saw too many pictures of messed up septums from other places, wanted to make sure I was getting it done properly.Definitely had a good experience. Already got plans for going back.

Kris is incredible!! Hands down the highest quality piercing experience I’ve ever had. The whole experience was great. The quality of jewelry he has is amazing with a wide selection. His studio is also impeccable with attention to small details in hygiene such as air purifiers throughout, touchless hand soap dispensers/trash cans, etc. He also uses sterile gloves when piercing and follows proper sterile technique! I had no issues with the double helix piercing that I got from him 2 weeks ago and just came back today to get my second lobes done! Kris is also hilarious and totally eases any anxiety/nervousness about piercing and turns it into a fun experience!

Kris was amazing!! As was the receptionist who stayed with me in the room and for that I was extremely grateful ❤️‍🩹They walked through the whole process with me, told me how they autoclaved the equipment and did an anatomy check with me as well and confirmed that I’d need a floating navel piercing. I was able to pick my jewelry which was BEAUTIFUL (they gave me viable options and explained why one wouldn’t work over the other) and even though we found out my belly button is a little lopsided, Kris gave me the option of picking which “center” I preferred. He made a recommendation as well.The shop itself was very clean, it was easy to get in touch with the team and I trusted them wholeheartedly. Highly, highly recommended.

Definitely come here for all your piercings!! I had a cartilage done at another shop and they used bad jewelry. I called and Mary fit me in the same day and got it changed for me. Super nice and thoroughly explained aftercare and a healing timeline.

First experience was a consult with Kris on some existing piercings I have and discussing a new one. He really cares about his customers and keeps a super clean shop. Got my first piercing done here. They are extremely professional and kept me calm, took their time to talk to me about jewelry choices and the process of getting pierced. Everything is super clean and they have a phenomenal cleaning process for all of their tools and jewelry before it gets placed. 100% worth driving over an hour to get to them. Im not sure I will get any more piercings, but if I do, they will be done here. Phenomenal people, beautiful jewelry, clean as can be.

I would say the shop, the staff and the overall experience are probably the best youre going to get, but be prepared to pay for it. I felt a tad misled by the site as their prices looked very good for the service, but little did I notice that the jewelry itself would be so expensive. It could have just been the style I got though although I dont think it was particularly extravagant. After the service + jewelry + tip, I was around $200 for a nostril piercing. I would like to see more transparent pricing is the only thing I would change.

Being someone who is absolutely terrified of needles and pushed off getting piercings for the longest time, i’m extremely happy i went to Meraki for my first piercing! It was very clean and professional, they were very thorough with explaining the process and what was happening. Jasmine did an excellent job with my septum piercing, it was done very fast but i was informed of every step that was taken. I highly recommend this place to anyone considering getting a piercing!

Meraki is THE. BEST. I had several surgeries in the last year that required me to take out all my jewelry, and Kris helped me put all my piercings back in without charging me an arm and a leg! Compared to all other piercing places, who wanted to charge me $150+ just to put my piercings back in...I live almost an hour away, but it is 110% worth the drive.

Took my teenaged daughter for a septum. As a very nervous Mom the whole idea kind of freaked me out. I didnt want a sweaty guy from the back of a dingey tattoo shop sticking needles into my babys face. Meraki was the nearest APP studio I found, so we decided to make the trip. Right off the bat Kris was super welcoming. Everything was clean, bright and organized. He took his time explaining the process to us. One of the first questions he asked is How long have you been thinking of getting a septum piercing?, which stood out to me. You could tell that it mattered to him that she was making an informed decision and not being impulsive. He was very thorough when explaining their sterilization process, as well as carefully fitting/customizing the jewelry, cleaning, mapping the shape of her nose for placement and making jokes to keep her comfortable. Overall it was an ideal experience and I feel more comfortable with her decision knowing that the procedure was safe and professional.Definitely more pricey than the $20 holler you get at a tattoo chain, but you get what you pay for.Thanks Kris :)ETA: 5 stars to 2. My daughters piercing never healed correctly. I took her to another studio for evaluation and they told us that it wasnt pierced correctly. I took her back to Kris and while he was looking at it he said This is not a good piercing, who did this??? and I was like umm, YOU?? So mixed feelings. All of the things I said in my original post are true, but still, at the end of the day she was left with a weird piercing that even now (over a year later) hasnt healed properly because it was oddly placed (to his own admission). Bummer because I really thought we had made a good choice. Still a nice guy, but.. I mean...

