We had a wonderful experience here. We went in to have our 2 month old daughter’s ears pierced. The process was quick and informative. We also had some jewelry repaired and polished. They looked good as new! We will definitely be coming back.

The three generations that run Contempo are lovely and relationship oriented. They have a great selection of high quality engagement rings and earrings for that special occasion.

Highly recommend. Drove over 1 hour to get my 1 yr old daughters ears pierced, based off reviews.. glad I did. Her ears are fully healed now, no issues. Customer service was great.

Wonderful service!!! I took my three month old to get her ears pierced and from the moment we walked in I felt completely comfortable. Claudia was awesome! She took her time with the initial markings to make sure they were precise. Then, once it was time for the piercing, both ears were done extremely quickly! I would highly recommend!

Stepped into this place of business today to have my daughters ears pierced. We were buzzed inside and stood for what felt like forever before the 3 women behind the counter engaged in a conversation with a customer did not even look at us. For a minute I thought it was us but then I watched as another customer came in and was greeted the second she walked in.Piercing turned out good but was not the most friendly environment.

Just perfect. They are the most wonderful people, especially Claudia. They all know me by name. The team at Contempo Jewelers are absolutely amazing. Mimi, who did the piercing, not only managed to calm my fears, but she also made my daughter as comfortable as possible. Theres so much I could say about the Contempo Team to describe my experience and it wouldnt be enough. Firstly, Nick and the entire team are such kind hearted individuals. They definitely make you feel as if you are family and thats the welcome you definitely want. Nicks keen eye for detail and his knowledge of craftsmanship is uncanning. Without measuring he knew my ring size by looking at my fingers, thats how good he is. He welcomes your input, designs, questions and comments. He works with you to create your masterpiece. I fell in love with my rings the moment I saw the finished product. Because of that I have officially made the Contempo store and team my family jeweler. I continue to go back yearly for different thing and Ive spread the word as to how awesome they are. My friends and family have seen his work and dont hesitate to go to him for things such as engagement rings. The staff is so diligent and their customer communication is above and beyond. They are by far a wonderful team and I wouldnt trust anyone else with my jewelry.

I just had a very pleasant shopping experience at Contempo. I wanted to buy my daughter a gift. Claudia was extremely helpful. She showed my daughter numerous options, all well within our budget. While Claudia offered suggestions, she gave my daughter space to make her own decision regarding the pieces she wanted. Ive been to other places where the staff has been pushy or opinionated. It was so refreshing to have such a nice experience at Contempo. I look forward to returning.

I walked into Contempo Jewelers after two negative experiences at other places in an attempt to purchase wedding rings. The many positive online reviews led me to email the store about what I was looking for in bridal jewelry. Nick answered my email in a timely manner and I could immediately sense that he cared about my wishes. A few moments after walking into the store and being greeted by the genuine warm welcome from Liz and Mimi, I knew that Contempo was going to be my last stop! Nick and Liz worked to help us create a stunning, well-priced, bridal set. So glad that this gem of a store is so close to home! Initially my fiance and I went there to get my daughters ears pierced. Everyone was so professional and pleasant, we then got my fiances ring resized. Both experiences were so great, we then got our wedding bands there. Despite my particular taste and specific requirements, they customized the rings I wanted to perfection and left me speechless. What a fantastic place. We got our 6 month olds ears pierced. The staff was amazing, knowledge and had a thought out solution/plan for every concern I brought up. I was super hesitant about going to a place that used a ear piercing gun but they have a very sterile system in place, which they took the time to explain to me and a fantastic job.

My 3-month old daughter had her ears pierced at Contempo by Mimi. Mimi was patient, gentle and best of all, quick! I highly recommend Contempo because the staff is well trained, the store is clean and has a nice, reasonably priced selection of jewelry to meet the customers needs.

Kamini (Mimi) was the best at piercing my 11 month olds ears. I love that she is a perfectionist (marked her ears several times) and really took my little ones lobe shape/how itd sit into consideration. Very professional and can tell she has experience, cant recommend her enough. The price was right and the service was great. Well be back!

