What a cool shop. I got a few tattoos from Forrest in one sitting. They are perfect and beautifully done. Such a nice guy. Very reasonably priced shop. 10/10 recommend.

Jon doesn’t talk much but worked for me since i’m not a conversationalist. His work is perfect and my tattoo came out exactly how i imagined it, and i asked for a lot of variations too. i pay attention to fine detail and his lines are really good. i will be back for another tattoo if i visit Hawaii again

This is my main tattoo shop and I get a lot of work done here. The guys are great and they bend over backwards to help people. They dont have a piercer on the days I go. They take a lot of walk in appointments. I definitely recommend making an appointment and following good tattoo etiquette. They are slightly cheaper than the average shop in Honolulu. The quality of the art is very high.

American made tattoo has been my all time favorite tattoo place! The atmosphere is great. My artist was Forest. He was super chill and great company. Super talented guy and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted! I would highly recommend him!

Forrest was awesome. Mom and I came in on the final day of our vacation to get permanent souvenirs and we are both so incredibly happy with his work. I got a traditional style piece and its more than perfect. Mom got a simpler more timeline style and its so clean! Thanks again Forrest, youre amazing!!! ❤️

I got my very first tattoo done here by Shawn. He did an Amazing job he was very nice and made sure I was comfortable and let me take breaks.I on the other hand was very nervous lolMy tattoo was a mix up of 2 different tattoos I liked and he did a great job drawing up what I wanted. I love how it turned out. If I ever get another tattoo it will be with him. And he works very quickly so even though mine had detail and color he moved fast and to get it done.

Forrest and Brando can throw, both are some awesome dude and have trusted them both with my leg. Super happy with the results

I got my elephant tattoo done here by Roland, he was amazing and super friendly. Everywhere else quoted me $800 for it and I got it here much much cheaper. I am absolutely in love with it. I will be going back to get a few more before finally leaving island

This place is amazing! i went in on a Sunday afternoon and asked them if they could do my first tattoo they asked to see what i wanted and was like sure just come back in an hour. An hour later i was on the table getting my first ink! The tattoo artist Roland was awesome to chat with and made it super comfortable as he did my tat! kept asking me if i was ok and took his time with the detail! i couldnt be happier! i cant wait to go back! i would recommend this place! super clean and friendly!

Popped in to get my helix pierced and Emma was fantastic! So sweet and accommodating. The entire staff was just wonderful and the shop was extremely clean. Highly recommend American Made Tattoo!

The work was amazing, my artist Andy was fun to talk to and professional. i came in with the tattoo design and they were ready in less than 20 minutes, i would recommend this shop to anyone who asks me about a tattoo, and i will be going back for more.

I had the perfect tattoo experience. Andy is extremely professional. People dont care how much you know until they know how much you care. Andy cares. Hes humble and gives his full attention. I was so impressed with my tattoo that I thought it was a decal. Perfect job and a perfect tattoo. The place is clean, presentable, and has a light atmosphere. Andy is the man! Thank you, brother! Got this tattoo back in January of this year. I walked out unhappy. Lines are crooked. Maybe because the stencil wasn’t on right?(second pic is stencil) I asked about it but he said don’t worry. I knew I had a bad feeling when I saw the stencil come on my skin. After I saw the finnish, I was hoping MAYBE it’ll heal better somehow. I’m so sad about the sun because it was the most important piece. It’s the sun from the Filipino flag. There are some raised skin/bumps in some areas. I think the artist went in too hard and gave me some scars. Second photo is what the stencil looked like.

The morning after getting my tattoo I was able to see the outcome of a clearly shaky hand. The line work is some of the worst I’ve ever seen in my life. Nothing against the shop, but not only am I unhappy with the work it’s going to cost me a significant amount to have it fixed, and will most likely need to be reimagined. The last picture is what I wanted the first two are what I got. I would not recommend this shop for abstract or straight line work.

