My first time at this shop but I’m a returning client of Dusty. Phenomenal work done by an amazing artist! Dusty took his time and we had great conversation. I highly recommend him. He produced a piece that was better than I could’ve imagined, the rats/vines are perfect! The shop was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. 10/10 will be returning. Thanks so much!

May be a simple piece, but Ceejay did an incredible job! Looks amazing and clean even during the healing process! I felt so welcomed here and everyone I spoke with/conversed with are so kind. Dusty and Anna were even kind enough to get me a smoothie, although dusty wouldn’t accept my money for it. Very kind people, will definitely be back for my next tattoo. Will be tempting not to come in just to play some pool however 😂

I went to get my seconds done there and I had such a nice experience. My firsts were done up higher than normal when I was a baby, but they worked with me to find a spot for my seconds that looked nice. Thank you to the patient angel who helped me-- Anna. I will be coming back here for my other piercings.

Okay so… this place is now officially my #1 piercing place. I decided to be a glutton for punishment and get both my daiths done in one go. Dusty being the awesome professional he was helped me through this painful process and was extremely kind!! The shop is spotless, everybody is so welcoming and friendly, and again, I cannot express how awesome dusty was dealing with my antics and finishing a piercing like a true professional. I originally went to “the piercing place” but ended up in this building and hey… accidents are intentional by design because I ended up with the best possible piercer. Thank you guys for my awesome (but painful) daiths :)

I have gotten two tattoos now both done by Ceej! Both times he has done an incredible job :) He has done the drawings spot on both times, and I have there obsessed with both tattoos! I will definitely be going to Ceej for the rest of my tattoos. Ceej is also super amazing as a person, he makes you feel comfortable and super welcome no matter what youre getting. He conversates which makes me feel super comfortable during the process :) 100% recommend this place and Ceej.

Great service all around. I called with a few questions and they went above and beyond to answer all my questions & make me feel more at ease. They were very professional & CLEAN I loved that! Would definitely recommend! These people know what they’re doing and they went above and beyond.

My daughter got a daith piercing and I got a tragus piercing today. Jake did our piercings. He was great. I went to Empire Tattoo and they told me I couldn’t get a Tragus piercing because the area was small, but Jake had no problem. The Piercery next to Rising Phoenix was more expensive then they were so we went with them. We’ll be back. Thanks Jake!!!

Dusty was fantastic! He was engaging and funny and wasn’t heavy handed. He hand drew the tattoo I wanted and I love it! It was exactly what I asked for and I am definitely going to be getting more ink from him.

I’ve been coming here for the last two years for all of my tattoos, and I exclusively request Jake (but they’re all awesome). LOVE this place and they’ve got solid artists and prices. I will consistently come here for every tattoo I get!

I got my nose pierced and then got a small tattoo done and I cannot recommend this place enough! All of the staff I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions and had a positive and great attitude the whole time. I love my piercing, which is what I went in for to begin with and ended up getting a tattoo that wasnt planned just because they had free time and were all so amazing to just hangout and have conversations with. The tattoo also looks amazing and prices were more than fair for what work I had done. This place was also very clean and looked well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back for future works and recommending this place to anyone I can!

I came here on a Saturday night as a walk in. I had to wait some time which was expected but Mike the artist did my tattoo and I had such a great experience! He did such an amazing job executing exactly what I wanted- came out better than I expected and he was so friendly and kind. I will most definitely come back to him to get more work done. If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I would. We have been here 3 days this past week. We went once to check out tattoo and piercing pricing and ended up loving the people and the atmosphere, the pricing was also so generous! Everyone was so freaking nice, the friend we initially brought, hit it off with Dusty who made him the most amazing tattoo that I am now going to get a scetch drawn and tattood by him. I got two piercings from Anna, my husband got 1 piercing from Phil, we brought over our whole group of friends and 1 friend also got a piercing from Anna and 2 other friends got tattoos. They really are a fun crowd to be around as well. Im so excited to go back and start my tattoo process!

