If you live in upstate NY, or the tri state area, or even the north east for that matter and you get tattooed anywhere else, by anyone except from my dude Thaddeus Katras then you are Fu@*%ng up in your tattoo game. Thaddeus is professional, communication is 10/10, shop is super Clean and kept up, chill environment, 10 out of 10 for Thaddeus’s playlist that was on during session, professional manner, artistic talent 10/10 had an 8 hour session, Overall Vibe was 10/10 session couldn’t have gone smoother, aftercare info was top notch with the tegaderm patch, tattoo is basically 90 percent healed after 4 days of keeping patch over fresh tattoo. have another 3 appointments booked over next couple of months and then will post updated review with pictures once the sleeve is complete!! Thaddeus /kings ransom has my business for life. No joke. Thanks again Thad, looking forward to our upcoming appointments! I appreciate you dog!!

Thaddeus is an absolutely brilliant artist with an acute attention to detail. He really strives to give you the best work possible and can picture your vision of the piece you want in his head better than you can describe it. He has done a sleeve on my left arm better than I could have imagined. I walk out of each of our sittings blown away and extremely happy. I can not wait to start the right arm. The shop has a very cool atmosphere and is impeccably clean. I could not recommend it enough.

John handled my appointment with such patience and care. He really went above and beyond, and is an extremely talented artist. The shop itself is immaculate, bright, clean, and inviting. The environment overall was super relaxing, and I will certainly be returning to John for my next tattoo!

Getting my first tattoo was something that I looked forward to for a while, but I never expected to have it done in such a comfortable atmosphere.From the time I contacted John at Kings Ransom they worked with me to create the perfect design. I was impressed with the pre-session prep experience led by Thaddeus and the time they took to ensure the stencil and placement was exact.Great environment, awesome music, chill vibes. I have been tattooed by Thaddeus twice, both times have been great! I have come from Philadelphia both times, it is always worth the drive. Very high quality work. His new studio is well put together and laid back. Highly recommend!

The shop is extremely clean, its very modern and overall has a very professional atmosphere. Ive been going to thaddeus ever since my 18th birthday and my family has been following him around for much longer. He is an amazing artist and definitely worth the money lol. The other artist there Blaise is also a great artist, I havent personally gotten a tattoo from him but the work Ive seen him do is amazing. Overall I recommend this place and these artists to anyone wanting a clean and amazing quality tattoo!

Been with Thaddeus for over 7 years, best work in the capital region by far! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for great quality and a clean environment. I have a full sleeve of flowers and he’s working on a leg sleeve. 10/10 recommend

If youre looking for an unprofessional artist, Thaddeus is the way to go! His art is great, but his attitude is something to be desired. Hes got that tattitude going on. He shows up when he wants. As in an hour, sometimes later to his appointments. Apology for it? Not from him. He has you send pictures of what you want but then doesnt use them, so youre sitting there even longer while hes Googling and drawing things up. Thankfully, hes not charging you for that. When he finally starts tattooing hes constantly stopping to text on his phone or whatever else it is he does. By the time youve been there for 6 to 8 hours, he barely has anything done. For $300 an hour and being there for 6 to 8 hours, youd think youd have more than a couple lines placed on your body. Not with Thaddeus. 2 stars for his art. Lack of 3 stars for his tattitude, professionalism, and arrogance.

I won’t bore you guys with a bias opinion of how I feel about this tattoo shop. Anyone with half a brain can see Thaddeus is significantly more talented than your average. Let alone anyone in the area. The shop in its self is a clear indication that he’s invested his life’s work into creating an upscale environment for your to enjoy. And lucky for you… you can enjoy your tattoo far beyond the shop doors. For life!
