Everyone there was amazing! I got my tattoo back in December and it still looks amazing. I will only go back here. My tattoo artist was Siobhan and they were incredible! Their line work is amazing and was very sweet and understanding. All around an amazing studio.

Route 38 Tattoo has been by far the best experience I’ve ever had with a Tattoo shop. Everything from the atmosphere to the personable staff is unmatched.Especially Marissa who is incredibly personable. She is so great with making sure that the work is perfect - Trust me, Im a perfectionist & a tough person to tattoo - but I know I can trust Marissa to get the job done right.Walking into Route 38 is actually fun. I look forward to the hangout. And I can’t wait for my next appointment!

Absolutely incredible studio!! Had a session with Siobhan O’Connor - she’s INCREDIBLE!! Everyone is so friendly and inviting. Recommend this studio to first timers and returning tattoo lovers. This was my 75th hour in a chair and by far the best experience I’ve ever had! She brought my thoughts to life. So proud of the tattoo. It’s the most special one I’ve ever gotten. I genuinely love Rt38 Tattoo Company. They are so kind and friendly. I have gotten two tattoos from Siobhan. Siobhan is a beautiful person, and her line work is phenomenal. She also added to my foot tattoo while touching up my grandfathers writing. Siobhan made it look like it was always one tattoo. I truly love it so much!!Siobhan was also so easy to talk to throughout the time.Thank you so much for everything! I will be 100% going back for my next tattoo and requesting Siobhan again!!

One of the best tattoo shops Ive ever been to! Todd is an amazing artist and very kind. He really works with you to make sure you get the tattoo you want and always makes sure youre comfortable. The shop is really cool on the inside and very clean. I would recommend them to just about anyone!

Had a tattoo put on by Joe. It was a coverup and he did an absolute A+ job. From the second I got there, he was a total pro and just did phenomenal work. The place was spotless, and everyone there makes you feel at home and comfortable. Its only been two days, but Ive had several friends reach out to me and ask me who the tattoo artist is, because they wanna get a tattoo now because Joe did such an amazing job on mine. I cant recommend him enough. Top notch.

My daughter and I went in last week to get matching Tattoos for her birthday. We did not have an appointment but Kiley & Joe worked us in. Very poor customer service. I E-mailed, texted and followed up with a call to cancel my appointment 8 days ahead of time because I had to work that day. When I called to reschedule the said I was a no show and there was no record of me cancelling that appointment or rescheduling. They wanted another $100 deposit. What a scam. Their attitude wasn’t very professional at all. Never again will I skimp on perfection for convenience. If you have a reputable artist, stick with them even if it’s a bit out of the way. Rt 38 lost my business and that of my friends as well. Gladly going back to Jim’s. I contested the charge on my card so I lost no money, just the aggravation of my experience is something I would like to pass on for others to consider.

Got this realism piece done by Matt, he absolutely killed it and I couldn’t be happier. Would recommend this place 100%

Decided to get a a old 30 year tattoo remastered. I live near to this shop so I decided to pop in and see what they can offer. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Joe took my job and he did an awesome and amazing job. Joe took real good care of me with everything. I highly recommend this shop.

Best tattoo shop in the area. The artists have alot of experience and can give you great advice if youre not sure about a design, placement, etc. The prices are very reasonable and the shop is clean and comfortable. They really care about and back their work, check them out and let them create a masterpiece for you!

Ive been to this shop three times. Had three different artists, and each one was amazing. Minimal pain. Great people. Also great with location.and fair pricing. Easy to find and lots of room for each artist! 10/10 will go back, 10/10 reccomended for sure!

Out of the last 5 people who tattooed me shavon an rout 38 tattoos in Tewksbury is by far the best I’ve have ever had tattoo me she did two tattoos on me same day didn’t feel a thing an they were in spots known to be painful her tattoos are my favorite ones I got can’t wait to go back shavon your are gifted for real girl can’t wait to see u agin

Went I first walked I had an excellent greeting and was everyone was very pleasant. Todd did my tattoo and it came out great! I already made my second appointment and no longer have to look for another tattoo artist! They are the best and I highly recommend them to anyone looking!

Everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. Todd is a fantastic artist. He took my flat line drawing and made it a beautiful, realistic, 3 dimensional looking work of art. He and Matt both worked with me to figure out a time that would fit my schedule, and a tattoo that would fit my budget. I highly recommend both of them!

Siobhan O’Connor is so kind, talented and professional! They did SUCH clean and amazing work that I have now 4 original pieces by them! All bold, bright and clean. You could eat off this line work. I just spitballed ideas and Siobhan turned them all into a dermal masterpiece. Unrelated sidenote: Their fiancé stopped by to say hi and he is such a hunk. Wow. So handsome.

There are very nice and professional artists there. They give good ideas and suggestions to their clients, especially to those whose has not gotten a tattoo before. Also the vibe I personally got from there feels comfortable, so it was easy for me to relax as I got my first tattoo. Would recommend this place to friends and family👍

I got an owl tattoo there from Joe last week. I couldnt of been happier with the finished product. I showed him 3 photos of what I wanted and he came up with an even better one. I definitely recommend

Love my new tattoo! Clean and a fun environment. Ive been to places that I have been uncomfortable in because the artists were a bit full of themselves, but not here!! The artists are fun, humble and extremely talented. They made me feel right at home!!