I LOOOOOOOVEEEE This place. Anna was super cool. The entire staffed makes you feel welcomed the SECOND you walk in. I was well educated on post care procedures and we have an amazing conversation. I didnt have the best experience my piercings sadly came out crooked and also got infected so they had to both be taken out :( when I reached out to the piercer he was a bit rude and didnt help much when all I wanted was just information on how I could take care of the piercings and what I should do since they were crooked. He gave no advice.I reached out about the positioning of the piercings after the swelling went down I just wasnt met with much kindness or understanding. :(

Awesome experience that I had with dusty big batman fan like me got the first session done of Harley, Poison Ivy and Catwoman amazing work going back to finish the rest dusty is very knowledgeable and Awesome dude grew a bond with him and definitely recommend him to other people

Got both side of my nose pierced at the same time. one piercing points downward, one is straight in. They look somewhat even from the outside but completely different on the inside. Never got tattooed, but I wouldn’t recommend for piercings

I had a great experience! I just had my helix pierced by Phil and he was awesome. He listened to what I wanted and made sure I was happy okay with the location. I couldn’t be happier with the end result! The front desk girl whose name I forgot, was also very helpful and friendly. Shout out to my friend Ashley who not only recommended this place but for holding my hand while I got it pierced. Highly recommended this place.

Don’t be fooled by the good reviews, Arthur is unprofessional and does not honor their military discount. He is unsanitary while working, using his phone while tattooing. Spent 5 hours here for a hour and a half tattoo and still got over charged.

Had 3 separate piercings completed here all at different times but all by the same artist - Jake. Zero issues, he was fantastic and really understands the art of piercing.

My experience with Rising Phoenix has been amazing. I’ve gotten two pieces done so far from CEEJ and ART. Everyone there is friendly and the service is great. The prices are absolutely valid and a great deal considering the quality of work. I would recommend this shop to anyone who has yet to get a tattoo or wants to get another piece.

Dusty did my Lobe piercings, along with my friend’s triples and 2 of my friends’ cartilages’. He was absolutely hilarious and made our process so much easier and enjoyable!

I absolutely love this place so much. I live all the way in Naperville and personally drive out there to see my guy, Mike. I got my first tattoo from him back in January and have only been going to him. I now have about 9 tattoos from him. He drew this one back piece for me and everyone I show loves it. His line work and overall art is beautiful. Not only is Mike the best but he’s the absolute sweetest and goes beyond my standards. I look forward to coming to this place and enjoy every visit!

A friend and I walked in on a Friday afternoon for a *slightly* impulsive tattoo. They were able to get us both in right away and we each got a small piece that surprisingly only took 30 minutes. Prices were reasonable and the quality was what youd expect from any professional. I recommend this shop if you want some good work done!

My experience with Rising Phoenix Tattoo has been so far the best experience! Everyone there is so nice, the place is clean and you can play pool while you wait. Ceej is basically the one I go with…he has done 5 tattoos and does such a good job that I keep coming back all the way from Wisconsin.

I took my daughter here to get her ears pierced because we wanted a more sterile, safe, professional piercing experience than we could ever get at Claires. Brent B. certainly made that happen!He provided an initial consultation where we got to meet him, learn more about the titanium, American-made jewelry that he uses, the piercing process, and non-toxic after care. He made us feel very comfortable and we were able to set up an appointment.Our appointment was not at all rushed. He talked my daughter through every step of the process and, despite a couple of tear from the initial pinch, our appointment was a breeze!I LOVE that my daughters ears experienced a lot less trauma than they would have by being pierced with a gun. I also LOVE the fact that she will be able to keep the earrings she received today forever! The jewel is interchangeable with the same posts...brilliant! And I LOVE that the environment was so clean and inviting. We really could not have asked for a better experience. Moms, take your daughters here! You will not be disappointed!

Brent was fantastic, I couldnt have had a better piercing experience. I want nervous, but it was cool when he said, after I set it, you are totally in control, I wont surprise you, and we are ready when you are. His overall demeanor was very calm, he explained everything up front, and answered any questions I had. The place was very clean and relaxing - everyone was very friendly. I dont really get piercings, so it was so relieving to have such a wonderful experience.

As many other commenters have said, Brent B is great. I first interacted with this shop a few years ago when I went for a piercing consultation I ultimately didnt pursue (for reasons completely unrelated to Rising Phoenix). At the time I was impressed with their knowledge and honesty, so when I recently decided to start another project they were the first shop I considered.Time has clearly worked in their favor as they have only improved since then. Ive gotten several piercings from different shops over the years and Brent definitely goes above and beyond to make his customers happy, relaxed, and (above all else), safe. All other staff members were equally professional and pleasant. Rising Phoenix is on top of their game.

Amazing experience! Walked in right before closing for a belly button piercing, and got it done so fast! Did not feel rushed at all, and was given a ton of time to aak questions! Jake was so good at his job, he worked with my shallow belly button to create a beautiful result--couldnt be happier!

