Jersey Sure Lines Tattoo

This is my first professional tattoo experience. Other than a stick and poke I got from a friend when I was a teenager this is my first real tattoo and the experience was amazing. The staff was very nice and informative, everything was clean as well as organized, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Jay did my artwork, its his own design and he was phenomenal. Id like to say we had a great time and I enjoyed the conversation we had during the process. Overall I give 5 stars for professionalism, good people, and an incredible Skull tattoo that went above and beyond what I asked for or what I expected. I cant put into words how greatful I am and Ill be recommending you guys to anyone looking for outstanding work. And another shout out to Jay, thank you so much. Youre the man!

As a tattoo virgin being inside a tattoo shop for the very first time (really) with a group of best friends who have sleeves and such getting a group tattoo by an artist I personally dont know (the go-to artist of one in the group), I was nervous and excited.Upon arrival, Toni immediately welcomed me and comforted me with excitement. As the group of 7 finally formed, our artist Jay captured all of our ideas and presented them to us, allowing for any adjustments prior to the tattoo process. He was welcoming to feedback to his drawings and made us all feel excited with the sketch results.It was a very long day. Jay and staff allowed us to be ourselves in the waiting area as we all took turns. Before and after every person, Jay made sure to sanitize and clean and prep. When It was my turn, Jay talked me through everything before, during, and after. Friends were around to keep me calm but at no point did I feel a need to panic. It was about as good of a first time I can imagine getting a tattoo.We were all given the bandage and clear instructions. At no point was anyone confused of the process leaving the tattoo booth. At the end of a long day, he took time again to make sure we were all on the same page and the next morning we all received a text reiterating the steps just in case.I hear stories of swelling and bleeding and so on immediately following a tattoo and I experienced none of that. Maybe luck? But Id give Jay the edge as not a single person in the group had any problems with this tattoo session.If youre new to tattoos and want to feel comfortable, Jersey Sure Lines is definitely the place to go.

Very nice people and very accommodating. Everything was clean and neat. Nice vibe there. Mike did my tattoo and did an excellent job bringing what I wanted to life and he is very nice. I’m a senior citizen and I felt very confident and comfortable with him. Excellent work. A very good experience. Please note the posted picture is still in the early healing phase and it looks great and is healing fine.

Amazing!!!! My husband and I both get tattoos from Jay. He does amazing work. Everybody there is extremely nice. The shop is very clean. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

This shop is the best in Ocean County, hands down! Jay has done a lot of work on me... fine line black and grey to more traditional color pieces. He did little mini color tattoos on my hands that healed so good. All his work heals amazing. Always have fun at the shop and enjoy hanging out with everyone. Clean professional and the work is the best!

Tl;dr: This is THE spot for ink in NJ hands down.Initially went to check out this place after a friend got work done that came out fantastic. Knew after a short conversation with Jay that he would be the guy for my next piece. After seeing his freehand work on a difficult coverup, I knew I would only be seeing Jay for all my future work. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and prides himself on running a clean and drama free zone. Good luck finding an artist out there who will proudly show you pictures of their healed work months/years later (with no filters!), but Jay will gladly do this. Too many shops in the area dumping ink into people to take a filtered shot for social media which looks great day one but looks like a faded mess weeks/months later. After getting multiple pieces done here, I can say it’s always a pleasure hanging out at the shop and checking out the work the other fantastic artists are doing there as well. After getting multiple tattoos from multiple shops in NJ, I can safely say you would be silly even considering getting ink done anywhere else.

