Ive gotten tattooed multiple times here, Zoe is who I go to and highly recommend! Shes absolutely amazing at her job and very talented! Shes also so so kind and helpful very chill! Mean Street Tattoo: Friendly Vibes, Beautiful Art, and Top-Notch Service!Despite the name, theres nothing mean about Mean Street Tattoo! The moment I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the super nice and beautifully decorated interior. The artwork inside is stunning, and everyone there was incredibly friendly.I came in to get new tragus earrings, and being the indecisive person I am, I needed some help. The lady assisting me was extremely patient. She didnt rush me at all and showed me all the options, explaining the different pricing and giving me detailed information about the jewelry.When it was time to get my earrings, Isabella (I believe that was her name) took over. She was super sweet, gave me a heads-up before she approached, and was very thorough and kind throughout the process. I really appreciated her gentle and professional demeanor.I’ll definitely be going back for more piercings. Plus, Im bringing my friend for their next ink! Mean Street Tattoo is a 10 out of 10 – I totally recommend it!The only reason I gave it a four out of five is because I only got my earrings changed out and I didn’t get any tattoos or piercings.

I set up an appointment with the artist Zoe there for a forearm tattoo. Upon entering the store everyone said Hi or Hey! And then walked me through the paperwork necessary for the tattoo. Zoe cane down and brought me to the artist room, very clean and fun designs too, where she had everything set up already. Very sterile and organized. She put on some music and we talked most of time she worked. It was a ball!! So much fun, and then we completed the artwork was amazing!! 100% recommend and I will definitely be going back for more work when I can.

Awesome place, great piercers! Got my 10month old daughter’s ears pierced by JR. Got numerous ear piercings for myself by JR and Isabella. No issues with healing. Everything was smooth. Going back there in a couple of weeks for some more helix piercings 😄😅

I got my belly button pierced here and everyone was so nice. It was my first time getting a piercing done at a tattoo shop and they walked me through everything with what jewelry was going to be used, the different types of jewelry, the piercing process, and after care. The piercer was nice and he did such a good job explaining everything. The shop was very clean and all the jewelry was very high quality. i’m very happy with the piercing and i’ll definitely be going back

Amazing experience! My 7 year old got her ears pierced and was put at ease the moment we walked in. Very professional, clean, and patient. We will definitely return when my younger daughter wants her ears pierced too.

Mean Street is the best. Period. I frequent the shop for piercings and body mods, and no one is better than JohnRoss. Im terrified of needles and react on a scale of cold sweats to vomiting- I am so much worse that pretty much all of the kids there with their parents for ear piercings 😂- but between piercings and body mods, Ive been poked eleven times (13, if you count two that I needed to get unembedded), and JR never fails to handle my nonsense with endless patience, kindness, and also top-tier work. Ten out of five stars; get your piercings and such, here. (PS: Im a transwoman, and Mean Street is absolutely a safe space.)

I went for a nose piercing and everything went super smooth. CJ is great at want he does, hes friendly, a good talker and explained everything clearly and concisely.I had my nose pierced at a different shop a decade back, although it wasnt a bad job, it wasnt as comfortable or quick.If youre looking for a piercing in or around the Bensalem area, hit up Mean Street, they know whats up.

So the people who worked here were very nice and all but they claimed that cj the piercer was very talented and professional and all and so I go and get two more lobe piercings on each side (I originally had one lobe piercing) and so I’m in there shaking, fiddling with my phone and stuff etc bc I’m very nervous because I only got my ears pierced when I was one years old and I didn’t know if it was gonna hurt bad or not, so I get called back to a room and the receptionist thought that I only wanted two extra lobe piercings on one side or something and so we had to fix that out and find more jewelry and stuff for it and so cj is marking my ears and stuff and at the time I’m sitting there tryna not have a panic attack and then he asks if the placement of the marks was fine and I was really nervous so I said yeah and so we continue on and he puts earrings for cartilage in my ears and at the time I didn’t know but my stepmom is an rn and she gets a lot of ear piercings and some facial piercings and so she notices that my piercings are not semtrical on my ears so that was one mistake and next my right ear starts to puff up bad and is leaking puss and blood (I’m not sure if this is my fault or their fault or the fact that the jewelry isn’t like gold cause I have bad reactions to fake jewelry) and so now my tonsillar lymph node is swollen to the point that my cheek hurts so bad and I can’t eat food on the right side of my mouth and also I forgot to say that my top lobe piercings were so big that the actual earring popped right through my piercing. So honestly my overall rating was like a 3.5 because of all the pain and crying over how bad my ear hurts and the embarrassment of the piercings not being semetrical and I know it might seem like I’m overreacting. IM NOT! I have major social anxiety so it’s embarrassing for me. And the jewelry going through my piercing and just all the pain and agony that I’ve gone through with my right side of my ear it’s just too damn much.

