Art 1st Custom Tattoos

First, the only reason I put 2 stars is for Brielle. She was absolutely fantastic. Super sweet, patient and easy going. I am beyond thankful I got put with her as my artist. My poor husband on the other hand got put with Mindy as his artist and well look at the pictures. His band is crooked as hell not to mention the ink bleeding to cause it to now be illegible. Mindy was rude and condescending from the moment we walked in. I called ahead of time asking if they could do the tattoos we got done and whoever answered the phone said yes. When we get there Mindy then states she cannot do mine because she doesn’t do names because “it’s bad luck.” I can respect that if she stopped there. But she kept going on and on about it. It also didn’t make sense to me that she would do our anniversary date which is just as much a tie to a significant other as a name. I started off wanting white ink on my finger because it’s more feminine and that is what I like. I already have a white ink tattoo that has been perfectly fine for the last 12 years. Mindy kept making snide comments about me wanting white ink. My husband asked if she would put the band all the way around to which she said it won’t work and won’t do it. All and all we should have went somewhere else.

Tony did an amazing job on our tattoos!! I would recommend anyone wanting a tattoo to book an appointment here. Another artist (Mindy) tattooed my nephew a while back and did an amazing job as well!! The studio was very clean and dont remember the receptionists name but she was super nice and helpful!

Aubrey has done two of my tattoos and both look amazing! Lines are crisp, fantastic shading, and super friendly!

Came in for my birthday with a group of friends... Mindy was my artist... she did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and giving me the tattoo that I really wanted. She had such a light touch that I barley felt her there... Her fine lines are amazing and she has a great eye for detail... I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back for another...

My wife and I came in for relatively simple wedding band tattoos to celebrate 25 years of marriage. This was my first tattoo experience. Everyone there from start to finish was welcoming, kind, and professional. The business itself was immaculate and incredibly sanitary. Mindy was our artist and was absolutely fantastic. She was honest, gracious, and professional. The whole experience makes me look forward to going back again.

I had Jennifer do a pretty large one session piece. She worked through the whole process from design to tattoo.The experience was quite pleasant, and the art is something Im thrilled and more than satisfied about. Would recommend Art First as a whole and highly recommend Jennifer as an Artist.

My friend and I wanted to add to our travel collection and after asking around who specializes in “Tiny” tats, sooooo many people recommended Mindy at Art 1st. This same friend and I have previously had work from there from Chris and we are still obsessed with those and get compliments all the time so I was so excited for us to try Mindy. She killed it!!! These are a little smaller than a quarter and so detailed. She said she even does WAYYYY smaller. Def gonna book with her again for my tiny finger ones. These artists at this shop are amazing!! Not to mention it’s super clean and everyone there is so nice!Mine are all in a row and my friend got hers in 4 random spots but I mean HOW CUTE!!!

What vision Chris has. No matter what you’re looking for, Chris can help. He can take your idea and turn it into art that you can be proud of. He place is comfy and relaxing, his prices are pretty good and the rest of the staff are awesome.

Mindy is the best! She is so sweet and does amazing work. I have gotten a couple tattoos from her now and plan to keep going back.

Mindy is a saint, she was able to work with a half done tatoo on my arm and did an absolutely incredible job. Shes got an incredible style and her artwork is definitely unique. Would highly recommend her for your next tattoo.

Made an appointment a couple days in advance. Was informed about 45 minutes before the session that the artist wasnt available because of improper time management. I asked if we needed to get the deposit back, but instead the owner of the shop came in and did the tattoo instead. He was nice and did a really good job on my friends dragonfly. The business was clean and organized, I even took some pictures in the extra large mirror! This piece was 180, unfortunately the days of low priced tattoos are over with any shop you visit. After being treated poorly by a couple of other tat shops in town I was just super grateful she was able to get this on the day she wanted. I absolutely love this place! I’m notorious for being spontaneous especially when it comes to tattoos. I woke up on a Saturday morning and wanted a Roman numeral tattoo on my forearm so I called Art 1st and they told me to go ahead and come in. I walked in, was helped immediately, the artist, I believe her name was Elizabeth, had my tattoo drawn up and was starting on me within a few minutes! Coming up on #66 Bday, & try to do something different every year. This year got my courage up to finally get my nose pierced. Looked at all the tattoo shops in Weatherford and settled on Art 1st Custom Tatoos. Super close to home and was impressed on how clean and tidy shop looked from pics on website. They look like that in person also.Triple glad I picked them, the whole experience was awesome. Tasha was beyond patient with my 1,000 questions, told me every step and what to expect. She was very precise, and gentle. When I paid and walked out I could not even tell I now had a nose ring.also had second holes done in both ears at the same time. Second day of being done###NO pain, No redness, NO swelling, NO after bleeding. You need anything peirced, you need to go see TashaWill recommend this shop to everyone.

