Best shop I’ve been too. I’ve lived all over the country, from MA all the way to California and everywhere in between and this is by far the best shop I’ve been too. Nunzio and Doug do amazing work and I get so many compliments on their tattoos from guys I work with and while out and about. Highly recommend this place and all the artists in it.

Went in tonight with my mom to get matching tattoos as a last minute decision. Nunzio did our tattoos and he was amazing! Totally recommend! So professional, nice , and very clean. Such a great experience thank you so much and I recommend to anyone!

Great shop! Was looking for a local shop to take my son for his 1st tattoo. Had read good things about Skin Deep so stopped by to get a sense of the place. Everyone in the shop was very nice and helpful. The place was clean and professional. I definitely had a good vibe from it, so booked my sons appt and the rest is history. I have been back to have work done 4 times in the last month! The only place to go on the South Shore, in my opinion.

I called this establishment and spoke to Michael he had to call me back which he 10 minutes later. He asked me to send him a photo of what I wanted done. I was able to get an appointment that night with Doug. Doug did an awesome job I arrived at 5:30 I was out by 7 not rushed at all. I will go back to them I forgot to mention that this is my first tattoo. The made me feel easy and relaxed.

This happens to be one of the best shops and Ive been to a few. Thanks guys Ill be back

Doug tattooed me. He was kind and very informative as was the owner. The shop wasn’t too crowded and overall gave off a more artsy vibe.I’m giving 5 stars because of the people. Other popular tattoo shops don’t value costumer connection. If you’re not a regular they’re ridiculously rude. I don’t go for that even if you are providing a service.I will say as this is a more artsy shop you have to be very clear about what you’re looking for. My tattoo came out looking slightly more free handed then I would’ve liked but I still love it and it’s healing beautifully. Very clean, professional and kind

Staff was all lovely and polite, the artist was absolutely wonderful, and I will certainly be going back there again for my next tattoo.

I got my daith pierced a few months ago by Matt and I love it! He was very nice, personable and clear with the aftercare. Unfortunately, I have to have an unexpected surgery and all my piercings have to come out. Matt explained to me that this piercing has to stay in for atleast 6 months, but I don’t have a choice other than to take it out. I contacted the shop and spoke with the owner Michael. Such a nice guy! He went above and beyond for me. He ordered me retainers for all of my piercings and contacted me a few days later when they were in. He did it so fast and I truly appreciated that because it’s one less thing I have to worry about before my surgery. All the tattoo artist were busy with clients and their waiting room was packed! That means something! I def will go back and you should check them out as well!

Extremely impressed with this place. Everyone there is professional and friendly. I was seen the same day of calling to see if someone could take my nose ring out because I’m having a surgical procedure in a couple of days. The gentleman on the phone was so sweet and accommodating (even nicer in person) he told me to come right on down and he would take care of it for me. A real class act! I will be back!

Great place! Clean and neat, with beautiful artwork everywhere. I went to Skin Deep on Friday with my two sisters and we each got a tattoo. Doug is an amazing artist and I will recommend him everytime. He drew up exactly what we asked for and they all came out identical (as requested). None of us knew exactly where on our bodies we wanted them and Doug was incredibly patient with us, even with our indecisiveness. He took his time and made sure each tattoo was placed perfectly and that we were thrilled with it before he even started. We are thrilled! Needless to say, they came out beautiful and I will absolutely be back.

I got my nose piercing about a week ago and I was told the piercing may not fit but he would try.he forced it in and it looked great at first but after a while my nose blew up and the piercing sunk in my nose and I couldn’t take it out. I can’t even put a new piercing in I have to wait to get it re pierced.

I visited Skin Deep specifically for a piercing with Matt. I first saw Matt at a pop up in Boston and had a great experience so followed up with a visit to the shop in Abington. I had 3 lobe piercings (first appointment) and 1 conch (second appointment) and not a single one hurt! He was super thorough and responsive after the first appointment, and followed up to make sure everything was healing okay after the second. Aside from a great piercer, he was very personable and caring, and made me feel so comfortable. 10/10 recommend - cant say enough good things!

