Queen City Classic Tattoos

My roommate and I both received walk-in tattoos from Coco. He was very professional and kind! Lots of experience and good at making conversation.The whole process was a bit more expensive than my hometown artist, but I would definitely come again.

Ive been here before, but this time was disappointing. The music was loud and stressful. I was overlooked while standing in line. The artist I had is an apprentice. I know shes isnt brand new, but the anxiety radiating off of her caused me to have anxiety as well.

I have had two tattoos and quite a few ear piercings done at this location and I have been satisfied with the cleanliness and professionalism at this location and their other location. Very friendly staff!

Went in for a couple tattoos, was told by the artist that he recommended a cover up and could make it look extremely good, paid 500$ for a tattoo that looks like a toddler drew it. Highly disappointed, tried to talk to the owner and was told she dont take calls. Highly not recommended. Went to other shops and was told highly recommended to do another cover up over the tattoo that was done here.

The person was very helpful and directed us to their peircing studio.

Johnathan was amazing!!! Best tattoo artist I have ever been to. You have to check him out! My girl and I got tattoos together. I wished I had a pic of hers to add..its super cute!

I had not had earrings in my pierced ears for years. I could not get them through the hole. The people at Queen figured out the holes were still open except a thin area toward the back side and opened them up for a nominal fee. They made my day!! They know what they are doing and are extremely fair in pricing.

As usual, everyone is in a rush it seems!! Customer service in general has fell by the wayside!! Be prepared to pay for even transferring your phone data!!

If I could I would give a lower rating. My artist recently left Queen City to go to another shop and I absolutely loved her! I did have a deposit down before she left and Queen City said they would refund everyone. Well they didn’t mean everyone….since I paid in cash I won’t get a refund. They have the paperwork about me paying and also I have a receipt. I would think as a business you would want to keep people happy and hold up your policies on refunds when an artist leaves. I will never recommend this place to anyone after this

Queen City Classic Tattoos is nothing more than a miracle when it comes to getting inked. My wife and I were both inked by Jonathon Brinsfield @wearequeencity. Hes an amazing artist and pretty funny too! The vibe in @wearequeencity is perfect for getting work done. Im telling you, you want a tattoo and youre within 2 hours of Terre Haute this is where you need to come! All of their artists are phenoms!

Amazing experience for me and my daughter (6) whos ears were pierced. The salon was very clean and the staf was very knowledgeable, they explained whole processas as well as provided guidance throughout the process. Highly recommend Queen City Tattoos and Piercing.

I’ve had several tattoos from Queen City and I rarely go anywhere else!! They’re so professional and fun but they also make sure that you’re informed throughout the whole process.

They done two of my tattoos & was very pleased

My sister and I got a tongue and septum pierced by Levi, they are amazing! They gave us instructions and told us the steps beginning to end. They made us feel SO comfortable and valid in our feeling. The receptionist was also amazing with paperwork and answering questions. I will definitely come again!

Dustin did such a great job covering and adding more to my previous tattoo! The experience was great and I will come to him for future tattoos!

I personally love them. Their nice and clean. This was my first tattoo and they helped by calming me and kept my spirits up by making me laugh. My boyfriend went with me to get his done the same day! He loved it and said they have great respect and love to joke. It was our 4 year anniversary tattoos since it’s 3/3 and all I can say is staff was very friendly and happy for us. They treated us like family while we were their and I’d recommend them to anybody who would ask me where to get a tattoo or where me and my bf got ours together! Their professional. They have you file a paper with some questions they show you the layout of the tattoo. They ask permission to touch you. I’d go here again for all my tattoos. Their the best. And our anniversary tattoos where a lock and key of jack and sally from nightmare before Christmas in black and white :)

I recently lost my infant son and I wanted something to memorialize him. I went in with a few pictures of what I wanted to include in my tattoo. I came back to have it done by Sara and she had exactly what I had pictured drawn up. She was sensitive to my situation and she did an awesome job. She was easy and fun to talk with the two hours went by very fast and the tattoo was not painful she had a gentle light hand. She exceeded my expectations and I will come back to her for any future tattoos. The price was reasonable for the quality of work. The shop was very clean and had a professional atmosphere. Also they offer a free touch up in the first 6 months. The only con was one of the receptionists were quite rude in person and over the phone and it almost turned me away from scheduling a session. Other than that great place!

Got my first tattoo here, and my friend got his ear pierced here. We were both walk-ins and they had time to take care of both of us!The artist had just enough time before his next appointment to fit me in since what I wanted was super simple (just a little star) because I didnt know what it would feel like and if I could sit for anything longer. Im planning to come back to Queen City in the future when I have the funds (and plans) for something a little larger!They were also very quick and informative to my friend about what to expect for his ear piercings. I really appreciate the care they take in being sanitary and professional. You do pay a little extra (it aint some amateur at Claires with a piercing gun), but you know youre really being taken care of and that they value safety as a priority.