I had a very amazing experience with Kris! He’s very professional, talked me through the process, and was very knowledgeable about placement. He took me in the consultation room and measured for placement, sterilized the jewelry, cleaned the area throughly before piercing me. He did such an amazing job, I was very impressed. I will most definitely be coming back for future piercings. Place is very clean too, and he only uses high grade jewelry. He takes very well of his clients, and actually cares about your before and after care. 5/5 would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to go to a piercing shop, go here!

I have a pretty intense sensitivity to regular earrings, so having titanium or niobium are really my only options if I want my piercings to heal well. I wanted to get my doubles pierced back in January, and after spending over a year waiting for my double helix piercings to heal from a different shop, I decided to find a piercer who actually uses the materials I can stand. Many places claim to pierce using titanium, but Meraki really truly does (go and Kris will explain literally everything, its crazy the certifications he has).This is the shortest and easiest healing process Ive ever gone through not only because of the metal, but because Kris explained at length what I need to do to take care of it. I went in for a check-up to get the posts from the original piercings shortened and it went smoothly and he told me they healed well.The jewelry is expensive, but if youre someone who wants piercings and cant handle Claires, I promise its worth it. He knows what hes doing, he understands what hes selling, and its good, quality jewelry.

Amazing piercing studio! I have had issues with earrings in the past but Kristopher was amazing and walked me through the different options that were available and I was able to pick some great high quality jewelry. Very professional and safe space as well as a high level of comfort during the entire process. I came in to get a navel piercing and was hesitant about the fact that it would need to be pierced through the bottom but grateful that he indicated it would be much safer to do so. I will literally never go to another piercer as long as I live in NE Ohio! I have been going to Kris since before he started Meraki. My mom wanted her first piercing, and obviously I wouldn’t let her go anywhere else. As always he was a pleasure (and always entertaining) to be around and made my mom feel comfortable as she was a little nervous. Very sterile environment, follows all COVID-19 procedures and then some, and only sells quality jewelry. I also love how user friendly the website is as I’d much rather see open appointments available online to book right on the website rather than calling in. The front desk staff was friendly and everything as far as forms and payment were quick and easy. Thanks!!ETA: I had to edit after being nosy and reading some of the (very very few) low ratings - especially since even only a very small percentage could deter first timers from trying out a business. 1) This place is top notch when it comes to quality of jewelry, sanitation, cleanliness, and experience. There is no chance of you getting an infection unless you don’t follow proper after care instructions. 2) I think some 1-star reviewers who claim Kris was “rude” or “complaining” misinterpreted his humor. This happens to me every now and again as my humor can be dry and sarcastic at times. Kris has never been anything but kind and simply humorous.Phenomenal small business and you absolutely get what you pay for!

I went today to get two earlobe piercings from the owner and he was absolutely awesome to work with! He answered all of my questions thoroughly and when I asked him for opinions on jewelry that would work well together he didnt just push his most expensive items, he gave me real suggestions and explained it and even held them up so I could get an actual idea of how they would look. He went through every step with me to make sure I felt comfortable the whole way (I am not a huge fan of needles 😅) and gave me thorough aftercare explanations. He runs a very sanitary but comfortable studio and if I ever need any other piercings or new jewelry I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this studio!

Spider at the front and Mary who did my lobe piercings were very professional. They were both clear with after care instructions and Mary took her time measuring and re-measuring where to place my 3rd holes because my 2nd are not even. They look great bc of her and I love my piercings and jewlery.

I visited Meraki just over a week ago for a triple piercing in my earlobe. They were very professional and doctors office level clean. Prior to this, Id only had my ears pierced at a mall jewelry store. Yes, Meraki was more expensive, but I think their skill and cleanliness made it worth it. In addition, their jewelry is designed specifically for piercing and it is much more comfortable than typical earrings.

From the appointment to even get the piercing to now, the service received from the the store was a 10/10 every time. I had the most bizarre experience here. The piercer heckled me from the second I stepped through the door. At first I thought he was joking, but he just kept going, and was so hostile and snide that I started to feel really uncomfortable. I ended up walking out without getting pierced because the whole situation felt really unprofessional.

I got an over priced nipple piercing from the owner who was rude, and complained about having to work the entire time. Then I took proper care of it but it caused a really bad infection my doctor said probably came from the piercer not properly disinfecting tools. YUCK!

Got my lobes done here. They did an excellent job and made the experience super comfortable. Staff was very kind and had great attention to cleanliness and safety.

When I made my appointment I specified which gauge I wanted only to get all the way out there and be told they do a gauge thats different than what the traditional piercing is even pierced with. Such a waste of time because they failed to address my note.