On June 7th at 12:30 I went to my scheduled appointment with nunzio, I’ve been going to this artist for years and have always trusted his workI’d go to nunzio before I went anywhere else, I had wanted him to work on fixing or covering up this coffin I have on my arm. He had this idea of putting skin colored ink into the already black tattoo to “lighten it up” to be able to cover it better, I’ve never been one to question his work..Moral of the story, he spent 2 hours drilling skin colored ink into my already black tattoo, 2 days later I go to a minute clinic because my arm was swelled up double the size of my other arm, from the minute clinic they told me to go the hospital immediately, so I did where they quickly made a spot for me and started IV ANTIBIOTICS immediately, was there for 4 hours to be positive the swelling would go down. Was sent home with a script of antibiotics and a skin infection.Now when I wanted work done to this I asked nunzio not once but 4 times if he’s sure he’ll be able to cover it. Yes promised 100% I have sense been to 5 well known tattoo shops with well known artists and they have been amazed at the damage done to my arm, None of them said they would have put skin colored ink over a black tattoo and would have told me to go get it laser removedEven gave me a Coupon for tattoo laser removalI’ve sense called the shop My 100 deposit for my next appointment that I will not be going to they won’t give it back to me. And charged me 250 + 100 deposit for my pretty sick nasty scar he gave me.Some pictures for ya still healing all scabbed up and today it’s June 19th.they called it skinn deep , because they go to deep literally. Unsafe.

Im so glad and Happy that I decided to go to skin deep for my sleeve tattoo Doug did an amazing and outstanding Job on my sleeve tattoo Im satisfied with the Design and Im most definitely absolutely 100% satisfied with all of the work that was done I had an awesome time getting my sleeve done when you walk in to put down your deposit ask for Doug he does excellent work and I couldnt be happier with the tattoo that Doug did for me everyone was so friendly and so professional and they even took the time to work with me on something super duper cool if Daffy Duck were human hed say the design that Doug drew up for me is absolutely Quack tastic daffy duck would approve of skin deep tattoo if he wasnt a cartoon character overall I enjoyed my experience and I recommend this place go to skin deep you will not regret it Doug is an amazing tattoo artist I nearly cried when my sleeve tattoo was completed everyone is an incredible artist and I think they all can draw you something extremely cool go to skin deep tattoo!

I brought my niece there to get a tattoo. It came out absolutely beautiful. Staff was amazing and so friendly and made you feel extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this place.

For starters, its a clean place. The artist, Jason, was extremely great to work with. He incorporated all the elements I wanted into the design. He had to change it a couple of times before we got it on a template. Then he set and reset the placement of the template until it looked right. He explained everything he was going to do, before he did it - i.e. before its too late. He did an amazing job and very excited about the finished product.

Highly recommend seeing Doug. He was great and paid attention to the little details, which is so important and often overlooked unfortunately by some other artists. Everyone there is also extremely nice which makes you want to come back again.

DO NOT GO HERE. I went in with a picture of the tattoo I wanted, left with a completely different, crooked tattoo that I am in the process of removing. The “tattoo artist” said he didnt put a color in that I had asked for AFTER THE TATTOO WAS DONE. I couldnt see how bad the tattoo looked at the time since it was on my back so I started to walk to the front to pay like he had asked. Then he quietly asked if I was paying cash, I said yes, he had me go back in his room to pay him so the tattoo shop wouldnt know about the transaction.

Very Friendly and kind people! Michael took great care of me. He made sure I was comfortable and happy with what I was getting. Can’t wait to go back. 😬

So will to work with changes and great conversations. The work was quick bit not rushed. Super happy with my new tattoo.

Amazing and funny people, not afraid to make conversation and joke around I felt like I was home even though it was my first time there, I would definitely recommend skin deep if you like quality tattoos and people!
