Absolute UNIT of a shop! I got tattooed by Mitch, a phenomenal artist! Both my mother and sister got tattooed by the newest artist in the shop, Nick. Yet another amazing artist! He worked with both of them to get them exactly what they wanted. Both Mitch and Nick heard our ideas, pitched some of their own to make amazing pieces that fit each personality perfectly! Highly, highly, highly recommend this shop for all tattoo needs!

I visited this store to get my first tattoo from a visiting artist that Ive known for years. The shop was great, with a bright atmosphere, clean facilities, plenty of room and a great staff. Everyone was welcoming and pleasant, and Im very pleased with the work I had done. My only warning would be to not bark like a dog, as youll set of a chain reaction around the entire shop.Photos are from day after the tattoo was done, so not fully healed.

I had the most wonderful experience at Dapper Dog Tattoo. Everyone was very welcoming, responsive, and easy to work with. The shop was clean and the process was straightforward. I cant say enough about my artist Ari who listened to all of my ideas, brought together a wonderful design, and completed my tattoo flawlessly. I am beyond happy with the result. Update: Huntress is still amazing and I can’t wait for future work with her. Probably one of the cleanest, nicest, and friendliest tattoo shop I’ve ever been in! Chris (co-owner) and Shai ( apprentice) was absolutely amazing! My mom and I loved it there!

I had a apprentice named Shai did my tattoo and she did a wonderful job putting thoughts into this, she is awesome and a very good tattoo artist, next time I get a tattoo I will definitely come here again, they are very clean, nice and thoughtful about what you want. They all put their heart and soul into their work and will not let you leave unhappy!

Ari is great! I had such an amazing experience at Dapper Dog. The vibes were there. Everything felt very respectable. Everything was clean, and the people were ridiculously nice. not to mention how talented everyone is in that shop. Ari did my tattoo. Her artwork is clean and neat. She made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process.

This was my first “real tattoo” (detailed, custom to me, etc.) and all I can say is WOW!! Chris knocked it out of the park with this one. Not just by giving me a beautiful memory of my heart dog, but also by making the whole process from start to finish such a comforting, exciting, and engaging experience. I’ve gotten work done by both Chris and Nick at this shop, and both artists were personable and accommodating! I also attended their Friday the 13th Flash day, and despite it being a smaller shop on a busy day, it remained controlled and organized and didn’t once feel overly crowded or chaotic. Great shop with great people and talented artists. Thanks guys! 10/10 will be back!

From the beginning of designing my tattoo to the end result, Chris was exceptional and brilliant and detailing the design I wanted from the small amount of information and few picture ideas that I gave him. The final rendering far outweighed my expectation of the original tattoo. Chis listened to the idea and created the perfect design. Professional from start to finish and a great experience in the tattoo chair. Chris work on my arm, while in the chair was easily the best tattoo experience I have had to date. I was so comfortable, I actually fell asleep, at one point. Now that is saying something. The tattoo studio was clean and arranged for patron safety and comfort. If you are new to tattoos or even on ol salt, like me, stop by Dapper Dog and I believe, you will want to be next on the tattoo list.

I went for the Friday the 13th pop up shop and I absolutely loved it. Everyone was so nice and the whole shop wished me happy birthday. Charlie did my tattoos and he was so professional and efficient. My tattoos came out great and left feeling amazing.

I had a wonderful experience today with Chris at Dapper Dog. It was my first tattoo in a decade (cover up) so I was pretty nervous, but Chris’s professionalism and natural talent put me at ease. He’s probably one of the most interesting guys on the planet and is a great conversationalist. Wonderful work and shading, I look forward to seeing it once it’s healed and the wrap is off!Also the least painful tattoo I’ve ever had despite it being 4-5 hours long. Great work!PS. We were super stoked to happen upon Dapper Dog and Mitch as walk-ins while on our lil birthday weekend in Annapolis. We were able to each get a little tattoo that meant a lot to us, and will also help us to remember this year and bday. I had a really positive experience—Nick was so friendly, and made the tattoo process so easy and enjoyable! I got a tattoo in my best friend’s handwriting, and he put us at ease and made sure everything was perfect before we put the stencil on. During the tattoo, I was happily chatting with the other artists and didn’t notice the pain much. I am definitely coming back for my future tattoos, and will definitely make the trip from Boston. I got tattooed by Ari for a custom design. The shop was very friendly and had a fun atmosphere. The tattoo turned out great! Location is also great, lots of places to walk around before/after the tattoo.