Reed was amazing all around. his work is absolutely gorgeous and the appointment couldn’t have gone better. so happy that my family recommended me to go to him. I highly recommend Reed. he’s light handed and takes his time with the tattoo. his personality was amazing as well. I will definitely be going back to Reed in the future!

I went to Izzy for my two piercings. She is amazing and made me feel 100% comfortable, as did Ryan. They both did my piercings together yesterday. I highly recommend Izzy and Ryan for any of your piercing needs. I have yet to get a tattoo here, but if I do, Ill definitely post another review for that experience.

Great place! Very chilled atmosphere. Workers are very nice and helpful. Went to get an earring changed, then decided to get a piercing, ended up with 2 piercings afterward! Im super happy with the results!

Just got a tattoo from mean street tattoos. Went with a compass in the polka trash style. Work was done by Mike Madison. I can’t say enough of how much I love his work. He took my ideas and made art that went above and beyond my expectations. The studio is clean and nicely set up. The staff were all friendly and the wait wasn’t long. Price was very reasonable and Mike works like a champ. Looking for some art? Definitely try Mean Street. (Disclaimer- the work is 5 minutes old)

This place is clean, the people are respectful. and the tattoos are all fire, definitely drop by if you want something nice & fly.

Highly recommend Mean Street Tattoos for piercing childrens earlobes. The backing of my daughters earring was backing into (inside) the earhole (earrings bought at a different place) and she was in quite some pain. Tough situation for a child and parent. JR came in and knew exactly what to do. He removed it quickly and inserted a titanium earring that was suitable for her ear. All tools were sterilized and cleaned. Soon after we left she was feeling better and was much happier . Thank you JR!

Isabella did my flat and tragus piercing and guided me through the whole process from choosing jewelry to thoroughly explaining aftercare. She was amazing and made me feel so comfortable!!

The girl who sold my little sister a gift card was so RUDE for no reason. She rolled her eyes at my sister who was just trying to add more funds to a Christmas gift card, and ripped the receipt out of her hands. If you can’t handle working during the holidays, then don’t! There was no reason for her to be so rude especially when my sister was being patient with her for not understanding that she just needed to add more money to a previously bought gift card. I have been to Mean Street before to get piercings and always recommend them. But now I know who I will make sure to let people know NOT to go to when coming here. Again nothing against Mean Street but this girl was mean for no reason.

I was looking for a tattoo to memoralize the passing of my wife, I explained that to the young lady at the counter and she recommended Reed McAlister. I mad the appt and then emailed Reed a picture of an idea I had, I told him to put his ideas into the tattoo. I gave him particulars of what I wanted incorporated in the tattoo and Reed came up with what you see in the picture. Reed incorporated everything I wanted all the way down to my wifes actual last heartbeat. Reeds artistic rendition of what I wanted was spot on and much, much more. Reed not only put his artistic ideas into the tattoo, but he also made it personal with feeling. I could not ask for anything more. Reed as a person and artist, he is awesome. Polite, Sociable, Professional, extremely clean and patient. Reed made me feel very comfortable and kept checking on me to see if I needed a break. I Like and appreciate Reed as a person and artist, I recommend Reed to anyone looking for their first Tattoo or adding one to their collection. In fact I will be making an appt for another tattoo .

