Jude explained each step clearly and used sterile equipment, which I really appreciated. The piercing itself was quick and relatively painless, and Jude provided thorough aftercare instructions. My artist guest spots here because it is a handicap accessible shop and I am in a wheelchair. The owner Vanessa is so kind to allow him to do this and the atmosphere is so chill and very accepting of all. The other artists are so talented and also open and kind creating a very friendly space. Everybody has a great time and goofs off with one another but all take their work seriously. Please go there and get a tattoo or piercing, you won’t regret it. Plus they have an awesome shop inside of pride and oddity items. Always a good time looking through.

Last week I had an appointment with Tiffany. I wasnt sure what to expect, and I was so impressed! The space is gorgeous, filled with art from local artists. The artists were all so friendly. And most important of all, the space was spotless. The counter girl checked in on us multiple times through my session to see if we needed water or anything else, and I really appreciated that. And Tiffany did a phenomenal job on my tattoo. I live two hours away, and I am already planning on going back for my next one.

This shop is very unique and great. I first found Tiffany through my neighbor and decided to have her design a piece dedicated to kids. I loved it so much I have gone back and I love what she has done so far. I cant wait for her to finish this piece. Tiffany, thank you so much for all the amazing work you have done and will do.

Love the environment of this shop, the oddity shop in the front and tattoo shop in the back is an awesome setting idea!The front desk girl was very helpful and welcoming. There was a large t-shirt selection which was surprising. They have a wide variety inventory. I would definitely check out this new business.

Got myself and daughter piercings today. I cannot say enough good things about Jude. Everything was explained, jewelry is high quality and aftercare explained well. After having a negative experience at another tattoo shop with piercings, this was a complete opposite. Very positive and very friendly. Professional and efficient.

Very clean shop. Highly impressed with their professionalism. Jonathon did a wonderful job on a hand tattoo for me. He took his time and developed a design even better than what I had wanted! He is very polite and an all round personable guy. Very steady hand and great artist! Will definitely be having him work on all future tattoos.

Stopped by on a walk in Wednesday and the staff was efficient and attentive. You can tell they take great pride in their shop and the customer experience. I worked with a guest artist, Ethan, who took my idea and made it unique. It healed beautifully and I get positive comments continuously.

I wanted a cover up on an old tattoo on my back and wasnt sure if I wanted to go back to original tattoo artist or try someone new.I passed The Painted Fox several times on Main Street and saw a few of other peoples tattoos that were done there.So finally to check them out. I contact them and as for one of their artist who did cover ups. But they were booked up.I was then referred to another tattoo artist at THE PAINTED FOX named Myles/Cali. GLAD he was available.I explained to him what I wanted and even took him a picture of part of what I wanted.He sat with and we together put together a BEAUTIFUL tattoo. His work is outstanding and JUST like I wanted. MY love for Butterflies was the accent of it ALL.MYLES did an EXCELLENT JOB. AND I cant show it off this Summer !!I have given his name to family and friends for tattoos. And I will probably return for him to do another in the future.

My sisters and I got sibling tattoos and we would definitely recommend you get your next tattoo here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. August is amazing, he helped us through the whole process of choosing a design. He was very patient and never complained about all our changes. Would 100% get another tattoo with August.

I had a tattoo done by Tiffany in August of last year and I absolutely love it. I was from out of state so I couldn’t find the studio and I was worried about being late for the appointment but one of the artists waited outside, and waived their hand until we could find them. All of them were very sweet and kind. Tiffany was patient about the design of the tattoo and how I wanted it which was very calming for me lol. I love her work and I would 100% get something done from her again if I ever found myself back in Virginia.(Plus the vibe and interior of the place was so cool)

Best experience I had in a tattoo establishment. I was seen by Jonny as a walk in about a month ago and he made me feel so comfortable and welcome. He was excited to hear about my tattoo and helped me finalize my design in the best way to show it off on my body. I appreciated the hospitality and cant wait to get any future tattoos there.

From the moment I walked into the studio, I felt welcomed and at ease. Super cool place, good vibes. Appreciated that the human behind their IG account reached back out to me after I had inquired about any guest artists who might do more American traditional (a lot of the folks there do more black and grey).Came out to the shop to see Heather Hagood and she did not disappoint. Heather was really fun to get tattooed by and provided a really safe environment. She took my ideas and produced something super rad, all while making sure I was happy with the design. Super light touch and still made sure multiple times throughout the session to make sure I was comfortable. She was a visiting artist but hopefully she’ll be back soon!! Thanks again

This shop is such a cool place. Very cozy with all kinds of interesting things going on. John C in the back is my artist. We are currently in the process of a major cover up that other artists I have asked have either told me to black it out or have it removed. John immediately jumped at the challenge and we worked out on a piece together. After the first sessions there was a remarkable difference and after the second, the old tattoo is hardly recognizable. We have a few more sessions to go, but in my opinion this will be one of the best cover ups I have ever seen. Also he’s a good guy.