Staff went out of their way to help me and to draw out my idea and to fit me in last minute without an appointment and price wasnt bad. Overall I was pleased and I would recommend it to anyone. Especially first timers because the people and atmosphere ate very inviting

I got my lobes pierced and they were great. The entire experience was great from the kind staff and the calming environment.

Several great artist but horrible management. Regardless of cancelation you will not get your deposit back so do not change your mind on your tattoo or anything you want changed on it. We were dedicated customers for many years and the owner refused to work with us dispited fb messaged to the shop canceling appointment a week ahead of time and aloso messaging the artist herself!

Said they did walk-ins. But don’t do walk ins? Would never go here for a tattoo. No greeting or letting people know. They could easily told me on the phone they don’t. So no time would be wasted.

This business likes to call you family but they just exploit people. They take young fresh artists who haven’t gotten their foot in the door and promise them a great experience. But in reality they just take these kids money and go on vacations, buy cars and expensive houses. Meanwhile Carrie couldn’t even be bother to buy decent needles or help her apprentices learn how to tattoo or pierce. The artists that recently left were amazing, and Ive followed them to their new shop. My first tattoo was from the owner herself in 2018. It was simple writing(a song lyric) and it was botched. I tried to get a touch up, but she was never available. Four years later and it still hasnt been fixed. Im looking elsewhere to get it covered up.

BEWARE: GREEDY MANAGMENT WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. My artist doesn’t work there anymore so naturally you would think I’d get my deposit back or the owner would have given the deposits to the artist. And my artist had no idea either. The manager Miranda I think told me she wouldn’t refund me or give me credit for a different tattoo artist. That money is just lining her pockets. DONT GO HERE.

I went here for mormorial tattoo and the management was very hateful and rude and one if my family members was supposed to get a mormorial tattoo done and the tattoo artist hurt his 3 days prior to the appointment and didnt call until 20 minutes before there appointment and got rude about it so I dont recommend queen city for anyone to go there.

Went in to get a tattoo, staff was very friendly and nice! But the tattoo itself is very bad. I tried to use a personal font and the guy butchered it. The words don’t even go right on the banner, and he put ‘on’ instead of ‘in’. I would not suggest this place to anyone

Went in for my first ever tattoo and the staff was amazing!! I got the National Eating Disorder Awareness symbol on my ankle and it turned out exactly like I wanted! The staff seemed just as excited about my tattoo as I was after hearing my reason for getting it, which was super exciting to see. Im so happy I chose Queen City to get my recovery tattoo! I would highly recommend Queen City!!

A group of very dear friends got matching tattoos today. Queen City was so very professional and accommodating for the few (one) of the 80s ladies that were a little apprehensive. I will be getting my first one there. Such a pretty place to visit also. Highly recommended!

Just got my first tattoo and coco did amazing! Very informative with aftercare and made sure I was comfortable and executed my tattoo perfectly.I believe he’s from out of state! I’ll be back!

Just got my nose pierced here while my mom got a tattoo. Staff was super sweet, and made sure I was taken care of when I began to feel nauseated. The entire place extremely sanitary. Ill definitely go back for another piercing.

Ive gotten two tattoos and several piercings here and at the piercing studio on 13th. Never had an issue with anything theyve done, good jewelry selection.

Love this place! Very clean which is what I want from my tattoo and piercing place. The staff is wonderful and fun! You deffinently wont be bored if you have to wait either, theres so much cool stuff to look at. Even if you arent getting anything you should stop in for jewlery and an assortment of clothes. I went with my friend, Chey (Green hair), to have some piercings done. She wanted her Ashley done (lower lip). I was still trying to decide from my bridge, facial dimples, and a 3 piece set on my upper right ear. We ended up going with dermals on my cheeks.I absolutely LOVE my newest additions to my piercings. Hannah did a wonderful job and was very good about keeping things light & joyful through the process.I hope she is able to do my next set ♡

I have never had a bad experience at Queen City. Tattoo and piercing staff are professional and friendly. Highly recommend for a first timer or a seasoned veteran.

Lindy is a gifted artist, I highly recommend her. The shop carries an classic vintage interior design with professional artists.