Got my nostril pierced here on my birthday! CJ was my piercer and he was absolutely amazing, he made me feel very comfortable and the whole process was done in about 5 minutes. The lady at the front desk was amazing with helping my pick my jewelry and her drawings were amazing! My sister, mother, and grandpa get all their piercings done here. Me and my friends went to this place to get piercings and when I say I’ve never spent that much on piercings!!! My belly piercing was $130!! My friends love piercings were $213 and the guy who pierced us was extremely ignorant and very passive with his comments! Never going back

I didnt go and get a tattoo or piercing but JR is a great guy and hooked me up again with a ball replacement for my septum piercing I already had. I dont have any piercing plans right now but if I did I absolutely would go to him and recommend him solely based on my interactions with him. Very down to earth and easy to talk to.

My daughter got her septum pierced here last year, and its been over a year now that she has had her piercing so she decided to change her ring, however the jewelry she purchased last night she did not like so she decided to put her original ring back in and she could not get the ball back on and she dropped it and couldnt find the ball, she called today to ask what she could do about it and if she could come in to get a new one and the woman that answered the phone was rude. My daughter asked what was a good time to come in and she said not today. Poor customer service!! And its really sad that we live in a time were everyone is not happy in there job and and that have to be rude!

I went into the shop about a year ago with no appointment and with a nose piercing that was completely covered. Isabella was able to take me and basically performed surgery on my piercing. It’s a year later and my piercing has healed completely and it’s all thanks to her!

I called up today at 4:00 pm and they squeezed me in on the very last appointment at 5:00 pm. Walked in, really nice girl at the counter and she got me all set up. I got in the chair in the back and had JR piercing both my ears. I gotta say, JR is a super chill and nice guy. This dude is accurate, confident, and professional with his work. I am very pleased with the outcome although it was so small and simple, definitely made my day today. Thank you so much JR, much love my dude! 5 Stars all the way, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Loved the location, plenty of parking spaces, plenty of jewelry to choose from. Took my mom to get her Rook Piercing, piercer did a great job! Wasn’t very talkative but wasn’t a big issue. I Loved it and she Loved it! We went on her birthday. We will be back for her next rook piercing after this one heals properly.

My experience at Mean Street Tattoo was incredible. I called on the Friday after Thanksgiving hoping to get an appointment within the month but was asked if I wanted to come in the next day. The receptionist was very sweet and helpful with pricing/what would work best for my ears. When I was in the waiting area, the calls were non-stop for requests for piercings (a good sign that people trusted them) and saw an infant getting their ears pierced.Mantis, my piercer, was very professional, clean, and meticulous with his work. He did measurements, prepped the site, and re-checked with me if I liked the placements. He helped to reassure me that everything would be fine (this was just my second lobe piercing) and helped me breathe through each pierce. Afterwards, he cleaned the area and gave the usual instructions on how to care for them. I would totally get more piercings from Mantis!I recommend Mean Street Tattoos -- it was very clean, priced fairly, and the employees were very sweet and friendly.

This was the best tattoo and piercing experience Ive ever had! I came from out of state to come see Kate and she is absolutely worth the trip!! I am so thrilled by how my tattoo came out--she worked within my budget, was convenient to schedule with and, most importantly of all, designed and drew the perfect tattoo for me!! She was so easygoing and sweet and I am definitely planning to go back for more work in the future. My friend came up with me and worked with JR on some piercings and he was very patient with her and helped her figure out a piercing that would work for her (shes got weird ears!). My husband took my 3 year old daughter today to J R for her to get her ears pierced. Only one adult could go because of covid which was fine. My husband stated he was so professional. Everything was very clean and JR explained everything and made my daughter feel very comfortable. We knew going on a Sunday he would be the only one piercing which was fine. The first ear she didn’t even move and took it like a champ, the second hurt a little. We would recommend him to anyone. I’m so glad I didn’t my research and took her there. This shop was recommended to me through my usual shop (Infinite Body Piercing), and I came here to get my young daughter’s ears pierced. I called ahead and JR talked me through what was needed, the cost, and any other info. The whole shop is very clean and professional. JR did the piercing, and he did such a great job talking with my daughter and making her feel comfortable about the process. My 6 year old daughter just got her ears pierced by JR and another piercer at the same time. I highly recommend them!! I had a really great experience here. The shop was extremely sanitary and my piercer Mantis was extremely well mannered. My septum is deviated and we weren’t super thrilled on the first outcome, but ultimately I left happy after redoing it and getting double nostrils done as well. The experience was a good one for sure and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a professional job well done.

