Fantastic place! I got my rook pierced by Anthony. I have nothing but good things to say about the actual piercing itself. It was quick and relatively painless and he seemed very educated about healing piercings in general. I really couldn’t believe how little pain I felt.One tip before you go here - DONT buy the “cleansing set” or whatever, just walk down 50 ft. to target and get a saline wound care spray. That will save you a bunch of money.The piercing itself was a 5 star experience, but I rated this place 4 stars simply because I think it’s overpriced. Before tip, the rook and jewlery was 100 dollars. I chose this place for convenience but the going rate in this area for just the piercing is usually 40-50 dollars, not 60. And a single simple titanium curved barbell being 40 is pretty expensive.Overall, I had a great experience but their prices are a bit above mall piercing rates.

The piercer on staff switched out my piercing for a LOWER gauge without telling me. After unknowingly wearing 18g instead of 16g for over a month I now have an unstable piercing and I cant get the correct jewelry in. This piercer also told me that white gold and platinum are the same thing. Do not recommend.

This place sucks! Over priced tattoos my partner and I got. As well as my partners tattoo turned out discolored and blotchy. I also bought a pair of Jeans from them at the same time. They lied about the price, telling me they were fifty bucks. I then see that they charged me almost $80.00 on my credit card statement. Plus they had horrible customer service, very rude and arrogant. Never again am I coming back.

This place is honestly fantastic. i went there with my mother and we both went to Anthony to get the side of my nose pierced and my mom’s tragus pierced. he did a fantastic job at explaining how to care for the piercing and he made the process very quick and it was over before we knew it. the prices were pretty reasonable including the after care stuff we were given, and we also got a box of cleanser (i think) for free. It was a very sanitary place and Anthony did a great job at calming us down! a lot of reviews mention their nose bubbling up due to an infection, but i promise you if you care for it and listen to the instructions on how to, you’ll be just fine.

Went to the place yesterday to get my first ear piercing. Service was awesome, the man who did my earrings was super chill and informative and made me feel comfortable in the whole process. Best first experience I will say!

I was supper nervous about my belly button piercing but the piercer was gentle. It was supper easy and I didn’t feel any pain at all totally recommend going there for your first piercing.

Very poor customer service. I went to remove a piercing and buy some new jewelry to put it on after removing the other one and the 2 gentlemen that were there it was obvious that didnt wanted to work. I asked for the service and they looked at each other and told me there was nobody to take care of me at the moment. But they were just standing leaning on the counter and joking around. And they sent me to another business at the same mall. Which I appreciated it at the end cause the other place was the total opposite when it comes to customer service and overall. Backstage got very great merchandise but the employees give a very bad impression of the store when it comes to customer service. I wouldnt go back nor recommend it to anyone.

Awesome place! I come here to get my ears pierced and the team that works there is absolutely amazing! They are very professional and you feel so comfortable and safe there. Also the cleaning kit they have is super helpful and it really helps a lot with the healing process.

Got my n!ps pierced here and guy did them uneven. Also tattoos are insanely overpriced, I got one of mine here - a small lavender on the back of my arm and was charged $500 when they even made it the wrong color. Plus management is extremely rude in general and will make you feel bad or guilty. I do not recommend

Came in to get a tattoo for my birthday April 7th. Price was a bit high but fair enough since there was no where else close by that day that could do it. Maybe 2 weeks later I noticed the tatt just wasn’t healing properly. I could tell that my body had rejected a good amount of the ink and it just wasn’t going to heal properly. At first I was livid but I figured I’d give the shop a call and see how they’d react. I really expected to have a hard time with this place. I wasn’t in the mood for a back and forth or an argument. The store manager Anthony and the tattoo artist Fernando made things so easy for me. I own businesses so I always respect people that stand by their product which they did. They had me come in and took a look at the tatt and came to the conclusion it needed more time to heal before they could touch it up. Fast forward two more weeks…I call at 2pm they got me in by 6pm had me touched up and out of there with a product I’m happy with by 7pm. It spoke volumes to me that they stood by their product. This is my 6th tatt but first one with them. I will be back there in a couple of weeks for my next one. I cannot stress this enough…IT SPOKE VOLUMES that they stood behind their product. Smart way to keep a customer and have a satisfied customer. As long as Anthony and Fernando are there I’ll bring my work over there.