Absolutely love my piece that Vanessa did for me. She really put her creativity in to my tattoo and I can’t stop obsessing over it. I loved all the plants in the space. It really gave the spot a purifying feel and the energy was so clean. This is a tattoo shop that Warrenton really needed. Tiffany did an amazing job on the seashells I wanted on my ankles, taking the time to redo the stencil so it aligns just right. I definitely appreciate the attention to detail. Her fine line work is very detailed and spot on. I love them! Thanks again ❤️

If you’re looking for incredibly talented tattoo artists, an eclectic array of items and oddities for purchase, and the most welcoming atmosphere then The Painted Fox Tattoo and Oddities shop is for you. The store is wonderful to look around and has something for everyone between handmade jewelry, candles, merchandise, tattoo aftercare and other goods you can’t go wrong. But where the shop really shines is its tattoo artists and the culture there. Everyone is welcome and when you walk in the shop you feel at ease and at home. I personally worked with Vanessa on my sleeve tattoo. Her fine line floral work is absolutely incredible and her ability to merge and blend the florals with other elements in the tattoo is amazing and the final outcome is simply beautiful. I cannot recommend The Painted Fox Tattoo and Oddities more. I’ll definitely be back for more tattoos and to check out the ever changing inventory in the shop.

I have received several tattoos from Brittany... she is awesome! Best hands in the business, super-light touch and exceptional shading; you can tell Brittany is not just a tattoo artist, shes an artist in her own right. My best friend and I got friendship tattoos and I honestly had the best experience. Jaylee was AMAZING! She was so friendly and understanding about what we wanted. I have spent time with the staff at The Painted Fox both in the shop and outside of the shop. The people are all very kind and personable. Not only do they do tattoos, but they also have vendor displays for other artists. I have observed Brittany while doing tattoos and she is very considerate and observant of the person receiving the tattoo. All of the artists and staff at Painted Fox were friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The shop has awesome vibes complete with a gift shop full of loose crystals, wire wrapped jewelry, books, and more. My artist, Jon, was fantastic - he worked with me to finalize a design that was exactly what I envisioned, offering his own insight and suggestions while still allowing me the autonomy of making final decisions. He took the time to ensure perfect placement and talked me through each step in the process. It was such an inviting and comfortable environment; I absolutely recommend Painted Fox for any of your tattoo/piercing needs and I’ll definitely be coming back! 🤘🏼

Very Happy! (I met Murph about 5-6 yrs ago when Carrie did my 1st tattoo and my wife was having one by Murph at the same time. Today I got to visit the new shop finally and I was very impressed. It is really amazing to see what Murph has done and continues to do.) The shop was wicked intriguing with lots of neat items which gives the whole experience a very unique feel. All the artists and workers were super nice and all joking with each other, which really gave it that community vibe. It was a great atmosphere AND I am extremely pleased with her artwork (clean, precise and exactly what I had envisioned).I am already thinking of new ideas for my next visit.

I dont have much nice to say about this shop.Half of management has zero conflict resolution skills. I asked for help planning a large tattoo and requested to buy the drawing because it was going to take time to build, and I wanted the drawing so I could see the art as this tattoo was going to be a full back piece. I was told by Murph when I handed over $400.00 dollars that we would meet within a week or two and get the artists together to draw the tattoo I wanted. Then I was going to pick the proof picture I liked and would be given one revision, and then the work would start. After several cancelled meetings and no communication, I knew that they probably were not going to follow through with designing my back tattoo. I showed good faith by letting them start on my arm (quickly turning into a sleeve) which would show I really wanted them to do my back piece. After all of my experiences with this shop, I reflect on the following items:1. It is hard for me to be in group settings and sometimes I have no filter when I speak. Case in point, I had made remarks in conversation which in turn made one of the employees uncomfortable in the shop. After finding this out, I gave them a written and verbal public apology which was accepted. As time went on, I realized that this was not the case, and they had no intentions of following through with my back piece. Instead of being honest and telling me that they did not want the job, I wasted a lot of time and effort.2. I understand the rates are set by the artist, but I know others that have gotten work done in that shop and get double the work for a lower price while I get charged more money for less ink. I believe some of this is because I am not a part of the LGBTQIAS+ community which I consider to be discriminatory against me.I took my money to another shop with a veteran artist who has been tattooing for over 35 years. This artist tattooed a similar sized piece on my upper arm (like one I had gotten at The Painted Fox), which was efficient, high-quality work at an affordable price..Warning: If you have no clue as to what your tattoos should cost, please do your research first. By all means try The Painted Fox as you may have a different outcome. This experience has left a negative mark on me, and I will never return there for any tattoos in the future.On a side note, Noah was very welcoming, and I really like him. Cali and Anthony do great work, but management is lacking in many areas.