Got my septum pierced, Not too bad prices for piercings. If you choose something other than the normal piece of jewelry, it is an up charge. They do have cleaning spray for the piercing, a bit pricey can find it cheaper.but it is convenient while you are there. There was some confusion the piercer said my daughter could stand outside the room and watch, the cashier lady said she could not and made her sit in the lobby. The piercer pushed the needle so far threw my nose it stabbed the other side of my nose and made it bleed too. Over all decent experience, might look around next time before I make a decision on a piercing.

I went in with questions about getting my husbands name on my wrist. Mind you weve been married 9 years! When I asked about it the girl up front was not very educated about tattoos. When she got this so-called tattoo artist , he automatically said if you get a tattoo of his name it is a curse and you will end up in a divorce! I dont believe in curses it takes two people to make a marriage work! My husband is my soulmate! My sister and I were appalled! We walked out of there so fast that we didnt even stay long enough to see if he could find someone to do it. They were very unprofessional and gave me the creeps! I went somewhere else the same day got the tattoo I wanted and it is amazing! I went to a very professional place with a very professional tattoo artist! My husband loves my new tattoo also and he loves me! Our marriage will last forever :-) I would not recommend this place to anyone! Also very high-priced I didnt even pay as much as they were asking!

The ladies were very helpful and pleasant... carrie did my tat and did and excellent job on it... she gave me the choice of 1 session or 2... I chose 1 session and have no regrets... she is an amazing artist... I highly recommend this place.... clean and friendly...

My daughter got the daith piercing she had wanted for a long time. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and professional. Shop is clean and attractive. Nice selection of jewelry to choose from.

Can’t complain when you get a five hour jam session the day after you schedule it. Caleb transformed a hand drawn portrait into an exact replica the next day. Was extremely impressed with the craftsmanship.

Stopped in to get new nose jewelry. The guy showed different styles, how they went in the nose and then put it in for me. He was very helpful! Will always return to purchase more jewelry.

In the past I would of given 5 stars but after my last visit I have changed my outlook the worker stripped a brand new tragus piercing I just bought from them while putting it in and I was not given the option to have it replaced by them even though she caused it to strip. It fell out a day later and they refused to replace it even though it was their fault it was damaged to begin with.

I went in to have a tattoo fixed up a bit and also colored in. I apparently got one of the apprentice tattoo artists and was not told that they were apprentice. They did a terrible job filling in as it is patchy and they colored outside the lines. This is a traditional style tattoo so they are very thick lines so I’m not sure how that happened. I paid 170$ plus 20$ for them to make this tattoo worse. The person was very friendly though, but also lied and said they would touch it up in the future, I messaged them on Instagram and they ignored the message. Very dissapointed and won’t ever be going back for a tattoo. The piercing is okay though and I do like the atomosphere.

Went in last year in april and got my tongue pierced, the girl who done it looked like she was tweking off something. She COMPLETLEY missed the dot and pierced it to far back. I couldnt fit a normal size tongue ring in but the one they put in was too long for my mouth. It also got infected and I cleaned it 3-5 times a day. I paid $30 for it also.

Was great JC done a great job and was under the quote for me and my son to get matching tattoos. Friendly and fast was a great artist. So far so good

Out of all the tattoo shops I’ve ever been to, they were the friendliest tattoo artists and receptionist that I have ever dealt with. They did really great work for a great price.

Great atmosphere staff is awesome the owners are awesome and they have branched out to a salon and piercing studio how awesome is that a small local business expanding its just awesome we visited awhile ago to see about have my husbands tattoo covered up and they were super accommodating and explained everything to us and went over some ideas plus they have really cool merchandise so stop in and say hello and check it out even if you dont think your a tattoo person just stop and get some info you may change your mind or be able to guide someone else to them!

Went here to have my daith piercing put back in, and ended up getting my nose repierced, 😆 The people are very friendly. They absolutely know what they are doing! Highly recommended!!!

They use to be top notch until they let go of their best asset, Branden Martin who now owns his own shop called SCARS AND STORIES.Branden has done work on my sister and I, my niece and my brother-inlaw. Whether a cover up or a brand new first time tat, Scars and Stories is the place to go. Expect a waiting list when you call to make an apt, which is a good sign that your artist is highly sough after.

I got my navel pierced here yesterday and it was it was fast, easy, clean, and the staff were just oh so nice to me. I’m a minor and they made it so efficient and a pleasing experience

First time getting my tongue pierced, they told me exactly what to expect, and did a great job with it. In and out in 15 minutes. Will go back again for my next piercing or tattoo.

Got wedding band tattoos, and paid $80 for the artist to put a tat on my finger that I have to cover with a ring anyway. They offer free touch u, but its worth my $80 just to stay home.

Ive only been for piercings, but I was very disappointed with the experience. They need to make it clear if youre being pierced by an experienced piercer or an apprentice, because there IS a difference.