Just got my nose pierced by Anthony and he is amazing! I was super nervous and scared of getting my nose pierced and had an great experience with Anthony. Anthony made me feel calm assured me theirs nothing to be nervous about. He walked me through the whole process from the beginning to end. Very knowledgeable on the after care. When I first walked into the room, I sat down and he was very gentle. We talked through while the piercing was happening. The nose piercing only felt like a pinch. If you a nervous or scared have Anthony do your piercing. You won’t regret it.

I just got my ears pierced by Anthony. I specifically came here because they did ear piercings with the needle. I am glad I came. He talked me through the process so that the pain was barely noticed. And on top of that they provided me with after care instructions to prevent future infections. I highly recommend you come here for piercings.

Very unprofessional, we scheduled 3 appointments a week prior with the tattoo artist name Carl. We came 15 minutes earlier and let the tall guy with the gap knows our appointment time. He was very dismissive and told us we have to fill all the paper works over, which we did. He then called the tattoo artist and he was all the way in Brooklyn knowing that he had scheduled appointments. They then offer us a different tattoo artist who was coming in 2 hours later. The tall Indian Guy was very rude and unprofessional, he kept talking over us, and would not let us explain our frustration since we took time out of our day to come in. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT COME HERE. WASTE OF TIME. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I walked in today with one of my really good friends to support me while I get a new piercing. I made my appointment ahead time and right when we walked in, the lady at the counter was extremely rude to me and my friend. Not helpful at all. She told me to take a quick questionnaire for the piercing and also filling some information and when I finish the form it instantly submitted. She got all mad and said “You shouldn’t of submitted until i checked it over.” But she never told me ahead of time and continued to make me feel bad by saying “everyone else who comes here knows not to submit.” I Politely told her “I didn’t know , you never told me.” When the piercer (Anthony) came out he was also rude and it was not a good experience. Dont go to a piercing place when they are not nice and welcoming.

I went to get two ear piercings in my cartilage on the same ear and it looks amazing!! Anthony was so nice and he made it looked good especially since I wanted it to look good since my other ear has piercings on it. It didn’t even hurt that bad he did an amazing job! I would go back again!

I went to this place twice, once to get my ear lobes pierced and another time shortly after for my tragus. i wish i hadnt gone back. low quality jewelry and the piercing keeps getting infected. in addition, the piercer was quite rough and it hurt much more than it should have (i had gotten the exact piercing before on my other ear). i had to change out their cheap jewelry carefully and it hurt like hell. when i got my ears pierced they gave me two different studs instead of matching ones.... i mean come on. i have plenty of other piercings which i have had no problem caring for, the only infections i have had were from piercings by this place. they must have something wrong with their sanitary practice. they might tell you that the jewelry is surgical steel or titanium but there is a fair chance they arent telling the truth. beware.

It was amazing! I got a belly piercing and I was very scared but Anthony did really well. He was quick and the only part that hurt a little bit (emphasis on a little bit) was putting the jewelry in. I didn’t even notice the initial piercing.

My best friend and I went here on Saturday for piercings. My friend got five piercings in her ears and I got my nose pierced. Our piercer was Anthony and he was AWESOME! Every piercing was quick and painless and very reasonably priced. The staff behind the counter were also very nice and helpful. This place is very unprofessional. The guy who helped me at the counter ignored me when I asked a question and continued to text on his phone for 5 min as I stood there in disbelief trying to get help. They will try to overprice everything. Anthony took my ear jewelry out (from another shop) and threw it out then told me to come back in a week to replace it for a high price. I did not ask Anthony to take my jewelry out or give him consent to throw it out in the trash. I only asked him to look at my cartilage piercing for advice. Please don’t risk your health or money and do yourself a favor and get pierced or a tattoo somewhere else.

Walked in for a simple conch ear piercing and they took me right away! I was in a rush so they let me go first. Everything was very clean and the body artist was friendly and confident. But we had to wait in that store for a long while before getting service with the belly button rings. The counter guy didnt seem to have interest in us, only to the group of girls next to us. They ignored us. I almost walked out.Then , he came over. Ive gotten couple belly button rings.That is only the start. I then had to wait forever to get my one ear Pierce. Instead of just letting the person who had paid in advance over $135 h just for couple belly button rings and only one hole in the ear. They told us the cleaning package was free !Some $135 worthless free!!All they care about is hustling as much money out of you !!We were very nice too. Before I knew it, it was too late.Do not go there whatsoever!!! I am a very reasonable person! They ARE SCUMBAGS!!!!IF THERE WERE A 0 STARS OPTION,!

