EPIC PLACE WITH PEOPLE, AND TALENT!!!!!, Gavin is a genius, and Angelique is so awesome! Mike was a pure, creative legend! We had 3 people with 3 very different tattoos, energy, and personalities. This place was a super clean and creative space. We felt right at home. We liked the creative flow and expert knowledge of each artist and what is recommended for our tattoos to be better and elevated. We found our tattoo home and will definitely be coming back! So many ideas, and they were very calm, creative, and dealt with my high-energy personality and indecisiveness. So appreciate the patience, understanding, and time each of them gave us. As someone who has been getting tattoos for over 20 years, this was our best experience and best tattoo EVER! Now i know where the next 20 years i will be going! Also loved when they advocated for me with my indecisiveness and what would work best with my placement. A-TEAM and the BEST experts in this industry!!!

Ive admired Mikes work for a long time and knew I wanted him to do my cover up.The first thing I noticed when I walked inside was the cleanliness of the shop. Everything in each artists area was neat and organized. The second thing I noticed was the friendliness of the staff and artists. Everyone made me feel comfortable and welcomed in the shop and there seemed to be a great sense of camaraderie amongst everyone.During my tattoo, Mike was very precise and had a vision for what it would look like. He was very chill and patient and gave me plenty of breaks. I was blown away after the first session. Even though I could still see the old tattoo after the first session, I was anxious to see how it would look after the second session. I was even more impressed after the second session and the old tattoo was totally gone!Mike far exceeded my expectations and lived up to his name as one of the top artists in the industry. I would hands down recommend anyone looking for a tattoo to go to MD Tattoo Studio. Thanks Mike!

I got my first tattoo over the weekend, and the experience was nothing but fantastic. I was there for 5 hours, and Gavin McKee was my artist. The atmosphere was very personable and professional, and they made me very feel welcomed the entire time I was there. It was nice to see all of the artists get along with each other and they were always complementing each others work; a nice work environment.As for Gavin, I gave him a few pics of what I wanted and then he took the pics and recreated them into his own design. We made a few changes and then he went to work. The actual drawing took 2.5 hours to complete, and I love it.I would recommend Gavin and MD Tattoos to anyone getting a Tattoo.

By now Ive had 4 tattoos from Mike, and he upgraded an old tattoo of mine that was completed by someone else, and were working on finishing my sleeve. This is the only man I trust to finish my arm, and its definitely worth the 2.5-hour one-way drive!Ive been with him since before the move to Thousand Oaks, and let me tell ya, he is the chillest artist; he has his craft down to a fine art and has the patience of a saint.The tattoo in the picture was my first with Mike and it came out perfect!As for the shop, its very clean and all the staff is friendly & organized. Theres always music playing in a wide variety of genres, and Ive also been asked what I wanted to listen to while getting tattooed.Cant wait til my next visit!

Came in for matching tattoos. In the pictures, his vs mine. Usually I’d go to my original artist but we were looking to try a new place with a good reputation and different artistry. We drew the design before we came in. Ani helped put everything together which was great. She allowed for myself to intervene and ask questions. Especially because they took us same day we called for the appointment we were pleased early on with the service. She was to do both of our tattoos. I had an artist named Gavin ask after the conversation and final construction of the tattoo was completed. If he could tattoo me at the same time. Not thinking how he wasn’t part of the conversation I agreed. Risky obviously but if you ask to tattoo your heart should be in it so I was thinking it was a confident move so I agreed. Well definitely got nervous immediately watching him mess with the attachments. The tattooing was quiet but not an issue although it’d be nice if you cared what and why you’re tattooing. I had to point out a few mistakes and jagged lines I’m surprised an artist wasn’t able to see unless he was (playing dumb.) He tattooed Roman numerals instead of a lettered symbol. The eye is not centered nor appealing. He finished my tattoo faster than my friends who started 15 minutes earlier which scared the hell out of me looking at it but I ran over to compare and she gave him pointers to make it better mostly make it bolder. After it was finished I asked what his rate was and they said they had different rates but because it’s the same tattoo they with keep it the same price. Getting the cheaper tattoo I still paid 460$ and this goes on tv as I’m a professional fighter. He was looking for a quick buck and the front desk lady was just looking to help make that happen. This tattoo was about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. They definitely didn’t take pictures of mine though did take pictures of his for a reason.