Just was in there today to get a grim reaper. I must say jay has out did him self with the tattoo I received. Im in love with it. Also a shout out to the rest of the staff for making a a wonderful and welcoming environment. I just found my new tattoo place

I would recommend Jay and Jersey Sure Lines Tattoo to anyone looking to get a tattoo, whether its your first or your seventh, a cover up or a portrait.For a little bit of background, I am a graphic designer and have always been hesitant about getting a tattoo because of my nit-pickiness and also my paranoia of not wanting to step on another artists toes. But the design I had in mind for my first tattoo was extremely sentimental and also featured elements that I know can be challenging so I had to be sure that I had the right artist. And after speaking with Jay I was more than reassured in every aspect of the tattoo process.By the time we placed the stencil, Jay had put so much time into the design and it was far more than I could have hoped for. He took elements from my Twilight Zone pinball machine and turned it into a show stopping half sleeve that not only honors my late father, but is also a technical masterpiece. I am beyond proud of the final tattoo and my experience with the shop overall has been absolutely wonderful. I cant imagine going anywhere else!

The second I walked in everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, everything was done very professionally and clean. All equipment was sterile and made me feel comfortable. My tattoo (by Jay) came out perfect!

Found these guys on Instagram and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been going to Jay for about 3 years and I am the most indecisive person when it comes to placement and let me tell you he is patient, gentle, chill and just overall amazing. The hospitality the moment you walk in through those doors just makes you feel like home. Everyone a part of the shop has become family and I could never imagine going anywhere else to get my tattoos.

I had just got this tat 2 months prior from a place that i would never recommend to anyone, so while I was on vacation in Jersey I did some research and found this shop with their amazing ppl . My artist was Jay and he fixed my tat the way it was supposed to be and even added the things that were missing now instead of being embarrassed I can now show my tat with pride bc this was exactly what i want I would recommend anyone to go here they are great. The first pic is the horrible work from the other place and the next 2 pics are after Jay fixed it.

Honestly I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Jay did such an excellent job on this tattoo it came out way better than I was even expecting. Everyone I know was super impressed and I can’t stop looking down at my arm. The place had a great vibe everyone was super chill and most importantly the tat is incredible. I recommend 10 times out of 10.

I decided on a whim to get a super meaningful tattoo yesterday so I called Jersey Sure Lines in hopes to get in last minute. They got me in same day and were super sweet and attentive to what I wanted. When I arrived they were friendly and welcoming. The facility itself is adorable and clean with good vibes all around. Jay was wonderful! From drawing up something even better than I expected, making sure placement was absolutely perfect, and NAILING this gorgeous and sentimental peace for me! I couldnt Be happier. I’m not going to lie…I cried a little when I got in the car because of how perfect it came out and how much it meant to me. 10/10 highly recommend!!

First of all walked in to a very clean, comfy and cozy environment! All the staff, Jay, Toni, Nick and MJ the shop apprentice were very extremely polite, attentive and knowledgeable. Nick was my tattoo artist, he walked me through the entire process in great detail making sure to answer all of my questions no matter how minor! There is never a lack of conversation for Nick is very personable and easy to get along with and funny AF! I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for outstanding work and a comforting environment.

Great shop.They pay attention to customers needs and the detail work is AWESOME.Jay the owner has done a 15 hour project on my arm that turned out great. Clean shop and Jay takes all the necessary steps to ensure you are safe as well as all the instructions necessary for post tattoo care.I dont do well with saniderm so he has another method of wrapping and caring for my work.He has been doing this for many years and his knowledge is unsurpassed.

I had two incredible experiences with Jay last month after 16 years away from a tattoo shop, scared out of my mind, afraid of the torturous pain I remembered from back in the day. Jay and his awesome wife Toni quickly put my mind at ease, and they were right - the delicate fine line style he does so perfectly is not anything like the unbearable pain from long ago. He helped me plan out my designs exactly how I wanted them, and absolutely blew my mind with the quality and microscopic details. I easily wouldve expected to pay a fortune for his artistry, but he was beyond reasonable! In fact, hes worth a lot more than he charged me, in my opinion. This guy is UNBELIEVABLE!!!I absolutely recommend Jay with the utmost appreciation for my two beautiful Catholic tattoos (St. Lucys in Newark, and the Blessed Mother Mary). He is a true pleasure to work with and you will be so happy you found him! I researched artists for 3 full months and couldnt find anyone else who was that good at the fine line style he does. This shop is amazing and a contender for best shop in ocean county in my eyes. The staff is not only crazy knowledgeable but also caring and clean! The artwork is top notch and they know how to apply color that is vibrant and lasts!I had a very big & badly done rib piece that I was embarrassed to take my shirt off and show. After years of looking for a shop to fix it, I finally found the guys at Jersey sure line and Im never changing shops again. I now love my tattoo as they didnt cover it but literally transformed it into what I wanted it to be in the first place. Only I didnt know how to fix it & they came up with the artwork and delivered a great piece Im proud to wear. Seriously, give this place a shot you wont be disappointed.My piece is still in progress. 5 sessions down now. If you know tattoos, the ribs hurt and being a bad tattoo originally, it came with a bunch of scar tissue. This time around it hurts that much worse and Im only good for a few hours at a time. Again the guys here are awesome and dont make me feel like p*$$y for taking quick breaks & doing shorter sessions. Top notch all around.