Im glad I went here for my eyebrow piercing. Super clean, very high-quality jewelry, proper procedures. If I had called ahead of time before I went I wouldve tipped more cause they definitely deserve it. The price of it was a little high yes but thats because the jewelry they use is top notch- its 100% worth it. Just left a hour ago. It took me a while to find a good place who isnt overly booked and has great artist. The experience here was awesome. I highly recommend them!!!. Taco was my artist, great sketching work and the finish was even better!!! Staff overall were great as well. I will definitely comeback for more tattoos.

I first visited the shop for Jewelry Change with Mantis, a friend of mine wanted to get a piercing so I booked her an appointment after confirming with her. We went the next week. I really only went for moral support. LOL as any one that has piercings knows we do what we always do and get pierced too! The piercer was JR and he was totally cool. great personality, very personable and it was his day off. He was only in the shop to catch up on paperwork. JR you ROCK my friend TJ loves her piercing and of course I love my additions to my family of piercings. The other staff members were very nice, the studio followed all protocol and took precautions. He helped me pick out a nice piece of nose jewelry and also put it in for me. He instructed me how to take care of the piercing. I have been going to Mean Street since they had their little shop on Street Road across from Kohls. They are so Awesome! It has been so long. I LOVE MIKE AND HIS STAFF IS ALWAYS COMPLETELY TOP NOTCH!This time I went to have my tongue holes and my labret piercing when I metMannis! I was so taken not only by his professionalism but his knowledge. The reguard of how i felt and clean.... It was sparkling clean!He was so gentle. I will be back.

My 6 year old daughter had her ears pierced at Mean Street Tattoos. It was an amazing experience. Everyone was so nice and professional. We tried to get her ears pierced at a mall about a year ago but didnt go well. She cried so much from the pain the piercing gun caused, she didnt want to have it done to the other ear. We ended up taking out the earring from the ear she did have pierced a few minutes later. This time there were no tears! This is the best place to go if you want your child to have the best experience possible with getting their ears pierced.

Loved my experience. Only came for a nostril piercing but I would def go back. Mantis was awesome, very nice and informative and made me feel super comfortable. Very clean and well kept. Went in to get the opinion of another person who does piercings and he was super helpful and very nice. Plan on going back in a few weeks to have the piercings done. I will say theyre a tad more expensive than other places around.

My piercer’s name was Mantis, and they did a great job piercing my nose. They were extremely kind, and explained aftercare thoroughly! I would definitely come back again for any piercings needs in the future!

Worst Tattoo ever. Wasn’t even remotely what I asked for. I had to have it redone completely and it’s still terrible. Paco shouldn’t be allowed to operate a tattoo needle! I went here because of the reputation of other shop artists… big mistake. If I could give less than one star, I would! Normally, I don’t leave bad reviews, but I’m hoping to stop someone elseFrom making the same mistake I did…

CJ was wonderful! I have had my ears pierced numerous times in the same spot. CJ was able to find a path through and get me setup with new earrings.

Had my first tattoo done by Kate and the entire experience was incredible from the consultation to the end result. The parlor was clean and everything was sterile and single use. They note any allergies and medications taken ahead of time, always checking in to ensure the client is doing well. I’ll be going back for any future work for sure!

Reed did my wedding ring .. he was kind, attentive to details, and paid attention to the fact that was my very first tattoo. He was professional and very quick. I wanted a slight change and came back a few days later, made the change, and once again thanked me for my coming in. All around this place is just nice. From when you walk in to when you go get work done the staff who I interacted with were awesome. Went to MANY other shops where people treated me like a I was a waste of their time. Dont waste your time and money at the other places. Even though its further out then most spots, it is worth the drive. Thank you Reed appreciate you!

