I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this tattoo shop. The owner and tattoo artist were both very personable. I booked a free tattoo consultation through the website, and with that they ask you to attach reference or inspo images. When I arrived to the shop, the artist asked for more clarity on the design, and put it together then. Once we came to a design we were happy with, since there was availability that day, the tattoo was done then! It turned out even better than I had imagined going into the consult. The artist is talented, and the owner, who also does personal makeup, is attentive and involved as well. I would most definitely recommend this studio if you are anywhere in the area! The shop is a very welcoming atmosphere as well.

Petro and Michelle were great. The environment and vibe made the trip worth it. They both were willing to listen and offer suggestions for any questions I had.

I have used many of their services here, from piercing to fine line tattoos! Avanti is the best and the crew is so wonderful to hang out with. If you are looking for a fine line work 10/10 recommend.

Petro did an amazing job on my piece. I asked for three separate flowers that I was looking to get done on my left forearm. He sketched them up in a beautiful arraignment that I truly didn’t expect. The line work is precise and bold, while the detail is exceptional. Will be going back in a couple weeks to get more work done on the other forearm, as well as getting some more designs set up for down the road.

Big shoutout to Chris Defiant at Avanti Tattoo for getting my husband and I scheduled and for following up with great tattoos while we were on vacation in the area! I am heavily tattooed, and the piece Chris put on me is one of my favorites of all time. We will continue to follow Chris, and we already have plans to schedule appointments when we are in the area again. Chris was professional, the shop was very clean, and prices were reasonable. I went to Avanti to have an old tattoo covered up. Petro was so helpful from the very beginning. We discussed options to have the best coverage and I am so thrilled with the result. His detail is amazing and I can’t even tell I had an old tattoo. I’ve been hesitant to do this since covering an old tattoo can be challenging but Petro made the whole process seamless and easy. I absolutely love my new tat!

I love this shop. I came last year before ownership changed and really enjoyed it, but Michelle and Petro made it a great experience with just positive energy, and easy to have good conversation! Got a side neck coverup. Now I’ve been to other artist for other cover ups before and they always tell me it’s gotta BIG and BLACK/DARKYeah no, Petro covered mine fully and was even able to add bright bold colors (I love color tattoos)Dudes got serious skills. Extremely satisfied.

Aman and his team are the best! Avanti Tattoo is the premiere shop in Eagle County! They offer a sanitary/sterilized environment and produce individualized/custom work; truly a group of professional artists. The shop is conveniently located in Vail, has a super cool/modern/contemporary ambiance, and provides a unique experience. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.

Such a great first tattoo experience! Curtis was so nice and easy to work with. I only wish I had gotten more control over the design. I sent an email a couple days in advance to get proofs but the tattoo didn’t get drawn until the day of. It’s not exactly what we wanted but still super nice!

Amazing experience with Chris and Curtis! A high school friend and I walked in asking for a small tattoo each. Chris was patient with designing my tattoo even after I asked him to redraw (I can be one of those 😬) Line work is beautiful after healing and I appreciated the lighter touch in Chriss tattooing.

I went in for a Friday 13th flash tattoo. I believe the work speaks for itself. I did go in and talk to the artist to get it worked on again, and he was willing to try again. I am not willing to try again. The linework has dissappeared, the color is not saturated. I do not recommend this experience.

Preston was amazing! He very patiently answered my many questions while helping me figure out exactly what I wanted for a nose piercing replacement. Would definitely return in the future.

I am a local to Eagle County and have gotten two tattoos at Avanti since I moved here. Each was done by a different artist but both were very positive experiences. The artists working at Avanti are friendly and welcoming and make the tattoo experience a positive one. Along with this, they are easy to schedule an appointment with and I appreciate that.

First tattoo done by Curtis, who I immediately trusted based on how long hes been doing this bc I admit I was a bit nervous! But it came out exactly how I wanted. Ill be back for another soon enough!Edit 6/28/21: Taking a couple stars bc it seems to have faded a lot over the past few months without me having done anything to it (done in January now its almost July). Still extremely happy that I have it, just not sure about the quality of the ink maybe? Also had my roommate go in for a tattoo that covered almost the whole back of her upper arm, and my tattoo ($150 total) was so expensive compared to the color and sheer size she received for $225. Maybe she paid less for a different artist?

