James was extremely knowledgeable and honest, which I respected. He came in and repaired a previous tattooers mistake off the clock. Then gave me sound advice for new work I wanted moving forward. I’m grateful I was able to work with him and based on the previous artist I wouldn’t have returned, but I will now thanks toJames.

Bree was amazing!! My niece was super nervous about getting her ears pierced, but I know I couldn’t have picked anyone better to do the job. Bree was extremely kind and patient through the entire process, you can truly feel the love she has for her job. She also tapered my helix and got a beautiful piece of jewelry in there. I couldn’t be happier with the results!

Very upsetting that the two people who ran this place so professionally were simply tossed aside.These reviews are quite misleading as Bree and Kevin are no longer working in the shop. The work seen from the current owner and piercer is not responsible and does not appear to be properly trained. Please use caution when choosing a reputable shop for your body art, improper piercings and tattoos can lead to serious infections and permanent scarring and the potential to not be able to fix the piercing in the future either.

My boyfriend and I got pierced here by Rosie, she was great! However, newcomers be aware that most of the reviews are of piercers that have since moved shops!

This was my first time in this establishment and let me start off by saying it wont be my last. I was a walk in and Bri was amazing at making me feel comfortable once I entered through those doors. I was able to get my tattoo sketched and put together and done that same day by Josh whom let me say was beyond amazing and I walked out if there very happy and with a great looking piece. Go to this place and trust me you wont regret it. Ive been to a few places and this place has topped them by far. Let me also mention that the entire staff that works there is amazing but I will definitely be having Josh be the one to tatt me up. Please note that my tattoo is fresh and still has the saniderm bandage in this pic but even then its fire🔥

I cant even begin to tell you how much I loved getting my tattoo at Rock City. Every step of the process, from my initial consultation to discuss design to the actual tattooing itself, was absolutely perfect. I even have a short follow-up scheduled three weeks after my appointment so they can take a look at my ink after it has healed and to go over areas that may need some touching up. I get a real kick out of talking with people who are passionate about what they do, so my hours in the chair with Kevin just flew by. Im a relative noob (this was only my second tattoo), so Im sure I must have been asking the most ridiculous questions, but everyone in the shop seemed eager to share their expertise. I dont know how many more tattoos I will be getting, but there is no doubt in my mind that Ill never go anywhere but here.

Let me start off by saying that I was more nervous than my five year old daughter to get her ears pierced than she was! Amazing would be an understatement to describe the work and patience that Bree had shown my daughter! I would highly recommend anybody with a small child requesting them being done to go to her! She is so knowledgeable and just all around a great personable piercer! The first one went great second one took well over an hour to talk my daughter into letting her complete the second hole! Bree stayed calm and friendly to my daughter the ENTIRE time and did not rush her at all! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my daughters dream of having them done come true! She is sooooo happy with them and can’t wait to see you again (to change them later on)!

Kevin is the best artist. He had already done a tattoo for me of Disney Stitch that I had dreamed of and made it perfect. I came for a consult with a close friend for a sentimental tattoo knowing he was the perfect artist to come to. Kevin is so easy to work with, creative, wants to create WITH you, and loves what he does. Highly recommend him.

I got my ears pierced by the insanely talented Bre and absolutely love my new Bat and Dagger additions. ❤️ She is so knowledgeable and professional and was able to work around my existing hack job piercings I did in study hall when I was young and dumb in highschool. 🤦‍♀️ Ty Again Bre!! Bree is THE BEST piercer!!!! She is very knowledgeable and knows what she’s doing. Got two piercings done and she’s hands down the perfect piercer in town or even CT for that matter!When I went there for my first flat piercing, I was so scared. Bree took her time with me, explained all the details, did breathing exercises with me, talked me through the whole process, checked on me every second if I was okay and I felt the least painful pinch ! Went here to get my belly pierced by Bree! She is knowledgeable, clean and will walk you through the process every time until you’re comfortable. Rock City Tattoo is my new favorite tattoo shop in CT!First, let me say that I, myself, have not yet been tattooed at this establishment. However, my son got his first tattoo here. I would like to get tattooed in the future based on my and my sons experience at this shop.This shop is extremely clean. The tattoo artists and the piercer are ALL very nice, accommodating, funny - and all-around great people. It was an enjoyable visit.My sons tattoo came out very nice, and with it being his first tattoo done in the summer months and his working with grease and oil in an auto parts shop during that time, it needed a little touch-up. Josh, his artist, is extremely talented and did a great job on my sons tattoo. His station, like the rest of the shop, is very clean. He took the time to prep and speak to my son about what he wanted with his tattoo, which was a simple rose for his nonni, who passed away when he was just 6 years old; this wasnt just a first tattoo, but it is also a meaningful tattoo that more will be added to in the future, so placement and size was of importance and was done perfectly.Up front upon entering, they have offerings of unique art and jewelry available for purchase.