After relocating to Chicago area, Ive been desperate to find a replacement for my beloved piercing shop that Ive been visiting for over 15 years. I did my homework and found Brent B at Rising Phoenix. He was awesome. He was super polite, patient and answered all my questions. Very sterile environment, using only the highest quality jewelry is what drew me to the shop. If youre looking for the cheapest place, hes probably not your guy. You get what you pay for and youre going to have this jewelry for years to come, so go with the good stuff the first time and save yourself the headache later. Brent was professional yet very real and offered his honest opinions which I truly appreciate. Im super happy to have a shop and piercer in my new hometown!

Brent B (yes there are two Brents here. This one does piercings) was amazing. Got a nose piercing and he was totally professional. Honest and straightforward. Be nice to him! Bigger space literally spitting distance from their old location. So much nicer!

Went to Rising Phoenix to get my tattoo touched up and Chris immediately recognized that he originally did my tattoo, 8 years ago. The touch up was quick and easy. Chris did a great job and the fresh tattoo looks great! He was patient and very nice, even though I was in pain at one point. Would definitely recommend this shop to anybody!

DO NOT come for piercings. Very disappointed. I came here for my first piercing—basic studs. The staff was nice, but the place was super musty from cigarette smoke. I was happy until I got home, when I realized they were asymmetrical. I should have spoken up during the process but instead trusted the jewelry artist’s judgement... my mistake. Ended up taking out the piercings and will let the holes heal.Alternative recommendation—Chi-Town Tattoo & Piercing on Lawrence and I-90.

I had gotten my first tattoo here years ago and came back. I had David and he was fabric, quick and like everyone spelling there made sure what I wanted was correct, that I was comfortable. Prolong was reasonable. He was able to fit me in as a walk in. I had Brent G a few days later and loved his bedside manner. He kept me laughing, I have a high pain tolerance but I literally felt nothing when he was tattooing. He also kept me laughing and in a happy mood so my dopamine levels were higher which helped a lot. I will definitely be coming back for more of my tattoos!

Brent B is a fantastic piercer! My sister and I walked in with piercings in mind but he was able to explain why they wouldnt work with our anatomy and suggested a forward helix and conch for me instead of an industrial. He was a gentleman and explained exactly what we going on through the process. Piercings were quick and done in an awesomely styled sanitary environment. Ill be excited to return to him for more piercings when these heal!!

Just got my cartilage pierced with Brent and he was so so awesome. Such a nice guy, extremely professional, and very calming. I have had a lot of piercings in my day and I have to say this was one of the top experiences. This place is also very sanitary, only thing I would say is its expensive however I believe theres a reason places like this are more expensive than others and thats bc of quality. So if youre debating def check this place out, talk to Brent about which piercing you want done and he will inform you on what you need to know!! In closing def would come back here

Took my daughter for her first piercing (nose).. Jake “The Piercer” answered all my Daughters questions as well as mine .. was very professional, gentle as possible and very clean.. I’m glad I called.. thank you Jake(the car guy)

My friend and I decided we wanted tattoos last minute and called up for a walk in, they said they had time for us. When we got there my friend had hers drawn up very quickly and got back there in about 10 minutes. Another tattooer came out and asked what I was getting and said theyd draw something up. Now mind you, I know I didnt have an appointment, however 3 more people walked in for the artist drawing up my tattoo and instead up having them wait...they took one of the clients back to show them a tattoo they were working on for them and then after that did a consult with another person. Mind you its been an hour and half now and I still hadnt gotten a drawing. After another 30 minutes I went back for my tattoo (which took 15 min) and was done. The tattoo came out really well dont get me wrong but the organization and communication was severely lacking. Would only go back by appointment.

I had my second session with Steve Esparza! What a great artist! So welcoming and makes you feel so welcome! I also put down a deposit to have another session with this great artist! My co workers txting me all afternoon during session! Recommend highest stars!!!

Walked in at about 12PM to get a tattoo estimate for my girlfriend and I. Appointment was at 730PM, but didnt get work done until about 830PM, not a big deal though we just watched a movie and ate dinner in the shop. Everyone is very friendly and the owner is a funny and very loud guy! The work was beautiful so my girlfriend decided to get a Monroe piercing as well. Great job on everything overall and very easy location to find. The Google maps is wrong, its right across the street from Taco Bell in Addison, down near Mill Road. I would recommend this place for your first tattoo if thats what youre looking for.

Went into Rising Phoenix to get a piercing (tragus). Ruben immediately asked how he could help and started the process right away. He was super professional, efficient and funny. Made me feel at ease about the piercing and didnt sugar coat anything for me.After the quick piercing, he thoroughly explained the piercing after-care instructions and sent me on my way.Couldnt have asked for a better experience. The gentlemen at Rising Phoenix were real pros - funny too. I looked at the artwork that the tattoo artists were doing and was really impressed with the quality.

