Hi all!! Leaving this review now that my tattoo is somewhat healed. My tattoo artist, Tristian Comfort, was so absolutely fantastic. Executed my vision so well. He is so talented and also makes the experience very comfortable and very easy (hence his last name I suppose). Highly recommend this place and Tristian, I cannot believe this man is only an apprentice.

I had come in for a vertical labret, they were very nice, super honest (absolutely loved that) very open with what they are doing while prepping and piercing. VERY clean. I would absolutely 10/10 recommend this place! I WILL be back for future piercing and even tattoos! Thank you guys!

I couldve only WISHED to have seen these reviews before going in, got my snake bites done he had done them completely crooked and within less than a week one of them got so deeply embedded I had to go to another piercer take it out. I have to go back again now for my other side to be switched out with different jewelry in hopes of saving at least ONE of them. He was very nice and did offer to redo them, but I honestly wouldnt go back free piercing or not.

If you are looking for someone with serious talent and attention to detail, Jennifer is incredible! I spent about 7 hours with her yesterday and she did a beautiful wraparound arm piece. My arm is still a little swelled but the attached picture gives you a good idea. She captured everything I wanted in it and made it into something amazing. Thank you Jennifer!

The atmosphere and people are amazing! I had Tristan do all of tattoos so far! Wonderful person and very accommodating to make you feel comfortable before, during, and after! I also got a piercing here along with my sister and we could not be happier! 21/10 would recommend!

Excellent atmosphere. They make sure that you like the tattoo before they do it. They make sure if you want anything added to the tattoo before you leave.

Shop was very clean and organized. My sister got her first nose piercing and Brandon was very gentle and kind enough to wipe her tears. Definitely going back for future tattoos. Pricing was reasonable and overall a good experience. Also, the Shop itself was decorated with fascinating oddities. Super cool.

I found Jen at body mods threw a friend. I was looking to have some lettering done which she did flawlessly. She has done several other pieces for me including my newest Egyptian piece. Go see her and Chris the keener great artist and very good people

Brandon is the BEST! Although he did not do my original piercings he graciously took a few minutes to remove what jewelry I had in then, and with ease, replaced it with a new option I brought in with me. A professional and very kind person, I highly recommend him for all of your piercing needs!

Mother/Daughter tattoos:Tristan did mine and my daughters tattoos. This was her very first tattoo and he made her feel extremely comfortable! He took his time and explained everything to us. I came to Body Mod the other day and got a Cyberpunk tattoo done by Tristian. He took a good amount of time making sure I was happy with the design and placement, and the tattoo came out amazing! All the line work is super straight and crisp. Definitely will be back for my next tattoo!

Super knowledgeable, very clean, you can tell they all put a lot of care into their work, that the owner Chris is genuinely passionate about his craft and business, and going in is always a fun, chill atmosphere. Had my most recent tattoo done by Ty and Im anxiously looking forward to working with him on my next pieces. Wont go anywhere else and I dont even live in the area.

I got my tongue pierced here 3 weeks ago. The whole process seemed very rushed. He didn’t check with me after he placed the dot for where he was piercing so I just assumed it looked good.. fast forward to now after the swelling is gone, the piercing isn’t even.. the bottom hole is in the middle of my tongue but it is very obvious the top hole is more on the right side. Not overly happy with this experience.

First used these guys in 2014-2015 for a repair of my first tattoo. 16 tattoos and hundreds of hours. Jenn, Chris, Seth, Tyler, Brandon, have the utmost professionalism and insight without being forceful on a decision. They’re realistic with you about time involved, cost, and aftercare. I personally use Seth for my tattooing he’s a kind, professional soft spoken artist who lets his work speak for itself. The most amazing aspect is using modern technology to provide a far superior product to any of the other shops I’ve seen.Their prices are consistent. My only gripe is they’re booked for tattoos but quality is worth waiting for. Brandon the piercer has pierced my daughters ears, and a close friends nipples. Zero issues with professionalism. Everyone always exclaims “wow that didn’t hurt at all.)The shop is very nice with a kind of Victorian modern feel. With many oddities on the wall all for sale that rival a modern carnival freak show.

I’ve gotten piercings done here twice and Brandon is always the best. He explains things very well and is so kind. Everyone is very funny and welcoming.

Definitely recommend the shop! Tristian made me super comfortable and he did excellent work on my arms. He made sure to ask how I was doing throughout the sessions, and conversation with him was effortless. The shop itself is so cool with many exotic things to look at. Super sanitary too, and the artists are all so kind and friendly. I’ll definitely be going back to Body Mods and Tristian for more :)

This shop has been my favorite place to get tattooed. The owner Chris is one of the nicest guys around, and always makes my tattoo appointments a great experience.I’d never go anywhere else, nothing but great times at body mods and even better tattoos. I get complimented all the time on my work done here and always reference to body mods when people are looking to go to my artist.