Josh did an amazing job on a wrist cover-up that I have been wanting to get for a while. I am very happy with the service, and I will be back to get more done in the future!

Went in for a nose piercing. Not sure of the piercers name but he was very nice and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable.

We had the honor of being peirced by Bree. She was super awesome. Very funny, very polite and very informative. She was the most professional person Ive ever seen in any tattoo and piercing establishment. Shes always keeps the area very clean and walks you through what and why shes doing what shes doing. The environment is always clean and well-maintained, which makes for a really pleasant experience. Great customer service, they took the time to answer all my questions and listened to my request. Both me and my daughter got pierced here. My daughter is 10 yrs old and terrified of needles, but somehow, the piercer took her time and walked her through it. I highly recommend getting pierced here. especially if you have little ones. I also love my nose ring placement.

Shes extremely professional, walks you through all the steps, and makes sure 110% comfortable and ready before she does her thing. On top of that, shes a great person in general, as friendly as they come and we always have great conversations. I always leave already planning my next visit. 10/10 recommend!

One of my daughters wanted an industrial piercing, while the other one and myself wanted to get matching tattoos. Bree and Kevin were both phenomenal in performing their services. They took time to explain the entire process, including aftercare. Kevin was able to work out a unique tattoo idea for us, based on multiple ideas we brought to the shop. We all are super happy about the end results, and can only encourage others to try for themselves. If we decide to have future work done, this will be the only shop we will use. We recommend Rock City Tattoo without hesitation.

Got my sternum tattoo done here by Josh and I’ve sent a photo and his @ to everyone I know. Line work is beautiful and it honestly could not be more perfect. Took about 1 1/2 hr and the environment is comfortable and welcoming. Was an amazing experience in comparison to other places I’ve been before and is most definitely gonna be my go to from now on. Josh did an amazing job 💯 very reasonably priced too so that’s a plus

Bree is INCREDIBLE! The whole shop is!! If you want something done right, go here!!! Theyre also very LGBTQ+ friendly!I was looking for somewhere to get my other nostril pierced, knowing it was definitely requiring someone to do it right to be even. I also have always wanted an industrial bar, but feared my ears were too small. I reviewed Rock Citys piercing highlight reel on Instagram, and noticed Bree was very talented.I went in for my appt with Bree (same day I called!), who instead of just dismissing me, took the time to look at my ear and measure if I could do a bar. We were able to do it! She even took the time to find the smallest size bar to put in my ear, and custom ordered a size for me for when we switch the jewelry. Not to mention, she took the time to align my nostril piercings, even taking pictures for better side by side comparison. She is patient and kind in making sure youre emotionally ready for the piercing.Ive never had so much fun in a shop! Bree and I laughed and joked around the whole time. She took the time to explain EVERYTHING to me: all the pieces on the piercing tray, what she was going to do, aftercare, etc. She does things right! I had an absolutely amazing experience here! we called ahead and made an appointment for me and my friend. she got her conch done and i got just a simple first lobe piercing. Bree pierced both of us. she was amazing! she walked us through exactly what she was doing and was super friendly. i ended up passing out and she was so sweet and caring. she made sure i was okay before she took us back to the counter for us to make our payments. she was so professional and really knew what she was doing. also, it really wasn’t expensive at all! i had an amazing experience and i will absolutely be going back in the future!

I called about 2.5 weeks ago and the lady on the phone had a very bad attitude as i was asking about scheduling with an artist who (not to my knowledge) had left. was very rude and unprofessional. i still dont know where my artist is and tried to pass me off to a new piercer, which i was very uncomfortable with.

I got my fourth tattoo, a honeybee behind my ear, at rock city earlier today. My experience at rock city was the best tattoo experience I have had. After having subpar experiences with three other tattoo shops I feel I have finally found a shop that operates at a level that respects and values their clients, provides amazing results, and values customer experience over anything. Bri was an amazing person to be greeted by and I had pleasant conversation with her while I waited for Kev to prep the station for my tattoo. The pair allowed me to come in as a walk in after store hours and still provided beautiful work in an astonishingly quick amount of time. Even after Kev had finished my tattoo, he assessed my other tattoos which I was unhappy with and offered a cover up plan for the next time I come in. My experience at Rock City is what I wish for everyone who is wanting to get a tattoo. I will be coming back for future tattoos and highly recommend Rock City over any other tattoo shop in the Manchester area.

