Ivyee was amazing she explained everything. Her process. What she was doing. When she was doing it. She was very conversational which was very nice and calming. She was very precise with my piercing placement so that it was perfect.

Joe is wonderful. He got me in pretty last minute, and Im beyond happy with the way my tattoo turned out. Hes very capable, clean, no nonsense, just a great down to earth tattoo artist. I went and got my nose pierced, it was my third time because a previous shop in vincennes messed up on my piercing. The piercer at Black Rose, Ivyee, was amazing let me pick out my jewelry, she bent it to an L-Shape for me when I asked if she could, and she was very patient with all my questions! Definitely recommend, will definitely come back for when I get another tattoo or another piercing !!🩷

My 1 hour trip here was definitely worth it. My daughter had a bad experience when she got her ears pierced for the first time so she was scared the second time but the girls who work there were very sweet and made it where she wasnt so afraid. The service was fast and it didnt take her long at all to pierce her ears I was very satisfied with how she did things and was very explainable on the cleaning process and everything if you wanna get a piercing this is the place to go.

Deb was awesome! She is really great at making you feel comfortable and at ease and explaining everything during the entire piercing process, so you know exactly what to expect. Very professional and the absolute sweetest. The shop in general is very clean and had a really nice vibe. All the other people that work there that I encountered were awesome and so nice! 100% recommend and I will absolutely be back!

Friendly atmosphere created by the people that work there, and I’ve never felt more welcome somewhere. I have had nothing but good experiences at Black Rose. Deborah is a amazing piercer, and has been piercing for years. She makes the process simple and easy. Makes sure you know how to care for the piercings, and devotes her time to the aftercare of your piercings by allowing everyone to contact her outside of business hours with any questions. She also puts a lot of time into jewelry orders to make sure her clients are getting the best around, and she even takes time to help people with custom orders. Joe is an amazing artist. He doesn’t hassle you on price, and gets down to business. Is open to many creative ideas, and he does an amazing job helping people’s ideas become a piece of them forever. When I got tattooed by Joe, he focused on how I wanted the tattoo and making sure I was satisfied with it every step of the way. It’s sad to see some reviews that just say the place is “trash” with no actual bad experience on the review. I will always go to Black Rose because they are people that are dedicated to you and your body modifications. I’ve gone to them since they had opened and watched them thrive, and it’s the most amazing growth I have witnessed.

This business is a hidden gem! My mom and sister were visiting from out of town for a very short trip. The three of us wanted to get matching tattoos. After calling two shops in evansville and a very rude encounter at another local shop, we stumbled upon Black Rose Tattoos. Every staff member was sooo welcoming and the atmosphere was nice and chill. The artists were efficient, clean and professional. They got all 3 of us inked and on away with in 2 hours. I will be returning and highly recommend.

The people leaving one star reviews on this shop’s page are upset over personal reasons having to do with their incompetent friend failing to give enough devotion to an apprenticeship, and struggling with illiteracy. Though they are unprofessional, the people involved in this shop are not. It’s sad to see people who lack accountability and immerse themselves heavily enough in he said/ she said to attempt to tear down the hard work of others. I’ve witnessed this shop’s progress from the beginning. It’s awesome to have body modifications of this quality finally available in Vincennes. Joe has an amazing sense of humor, is great to talk to, is highly attentive to your ideas, but most importantly he is willing to get creative to ensure you have an individual piece of work that meets all of your standards. Deborah has been piercing since high school and will be present through every step of the process in your session. She’ll double check with you on every decision, and listen to your ideas of how you want your piercing to look. The jewelry quality is the best in town, and if you’re like me that can make all of the difference in the permanence of a piercing. Not to mention there’s two cute apprentices around to address nearly any question and concern you have, if a main artist is not immediately able to assist you. Check these guys out, they care about what they do, and they’re changing the game in our area. (:

Very friendly homelike atmosphere, I took my daughter to get her septum pierced and Deb done amazing, explained everything she was going to do before she done it and made sure we understood how to do aftercare to prevent any problems. Also gave us her number in case we had any questions after we left or after hours. I done my research before we chose Black Rose on all the places in Vincennes that done piercing not only on google but word of mouth. I just want to say just because a place is cheaper doesn’t make them better . I am so glad we chose Black Rose and if my daughter ever talks me into another piercing this is the place we will go. There has never been a time when I went into Black Rose that I didnt feel welcome. Joe does excellent work and does it in a very timely manner as well. Deb is one of the best piercers I have ever known and I would trust her completely. This shop is by far anything but trash. Two of the best people I have ever met work there and youd be missing out if you went anywhere else!

My wife and I went in to get small tattoos and the guys in there are great. Customer service was better then any other tattoo shop I have been to. The guys are super friendly and are actually interested in what you are getting and are excited to do it even if its something small. The shop is very clean and Welcoming.

I have full trust in this shop that your piercing and tattoo will be everything you want it to be. If it’s not, we offer fixes for free. We understand our clients and want everyone to leave satisfied even if it means owning up to any errors made and fixing them promptly. Subjectively, I enjoy our artists art and I know the high quality work he puts in it. We are clean and sanctioned and follow guildelines set by the health department. When joe opened this shop he worked one on one with out Vincennes health inspector(Madelyn Moon) to ensure that we meet every standard. Joe has worked hard to create a high quality and safe shop. Deb works almost everyday showing amazing customer service to our clients and her piercings are unmatched. I know as an apprentice here I will one day be as good as she is because they are not rushing my apprenticeship and when I start they will know I’m ready !

Andrew is phenomenal. Amazing to talk to, relate to, and an all around amazing perfect. His work is gorgeous! Hes beyond talented! Cant wait for more work from him! We both have a few ideas!!

I’ve been both pierced and tattooed from this wonderful establishment. Both experiences were nothing short of amazing. Joe and Deb are both very customer satisfaction oriented. The best professional, clean, and safety first shop around.

My girlfriend and I came here on a date and got matching tattoos and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Joe had our tattoo drawn out the next day and I love how it turned out. He never hustled us on prices and we were in and out in no time. Everyone at the shop was friendly and I have no doubt we’ll be back for more.

Went to get my helix repierced because it closed up from a different shop and Deborah was so amazing! She made it painless, quick, and easy!! I HIGHLY recommend for piercings!!

Just went in to check about tattoos soon. Wanted to scope it out for myself. Clean look, smell with killer, huge dark leather couch 4 feet inside. Countertop cash regiter 5 feet past couch. Display cases to the left of cash register area. The guy I spoke with was very courteous and apparently knowledgeable with his job, career, business (we didnt discuss if he was the owner, but he seemed as if he could be. Wearing a mask himself as well as most people in there. Didnt go looking around past that. He made me confident enough to go back when Im ready (with the cash) to get a $200 tattoo on each shoulder. So hes got $400ish coming from my pocket...whereas I cant say that about...ya know...other places Ive been in near me.

Andrew Wagner did my tattoo.He did a great job. Very good artist with a feather light touch. Very pleased with both of my tatts!

Went just to change my jewelry ended up coming out with a new piercing lol usually how it works but extremely friendly staff they dont rush tou to make a decision or the process either. Definately would recommend. Prices are great too!

I advise YOU to take any negative ratings into total disregard...the owner had a contract with an Artist that put more work into bashing the studious ratings, than actually working in it.Black Rose is CLEAN, Professional and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I saw that my friend post a picture on Facebook about his new tattoo it was so awesome I wanted to get on so decided to go find Andrew Wagner and he gave me the best tattoo ever and more they are very friendly I felt like I was at home