Brought my daughter in for a piercing and was very impressed! Tasha was professional, knowledgeable and welcoming! She also explained the whole process and went over detailed aftercare instructions. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Got my 2nd nose piercing here and it was absolutely horrible. She struggled to get it through then put a cork screw in it. Cork screws are not the correct jewelry anymore for a fresh piercing. She instructed us to clean with sea salt which is another no no. Told me to come back for jewelry change in a few weeks which I did. HUGE mistake! She put a hoop in and overlapped it trying to make it smaller. It ripped my tissue to shreds and caused a huge bump and severe irritation. Thank god for Melanie at 1st Revelation. I went to her to fix my piercing nightmare from here. Piercing hoops should be seamless!! If she is going to continue piercing she needs to invest in better training. Do not go here for piercings!

Great tattoo shop with very nice welcoming people. Clean and friendly environment. James a new tattoo artist there did a really awesome job on my tattoo and completely fixed it and he has fixed another tattoo of mine previously! Josh and Chris are very good as well. Wouldn’t go anywhere else because they are so consistent.

Dont worry about tipping them after the tattoo cost. One of their artists brought his family to my resturuant where I had the pleasure of waiting on him and his. They ran up an $100 ticket and tipped 6 dollars. Their service was good for a very busy resturuant durring dinner. With the way our policy works, (servers paying bussboys and bartenders based off sales) I actually paid to work for them. Not a good look.

My partner and I both have gotten tattoos from Lauren. Outstanding experience. The detail work from her was fantastic. Excited to get my color in from her next.

Passion Over Profit. If you visit the shop, you’ll see the signs and Chris doesn’t disappoint. I have had 1.5 sleeves and an amazing calf piece done by Chris and have been nothing less than blown away by his work. He cares deeply about the product he delivers to his clients and will put in whatever time is necessary to get it right. Chris and Tasha are gracious hosts that make you feel at home. Albert (just won an award! Congrats!) and Brooklynn also do great work and it is awesome to see them excited to share their work with not only Chris and Tasha but anyone else that is lucky enough to be in the shop at the time. I can’t wait until my next appointment and I highly recommend Art 1st to anyone that asks where I got my work done.

Have had several tats done by the owner, Chris and by Brooke Lynn. Their work is amazing! Tasha is really in charge and she runs the place well! They all are like family to is now. Wont ever get ink from anyone else!

We went there on Friday the 13th. Got there around 2:30 and got in line. We were very excited and couldnt wait to get our tattoos! 5 hours later, they came out and told us that the group ahead of us was the last group to get tattoos....😠😠 HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WERE TURNED AWAY....😡😡 They should have had some kind of sign in sheet, and put a limit on how many people theyd be able to accommodate....it was such poor planning on their part.... Its not like they didnt know the day was coming....

This place is awesome, and the people are awesome! Chris went over a tattoo I had done by someone else and made it look so much better!! We have grown very close to this family and we absolutely love them!! The shop is always very clean and everyone is always nice!! I won’t go anywhere else!! We love y’all!!

Absolute only place Ill ever get a tattoo again! Chris not only is a completely laid back and personable guy but his work is personal for him. He actually mostly draws the art onto your skin and then tattoos it. None of this stick a tattoo outline on and paint by numbers stuff. You will be very pleased by your experience here!

I am from Lubbock Texas and My mother n law and I were virgins to experiencing tattoos. We both have wanted one for a long time, so we decided to go on the search for a clean, reputable place and ran across Art 1st Who had a 5 ⭐️ Rating in Weatherford.We got there and everyone was so friendly and the place was clean. Our tattoo artist was named Peso, he was excellent! And had great customer service, he was very thorough in explaining how to care for our new tatts and if we had questions we could call him any time. Peso has a bright future ahead of him and we wish him many many blessings in doing what he loves best. If we decide to get another tattoo, he is our guy!! Go see Peso if you want a tattoo you wont be disappointed.

Art 1st simply hit an homerun,grand slam out of the park.This was my first tattoo. I’m 58 and my granddaughter was diagnosed with cancer. I told her she could shave my head however she didn’t want to. She didn’t want so much change in her world at one time. Well I felt helpless, so I decided to do something that everyone would know was outside of my norm. I met with Chris about a special cancer ribbon tattoo with my granddaughter name on or over it. Well first thing they did was open the shop for me on his day off. Labor Day to be exact. Next he met all the design requirements without going over the top. His line work was straight,consistent and very clean. His application was as professional as it gets. I now carry a symbol for my granddaughter that will forever tie Art 1st and the Grard family together. Thank you Chris and family for the compassion,the work and love. If you need a tattoo Chris has my vote and undoubtedly proven himself as the top ink man.

I came in to get a cover up tattoo and Peso did exactly that. There were no jagged lines and completely filled in without any light spots from missing coloring. I will definitely be going back to him because of his quality of work.

Went in there thursday may 2nd to get my girlfriends belly button pierced, and today it had complications so my step sister took her to another shop to have them look at it, and the piercer said that it was pierced too deep and had no room to swell, well they refused to give a refund or anything since we didnt go back to them aftet messing up.

Everything and everyone is clean, very respectful, very upfront and honest. Everyone there seems to take the business serious but theyre still relaxed enough to shoot the breeze with you. Not to mention Great artwork!