I want to start off this review by saying I am 100% coming back here for more tattoos and more piercings from both of these artists. They did SUCH AN INCREDIBLE JOB ON ME TODAY!!!! I used to live in Hollywood and go to this place called iron and ink, but when they closed down forever, I didn’t really know where to go… I live in Malibu, so I knew I needed to go somewhere close. I looked up online where the best places are and I interviewed a lot of places, but they didn’t seem right. MD Tattoo Studio turned out perfect. From Amelie at the desk helping me check in and acquaint myself, to Shelléy piercing my double helix very easily with little pain to Ani creating a beautiful tattoo tribute to my grandmother who just passed, every moment was perfect. I 100% trust these talented artists and all of the incredible staff here. They made it very welcoming and they even took great photos of my work after it was done! I think anyone who’s looking for a PERFECT tattoo or piercing should come here. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it…! You should always want to go the best people because it is a permanent modification to your body!

I got my very first tattoo done by Damon, although we didn’t get to finish (I ran out of time as I’m a mom so duty calls) but I go back at the end of September to finish my portrait!I absolutely loved the shop, and Damon with his attention to detail in making sure to honor my beloved pet Patches who passed away in July.He’s very kind, easy to talk to, and I’m absolutely in love with my tattoo so far, I can’t wait to see the finished product!

Amazing artists, good vibe, and a really nice shop. Got tattood by Mike, and he doesnt disappoint. All of the other artists are friendly and chatty, all with amazing portfolios. When you find a shop this nice with artists like this you can stop searching and just make an appointment.

I had a great experience getting a tattoo from MD Tattoo Studio. Getting an appointment set up was really easy, and the booking receptionist Rebecca was very helpful. I was tattooed by a lovely artist named Ani. She was professional and kind. Her work was done fast and was exactly what I was hoping for. She was already set up and ready by the time I arrived. The shop was very spacious and clean. I will definitely be going back for any future tattoos. Highly recommend.

The shop was very nice and clean. All the staff was kind and professional. I did a lot of research and picked Larkin to do my tattoo. He took the time to work on the design and draw out a design that was better than I could have imagined. I gave him creative liberty as I really liked his style. I love my new tattoo and would highly recommend both Larkin and MD.

I had all my tattoos done by Mike and am really happy with them! The vibe is great, people are nice, and you can trust them to perfection!

Got my first ever tattoo here at MD Tattoo Studio! Ani was the artist assigned to me after my consultation and she did amazing! She was very informative of after care, super gentle while actually doing the tattoo it didn’t even hurt, and honestly works really fast but still provided a quality tattoo (which i appreciated!)Besides the great artist, MD in general is very clean, open and welcoming. Everyone is so kind, even if they aren’t tattooing you.I will definitely be coming back to MD for the rest of my tattoos:)

Mike is the bomb! He is very patient and would spend a couple of hours making sure we had the same vision of the tattoo before he started.He has a expert sense of the customer experience and suggested breaks, bought food and make my 4 day journey the best it could be.He has a great sense of artistry, using the skin as a canvas and making the needles and color bring out the best. His demeanor is so kind and caring that you feel like you are hanging with your best friend.You can’t go wrong with him!!

I got my first & second tattoo with Pedro. My artist, Pedro, did a fantastic job making both stencils, and getting the colors as close as possible to the picture. MD is a really cool place, clean, sterile, and the tattoos are reasonably priced. Id recommend saving, as the size and time can make tats a hefty price tag. The staff is polite & friendly. They have up to date equipment, easy parking and freeway access. I highly recommend getting their Wipe Outz & butter after the tattoo to help with the healing process. MD is truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend checking out these artists and overall shop!