As a woman entering a traditional American tattoo shop, I was unsure of what to expect and hoping to be treated with respect. Isaiah went above and beyond to make sure that I felt safe and comfortable, offering me privacy for my session and treating me with dignity every step of the way. His demeanor is calm, his hand steady, and he also allowed me to lay peacefully and quietly during the process (as a neurodivergent girl with sensory issues, this was a true gift!)But the very best part?? My tattoo is GORGEOUS!!!! Thank you Isaiah! I am proud to wear a piece of your art for a lifetime 🌺🤙🏽❤️

Not too bad but overcharge as much as they can. Theyre lines are some crooked sum are Ok, just look into this place before you go there. There are better places on this island.

Ive been tattooed all over the world and Hana at American Made is one of the best Ive ever worked with. Killer artist and knows how to tattoo my skin without tearing it up. Shes also super fast!!

My husband and I were both walk-ins and they were able to get us in right away. They were very friendly and did exactly what we asked. I just got small writing on my wrist but my husbands was a little more detailed. It was fairly priced too, being Hawaii...keep that in mind. If you want quality work and friendly staff....I highly recommend this place.

Did my Friday the 13th tattoo here and they were really nice and the tattoo came out amazing. I would recommend forest as he’s very nice and easy to talk to. He did my husbands tattoo and did a little freehand too and it turned out awesome! I can’t wait to get tattooed by him!

No integrity and not military friendly at all! I went in to discuss a large back piece that incorporated a cover up. I told them I’d be going TDY for 30 days 3 weeks from the date I went in and left the $100 cash deposit. They assured me they could have a design done up and the first session done prior to my leaving. The artist (Hana) sent me one text a couple of weeks later, just prior to me leaving for my trip asking what I wanted. They didn’t respond to any of my text messages I sent in reply to their text. They also refused to return my deposit despite the fact that they clearly had not done any work on my drawing. I would not recommend these scam artists at all.

My boyfriend got a Red tattoo done here. The woman that tattooed him there sacred him. His “Tattoo” is literally just scaring. He went back to tell them and they denied everything. Saying that he didn’t take care of his tattoo and basically that it’s his fault. Even the owner was disrespectful and said that he had been tattooing before he was even born. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a tattoo

Awesome work, and pretty laid back atmosphere. I got a Polynesian half sleeve done by Frank, it took a couple sessions but its definitely the best tattoo Ive got and I cant wait to show it off back home when I get out of the army. He charged me only $600 total when the other tattoo shop down the road quoted me over $1000! The place is pretty hard to find, tho. You just gotta look for Boston Pizza and Liberty Tax and the tattoo shop is right there. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Me and several other people went to get tattoos and Shawn and Forrest did a amazing job wish I lived in Hawaii so I could get more.There was a little wait but was totally worth it was treated like family definitely recommended them ......

I got my conch pierced and nose stud changed to a hoop. Both piercings were hoops with no closure or ball to keep them closed and both piercings ended up getting stuck in my skin and having to get cut out….$90 down the drain and now I’ll have to get them both redone if I choose to go that route. 👎🏼

Great place. Came in and asked about 3 small tattoos for 2 friends and myself. Andy got us in with in an hour of us just walking in and finished all 3 in just about an hour. Great work, great atmosphere, and great team!! 10/10 would go back

Came to ask for a simple tattoo. Had appointment throughout the day so they said maybe not possible. Perfectly reasonable, save they said theyll call me back in a few hours just in case. So I waited but never got called back.

Amazing service.Very good with understanding what you want and not doing their own things as I have seen happen to so many people who go to small time hacks. I will go there again for sure already planning my next tattoo!

Ive had three tattoos done at this place and these guys are awesome! I have a Koi, peacock and a in memory of tattoo for my sister Angel who passed away and you know what these guys dont just put anything on you! They put what you want. And if your not sure you can pick from a variety of stuff they have on display or they will even go on the internet to look up things! They also show you what your tattoo is going to look like so that you can make changes or get to tattooing! So that being said I really would suggest this shop to anyone! So just to let you guys over there at the Tat Cave you guys ROCK!

Called to get a price for a nose piercing for my 13 year old daughter- who is an honor student- The jerk who answered the phone proceeds to tell me the as a parent how could I let her get a piercing, 13 is too young. I am not asking for your parenting advice or how dare you tell me how to raise my daughter.
