Matsu Tattoo & Boby Piercing is a RIP OFF! Had to get my daith piercings put back in after surgery and was having trouble catching up with BPU, who took them out for free because of surgery. MTBP was going to give me a break and only charge me $75 for both instead of each to put them back in because of the difficulty and which is what they charge for piercings. BPU got me and 10min later I was walking back out with both earrings in for free! YOU ROCK JESSICA @ BPU!

Went in for navel piercing. Old guy did it horribly, he didn’t pierce it correctly according to my anatomy and gave me the wrong jewelry according to my anatomy. Got it done on 9/12/23 kept it in until last month and it never healed because of incorrect placement and jewelry.

Dude was super chill and quick. In n out with my new septum which I shall enjoy having greatly. Will definitely be back for future piercings :)

This is a great place. Staff was nice and friendly. I had my daughter’s nose pierced here. The inside is clean and bright. I will definitely be going back to them for more piercings and tattoos. Thank You Rocky, she loves it.

I got my cartilage pierced here about 2 weeks ago and Im very happy with it. I came in as a walk-in and there was a small group ahead of me and only one person working at the time, so I had to wait a little while (understandably), but once it was my turn it must have taken like 5 minutes from explaining what I wanted to walking out the door. He definitely knew what he was doing and picked a good spot for it because while getting the piercing done hurt, after about an hour there was only a slight throbbing and then I barely noticed it. It hurt to bump it of course, but its now healed quite nicely. And just an FYI, wearing a mask for extended periods of time during the first week sucks. I didnt think about that until I hopped on a plane 2 days later.

We come here for all of our body mods. We just recently got matching couples black spider tattoos and I have to say, these are the best tattoos we have on our bodies currently. Always a treat listening to Rockys stories. Prices are reasonable!

Rocky was extremely nice and accommodating when we went in for tattoos. The experience was overall very comfortable. The tattoos for myself and my family all turned out exactly how we wanted them to. Definitely recommend this shop!

He is my go to for all my Piercings. Rocky has done 2 of my sisters, my husbands and 4 of mine. He is always so gentle, respectful and calming. Which is exactly what I needed and appreciate. I recommend him 10/10

This guy is amazing, his customer service is great hes super cool, hes done two of my piercings and they turned out great, my piercings normally take a while to heal and my lip piercing healed really quick and nicely.

Got my tongue pierced here two weeks ago and it was painless and super easy. Came in as a walk-in and was out in about ten minutes, super nice and clean. I have had no problems with my piercing and even the healing process was fast and not much swelling. Will definitely recommend this place and go again if i ever decide to get something else pieced.

Rocky is amazing kind fast and sounds just like a Winnie the Pooh character. Such a good guy. Professional and clean. We have gotten two different piercings from him for my daughter. Both on different days and different areas of her face. She didnt even flinch, or have pain from them.

This place is great! I got my daughters ears pierced here, very friendly, clean. She did so well and I was so glad I found a place that would pierce her ear lobs, shes 4. Nobody in Anchorage would when I called around. Needle piercing not a gun piercing!The place does have some motorcycles around. I was skeptical when I went in, because I thought it was the wrong place.Its been months and my daughters ears have no infections!

The gentleman working last night gave me my first nose piercing and I am so happy! It was nearly painless and so quick and clean! I would definitely recommend them for sure!

DO NOT GO FOR TATTOOS. He does piercings just fine, well even. But I 100% regret sitting in His chair for a tat. I got a simple line tattoo with a friend and he botched both of ours. I thought maybe my friends was messed up because she was squirming the whole time how ever, i didn’t move. He has a heavy hand and he made very distinct mistakes on my tattoo that I’m going to have to get fixed now and will not he by him. He’s only getting two stars because of the piercing i got. It was a smooth clean process and healing well.

I got 3 piercings here a lip,nose,and chest dermal. The guy was very nice and sanitary. A week after I got them done i couldnt untwist my lip ring to change it out. I walked in and he did it for me right away. The very next day I pulled out my dermal on accident half way out. Again without notice I showed up and he fixed it at no cost. Thank you so much very friendly and understanding.

I’ve gotten two nose piercings from him, and it was a quick, awesome experience. 100% the person I will go to for any piercings, and the one I’ll recommend to others.