$120 for a simple nose piercing extremely overpriced. It was a rushed process I didn’t understand why since no one was waiting except me, and apparently Anthony’s technique is not the best it’s now 4 months later it hasn’t healed and I have a horrible bump that resulted probably because they guy didn’t pierced me correctly. When I call they never have time to explain and are always busy. This is going to cost me more money than expected the dermatologist will have to remove the annoying permanent bump on my nose. Please DONT go here!! I read most of their excellent reviews is because they give free piercings in exchange for a 5 star review.

Lugo made my re-piercing so easy! Way less painful than my original piercing. Everything was very clean and quick. He kept me entertained and focused on everything but the pinch. Thanks for a great experience!

Backstage is my go-to for absolutely any piercing. My suite mate and I come all the time. The guys are super friendly, and truly make one feel comfortable. Compared to other piercing shops closer to home, Backstage in the Palisades mall is worth the drive because of their cleanliness, specials, and affordable prices. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Got tattooed by Javier Cruz. Very professional guy, made sure I liked the design and the size of the tattoo. Made me feel very comfortable and calm. During the tattoo he was very concentrated and precise. I definitely recommend Javier and Backstage if you want a tattoo. He did super clean work, line work is amazing and shading was phenomenal.

Piercing was Clean and quick. But a little too quick with the talking on pricing. They started by telling you how much it was initially. Then after you get the piercing they give you this crazy amount, saying the price on the jewelry and piercing is separate not to mention they throw this after care set at you. All while taking your card. Oh but they give you a free jewelry so i guess it makes up for it being double of what they originally told you. Smh. Total rip off if you ask me. I’m only giving it 2 stars because the piercing was quick and pain free. But i don’t think $110 was worth a nose pierce.

I got a cartilage piercing there about a year ago. From the first minute it didn’t heal (and still didn’t). At first I had to take aspirin for a few days my entire face was burning in pain. Even though I didn’t sleep on that side it never stopped hurting. After about 8 months when I went to change the earring (at a different location), the professional there pointed out to me that the piercing was made in a bad angle she couldn’t even believe what was going on. I removed the earring and the huge bump that had formed there from doing the piercing, didn’t go away and was red swollen and infected. I got a prescription from my doctor and even after taking high doses of steroids for a while, I’m still waiting for it to heal, it hasn’t gone away completely. Don’t go to this place you may be putting yourself in danger!!

I came in for a piercing check up for a nose piercing that I got a month ago. My piercing had a bump and i was concerned it was infected. Julian checked it out for me and helped me get it changed so that it would heal right. He was incredibly helpful and patient with it, and also helped me understand the correct way to care for it. I feel much better about my piercing and I am really glad I stopped here to get it checked out. I definitly reccomend going here, and even more so having your piercing or tattoo done by Julian!

Visiting New York for the weekend and I lost the ball on my septum jewelry and I found this shop !! The employees were very helpful with helping me size!! They also have a wide variety of jewelry!! Definitely will be back when visiting again !!

Anthony was very personable and professional. Price was reasonable for the piercing and he even fixed a piercing mistake someone else made just charging for the earring. Second time here and highly recommend.

I’ll start off by saying this store has bad reviews on Yelp for a reason.They gave me a hard time and said I needed my nieces birth certificate. I know for a fact, this isn’t true. The entire time, there was a another family there and he never told them they needed any type of legal documentation. This business has different requirements for different skin tones. Don’t Go.

I walked in to stretch from 6G to 4G tunnels (my piercer was out of town) and I was completely horrified when I saw their tunnel collection.All disorganized and mismatched out of a dirty wooden drawer and I was expected to find the jewelry and measure the gauge myself. They wanted $70 for both ears stretched and they make the client measure the gauges. I politely asked for help and was told they cant help me and the clerk said that not many people gauge their ears anymoreIm sorry but I cannot trust a shop to stretch/pierce when they cant even organize their jewelry.

Got a tattoo with my friends here a few months ago. The colors of our tattoos are fading, the outlines of it not straight and we were trying to get an appointment for a touch-up for over a month now. First, theyre telling us that our artist is only there on specific days so we made an appointment for a week later. When we arrived on that day, they told us he is not working and said they cancelled all his appointments for the week (I received a confirmation for my appointment the night before though).Today, about a month after our cancelled appointment, I was calling them again just now and was told that our artist would be there today, but that touch-ups are only made on two days of the week, out of the few days he is available. They care ZERO percent about their customers satisfaction and behave like the biggest idiots. I regret getting that tattoo from a place like that, I should have studied them more before going there.Not to mention that we were as well kind of forced to get piercings when we got our tattoos. They want to get the most money out of you, in a selfish, rude and absolutely disrespectful way.I could continue, but just be advised: AVOID THIS PLACE!