My friends and I went into our appointments excited after talking to the nice receptionist but Taco ruined it as soon as we got there. He was rude from the start and treated us very poorly. He could not have acted less interested during the stencil placement and even the tattoo process. He was very heavy handed and we all agreed that it was the most painful tattoo we’d ever gotten. Although my tattoo turned out the way I wanted it to, he wouldn’t let me see the stencil before starting and I now have a bruise on my arm where my tattoo is. Taco does not deserve the $100 minimum he has.

Made an appointment and had my nipple pierced here. Clean shop, very friendly staff, good price. I recommend Mantis, who did my piercing. He did an excellent job.

Ive had my experiences before as a walk in with other shops and Ive always felt brushed off, a quick in and out but here, I didnt feel like that! I dont remember the name of the woman that greeted me but both ladies were very knowledgeable about what I was asking and not trying to up-sell me. Julia took her time and made sure I was comfortable and even complimented the moles on my face. She even provided her phone number so I can reach out if I had any questions. This was such a pleasant experience. I hope to come back! Thank you both so much!

Took our 16 month old here to get her ears pierced. Everyone was so good with her, calm and patient. It took a little longer than expected because she is a wiggle worm. My husband and I both said we would go back for ourselves.

If youre looking for a tattoo place in the Buxco area, I cant recommend Mean Street enough! My family and I have gotten a total of 17 tattoos from artists Kate and Reed, and each experience has been a pleasure. Everyone that works here is super friendly, accommodating and professional. The studio is always clean and the space has great energy!

Kate Irvine is the artist, she does an incredible job. Really artistic all her tattoos are beautiful. Shes really easy to talk to and her room is a decent size if you need a hand holding buddy. Overall amazing experience

I had my tattoo done by Reed. It’s my first tattoo and has so much meaning to me. Planning everything was simple and easy and he was super understanding. While getting the tattoo done I felt comfortable and happy. His personality I think was perfect for that situation cuz within minutes I wasn’t nervous anymore, he made a few funny remarks that made me feel better lol. He was quick and amazingly precise. The tattoo itself is amazing. I’m so happy with it. I got it done in September and it’s been about 5-6 weeks and I’m sooo happy. Highly recommend!

Whatever you do don’t let them change out your piercing. They changed mine and I have had nothing but issues since. Dried up blood all inside my nose and now my nose is swollen. The guy was not easy with it. It’s been about 2 weeks since the changing.

JR is everything! Hands down the best piercer I’ve come across. I wouldn’t want to go to anyone else. The tattoo artists are very talented as well, I’ll be back next month to see Kate for a shoulder piece!

Mean Street is an amazing shop! They have done both my tattoos (one cover up on an old tat, and a large backpiece) and they have both turned out fantastic! I get compliments from everyone from anytime its shown. They have done most of my piercings as well. Its clean, the staff is beyond professional, and the patient comforting manner is excellent. Id recommend them to anyone looking for amazing ink work in the area.

Reed was excellent. His skill and craft have gotten me many compliments. The tattoo healing was super smooth and quick also. Pricey...but you pay for quality!!

J.R. is the baby whisperer. I took my 6 month old to have her ears pierced with him. He is patient and does everything on baby time. He explains everything you need to know. The shop is clean and the artists & piercers are all top notch. Ive waited for the best and J.R. is just that. The shop can be hopping so call ahead. J.R. is off Tuesday & Wednesdays. As a psa dont forget tip your piercer/artist. Id recommend the shop to my fellow moms & friends.

Taco designed an awesome tattoo for me today. It was way above and beyond my expectations. He was very friendly and did a great job. The place was very clean and everyone I met was friendly and helpful. I will be going back.

Amazing place, I was having a complication with my 3rd ear piercing (not pierced here), and they were able to fix it and put the piercing back in no problem. Also changed my nose ring without any pain either, amazing experience 10/10

Amazing Staff. As it was my daughter that was getting her piercings, JR was fantastic with her. Very meticulous and dedicated to perfection. The shop was immaculate. Not enough can be said about this place.