Long story short - terrible experience and worst tattoo I have now.My cousin and I called this place since they were the only ones open around the area at the time. We went in to share our simple ideas. Just a couple cartoon swords. This man looked at them and said they would be difficult and gave us a price of $150 each. I have many tattoos and when I heard that this guy was thinking these tiny cartoon drawings would be difficult, I was concerned. We talked the price down to $125 each (still absurd). I’ve gotten really great quality tattoos before that charged $100 per hour. These cartoon swords should have not taken more than 40 minutes each. We were there for nearly 2.5 hours. I understand tattoos are charged differently with different times of completion, materials used, etc. With this being such an easy piece and it not requiring a lot of time, I can understand an upscale in price from a business standpoint. However, I’ve also had bigger tattoos that took less time with much more detail and charge only $80. I don’t know, maybe it’s an Alaskan thing.They didn’t have any spots for the night so we booked an appointment for the next day. My cousin goes first and gets hers completed quickly, but you can definitely see how terrible of a job he did with the outlines. I go next and get the same botched outline and the color doesn’t even fill the inside to the edges. Along with the terrible tracing and coloring skills, we were interrupted not once, not twice, but three times so the artist could go pierce other customers. I don’t know what the point was of scheduling an appointment if multiple customers are getting served during my session. It wasn’t just an individual each time, it was a group of friends. The third time we had to persuade him that we didn’t have time for him to serve all these other customers because I had to catch a plane soon after. Regardless of my flight, we shouldn’t had to persuade someone that we’ve booked a tattoo appointment with to finish our tattoos. Once he came back to finish mine, it was very clear he was in a rush to get us out as quick as possible, which led to even more terrible qualities. A month later is when I took the second picture. I’m still healing from it...I’ve seen some of the other work that this man has done and I’m still impressed. He was clearly distracted that night and just didn’t deliver.

My boyfriends sister recommended going here for piercings, I went for my septum piercing and was happy with my experience, the man who pierced my septum was very professional and went straight to it, i would recommend this place to any one of my friends, 10/10 experience, definitely would come back.

Rocky was super calm and everything was fast and clean. I got my Daith done and it took a minute to sign paperwork and 4 to set up and pierce. Would definitely come back for my next piercing.

Honestly, Im sure this guy is great on the regular, but on a wednesday night at 6pm, after making an apointment the day before he acted like I wasnt a priority and actually messed my tattoo up because he left halfway through it to pierce peoples noses. Very unprofessional. Not only that but I had to talk him down because it was over charged. Literally will never recommend anyone to this establishment if I can help. I would be too embarrassed.

I went in for a nose piercing and it took no time at all i was probably in there for like 15 minutes (including waiting in line) and he went over how to clean and what to use and was really nice and clean. i had to take my nice stud out for my volleyball game and the hole closed up so i have to go back in but i’m not nervous like my first time at all because of the atmosphere in the store🤍

Very professional Tattoo Shop. The proprietor was very down to earth, accommodating and was helpful with creative ideas! I had my nose pierced and my very 1st Yatoo done!!! It was an awesome experience. I would highly recommend this tattoo shop to ANYONE. BTW, the shop is clean/sterile...love it...bc I am an RN...and cleanliness/sterility is a #1 priority besides getting the perfect tatoo.

If i could give this place 6 stars i would! He did so amazing on me and my sisters tattoos. I gave him 2 pictures i wanted to combine and he created exactly what i had imagined since i was 13. He was wonderful and funny!! Will definitely always get my tatttos done from him

After an impulsive decision on my end, my best friend and I went searching for a piercing place nearby. This is the only one that seemed to be where people went, and everyone loves them so we went, and couldn’t be happier. Super simple process, and we were out fast!

Rocky was real nice and friendly, was very calm and helpful with my fainting problem when I went to get my septum pierced, the piercing didnt hurt at all, just mostly felt funny, I would recommend

Rocky is the man, shops around him charging $100+ for a piercing with jewelry and this man has been priced at $50 for as long as I’ve known him going on 10 or so years. I’ve had piercings done by him and seen many piercings done by him, strait as hell every time.

Awesome looking shop, the gentleman was very kind and professional. I went in for a lip piercing. He asked questions and made sure I was comfortable before starting. Will be going back for all other piercings. ♡♡

Google maps ends directions in the middle of KGB. Took a little bit of turning around and taking other turns to find the place. Gentleman was fast, efficient and frankly humorous. Enjoyed the service there.

Got us right in and out, very pleasant, explained the care and what would happen if my son didnt take proper care of his piercing. Was very careful to be sterile.

My oldest wanted her cartilage pierced and I didnt want her getting taken somewhere that wasnt experienced with piercing. She is VERY happy with her newest holes.

The only piercer in the Valley that does childrens lobes. He was great, we had 4 kids getting pierced and only 1 cried, which wasnt his fault either 🤣

Terrible. The piercer was overly aggressive, and the piercing got infected badly. Went to the hospital and my nurse also said her piercing got infected from this place as well.