Beware if you make an appointment. If you want to cancel, you will not get a refund. I made an appointment on a Saturday for the following Saturday. I tried to cancel the very next day and they refused to refund my deposit saying the artist already drew my tattoo. When in fact he told me when I made the appt that it would take him about an hour to draw the tattoo....the day of my apportionment. Crooks. Stay away.

I would like to say i take my local guide title seriously. I want to warn people that this place is garbage, stay away from Steve Esparzas work. I paid a deposit and scheduled a tattoo 3 weeks in advance, when i showed up he didnt have a drawing ready and asked me to wait like peoples time revolves around him. We had agreed he would have a drawing ready and it seems like they are uninterested and inconsiderate to their customers time. He proceeded to yell at me and got rude because i asked to work with another artist then kicked me out and said I was F××ked OUT OF MY MONEY AND LAUGHED! Classic douchebags.. STAY AWAY! Im filling a consumer complaint to show how dissapointed I am in their shady business. If the owner wants to take accountability, he can give me my deposit back.I WANTED TO GET A TATTOO I WAS THERE PRESENT AND READY. WHY KEEP MY DEPOSIT AND KICK ME OUT?!STAY AWAY THESE GUYS ARE THUGS WITH NO HEART OR PASSION FOR ART JUST GREED!!!!

This is one of the cleanest and well organized tattoo spots that I have been to. As soon as you walk in its very inviting and friendly. If you looking to get some great work done on your body than this is the place to go to. I recommend it . Its by far the best spot so far.

This is the only place Ill go for piercings. I got my tragus done by Brent back in March and everything was awesome. I felt super comfortable the whole time and knew exactly what was going. I had to go back today to get some jewelry put back and to purchase a new piece for my rook, and the service was just awesome. Ill be going back in a few weeks for my other tragus piercing!!

I came in for the first time last week to get my forearm done...well since then I have given brent 700$ in the past week so finish my arm. Yes the past week. Everyone at the shop is so friendly and outgoing. I love coming here.

Chris was the tattoo artist. He was rude even thought I waited over an hour for him to show up for his shift. When he couldnt figure out the email in which I sent my tattoo that I wanted, I told him I could fix it, but instead he spend another 15 minutes just refreshing email. When he finally relented, I downloaded it and fixed the email in less the 5 minutes. My actual tattoo took about 15 minutes. When my friend was on his phone, he yelled at my friend, WHILE in the middle of completing my tat because he thought my friend was recording him. When my tat was done, he told me to get out of his chair. This was my second tattoo ever and tats are SUPPOSED to be an expierence that is positive. I am never coming back here mainly because of this artist treating me and my friend like we were below his time.

Artist had a very heavy hand on fine writing. Severe ink spillage and still very noticeable 7 months after it was done. The artist used a wide needle so the lettering is squished together and hard to read. I will probably get it covered with a different tattoo in the future. The artist was also very rude.

I came in today on my birthday to get a simple happy face and frowny face tattoo and my tattoo artist printed 4 pictures and his coworker with one eye came up to me and told me that I was wasting his time because I wanted to make sure the tattoo was correct the shop was also empty no one was inside accept me and my homie the dude with one eye that was talking to me was playing pool the entire time I was there super unwelcoming and not professional at all. Got a navel piercing by Brent B. a little over a week ago and its healing really well. He explained everything that I needed to know about the healing process and made sure I was ready to be pierced on my call which was awesome.

I got my first ever tattoo with an artist named Chaq and not only did he do a FANTASTIC job, he was patient, kind, and made sure he understood exactly what I wanted before he started. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Do not go here for piercings! Jay Catlow doesnt know how to do piercings. I got monroe piercing which after couple days started swelling, because he pierced it right through my lip and I was in so much pain couldnt even smile or eat. And my boyfriend got nose piercing and he put the wrong piercing after a week piercing started going into his skin. I regret that I didnt do my research before going to him, because its not the first or last time he messed up someones piercing

Got my nose pierced by Brent he was really professional. I was really nervous about the process but as he explained everything the nerves went away. I would recommend him to anyone whose looking for a piercing.

Came without an appointment two times..first time they told me that i need to wait 20 min,was waiting 2 hours and then left..bad costumer service...second time -was next,lady whi was in front of me was waiting for something...and the tattoo guy was waiting for her..but my tattoo was just for 10 min,thats what he said...she did not let me do that..spent sooo much time...wont go there again!!! Got my tattoo done by tony. Conpletely screwed up. It was a peace sign, the middle line is completely off center, and the fingers on the hand are all differnt sizes. Highly dont recommend this place.