Was awful! They wouldnt let me get my belly button pierced just because I was with my aunt and her name wasnt on my birth certificate. And Im almost 18. I even showed them my ID. I went to Way Out later that day, and got pierced with no problem. I dont recommend Mean Street to teens who want a simple piercing with no problem. Go to Way Out Piercing Place. Theyre very nice! And will pierce you right away!

I got my nipples pierced by Brandon and J.R. They were both super professional and did a great job explaining how everything was going to go so that I would be more relaxed. The shop was very clean and had a very calm atmosphere!

I got tattooed by Kate Irvine and it was a phenomenal experience from start to finish. She worked with me on a design concept that was difficult to explain and somehow brought it to life in such an artistic and beautiful way. I could not be happier. I recommend her and Mean Street whole heartedly.

The dude taco was unprofessional towards my wife when getting her tattoo. He didnt really care about doin the best work bc it wasnt something he was into, which last I checked u go to an artist to do the best they can or even have input on how to make ur tat dope. No passion from the dude. His line work wasnt the best and didnt due what he was told for the main part of the tattoo. Would not recommend getting anything done by him. Wasnt happy that my wife came home upset an disappointed

Finally had my tragus pierce today with J.R . My experience was great didnt hurt at all. J.R was very nice and patient. The shop was very clean and inviting. Girl at the front desk was very sweet Will diffinately visit again.

The cross and index finger is the work Mike performed. I walked in and was served in a timely fashion. It was the first tattoo studio Ive been too that had a smooth vibe. I didnt feel oppressed from the energy as I have in previous studios. Mike has a light touch and a very clean work space.

The business itself was nice, the lady at the front was very professional and nice. My tattoo artist was polite but I’m extremely disappointed in my tattoo. The lines are all crooked and don’t meet, it’s so bad I don’t want to show anyone and just keep it covered until I can find someone who can fix it.

I made an appt with this place for 3:00pm on a weekend. I saw a mom and daughter go in when I pulled up early at about 2:30 so I waited until 2:45 then called before just walking in. They told me to wait in my car and theyd call me when to come in. The mom & daughter left a little after 3 so I assumed they needed some time to sanitize, no big deal. Then 4 oclock rolls around and I was still waiting for a call. By 4:15 I left. Screw that. When you make an appointment you expect for the service to be given and you take time out of your day to be there. It was a waste of my evening.

Just FYI, this is my second written review. I’m not one to write reviews... Before walking into Mean Street I was just over at Trublue tattoo. I was referred by Jackie. She told me to go see JR. I walked in this place and inquired about lip piercings. The girl at the front couldn’t help me. She couldn’t answer two questions I had. She just had a blank look on her face and kept saying, “I don’t know”. She had to go interrupt the artist to come out to the front and answer my questions. It would have been my first piercing other than my ears. The girl had no knowledge of anything it seems like. She handed me over the small jewelry display so that I can pick which piercing I would like to go with. I slightly tilted the small display of lip piercings so that I can see the dimensions and out of nowhere she rudely says to me, “Don’t do that!” And she says it again while shaking her head no. So then I ask her, “Don’t do what?” She says you’re gonna make them fall out. I honestly had no idea. I just thought this was just a display and I assumed they were stuck to the display. If you’re gonna hand this over to someone you might wanna give them a heads up. Some people like to see things up close and some people like to feel things... After that I just didn’t feel comfortable. And I felt like she was rushing me to pick something. It was just so awkward afterwards. So I left. I never give my money to people who have no idea what they’re doing and especially to rude people.

Jeff Saunders did my first tattoo and its unreal. I get compliments from whoever sees it and hes very reasonably priced. The shop is super clean and everybody there is very helpful and kind.

JR did my nostril over a year ago, and Brandon did my rook last night. Very happy with both piercings and the piercers!! I’ll be back for more!

I just recently got tattooed by a tattoo artist here named Taco. He was the most unprofessional, pushy person I’ve ever met. But the owner quickly resolved my issue with professionalism and I appreciated it!

My 3.5 year old wanted to get her ears pierced. The process was wonderful. No fear or crying. The guy was awesome. It was just really expensive.