Shout out to Brandon for giving the upmost information on piercing me on a vch and would definitely recommend anyone who is looking to get pierced to go to him would definitely go back to get pierced again.

I had no issue when I went to get my nipples and septum pierced. So I went back to get my nose done. Well it was pierced at a wrong angle so the stud (18g)wasnt long enough. So Instead of telling me to let it heal and come back he proceeded to make his own hoop earring at 16g OUCH!. I looked at it and wasnt happy. Stupid enough to pay for it but I am never going back. Went to another shop to fix it and heard some many negative stories. BE CAREFUL !

Stopped in for a Medusa shortly after they opened. Amazing experience. Brandon was super careful/gentle when releasing the clamp and cleaning. No bumps or snags, totally smooth from start to finish. Definitely will return for my next.

I went to get my first tattoo on Saturday, there was a little confusion with scheduling, but nonetheless it was all resolved and I got my tattoo the same time I was scheduled for. Really cool guys who do great work.

I had the best experience here. My most recent tattoo on my arm by Tristian was very well done. Very clean and definitely am going back here again!

On friday, my family went in and got their first tattoos and although i know my grandmother was very indecisive, they were very nice and friendly and helped my stepmom and aunt. Chris and Tristan made them both super comfortable and they love their first tattoos! So I walked in on Sunday although the signs said closed and they were having to fix the building due to the big storm (sorry us floridians brought a small hurricane to you 😂). I found out Chris did a tattoo for my dad almost 20 years ago and he was super friendly and pointed me to Tyler saying he was really good and would love to do my tattoo. I want to say hands down, the best tattoo i’ve gotten so far and i am so happy with it! He was so kind and even touched up one of my other tattoos where the lines were fading!! Thank you guys so much for everything and we’re already talking about making your shop a must have stop for the next time we come up to visit! You will never be disappointed by this shop!

Ive had a few pieces done by Chad over the past 8 months. The experience has been great. Everyone at Body Mods are great people, theres always a laugh to be had. I will be back in the Fall to get more work done by Chad.

The only tattoo shop Id consider going to. Every artist in the shop has their own unique style, so no matter what youre looking for theyll be able to meet your expectations. And the peircer at the shop is top notch, very through with not only the piercing but the after care needed to know sure the customers are satisfied for years to come.

Sanitary shop! Great work! Have done cover ups for me now as well and they are PHENOMENAL!Seth has become the go to for me and other members of my family at this shop and I will continue to go back here. Seth always makes sure we are comfortable, checks on us while hes tattooing and is fair with his prices. His work is INCREDIBLE! I dont want to share pictures only because I dont want our designs to be taken but trust me he is incredible! My daughters have gotten piercings (nose, second holes in ears and belly button) done by Brandon and his charisma and way to make people comfortable is fantastic. We may always walk in nervous but are fine once we are seated. I LOVE THIS SHOP AND THE VIBE THERE! PLUS THEY ARE EXTREMELY HONEST about after care procedures and things that would look good and wont. They have never just done something because we asked. If they think it wont look right they tell us honestly and help us figure out other options so we are always satisfied with the end result!

Justin did my first tattoo three years ago, and it still looks brand new. Ive gotten all my piercings there, as well. The shop is a great environment, fun people to be around. I spend some of my free time there just because I enjoy being around them. I highly recommend this shop.

Great prices and customer service! Very clean inside. The gentleman that pierced my sons ear was very clear about after care and broke down everything he was doing as far as prep and how the process of piercing would go. This helped my son feel more comfortable and not be nervous.

We went for nose ring piercings. Very professional and he did a great job. Wonderful experience.

The staff is super friendly. The shop is very clean. They show you the new sterile needles and sterile biopsy punches before use. They steralize the surface areas in front of you and explain everything step by step. They are super professional through the process. Have been coming for 10 plus years and will be coming back for another 10. Highly reccomend Brandon for a piercing!! He is a true professional, does a great job making you feel comfortable and does a fantastic job! 10/10

We stopped in to get our daughters ears pierced. They wont let you do it unless your kids want them done. Brandon was so professional and amazing with her. He explained what he was doing the entire time, and made it a point to show us that the equipment he was using was brand new. If you want your kids ears pierced this is the place to go, we will be back when the others want theirs done.

