Bitter Hearts Tattoo

I thought this place was weird when I walked in but gave it a chance. I’ve had my bottom lip pierced for several years and have had no issues with it ever. Until it closed, I came here to get it re-pierced. Told the guy I wanted it in the same spot as it was very relevant where it was placed. He completely failed at doing so. Lined it up completely and missed. Not only that, but I have a huge pus filled bump inside my mouth now and can’t even have my piercing anymore. I have had nose piercings, belly button piercings, 8 ear piercings, my lip, etc. never had any problems with any of them until now. I can’t even press on the outside of my mouth because of it.

Thank you Jaisea! I took my sister and I to get our piercings done. Jaisea was very accommodating and a doll to work with. Felt very comfortable with her. And our piercings look fantastic with her eye for detail.

Alexis was really nice and listened to everything I wanted. She did a beautiful tattoo and I love it. The staff were all very nice, very comfortable environment. So far we have 3 people in the house with beautiful tattoos from alexis and plan on going back whenever we want another one. They are all very professional and make sure youre at ease while youre getting worked on.

Im updating my review to include pictures of some of the tattoos Ive had done by Ian Simon over the last 3 years. They all healed beautifully and I love them! Im so glad I found Ian and Im going to keep going to him. I get compliments on his pieces every time I go out. The atmosphere at the shop is great, I feel comfortable and respected, I always have a blast, and I made new friends. Great and talented people! Highly recommended.

Ive had 2 tattoos done by Nicole and so has my husband. The first ones we had done at INKarceration by her(lock and key) and then we went to the shop for the other ones. Im beyond pleased with the work shes done on us. Shes a great artist, and its very funny and personable. Im going back very soon to have Ian do one on my upper arm of my dog, I cannot wait to see how it turns out, Ive seen his work and pictures and know he does good work.I will definitely be going back to them for all my work as well as my husbands.

Ians work is amazing. Ive been coming here since 2016 and each time I leave, Im even more impressed. My sleeve gets so many compliments and people cant believe I got this type of work done in Youngstown. The shop vibe is relaxed and they are always so welcoming. Ill definitely be coming back for more.

Great artists and reasonable prices. The owner is fantastic but I usually prefer to book with Alexis. She does a great job helping me design my tattoos, and they offer Sandiderm which makes healing a breeze.

Ive been saving up to go and have Ian treat me like a canvas. Have seen his work and love the styling. Got my eyebrow pierced by the cute hype chick. Havent spent a whole lot of time there but every time I have went, everyone was always very welcoming and the vibe of the shop is so positive!

Love them so much! A great, clean, fun atmosphere. The staff was helpful. Waiting time wasnt long. Very professional. My procedure was quick with minimal pain and heal time was great. The give the best instructions and advice. Ill be back for more piercings and maybe a tat next time. Cant show pic but i had my nipples pierced and it didnt hurt. More of an erotic sensation than anything. I highly recommend it for anyone (smile).

Ian is my go to guy! Always does amazing art and an absolutely great person to sit for hours with. I moved out of the areas of over four years ago and still will only let him tattoo me. An 8 hours drive for me is worth a beautiful piece and an afternoon of great company. He is always very accommodating with working me into his schedule when I come into town. His staff has always been extremely chill and fun to hang out with and from what Ive seen does great work too! Love this place and cant wait for my next trip home.

My absolute favorite shop. Everyone here is so talented and so friendly. The environment is so relaxing and welcoming. The artists are all so thorough with consultation and deliver exactly what they say they will on services. Ive never felt so comfortable at any other shop and the work they do is beyond impressive. I recommend Bitters Hearts to anyone and everyone. Even brought my mom here for a tattoo and she loved the environment as well as her new piece!

I have sent so many people to Ian and his amazing artists. Every single one of them have been more than satisfied. Ian has done new pieces and cover ups on me and I am in love with everything he has done. Im at the point now that I tell him to do whatever he wants because I trust him completely and I know he knows best. I dont go anywhere without people complimenting the work he has done!

Im extremely bummed out I came in here to get a dermal replaced and it fell out less then two days after getting it put in! That was my birthday present and I was so excited to find somewhere out here that changed out anchors and would have stayed going here more but now its lost and I have to buy yet another one and Im just so frustrated!!! There supposed to be threaded tight so this doesnt happen but here I am out on my brand new jewelry and the money I paid too have it put in. Freaking bummer man.

My sister and I went today to get matching tattoos. Alexis did wonderful work and was super fun and friendly. The atmosphere was also dope af. I would absolutely go again and I highly recommend her!

I wouldnt ever think of going anywhere else. Ian and the crew are absolutely wonderful people and will go out of their way to make you happy. I do not go anywhere without getting compliments on his work. I have 3 large pieces and 2 smaller pieces by Ian and have won awards for them. I look forward to more tattoos and time with these awesome people!!!!!!!!!!

I have two tattoos thus far from Ian Simon, and have a third session scheduled. He and the staff of Bitter Hearts are welcoming, patient, and undoubtedly talented artists. I love the tattoos that I received here, and have enjoyed both sessions. Highly recommend!