I went here for my 9th tattoo and WOW this was the best experience I’ve had by far! The entire staff were calm, fun, and friendly. The place was very clean and bright. My artist, Josh, was very quick to respond to my tattoo request and he worked with me to create an amazing piece of art. He gave tons of advice and tips before and after the tattoo. I normally only allow myself one tattoo a year, but this experience has me wanting to go back ASAP. While I had an appointment with an already established idea, there were multiple individuals who did walk-in and they received fast and friendly service. I was impressed the 6-7 hours I was there (big project) and I highly recommend you to check them out!

Huntress fit us in last minute. Drew up two awesome options for us and got us done pretty quickly. She was kind and extremely clean and sterile. If/when we come back we will definitely come back to her.

Dapper Dog lives up to its reputation as the friendliest tattoo shop in Annapolis. Very kind and talented artists!! I saw Chris on two different occasions: once for a portrait of my dog, and a second time to add flowers to frame the tattoo. Both times he knocked it out of the park. His attention to detail and his professionalism is very admirable. His communication prior to both appointments was great and he was so easy to work with. The process of scheduling is super easy- the artists are very responsive. The shop has a great vibe, and is very welcoming of everyone from all walks of life. The artists are all so talented and impressive. I highly recommend Dapper Dog!

Huntress and Mitch, were probably the most friendliest/Down-to-earth artist I’ve ever encountered. I was fully prepared to get my hopes down being a walk-in… But they were super flexible with their schedule and fit me in. I was blown away by how amazing Huntress did!! She walked me through her thought process and was full willing to go for any obscure idea I wanted. The vibes and conversations made the visit all the more enjoyable, felt like part of the fam. 10/10 recommend 5 stars aren’t enough to rate the professionalism I had experienced!

Can’t say enough good things about my experience! As someone who doesn’t frequent tattoo shops, we entered nervous and intimidated but that quickly faded. Chris and Mitch were not only skilled in their craft, but they were kind, helpful, entertaining, open minded, patient, and personable. I wish we lived closer. I’d likely have many more tattoos if my previous experiences were like this one. I never felt uneasy about asking for changes or feedback.As for the most important part for most, my tattoo is beautiful! Chris was quick and his work was as pain free as a tattoo can be. I’m still currently in the healing process but as far as I can tell the line work, color, and attention to detail are remarkable!!! I’d give this shop 5 stars across the board a thousand times over! Like I said the only downfall is the shop being 28 hours from my home in OK.

Went to their Friday the 13th flash event and got a tattoo done by Nick Tate. The tattoo is perfect! It is hard to make a design look messy and imperfect like scratches or bush strokes without looking sloppy, and he did it flawlessly. It’s hard to see because of the wrap and ink everywhere but I love it! I will definitely be returning to get more done by Nick

Came and got walk-in tattoos with my girlfriend and our friend this Sunday. Everyone was super friendly and warm, and it was a great first tattoo experience for all 3 of us. Mitch was awesome at making sure our designs were exactly what we wanted :) Can’t wait to go back for the next one