Kyle from MDTattooStudios absolutely took care of me throughout my first tattoo. Would not have asked for a better person to be my artist for what I was asking for. The attention to detail in the piece is outstanding and it came out better than I could ever hope. Absolutely would recommend the quality and artists at this studio and look forward to coming back!

I went to Gavin who did a beautiful bouquet on my back of my daughter’s birth month flowers! It was my FIRST tattoo and I was pleased with the whole experience/process from start to finish!! MD Tattoo studio is hands down one of the best tattoo shops I’ve been to and had the pleasure of getting some artwork done. The attention to detail is honestly unmatched. Got some work done by Mike and honestly the best in the game. If you haven’t had a chance to check out his work or any of their other artists make sure you do if you’re thinking of getting something done, youll be blown away with what you’ll find, the shop has a wide variety of artists so no matter what you’re looking to get you’ll definitely find someone that fits your aesthetic . The shop is super clean with a dope ambience and vibe to it, a ton of parking, great area, if by any chance I go to any other shop, it’ll be because I moved out of the state or country other than that this is home base, I mean you’re getting something that’ll be on your body for the rest of your life so why cheap out? Best in the game frfr .

Mike and his crew are top notch.My wife and I have both gotten Tattoos from this location. I wanted a tattoo of my dog that I lost a few months ago. Mike knocked it out of the park .Ani did an amazing flower / butterfly tattoo for my wife. (Her first tattoo)We both felt very comfortable at the shop. Great experience! Gavin was an amazing tattoo artist and made the tattoo as painless as possible! Loved the work he did and it was at a fair price. Loved the vibe of the shop too. They play movies on the side walls to give you to look at something while they tattoo you, super chill.

It was a great experience from beginning to end. Gavin did my tattoo and it came out so beautiful I’ve gotten so many compliments and people asking me who did it and where. Gavin is very good at detailed tattoos so if you like leaves and florally tattoos he’s your guy he also loves doing them!! Every artist there is mad talented so you can truly go to anyone and get something beautiful out of it!

Gavin was amazing. Clean, busy shop. Lots of clients which made me feel good about my shop choice. Comfortable environment. I am not much of a talker when Im getting ink done and there was no pressure to talk and Gavin was great at letting me know what he was doing and what work was left. Definitely will be back.

Ive gotten tattoos all over the country in many different studios with many different artists. My tattoo experience at MD was hands-down the best one yet. The studio is immaculately clean and the artist I worked with was talented and friendly. Ill definitely be coming back for another Tattoo from Damon.

My daughter (32yrs) & I (58yrs) went to MD Tattoo over the weekend to get our first tattoo! Weve been waiting to do this for years and now that shes moving out of the country the time was right. We both had work done by Ani who was the absolute BEST! She made the whole process painless, her fine lines are crisp and her detail work is so impressive. The shop itself was bright, clean, comfortable, great tunes and everyone was friendly. Ive already started plottin on a sleeve layout for my birthday. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Amazing experience.

The shop was very clean and it was a very friendly, welcoming environment. My artist was Kyle, he was very professional and kind. The tattoo came out fantastic. It is a very sentimental piece to me and I am glad I went to MD Tattoo Studio to get this done.

Got my 2nd tattoo from Angelique at MD and the experience/process was great, the outcome of the tattoo just stellar. She really worked with me to get the design down and made sure it was how I wanted it before that first poke which I appreciated a lot. I recommend her and this shop 1000% if you want a quality tattoo to show off proudly!

We have been coming to MD Tattoo for years. (We actually drive 5 1/2 hours to be tattooed). It is extremely clean and beautiful. My husband gets worked done by Mike Devries, his work and attention to detail is amazing. I recently was tattooed by Ani and absolutely love her work! I would first like to start off saying that the new MD Tattoo studio is a one of a kind tattoo shop. The establishment is modern, clean, and the perfect space to feel at ease while getting tattooed. I had the pleasure of Kyle to do my arm and I will say that I’m blown away with the skill that guy has. The picture of the piece proves it. Will never go anywhere else to get tattooed period.