I am absolutely thrilled with my experience with AVANTI and Petro. It was such a chill experience and the quality is top notch! I’m already planning on reaching back out in a week or so to get something else done right away. I will always recommend Petro to anyone looking for quality ink with an awesome, down to earth artist. I’m so glad that my friends and I stopped at this shop instead of wrapping up our weekend at the last day of X Games. We had quite the weekend and were looking for something that would wrap up our trip with a bow and Avanti was exactly that. We called in for a couple walk in ideas and the crew and staff were so welcoming of the idea and we all engaged in the best conversation with the Owner while getting zapped. This stop truly made our entire trip and I’m so glad we made the spontaneous decision to grab a tattoo specifically from this shop. If you are in the area, stop and go admire this amazing shop! Truly a sweet place to know.

My friend and I were referred to Avanti by a satisfied customer. We made a consultation appointment with Curtis, at which he expressed understanding of our request and also made time in his weekend schedule to create our tattoos before we left town.It was my first tattoo, Curtis was very calming, explained everything and proceeded slowly to ensure I was comfortable. Great experience with a nostril piercing with Chris! I was a little nervous but Chris made me feel comfortable and answered all my concerns. It was over very quickly and I love the result!

I got my nipple piercings here and I was pierced with a barbell that was way too short in length and it wasn’t a straight barbell and if you know anything about piercings when the barbell isn’t straight healing is complicated and never happens correctly this of course led to a lot of discomfort and I had to get them switched out at another piercing shop.(As soon as the other piercer saw the barbell she explained how length and the barbell being straight is important) I moved away from the Valley a couple of weeks after so there was no reason to return to this shop. It was outrageously expensive as well $50 deposit + $60 per piercing all for it to be done incorrectly! oh btw one of the owners pierced me white guy with dreads.

A great find for me. The owner Chris met with me first for a free consult and was ready for me at the scheduled time with a stencil already made. They had a very experienced guest artist Petro in from out of town so I agreed to let him do the work, and I could not be more happy with the result. Meghan (Chris’s wife) was so nice and just made me feel like part of the gang hanging out while Petro did the work over two hours. The shop was clean and cool to hang out in. If you are in or around Avon-Vail and are thinking about a tattoo, this is the place to go!!!

I got my nose pierced last friday by Chris, and had an incredible experience. I have 3 other body piercings, from different shops, and had bad experiences with all of them. Chris was able to talk me through every little thing, what each piece of equipment he was using is for, and when it would touch my face, etc. Though this should be the bare minimum, I’ve had piercers who do nothing of the sort, and Chris made the whole process very comfortable. He also went through detailed steps of aftercare, and checked out a different piercing i’ve been concerned about, even though I did not get it done there. The whole shop has such an incredible vibe, and just felt safe and clean. They are super professional and friendly in all the best ways, and I would 10/10 recommend. I couldn’t have asked for anything better

Chris has assisted me on two different occasions with swapping out jewelry from piercings I already had. The first time I went in was for an urgent assist with my week-old tongue piercing, so they had me come in without an appointment and Chris squeezed me in between scheduled clients. While I was waiting, the whole staff were so welcoming and friendly. I really enjoyed listening them banter with each other and the customers, me included. Just really lovely people all around. (And the tattoos I saw while I was waiting were absolutely beautiful.)When it was my turn, Chris never for a second made me feel like an inconvenience or like he was rushing to get me out the door. He is so kind, knowledgeable, and generous with his time and advice. Thats why I went back to him when I was ready for a jewelry swap. I cant wait to pierce something else so I can have him do it!I will absolutely go back and I would recommend Avanti, and specifically Chris as a piercer, to anyone.

Just got a tattoo done there this morning. Love this shop. Really clean, professional atmosphere. Love the way theyve decorated the place. Curtis, the artist who did my tattoo, super professional, friendly, and did five-star quality work. I requested a couple adjustments to the lettering and he was friendly and honored them with no problem. Love finally having a tattoo shop in Vail, especially one with good vibes and treats their clients good!