I just got this done today amazing job he did Dez did an job awesome on my tattoo their all very friendly up there would definitely go back

Dont get me wrong these guys are cool here but I was kind of sad when I was told different prices then after he drew up what I wanted it was raised $30 extra dollars. He seemed like he was making prices up as he went along. He said 2 different prices before the drawing then another after he finished the drawing. After finishing my tattoo it wasnt like the drawing I seen. The coloring didnt look complete. My tattoo doesnt look 190 worth at all. He said he chose this price because he will have to treat my tattoo like a cover up but I can still see the tattoo behind it. Thats not a good cover up if you can see whats behind it. It seems like the only really great artist here is Ian but he stays with a full schedule and he is never in the shop unless he has an appointment. Ive been to the shop countless times and seen him in the shop once during my last visit. There are other places out here that do more for less and will give better results. Ive given these guys 4+ chances. No more for me. Sorry

Fast and friendly.Nicole the piercer was awesome I got a double helix piercing and my friend got the snake bite we were done is less than an hour.Nicole was quick and clean. Gave us good advice (it didnt hurt that bad at all). Ill be going back for more piercings soon!

I HIGHLY recommend bitterhearts for everyone looking for a new shop for tattoos and piercings. The atmosphere is so comfortable and all the employees make the experience so much more enjoyable. All the artists that work there do incredible, unique work and I’m so satisfied with all the piercings and tattoos I have got from them so far!10/10

Ian is THE best tattoo artist in the area. I could walk in blindfolded and throw a dart at a board of tattoo ideas and would love whatever he put on me. Everyone who works at Bitter Hearts is friendly, welcoming, and above all else knowledgable. If you want quality work done right or need to fix someone elses mistakes, this is the place to go!

I honestly had the best experience here! the owner ian simon went above and beyond what I needed to get done he is a master at his craft. The environment is friendly and feels very family oriented, a group of people you know wake up every morning and love what they do. I would recommend this shop to anyone! They made a client for life!

I visited the Greenville, PA location and i got my bellybutton pierced there. The man who pierced me (I never got his name) never went over any instruction with me about what he was doing or how to take care of it. He wasnt very friendly and i had to be pierced twice and i felt like a burden when he had to do so. It was a nice shop and the other people were very friendly, but this one piercer seemed very unprofessional. It ruined the experience for me.

It turned out amazing! Great work and everyones so friendly 💖Edit: it didnt heal well. They had my boyfriend put the saniderm on for 3-5 days. Looking at the website and info about it now it says 24hrsHe took the bandage off and it ripped alot of the ink out of the tattoo. It healed bad and when he went in to get it fixed, it was rushed, things were added, and it wasnt fixed at all. The colors ended up really dull even though it was barely two years oldAt two years old it looks like its 10 years old. Very unfortunate because i wanted to stay very loyal but im having a hard time.

Everybody at Bitter Hearts Tattoo is extremely nice, laid back, and are great people. The shop has an awesome environment to be in, the inside is very colorful, comfortable, and unique! Ian has such a creative mind... I have 1 session done so far but im really looking forward to the 2nd one & more to come. He took my idea of what I wanted and was able to create a breathtaking drawing which looks even more better on my skin. Its nice to have an artist who genually cares about a client. Although all the piercers & artists are very talented too! Go to this shop and I guarentee you wont regret it!

Ians the best around for sure. Had him cover a mess that I got done at blackheart. Dont waste your money anywhere else, go to the best the first time. You wont find a better tattoo shop around then Bitter Heart, this guys amazing.

I got a big side piece from here and it is by far my favorite tattoo yet. The staff is all very friendly and I was amazed by how quickly my tattoo got done. I took my mom there for her first tattoo and I recommend them to everyone I know.

I went there yesterday and got a tattoo by Nicole. She was amazing and made me feel comfortable as it was my first one. Im really glad I chose this shop and will come here again. :)

I had a great experience with Nicole, who did my piercings. But the entire staff was friendly.I suggest calling ahead to make sure people are there. Will be returning.

I went there a couple weeks ago and was going to get a tattoo. I waited for almost 20 minutes until someone finally came to talk to me. The place was dirty and it stunk. He was giving a guy a tattoo, using a paper plate to put the ink on. Very unsanitary. And I personally think that place should be shut down!

Totally rep off the tat wasnt even all of what I wanted and the person calls himself professional lol yea ok frm my experience your suppose to giv your customer what THEY want not what YOU want to giv them and if u cant fulfill thier desire then its best to just tell them that maybe they would need to go else where period. Not ever dealin wit this place again unless its wit the other guy .

Got a tat several years ago from Ian. Extremely pleased with the result. I cant count how many people compliment the art. I wont even consider another artist.

I would have given it 5 stars for the tattoo my daughter got. I gave it 4 stars because of the attitude of the young girl at the counter.

Terrible service. Arrived for appointment and artist was not there. Artist arrived and did not introduce himself. Cost more than what we were quoted. Dirty shop, got sick immediately after.

Nick pierced my septum. He did an awesome job. I recommend him to anybody considering a piercing.