Me and my bestie scheduled to be tattooed by Wallace Herrera a month or two in advance. It was both our first tattoo as well.Two days ago, our tattoo appointment finally arrived. They called to confirm our appointment the day prior and also called an hour before to let us know that Wallace finished his previous appointment early and that we could come in sooner.Once we got there, we went to Wallaces studio. He was super friendly and nice. We showed him a few design that we liked, he stepped out to draw for not more than ten minutes, then shocked us with 3 awesome designs. My friend immediately picked out one and he got to work on finding the right placement for the tattoo on her back right side near her rib cage. Once she liked the placement, he got to tattooing. Throughout the process, he checked in on her and asked how she was doing. It didnt take him very long to finish hers, about less than an hour; it was a floral piece, not more than 5 inches tall.For my tattoo, I again showed him some inspiration pictures and he came back with three designs of his own. I asked him to make some changes to some just so I could see and compare, but ended up picking one of his original three as he had drawn it in the beginning. We adjusted the placement for the tattoo just above my right ankle and he got to work. He finished mine in less than 20 minutes.After he finished our tattoos, he asked to photograph them and then gave us instructions for aftercare. He answered any questions we had and then we went upstairs to pay and head out.Between each client - when he switched from my friend to me - he sanitized everything, used new needles and ink. I watched him open brand new packaging and safely dispose of the used needle. His workspace is very clean and sanitary. He worse gloves as well. His table was covered in plastic wrap and he completely switched that out and trashed it to replace it with fresh plastic wrap between clients.Both my bestie and I are completely satisfied with our tattoos! We adore his neo-Asian art style and love the single needle art that Wallace did for us. He does clean line work and is very professional and chill. I loved that we got to talk about some of our favorite anime and talk about dogs.Ive already shared his work to some friends who are interested and also learned about Wallace through word of mouth at my local dog park. I would definitely go back to get another tattoo from him!

Great price great staff amazing tattoo

My appointment was cancelled because my artist got covid. I asked for my $50 deposit back and was told that because it was a covid related issue I was unable to have the payment returned, even though it wasn’t my fault it was cancelled. Tried calling to talk to the manager 5 times but no one answered. Then called using my girlfriend’s phone and miraculously the shop picked up right away. The owner of this establishment was unwilling to return the $50 I paid them as a college student who doesn’t have a ton of money floating around. I was robbed of my money because my artist wanted to go out and party without a mask.

The ink work is great. Really good. However, Sometimes they seem to forget appointments. This has unfortunately happened to be twice and the appointments are about 3 months wait so when my artist left and forgot about my appointments... Back to back was very disappointing. You would think they would take me right away or squeeze me in because I got screwed. Nope. No special treatment here wether its on you or not. Very disappointing

Melissa is amazing!! She cares about her work she puts out and is just compassionate and unferstanding. I recommend going to her. I will countiune to give her work and keep going back to her. Everyone in the shop is so friendly and nice..and im not the easiest person to tattoo so once u find a artist or a tattoo joint who treats u amazing stick to them !! 💚💚

As a new client receiving his first tattoo, I must applaud, tattoo artist, Maliea, for providing my first tattoo. As soon as I walked into the establishment, I was welcomed with a warm greeting that consisted of a formal introduction and professionalism. Her work station and equipment was thoroughly sanitized and organized. She was open minded and collaborative with sketching the art work, patient with creating the tattoo, and very considerate of my comfort level and pain threshold. For example, she had a knack for keeping me socially engaged to take my mind off any discomfort I was feeling, but at the time same, also attentive to make sure any potential discomfort was not too overwhelming and unbearable. She also had music playing in the background, which was soothing and relaxing, (especially if you’re nervous about getting your first tattoo). Once she was completed, Maleia made sure I was informed on the proper tattoo aftercare to prevent infection and/or irritation. Maleia’s attention to detail, plentiful patience, personable attitude and impressive professionalism made my first experience not only a comfortable one, but a memorable one as well. Maybe its just me but my experiance lacked a connection. It seemed the artist just wanted to get paid and go home. No small talk was involved, even when I tried. Again, maybe its just me but i would have loved it to be a more personal experiance rather than what I got.All in all, it wasnt the worst time. I got what i wanted and was sent on my way. Line work is okay for how small it is. The heart ended up bleeding a little and people tend to point it out often but other than that, its alright.Ill go again for a quick little walk in but for anything that requires me to sit in the chair for an hour+, Ill pass. Overall its a clean shop, not really coordinated very well, well decorated, and seems like a fun environment with the right artist. I heard Todds a blast, maybe Ill try to get in with him at some point. Who knows.Sorry for the terrible picture, I didnt have one so I took one quickly. This is almost 8 months after

Walked in and was told appointments were filled for 2 weeks. I still wanted to make an appointment which I explained. They took my name and number down and never called me back it’s now been 4 weeks.