Had a Great and Amazing experience, from arranging an appointment to accommodate 5 of us, to the completion of our tattoo appointment! Receptionist greeted us with a very inviting smile, chatted with us during the whole session. We all felt very welcomed and enjoyed our time with our artist Ani Lok, she’s very light handed and does freakin amazing work! We are very much looking forward to returning to MD for our future tattoos, and will definitely recommend this studio to all family and friends!

Nothing but amazing things to say with my experience with Kyle Devries. I first walked in for a consultation for a large cover up. I had searched for the best tattoo artists in Ventura country and Los Angeles to make sure I got this large piece done right! Kyle Devries exceeded my expectations and enlightened me that there were far more possibilities for cover up artwork than I initially thought. I was under the impression I had limited options due to the size and color of my previous tattoos. His knowledge and talent of tattooing has opened up the possibilities of a sleeve tattoo I’ve always wanted! In the time spent talking to him it was obvious that I would go with him based off his knowledge and skill. In the 14+ hours spent communicating and sitting in his chair my expectations continue to be exceeded and I am more confident and more excited each time I get to work with him. You should always be confident to trust your artists judgment. I look forward to working more with him and seeing all the great work he has in store for me!

My daughter and I called on a mid Wednesday afternoon, we each wanted a tattoo, her a new one and me a cover up. Jim Parchen was willing to take us as walk-ins. He is definitely one of the best artists out there! He helped her find exactly what she wanted and his work on my cover up was beyond my expectations! Jim is meticulous and very detailed. All the artists here are top notch. Making an appoint was very easy for my nerdy Nintendo tattoo. If you want the best realistic tattoo Mike will make sure that what you want is placed perfectly and more importantly, will make sure its done beyond your expectations.

Ani Lok was super professional and did a beautiful job. My bad for not asking for the price before being tatted, as I was charged $150 (!) for a tiny shooting star (smaller than 1 cm in size). Wont be doing that mistake ever again! Thanks Ani, you were brilliant.

The shop is fantastic and the staff/artists are super talented and friendly. Everyone offered help and opinions on my designs and the best location for the tattoo. Spencer the artist was awesome. He devoted tons of time setting the size perfectly, deciding the best colors to use and once it came to tattooing he was both brilliant and fast. This is the best studios Ive ever been to. I highly recommend them.

Heard great things about Katelyn Crane a tattoo artist @ MD Studios and emailed her several times about an appointment in three weeks, obviously she is super popular! My day came was so excited!!! I get there and she double-booked but it all worked out I live near so I just came back. She was apologetic and very professional, I understand having crazy days. The fact that she is so busy is a sign of what a great artist she is. Took my obscure ideas and created a beautiful Rose in memory of three friends I lost this year. Really took her time in both drawing and coloring working late to get me in. She also let me pay in two installments which was super considerate. I highly recommend her. Loves her work and loves the social aspect as well. I want another tattoo in the next year and will be visiting again. Thanks Katelyn!

Been to several tattoo shops and MD is in a different league. True artists and worth the price. My first tattoo here was from KC and the last 3 from Daniel. I couldnt be happier both are great artists. Although i dont know everyones names they are all friendly and the work I have seen is true body art.

Two months back I got a tattooed in Hollywood, to be blunt it was horrible. I hoped the tattoo would look better after it healed, I was deluding myself. The tattoo was washed out and was a complete failure at photo realism . After searching for a new tattooist I walked into MD tattoo’s and made an appointment with Kyle. He promised me that he could fix my terrible tattoo.He fufilled his promise. He went over the whole tattoo completely, It is beautiful now, so vibrant. I can not believe the work he did fixing the portrait. I thought it was a write off. I was wrong, it actually looks like the subject matter. I am super happy.I have been hiding the tattoo, embarrassed by it. I can’t wait for this to heal now so I can show it off.The price was very reasonable for the quality of the work.Thank you Kyle.

Great shop and very clean. Matt was awesome working with me. He came in on his day off to tattoo me and drew up some awesome designs. Unfortunately right before we got started I had to leave for an emergency. He was very understanding and caring. It’s a great shop full of great artists