Tiffany is absolutely amazing! She has done 5 tattoos for me. I love them all and will definitely continue to go to her for more.

I got a new tattoo at The Painted Fox the other day by Jaylee (@_jayleetattoos_ Instagram) and it was amazing. The shop was clean and everyone was friendly. Jaylee helped me create a tattoo and did an amazing job. The lines were clean and shading was great. Hadn’t had a tattoo done in years and now I’m excited to have found a great shop and artist to go back to.

I absolutely love this place! It is such a safe and welcoming community full of talented artists. They work with your vision and make it come to life. I feel completely supported and communicated through all of my sessions and I leave every time fully satisfied! Murph is absolutely amazing and has always made me feel comfortable and satisfied with every session. Prices are very reasonable and worth every penny! The staff and management are amazing! This is exactly what Warrenton needed.

The artists here are easily the best in the area, if not the state! After a less than positive experience with an artist in Richmond, I reached out with hopes of a last-minute consult. Instead, Cali got me in same day for a piece I’ve been trying to get for months. What’s more, it’s so much better than I could have ever anticipated! He drew the piece in front of me, made adjustments right then and there! I’ll be back for more oddities and more tattoos!

Came in not realizing it was walk in Wednesday, I d been to at least 4 other parlors that said they were walk in friendly, not the case for me.I was welcomed by the manager whom I don’t recall her name and Aspen. They were very friendly and got me in John Chauvin within a few minutes of arriving. I was walked back by the manager to John’s area. The parlor was immaculate, nothing on the floors, all of the areas to include the restroom was very well kept. Every person I walked past was friendly giving the greeting of the day followed by a smile.John introduced himself and we briefly spoke about what I wanted and within that time he came up with exactly what I wanted.John finished in about two hours and it was more than I expected. Throughout the tattoo he asked if I was ok, making sure I was comfortable. I love the work he did and he has become my go to tattoo artist!!

Murph is great. One of the best artists in nova and up coming nationwide. Get in to see her before she’s famous.

I joined a Sip n Paint event here yesterday and it was soooo fun! The space is amazing and the atmosphere is relaxed, non-judgmental, and positive! I’m so happy the community has a place like this, and I hope they continue to do events like these and more. The owner Murph is hospitable and joyous. Worth a visit just to see the decor and gifts/merch available for sale. Can’t wait to come back!

Honestly, I was not 100% sure of what Oddities entailed until we walked into this fun shop. It is full of unique metaphysical items and rare collectibles. The owner and staff were so welcoming and engaged with everyone in the shop. It was refreshing to hear this is an all Women ran and owned business. We are excited to return for upcoming events especially the Sip and Paints. If you have not stopped in you should, this shop will make a mark in the town for sure. Very impressed and am on the wait list for my next piece.

I’ve gotten tattoos from 3 of the artists there (Murph, Cali & Tiffany) and i love them all! I also got my bellybutton piercing from Lenca! Will absolutely be returning!

My husband and I walked in for our first tattoos ever and had a great experience. The shop was clean, organized and had a great vibe. I highly recommend.

I went to visit and the vibes of the shop were very nice. The apprentice giannie had such a great attitude and was extremely helpful. All of the jewelry was handcrafted and there were very cute handmade protection spells and jars. Would definitely recommend visiting.

After walking by their door several times a week and watching the evolution of the Painted Fox I have decided they’re not sure what type of business they are. They now include “oddities” in their name. I went inside yesterday to check it out because it looks more like a studio than a storefront. There was no one in sight. Someone came out of a side area and grabbed something from the one obvious tattoo chair and went back to the closed off area without acknowledging my presence. Ok. Customer Service = none. They have filled the front with “witchy” things. The only “odd” thing I can find is veils of geckos. Otherwise it’s namely a spattering of candles, two tarot decks, some oils, herb satchels, a tee shirt. Very sporadic and limited selection. I could have stuffed half of it in my pocket and walked out given no one there apparently cares about customers or even watching their product. I hope this place gets it together and makes something of their awesome location in downtown Warrenton. For now I’m sorely disappointed.

I really enjoyed my experience! they have a great variety of oddities and spiritual products. everyone’s attitude is very welcoming, especially the apprentice that was there. definitely a hidden gem!!

The selection of oddities isn’t enormous, but it is pretty inclusive, and I like what they have. Plus, it expanded since last I went there, and I have no doubt they’ll keep growing as time goes on. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and their events are super cool as well. I’ll be looking to get inked there for sure!