My husband and I got tattoos here on our vacation and are very pleased! Curtis was with us the whole time and did a fine job of managing our time and his, especially with some walk-in customers. He was efficient and personable, which we appreciated. The shop was very clean and well-decorated, stocked with some cool merch!

Chris is incredible and made me feel super comfortable regarding my piercing. The shop is so clean and inviting. Prices are reasonable and I’ll always pay more for such a high quality. Will certainly be back!

Curtis did an absolutely excellent job putting my favorite band’s logo on my forearm. The accuracy is incredible and the quality of the line work is amazing. Definitely can’t wait to get another piece done by him! Great atmosphere in the shop as well!

Chris is AWESOME !! we walked in over labor day weekend and were able to get a nose piercing and a tattoo for my husband. I was nervous as it was my first nostril piercing but my nerves were soon calmed thanks to Chris’ exceptional experience and personality! Great atmosphere I would love to book for a septum piercing in the future :)

For starters I have many tattoos and have been to several different shops with different artists, so if you are looking for the most amazing place to get your ink done then look no further. Avanti Tattoo is very clean very up to date and not to mention the staff is off the charts. Everyone is so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The owner Aman is very passionate about creating a fun, comfortable and sanitary experience for his clientele.I just recently decided to start the finishing stages of my full arm sleeve with Jake (Jacob James) and I am absolutely blown away. His work is off the charts and hands down the best work I’ve ever seen. He is so talented and will now be the only person to be putting ink on my skin. It’s only stage one of who knows how many to finish my sleeve and I’ve already had people stopping me in the street asking me who did my tattoo. He specializes in realism, loves to tattoo animals and is great with either black white and grey, but also amazing with color. I told him he could have free rein of my arm with a list of things that I love and what he has come up with thus far is mind blowing.This is the only place you should be getting tattoos hands down. I see went in for a jewelry change and was given an incorrect size of jewelry for my nose without being consulted first. I am extremely disappointed. I have ALWAYS had body piercers explain everything every step of the way. I wasnt asked what size hoop I wanted and after the change, I said it was a lot bigger than what I wanted and the piercer said that they didnt have the right size so he went with the bigger hoop that they did have. Like tell me that beforehand! Now, Im stuck with this in my nose until I can go to Denver in a few weeks and have it changed.Giving it 3 stars instead of 1 because the other pieces for my ear turned out fine.EDIT: My nose was measured, but it was not explained to me at all how it would fit on my face. I came in with the smallest possible stud and left with a too big hoop for my style and nose.I also wasnt show the sterilization strip, which should have been my indication to run.

This place is super dope, hella clean, and they do great work! Ben did an amazing job on my tattoo, he had a soft hand so it was not bad at all, and he was good to talk too. Not to mention I absolutely love his the art he put on my body. Definitely coming back, the Vail Valley is lucky to have this little gem.

Made an appointment with my friend to get birthday tattoos since I was coming to Colorado to visit. We originally booked with one artist to do back to back and he didnt keep in contact with us then asked 10 days later again what was being done. So we switched artist to do the same, he met with my buddy and everything seemed good. I was told to send him a message which is did through Instagram and never heard a word. I assumed everything was good and go to drop my buddy off for his and the artist completely forgot to draw mine up and told my friend he wouldnt have time today to do mine and to come back in a few days. Im here on limited time and the artist/shop didnt even apologize or anything. This was by far the WORST tattoo shop experience Ive ever had. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I came here to get my septum pierced, the guy took one look at my nose and turned me away saying there wasnt enough room. I almost didnt get the piercing at all after he said that since I figured it couldnt be done. They were also charging $100 just for the piercing alone, not the jewelry. It didnt look very clean in there either. Anyways it was totally rude and unprofessional because I went to another pierce shop just down the street and they were able to do the piercing no problem and were charging $35 less for the service. Wouldnt recommend this place, going just down the street youll get better service and a better price.

Ive had several tattoos done at Avanti Tattoo. This is the where to go tattoo shop. Don’t go to Kings they might not answer your emails or help after you went and a tattoo from them. In Avanti they do both just ask the person who is answering they will gladly help you.