I’ve gone twice in the last week both tattoos done by the owner jay and I’m in love with them. The shop itself is super chill and clean it has a very welcoming vibe to it. Jay took amazing care during both sessions I was a walk in both times.

I was in need of a new tattoo artist so I came in not knowing what to expect. I met with Nick Nacca and he was able to schedule me an appointment within a month. He beyond exceeded my expectations with his linework, attention to detail, and ability to create the contrast between the graffiti style and realism portion of the image I wanted. He also seemed as enthusiastic about my tattoo as I was. I definitely have found my new artist. Also the shop is exceptionally clean, theres a great atmosphere, and the rest of the staff was very friendly.

Jersey sure lines tattoo has one amazing artist! Jays work is unique, his lines are clean, his shading is impeccable! His shop and is clean and safe. He takes his time, he makes sure the client is nothing but happy, and he takes pride in his work. He recently did a very important and meaningful tattoo for my son. He listened to what I wanted and it came out exactly how I envisioned it, absolutely beautiful!

I came here once for friday the 13 and was not expecting to love this shop so much. Jay is so talented and his wife at the front is so amazing, they are both so down to earth and it just makes you want to keep going back. Such nice people, a beautiful shop, amazing work he does. I’ve been wanting a new tattoo for awhile, so when this shop opened up down the street from our house, we were very excited! My husband stopped in as they were opening and said the owner and shop were amazing. We’ve both been tattooed by many artists and this shop was by far the most comfortable and welcoming of all the shops I’ve been to. The owner and his wife are so easy going and kind. He not only drew up a tattoo I was planning to get but also did another for me that I wasn’t intending to get at that same time. His attention to detail and crisp lines made me wanting another tattoo right away. Will definitely be going back when I figure out what tattoo is next! 😁

Jay gave me my first tattoo seven years ago and a few more after that, the first one he gave me was a bar code it’s still so clean that it looks like it could’ve been done a month ago. We are now working on a sleeve and watching him freehand draw with the sharpie truly made me feel like a canvas watching a master artist at work, the way he was so into the lines and listened to my ideas and perfectly fit them all together was simply amazing. So far it’s just the outline but I can tell already it’s going to be one of the most amazing tattoos I have, hard to top the others he’s done. Jersey Jay is the best!

I would recommend this tattoo place to everyone . I recently Just got my first tattoo . I didn’t know what place to go to and everyone has been to many other places . I did my research and decided that this place was the right one . I went in to make an appointment and they were very friendly and worked around my price range . Jay made me feel very comfortable and he was also very gentle. The place was very clean. I love the way my tattoo came out and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it . Im so glad I came here for my first tattoo!!! They were really nice and understanding with getting me scheduled. I recently had a name cover up done by Jay here and let me tell you I am impressed. You cant even see my old tattoo and the new one looks like a portrait that you would hang in your house. A whole sleeve done in a few hours and it looks like a masterpiece, loved the service so much I made another appointment while I was there, the best in the area hands down!!!

Jay is good at what he do ! I gotta admit there’s not many people good at giving tattoos ( portraits ) to dark skin people in this area. His work was way better than expected, being that I didn’t know him ! I highly recommend him at this point