I gave Chris some inspiration photos and a general idea of what I wanted and he nailed it! I’m in love with the design and the actual execution was clearly expert level. I got my first tattoo here yesterday with my best friend. It was an orange slice on the back of our arms. I had Ari and my friend had Nick. Dapper Dog should be your go to studio. The shop is in a fantastic location and is full of character. It’s tidy, cool (in this summer heat), with a great atmosphere, and incredibly professional artists.Ari was awesome. She did a few lines of typewriter for me and it’s incredibly clean and neat. I met with Chris, one of the many awesome tattoo artists that work here! I am doing a piece on my back. That tells my life story and what I have been through. He listened to everything that I said and put his own twist on it. It’s going to be epic!! It’s half way done so I am not going to post a pic until it is completed!! I came across the Dapper Dog Tattoo serendipitously, read about the owner Charlie, saw the amazing dog art and knew this was the place for my first (and future) tattoo(s). Charlies shop is friendly, welcoming, clean, and has very talented artists who clearly care about their work and making clients feel comfortable and happy. Charlie walked me through the process, then we had a great conversation while he worked his magic. I am not sure if this is common, but I didnt feel any pain, didnt bleed and didnt even get red (its day two and the same is true!). He had a light touch and incorporated amazing detail from a picture of my pups ink paw print. I LOVE it and am already getting lots of compliments. I highly recommend Dapper Dog Tattoo and Charlie! Looking to get a tattoo? Go to Dapper Dog Tattoo in Annapolis, MD! Stopped by for a consultation and came back a few days later for my tattoo. Artists were knowledgeable and friendly! My tattoo artist, Ari Star was super friendly and made sure I was comfortable for the duration of my appointment. She took the time to make sure my tattoo came out good by asking me for additional photo references to make sure she gets it right so it was all top notch and the care that she put into my tattoo impressed me. She was a rock star!

We stopped in on a whim for a walk-in tattoo and Mitch was stoked to help us. My husband got a trad sparrow which Mitch did an incredible job on and I threw a curveball by asking for a delicate fern - something Mitch normally doesnt do - but he absolutely nailed it.Super clean, great vibes. Stumbled upon Dapper Dog a few months back by chance while spending the day in Annapolis. Walked in and spoke with Chris, about a possible sleeve and the ideas surrounding it. After a few minutes listening to him I was set on returning. So glad I did. He is absolutely amazing, the detail put forth was absolutely incredible! The shop was fantastic, and the other artists there were very friendly, answering questions from walk-ins. Highly recommend these guys!

My favorite tattoo shop! Had two pieces done here so far and decided to only come here because the quality of work is top notched. Recent Boba Fett tattoo was knocked totally out of the park by Chris. Colors were amazing, design was badass, and it healed nicely without any issues. This shop is very clean! Chris was amazing! My wife and I walked in and Chris knocked our tattoos out of the park! His work is fantastic! An artist didn’t have time for what my husband wanted but someone heard what he wanted and jumped on the opportunity to schedule an appointment and create a custom piece. I had been looking for a new school artist to start my 90s cartoon leg sleeve when I came across Josh’ portfolio. I gave him the character I was interested in and gave him free range with design and color palette - and he absolutely killed it!!! I wasn’t getting a tattoo myself, I was just here sitting with my partner while they got a tattoo. Everyone in the shop was super nice, funny, and respectful. Josh did my tattoo! This shop is amazing!! I came with a few girls for a bachelorette party and they were able to get me and two other girls an appt! We had so much fun!! I have tattoos already and this was my first time at this shop. I seen their work on a friend and had to get there!!! We made it this weekend and my wife got a big piece that came out fantastic done by Charles. There is a quarter machine in there for fun tattoos. “ what you get is what you get” This is what I got by artist mich while she was getting worked on. Any artist in there I would definitely let tattoo me as they all produce phenomenal work. Fun, friendly, professional and most important to me clean environment. We will both 100 percent be back. I left a 5-star review earlier in this process, but now that were done, I wanted to come back and leave another, because Id leave 5 stars every day if i could. Chris Ingles was the artist, and he took on the monumental task of covering up the pretty horrible tattoos I had on my chest. Not only that, but I wanted a portrait of my wife and some vibrant folk art designs. Chris knocked it out of the park.I had to reschedule or leave early a couple of times because I suffer from pretty severe vertigo, but Chris never made me feel like a bother. He and Charlie worked with me to be able to sit through the sessions without lying flat on my back. Im sure this wasnt comfortable for Chris, but he never made me feel like I was being annoying or a diva.I cant stress enough how KIND everyone in the shop is. Friendly, welcoming, talented and funny.Im attaching a before and after photo. The results are amazing. I couldnt be happier.

Dapper Dog Tattoo is a cool friendly place. Staff is easy going but professional. My artist, Charlie Garrett had my design ready to go and explained all the steps from prep to finish. I was comfortable during the time it took to do my tat with breaks when needed. When finished I had a fantastic tattoo that was what I wanted, the outline of Texas with three yellow roses. One rose for my momma and one each for my grandmothers. The color is awesome! Once it fully heals the yellow will pop out!Thank you Charlie!

