Went in for my first tattoo with my husband and we had the BEST experience! They were kind, patient, and fun to kick it with. They made my first tattoo experience better than I could have ever expected. Jerry’s skills are unmatched! We can not recommend this place enough!

My daughter, husband, and I were in AK visiting friends and we wanted to get tattoos. Stitch fit us in and we spent about 9 hours hanging out while we all got our tattoos. We brought an idea to her and she ran with it and made our end result perfect!!! Stitch did amazing work, she is extremely knowledgeable in all things tattoo related, and the rest of the staff was great as well. We definitely will go back to her the next time we are in AK!!!!

I had a great experience getting a fireweed tattoo on my ankle. Preach did a great job of listening to what I wanted and walked me through the process. I highly recommend this place and would return again!

I got a coverup done by preach and he went out of his way to draw the most beautiful design, and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out. Very clean and chill environment, also the people just make the experience all that better very good at what they do, very friendly and welcoming. Will be coming back!

This is hands down the best tattoo parlor I think I have ever been to, the best tattoo artist I have ever had work on me, and some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I recently got one of the best pieces colored in (fully saturated) by Stitch! She is a phenomenal artist that can definitely work a challenge and create it into an absolute masterpiece! I highly recommend this shop from the hospitality to the personalities of the artists in the building, all around an amazing vibe! I will for sure be coming back soon!

Wow….just wow there are no words I’ve had a few tattoos done before discovering (now) my forever tattoo artist and I’ve got to say there is a reason I will never go to anyone else again they are so affordable and very efficient with their pieces I had one of the most calm and stress free tattoo sessions anyone could ask for we laughed and talked and the gentleman doing my tattoo even made sure I made it to my car safely after the session cause of the time of night the session was finished and how dark it was I would say there is no other place like this I definitely recommend

These guys were great! They have a relaxing enjoyable atmosphere and did amazing ink work! I will definitely be going back for another tattoo when I can. They work as a great team and excepted a last minute walk in with no problems at all. Very savvy in what theyre doing. I loved it. And whether its your first time or you want something touched up, theyll take great care of ya!

I came to Aaron in December, panicking, because I’d just gotten my first tattoo somewhere else and it’d turned out pretty bad. I’d talked to several other artists about doing a coverup, but nobody wanted to touch it. Aaron took the job with no issues and gave me a beautiful, full-sleeve phoenix, covering the old piece very well. I absolutely love it, and I get compliments everywhere I go. Thank you, thank you!

There are nothing but wonderful things to be said about Doulos Tattoo and its artists! I walked in with a half-baked idea of what I wanted, and Preach took the time and effort to meticulously create something original and beautiful that incorporated all the stylistic elements wed discussed. I also gave him artistic license to fix up an existing tattoo, and the result looks stunning! The care and dedication he puts into his work certainly shine in the final product.The shop is clean and properly maintained, and all typical/required sanitary practices were followed. The artists are all knowledgeable, experienced, talented, respectful, open-minded, honest, and above all incredibly kind.Simply put: great work done by good people. I cant wait to see what the future holds for this lovely crew!

The staff were super nice and easy to be around. My artist checked how I was doing throughout my 10 hour session and stayed until 4 am to get it done so I can make my flight out the next day. I highly recommend they are very thorough and reasonably priced. If I’m back in town I will be going back.

I got my nose done during the summer for a stud on each side of my nose, the ending result was great and i loved it but as soon as i walked in the place it gave me the creeps since it did not look professional, and the people there did not seem very nice. the guy who pierced my nose was rude and kept making fun of me.they sent me home with a piercing cleanser that didnt work, the bottle was broken, so we had to go back and buy a new one which overall the whole thing cost $140. about 3 months later i had to finally take out the piercings and noticed one of them was infected, and wasnt able to get it back in so i had to let half of that money go to waste, and now im writing this 4 months after getting the piercings and noticed that the other stud is also infected even though i clean it regularly.i will not come here again

Got a tattoo from Preach today. OMG like I can’t say enough good stuff. I got a black and gray peacock (no photo yet bc it has to heal but I’ll put one up later). Super professional, great line detail and saturation. The texture and detail on the piece made it fabulous. Neo traditional design that makes it pop. Planning my next piece already!

I did not get a piercing, my mom did. I absolutely would not let him pierce me. He gave no consideration to where the client wants the piercing, he just shoves the needle through wherever he wants. Did not consult with my mom to see if the placing was what she wanted, just pierced her with no hesitation. No warning or communication about what was being done or why. Very unprofessional compared to every other piercing Ive personally gotten. Just be warned, if thats his norm, you will get no say in where your piercings are placed or any kind of communication through the process. Everyone in the shop was very nice other than that, but I would not recommend for piercings if you want any kind of say in where it is placed.

Went today. I was very impressed with the whole place and Aaron, the owner. He designed what I wanted and had it done in about an hour. Great price. I can’t wait for it to heal, I will share pics. I recently got a lip piercing and a tattoo from this place. First time coming in and I have to say, absolutely amazing. Very relaxing environment, good music, very layed back environment made to make you feel comfortable and shake off the new piercing/tattoo jitters. Newch was a great artist, the piercing was quick and clean, it was over before I even realized it. The pricing of the tattoos is fair and definitely worth it. I was a little hesitant with the tattoo but he kept me calm, telling jokes and stories to keep me distracted throughout the process. I could hardly sit still I was laughing so hard. Definitely will be coming back and getting another tattoo/piercing and one of his awesome looking sweatshirts. 15/10 easily. Id recommend it to anybody looking for an amazing place to get body art done.

I went to Aaron at Dark Works Body Art last minute to get my ears pierced. It’s a little more complicated than that though. I already had two holes in each of my ear lobes, but my first holes were grown in, so I’ve only been using my second holes. My first holes were incredibly uneven, so the owner took his time brainstorming how to get my holes more symmetrical. He took out a measuring tool and measured down to the millimeter. He ended up piercing an additional hole in one ear and just re-pierced the other ear. He was fair and honest, and only charged me $40 for the one piercing.Prior to coming here I went to another piercer in town (Matsu Tattoo & Piercing) who wanted to charge me $100+ for the same thing. I recommend Aaron for your piercing needs. He was professional, the facility was clean and neat, and from the looks of it he’s a talented tattooist as well. I’ll definitely be coming back.