By far, the best place for all your jewelry needs. My lady told me what kind of engagement ring she wanted and I started the hunt. I first tried the over the top jewelry stores and those prices were crazy high which discouraged me quite a bit. They also wanted you to apply for a credit card and only give you 6-12 months to pay it off before it starts gaining interest. Thankfully I decided to hold off a bit and continue to look. I stumbled upon Contempo on a whim. I saw them as I was driving by the neighborhood and figured it was worth a try. I spoke with Nick and he was able to find the perfect stone and setting right on budget. The best part was, he had layaway which allowed me to pay it off with no worry of another credit card or a crazy APR.The staff is absolutely amazing; very sweet and caring and made every transaction a breeze. If youre in the market for any type of jewelry, give them a shot; you wont regret it.

I have been dealing with nick and contempo for over 20 years. Anytime Ive gone in there they have always been very receptive and helpful. I have left plenty of jewelry there for repairs and I dont have a concern leaving stuff with them. The quality of there repairs is too quality. They have very beautiful stuff and a large assortment. The most wonderful, nice people work here! Walked in at opening to ask them to fix my very old chain, and they fixed it on the spot! Was in and out in 5 minutes! They only charged the tiny amount for the missing part, and were just so caring and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

I cannot be more happy with my experience from Contempo Jewlers. My fiancé and I picked out an setting many months ago and Contempo Jewlers was able to copy and create a custom version that was even more beautiful then the original! Nick the owner and the women working there were so pleasant to work with. I also needed beads added to the band since my ring was top heavy and they were able to get it done within 15 minutes, cleaned, polished and looking brand new for no charge. They also have other gorgeous jewelry. My fiancé and I are most definitely getting our wedding bands made there! We couldnt be more satisfied with our experience there!!!

Went to Contempo jewelers in search of an idea to make my engagement ring and my mother in laws engagement ring one ring. Well, upon meeting Liz (Contempo Associate) I knew I had come to the right jeweler.She was so intune to my wishes, she came up with several ideas, all of which I liked, I finally chose one of her designs , and today March 17, 2018 I picked up my new/old ring and was completely blown away on how beautiful and elegant the ring turned out. No brainer, Contempo Jeweler is the only jeweler to shop at. A shout out to Nick also for his thorough expertise to make sure all the little diamonds could be incorporated into the ring. My husband needed a special battery for his watch and I came to this jewelry store. While the jeweler was putting in the new battery, I was browsing the display items in the store. I immediately fell in love with a gold wedding band with diamonds, and ended up buying it on the spot! My husband said he was never going to ask me for my help again because that was the most expensive battery he ever bought!!! Actually, the ring was amazingly priced for its weight - The jeweler said that was because he bought the ring when the price of gold was cheaper and that he was able to pass on that lower cost to the consumer. Then he asked if I had any gold jewelry that I wanted to trade in towards the cost of the ring. What a great suggestion - you know all those old broken gold chains add up!!! Anyway, the jeweler and sales people are friendly, helpful, and patient. Oh - and there are always these great mint candies they keep in a bowel for you to take!

5 stars across the board. My fiancé was extremely picky with the band he was looking for. I expressed to Nick what he was in search of and he brought me through his options detail by detail. He gave me his opinion with my best interest in mind and he worked with me to find the perfect band for my fiancé, not like other places where they push you to purhase the most expensive item they carry. He eased my worries and I came back several times before making my decision. Contempo is a hidden gem for West Hempstead. I recommend if you are looking for a small business who cares about the needs of their community and quality of their service . Will be sure to go back!

Rude owner claiming 30 years in the business trying to sell me fake diamonds.Made them use their own diamond tester on the jewelry they were selling me and it was not testing out diamonds but gems with their own tester !!! Later claiming that the diamond tester is broken !! Took it to the 3 different jewelers and 3 different diamond testers all came out the same fake diamonds . Would not recommend .STAY AWAY IF YOUR LOOKING FOR THE REAL DEAL.

Simply overpriced! They charged us unfairly for what we needed to have done . I have had this service done before for 2 different items and they charged me 50% more than any other jeweler.