I was lucky enough to be the winner of a holiday raffle for a tattoo by Chris at Dapper Dog! I went in to get a tattoo on my hand…. Chris, had the artwork ready and it was perfect! Having many tattoos over the last 25 years, I was a little worried about the hand, but he made it virtually painless! Have had an idea for a sleeve for a pretty long while now. Happened to walk in to Dapper Dog one day after work and Im incredibly happy I did. Worked with Josh to get started on that idea in my head. Impulsively decided to find a shop for a same day walk-in for a tattoo a bit on the larger size and they fit me in with no hesitation. The shop itself is beautiful, and all the artist there are more than welcoming, very easy going, easy to work with, and genuine. I had Josh take my request for an American traditional piece similar to the pieces I already have done by another artist. He made the stencil before I arrived at the shop and it was exactly what I was looking for, no changes needed. He did an incredible job keeping the color/highlights/line work exactly like the theme of my others. Excited to see what flash events they’ll be having in the future and explore all the different artists’ “want to do” wall art.

This experience was by far the best I have had when getting a tattoo! Not only did Josh make me an amazing design with different techniques and really vivid colors, but he also walked me through the process. He was friendly and personable, answering all my questions along the way. I will certainly be going back for all future tattoos!

Awesome experience! I cant say enough good things about this shop. Parking was a tad tricky (but lets be real, its downtown Annapolis). Other than that, the actual experience was great. The shop is open and clean and welcoming and it has a great vibe. The entire staff was really friendly and overall gave a good vibe to the place. They provided free drinks and snacks during the session which was incredibly helpful. The artist who did my tattoo was Josh and he was incredible. He was so communicative the entire time and he was very flexible with any requests I had. He was attentive to any discomfort I was in and he was great at going with the flow in terms of chatting versus letting me vibe. And I dont think I can say enough about the actual tattoo. He turned my basic idea into something incredible and his work was so detail oriented and wonderful. I will 100% be coming back here and I recommend anyone in the area do the same.

Josh at Dapper Dog was my tattoo artist. He was great. This was my first tattoo so he spent almost an hour with me during my consultation asking me what I wanted and he talked through his process and what to expect. He created an amazing piece based on my very basic things that I wanted incorporated. The process of getting the tattoo was easy and well organized. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed. From initial idea discussions, to drawing and revisions, then the actual tattoo process I felt truly listened to and can say with confidence that the team of artists are total pros. Chris did a realistic peony flower on my forearm and it is absolutely stunning. The amount of detail in every petal is insane and the colors are breathtaking. Ari was absolutely amazing! I contacted her for a walk in appointment and a flash tattoo. The shop was welcoming and professional. They seem to be pretty busy, and I got lucky there was room for a walk in. Highly recommend checking the shop, and Ari, out!

Amazing tattoos! My son got his first tattoo from Chris. Chris worked really hard to get the design my son wanted and it turned out so cool!I wanted a Skyrim dragon and Josh knew exactly what I was looking for. Both look even better in person.Definitely a great experience for us both and I would highly recommend anyone there. They are a great group and really seem to work well together and have a good time in the studio.

Found the shop on google and called to do a walk-in on a whim one week—I ended up finding Mitch. I absolutely will continue to come him until my arms are finished. His attention to detail and overall personality is chefs kiss. The shop overall is a great and clean environment with other amazing artists that could fit anyone’s personality and style preference. 100% recommend.

The entire process from my first email response to the consultation to the tattoo appointment itself was nothing but the most professional and pleasant experience it could have been. Charlie does amazing work, and took great care of me! From what I could tell by being there for nearly 8 hours, every single artist there is a professional, and does great work. I was so excited when I found this place after going through the artist’s instagram and finding out it a queer owned business. They have wonderful visiting artists. Sayana was one of them and she did a wonderful job. I had Max tattoo one of his Flash designs for Pride and I love it. I can wait to get more ink from him and the other Artists here!

Would HIGHLY recommend this tattoo shop to anyone interested in getting all sorts of work done.