I took my daughter to get her nose pierced. After we went to pay I was charged $61.00 for cleaning products. Didnt realize it and told them I didnt need them and wanted a refund. They said they would give me the refund, but ended up charging my card an additional $30.00. I feel like they stole money from me. Very shady . Do not go here ! They rip you off !Not good business at all.

Tony is the man! I have been going here in and out for a few years and I can say this. If you want quality and top tier than backstage is the place to go. I got my tattoo here and they were extremely professional. The artist got my vision down perfect! I then referred my friend to backstage and her piercing was seamless! I have been super excited to get my belly button pierced but I have super anxious to actually get it done . I started looking up a bunch of places & prices because I didn’t want to spend a fortune on it .Luckily , a friend told me about Anthony who works at BackStage & I decided that i want to go and check it out . When I got here, Anthony was very helpful with explaining and showing me the process of piercing & how to clean it . When I finally sat down to get it done , it was done so smoothly & nicely . After it was done he taught me how to properly clean it & make sure it doesn’t get infected . I highly recommend Anthony for any piercings . His prices are so hard to beat & you will have an overall great experience !

First off, they try to scam you out of every dollar you have. Their jewelry quality is horrible and overpriced. I’ve gotten a few piercings here; I’ve had to replace the jewelry in my ear 4 times now because they keep BREAKING. My belly button piercing, which they charged me 70 dollars for is completely crooked. Can’t even do that right?Tony is completely inconsiderate and unhelpful. Customer service completely sucks. Very arrogant and condescending. If you’re not a pretty girl, don’t think you’ll get “good service” because that seems to be a deciding point for him on whether or not he treats you well.Another man there, the one who wears a Yamaka, td me he wanted to impregnate me??? Because that’s an appropriate thing to say to a customer right? Completely sexist and just plain rude. He went on for a good 10 minutes, in very specific detail, on what he wanted to “do to me”, meanwhile I was just looking for someone to change the jewelry in one of my piecings.After all of this, I go in the other day simply to ask them to put in a piece of jewelry I already own into my ear because I was having trouble screwing it in myself, and tony refuses to do it unless I give him ten dollars. It takes 30 seconds, if that, to help me put in the jewelry. I understand it is a business and they need to make money, but $10 for a 30 second process? Ridiculous. If you do the math, if his 30 seconds was worth $10, he’d be making $1200 an hour? Seems unlikely.So all in all, their quality is horrible. Their customer service is horrible. Their loyalty is horrible. Their attitude is horrible. They will not be getting my business again. Every friend I have who has gone to them has had a horrible experience. I hope they either get their act together, or just close down. The way they run their business is wrong. They are scammers.

Have gotten a few piercings here. Everyone’s chill and easy to talk to. Except when you come back and they don’t help you out with the complications after said piercings.

I really wanted to get my nose pierced again but I am afraid of needles.The guy was so nice he encouraged me to get it.It hurt a little but it was fine after and while in process and the guys very nice, great people.Thank you

Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, and the person who gave me my upper lobe piercing was really kind and helped me get through it even though needles arent exactly my thing.

They charged me $150 for a semicolon on my wrist thats no bigger than an ant. Also, its patchy. The man who did it did a terrible job and the guy at the counter definitely ripped me off. I got a second tattoo and it was the same price and this is what makes me want to cry. Im super depressed and I have to walk around like this. Their rates are ridiculous for people who are not skilled. Youre better off getting a prison tattoo.

Went once for piercing and that was great. Recently got my first tattoo, a finger tattoo and was warned about fading which I agreed and understood that I might have to retouch often. However I experienced tattoo blowout from the artist going too deep which he didn’t say could happen and he also nicked the finger next to where he was tattooing and now I have a line tattooed. At first I thought it was the pen he used to draw but it’s been weeks and I’m stuck this ridiculous line right next to my tattoo. I even tipped the artist not realizing the outcome.

I read all the reviews and I don’t understand why so many people complain about the prices , when you get a tattoo , you get what you pay for! I am extremely satisfied with my new tattoo and I think they have amazing artists in that shop. It is actually very clean and the staff is very professional as well. Just because the tattoo shop is in the mall doesn’t mean they aren’t professional....... The artists are actually extremely specific to details, especially with my tattoo! 5 stars no question