I’ve never been to a business that has such a wonderful staff that all work so incredibly hard & care so deeply for their clients.I got my nose pierced with Bree back in 2021 we have kept in touch ever since and I still get all of my jewelers there! This past month I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and couldn’t get my nose ring out by myself due to how it had pushed into my face from the crash - it had literally indented into my skin and the jewelry had bent from the impact. The only person I knew I could trust to get it out safely and not only be patient but save the piercing was Bree; she took her time to make sure I was comfortable (as she always does) even though it was a very painful removal. I started to tear up a bit from the pain and she kept assuring me we were getting closer each time and reassuring me of how well I was doing. I couldn’t be more grateful to have met her - she is a piercing angel. She’s so knowledgeable about what she does & absolutely loves it as well, I will never go to get pierced by anyone else.10/10 will always recommend Rock City Tattoo ♥️

The woman at the counter was extremely rude to me, customer service has gone so far down hill.EDIT- I walked in about a week and a half ago looking to schedule with my artist and when I was inquiring about scheduling I was rudely told my artist doesn’t work there anymore with no information and treated poorly for asking such questions. Very upsetting, no good communication whatsoever, more like what I asked made me an annoyance. Very unprofessional

I don’t ever write reviews but this one is a must! My 6 year old who has a sensory disorder as well as other things has always had a problem around other people, but had finally decided to pierce her ears. I was fully expecting a different outcome from her getting one ear pierced, let alone both. Bree was absolutely phenomenal with her, I’ve never seen my daughter as calm as she was in a completely new, intimidating environment. I was and still am completely shocked at how well my daughter did with both piercings. Bree walked her through every step which is a huge thing to her, and asked for her permission before touching her each time. If it wasn’t for her being incredibly patient and kind I don’t think my daughter would’ve gone through with it. She is absolutely in love with her new earrings, going around showing everyone today her ears! Thank you so much Bree! Also, fantastic job on my double nose piercing I’m feeling it 😎 I will be coming back for more in the near future.

I have never had a piercing so well explained to me, a more experienced piercer, or a better piercing experience than I did here. Bree is not only an accredited and thoroughly certified piercer, she is also one of the most patient and funny people I have had the pleasure of talking to in a while! She thoroughly explained every aspect of my septum piercing, reinstructed wound care that I have as a medical professional when pertaining to piercing specific care, ran through a variety of options to make me more comfortable with the timing, and (though she was undoubtedly overbooked due to her popularity) had a genuine connection and conversation with me. I can assuredly say that I will be coming back as soon as my next piercing idea comes to me! 10/10 excellent service and I absolutely love my results!!

I went in about a year ago to get my daith and tragus pierced by Bree. She did an absolutely amazing job with the piercings, they were about as painless as they could possibly be, the jewelry sits perfectly and looks and feels amazing. When it came time to switch from the jewelry I used to heal, to the creative pieces I liked, I asked Bree to order an earring from a supplier she had never used before. We thought the piece was made entirely from black metal, but it turned out a small portion of it was black paint. A few weeks in it started chipping and my piercing kept getting infected and Bree had me go in to switch the jewelry to something even cuter that she knew wouldnt cause problems. Since the switch everything feels fantastic and is beautifully healed. I cannot wait to go back. Ive already got at least 3 more piercings I want her to do. Shes amazing and does amazing work!

My daughter had her ears repierced by Bree. She was wonderful about discussing some skin trauma from an earlier piercing, and really took her time to explain each step. She was a great listener about our concerns. Well happily go back again!

Great experience - Bree, the head piercer is very knowledgeable, friendly, and made me feel comfortable as she talked me through the entire piercing process (prep, start to finish) and answer all and any questions I had. The piercings (I had a double helix done on my right ear) were fast, painless, and professionally done. The choice and quality of the jewelry for my piercing was excellent. The pricing was good as well. I have and will recommended this place to my friends and family. They also do tattoos as well, which will be my next experience with them soon!