Justin, Chris, and Nate have all done tattoos on me. Nate has done 14/17 of my tattoos and Ive never left the shop unhappy. Not only do these guys do amazing work, its a really fun atmosphere to be in. They actually talk to you while theyre tattooing eachother. I tell everyone to go there for everything. I went here for my first tattoo, a small black piece on my inner wrist. The artist named Nate was rude to me and the friend that accompanied me. Additionally, the tattoo was poorly done, circles look like ovals and the tattoo is not symmetrical. This artist was incompetent. He also got defensive when I asked him to fill in a few small areas that were clearly lacking ink. Extremely disappointed. Terrible first experience. Would not recommend. The only good thing I have to say about this shop is I spoke to the owner and he seemed apologetic.EDIT: just a few weeks after I posted this review there were 10 or so positive reviews added for this shops. Im guessing the shop owners asked people to put good reviews up. If you get a appointment with one of the other guys, you might be okay. But STAY AWAY FROM NATE.

I recently got my nose pierced at Pagoda at the mall and that was a mistake. Now I know I shouldve came to Body Mods. Brandon was so informative and professional in the way he assisted me. My nose was swollen from Pagoda and he put a captive nose ring in for me cause cork stud couldnt fit due to swelling from the unprofessionals at Pagoda. If I had got it done here primarily I wouldve had the cork stud in from jump with no issues. Lesson learned!!!Did I mention, the prices $$$ at Body Mods are more feasible compared to where I went at Capitla city Mall in Harrisburg.Once Im healed I will be back to put a little cork stud in and get more work done.Thx you to Brandon and the friendly receptionist!!!!!!!!!!!

My bf and my friend went to get their ears pierced here. Just their first hole like a regular piercing. The guy that did it had them pointing up in the back and had the back going into the cartilage. Did it to both of their ears. Was pretty upset we had to go elsewhere to get them fixed by an actual professional that knew what they were doing. Wouldnt recommend anyone to get their ears pierced here.

I have a ton of tattoos ( Chest piece,1 arm sleeve and 1 leg sleeve currently being worked on) from Nate and I recommend him to anyone who ever asks me for tattoo advice, with 1 exception NO ONE does portraits better then Chris I have plans to have my Idol Patrick Swayze tattooed on me in the near future Chris is the only person whom I would ever trust with a portrait. Its also hard not to send people to see Justin I have scene some amazing work he has done and I have a spot reserved for him for some custom work. Mike pierced my ear at 8 gauge and it went perfect. All around great guys that do good work and best of all they havent let it go to their heads and they still have great prices compared to other chops in the area without giving up quality.

Whenever anyone compliments any of my tattoos or asks where they can get a great looking tattoo, I tell them about Body Mods. I just wish I had enough money to get a new tattoo every week. Mike did an excellent job piercing my sisters nose. She was nervous at first but he explained the process in great detail. Everything was very clean and professional.

Talking about personal experiences with the people outside of the shop that has absolutely nothing to do with the incredible work they do.Rumors will fly about any business, but anything bad said about this tattoo shop (and ive heard it all) is ridiculous and has nothing to do with the actual work done by the artists.Owner, Chris Bucher has made his mark as an award winning artists who has easily mastered any style but who I would recommend for realism or portraits that are nothing short of remarkable.Justin Craven has done countless phenomenal pieces in many styles, but specializes in incredible traditional pieces.Nickem although newer to the trade has found his niche in watercolor and cartoon work that is creative and beautiful.Max is an incredible piercing artist. and coming from someone with 18+ piercings all done flawlessly he among the other gentlemen from this shop are the only people I will let hold a needle to my skin.So with that said, the incredible pieces they produce, the pride they take in their work, their willingness to work with their customers needs and their ability to get along with anyone who walks through their door makes this shop the best one in the area if not the state in my book.I will never go anywhere else. I love this shop and these guys.

Great place very friendly must go to shop

Started to get my tattoo with Nickem, it was a big piece on my chest. I went thru four appointments and still wasnt finished. He like to talk way too much and didnt concentrate on his work enough to his good ole time doing it and it was still sloppy. I wouldnt recommend him. If you do goto him u better hope no one comes in to talk or is in the store because ull probably be going back for a couple more appointments. The last time i went i was early for my appointment but he was doing one before me waited 50 mins and still didnt get in, he was talking the whole time and not really being professional so i left and i am know going to Totem!

Everyone there is super friendly and chill, when my tattoo wasnt shaded all the way after healing I came back and they fixed it up for free. Respond fairly quickly on their facebook too.

Seth Barnhart did an awsome job on my tat, I would most definitely go back to him and recommend. The place could use a good cleaning in the entrance and waiting area.

I took the boyf here to get a tattoo touched up; it was pretty old. The artist was nice enough, but he went over a few lines more than needed. All in all, for the price it wasnt bad, but it isnt the body mods it used to be.

They are very sanitary and very nice and caring!!! Got my tongue pierced and he was so caring and explaining what he was going to do before he did it!! Really recommend going here!!

Everything from friendly to the cleanliness and procedures was professional and what you would want when getting a piercing. Brandon did my piercing and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