I had been wanting to go there since moving here in 2019 but COVID hit and I didnt get the chance. One of my friends got to go before me and her experience was exactly what I thought mine would be! I went on Saturday. I was there at 11:57am and because I was so nervous, I thought they would be closed since they opened at noon... NOT!! Bre was at the counter seemingly waiting for me! She was so bubbly and full of life!! She coached me through the entire experience (I got the top of my ear, and one lobe reopened and a new lobe pierced) all while training someone. I had also never had a piercing without a piercing gun! Anyways, I could go on and on but let me just say that if you want a piercing, check out Rock City... THEY ROCKKKKK!!!

I came to Rock City with two friends and we all wanted ear piercings. Bree was super nice and answered all our questions thoroughly and explained each part of the process before beginning. It was a really great experience and I would definitely return if I ever wanted more piercings.

I love Bree. Shes so kind and she is so patient. When i went in for my first piercing (tongue piercing) i remember being so nervous. She calmed my nerves and made sure i was 100% comfortable and that i knew what she was doing the entire time. She’s also really good at making good conversation.

2 sessions with Kevin fixing 15+ year old tattoos. 3rd appointment scheduled for an original. If he can fix whats broken flawlessly and beautifully, then i cant wait to see what hes got planned for my next one.As for everything else: clean place, great hygiene, welcoming with great and hilarious conversations, yet professional. Rock City Tattoo is great. Kevin did an original design for me, touched up another old tattoo, and then did a coverup/fix of a third tattoo. All came out great. Very happy with is work. Staff is nice and they are very accommodating.

Very friendly staff, their piercer Bree is fantastic at what she does. I got my eyebrow done and she took extra care to line it up perfectly, and talked me through the process. Very easy environment to feel comfortable in so don’t worry if you’re nervous, they’ll help you and be there for you.

Heres how it went down. I walked in off the street and lucked out to get Josh. His style matched what I wanted, realism. I brought my own art, kanji I did 20 plus years ago. He was nothing but respectful in that regard. Then he took my bullet, hook and blade concept and used the hook to to frame the jaw line of a skull and whipped it into a BANGER bullet, hook and blade skull and crossed bones.100% legit as far as all expected safety and cleanliness concerns. The second skin is also an awesome product. The shop is great, very professional and clean. Enjoyed the music, chatted about the 90s music with Josh and the other artists there.Not one bad thing to say. What Josh did for me was 🔥.THANKS

The staff at Rock City are AMAZING. They all happen to share my wacky sense of humor so this is a major pro. In all seriousness though, they’re very warm and welcoming here. I saw James Rosa for the second time to begin my second set of tattoos with him and I seriously couldn’t ask for a better artist. He’s very very good at his craft, but he’s also very personable, and respectful, and so are all his colleagues. I would highly recommend rock city tattoo!

I have been going to see Bre for a little over a year now. I started with my nose pirecing and recently got my cartilage done. Bre was awesome both times with fully explaining what she would be doing and talked me through the whole process so I knew what was happening and no surprises. I have sensitive skin and have been having issues with finding a hoop that works for my nose and Bre has been fantastic with my trial and error process! With all honesty I was a little skeptical having a female artist but there is no doubt that things worked out the way that they did so that we would end up with Liza B. doing our tattoo(s). I appreciate Bre! Even after my piercing 2 months later she still takes care of you. I have an irritation bump from the mask all day bc I work in a Drs office. She made sure I was good and healed. I got my conch pierced by Bree and her warm personality helped ease my anxiety, I always get anxious before a new piercing. She explained all the do’s and the Don’ts, very easy to understand! The piercing looks beautiful. No problems with the piercing or jewelry. She was also able to order me a CUSTOM daith earring!! The jewelry is such nice quality and is so beautiful. I went in to go over design with Kevin. He listened well and wants to make it better. The receptionist was the most helpful…she not only helped me with scheduling, she listened and even offered to special order some gauges that I need. So far I’m impressed but the tattoo appointment with be the big test.

I just had a tattoo done yesterday at Rock City. Kevin brought my tattoo to life in not only the exact way that i wanted, but even BETTER. He also made sure that i was doing good the whole time and even got me water when we took a short break. I was really happy with the whole experience i had there and i’ll be going back in the near future for SURE. I’m wicked stoked about my new tattoo and i cant wait for it to heal. I would definitely recommend going here if anyone is looking to get work done.

Friendly, professional and very conscious of what thier customer wants. Being at thier studio, is more like being amongst friends than a business. But they are very professional and make sure that you get what you want, not what they want.

No appointment needed just went as a walk in and waited about an hour to talk to james rosa and 45 minutes later I had my new tattoo! James was so easy to talk to, funny and kind!
