My experience at Art Machine Productions Tattoo was amazing. Very clean and friendly shop. Adam “Bozebor” Chmielewski was great to work with from the first consultation discussing the cover up tattoo to all three sessions working on the tattoo. He is always available to work on changes and get back to you very quickly. He is very easy to talk with developing your tattoo ideas. My tattoo is coming out incredible and better than I could have imagined. I drive from out of state to see Adam and can’t wait for more work with him in the future. Seth at Art Machine is an amazing artist! Im a huge video game nerd so when I have an idea thats gaming related, Seth is the go-to guy for me. Hes personable and has a great tableside manner. I genuinely appreciate being able to chat about games and anime while he works.And his work is incredible! He takes the time to make sure placement and orientation for the piece is perfect...cannot reccomend him enough!The chain whip from Castlevania and the Boo/Gengar are all him...will absolutely be back for more work.

Great vibes and super comfy + professional + clean. Adam (@bozebor)is my go-to man. I travel from out of state to visit him here and would recommend him and the group to anyone. He works with me on my crazy ideas and turns them into art. He even renders them on a 3D model which adds to my confidence in the style and customization to my leg.

I recently sat at Art Machine for my first tattoo with Adam Chmielewski. Fantastic experience in a great space with a phenomenal artist. I came to Adam with a picture of an old mural that had a lot of meaning for me and would require a tattoo artist with mastery of color and the ability to “paint” on skin. Adam checked all the boxes. He’s also an endurance champ - the session was 6.5 hrs long. In the weeks leading up to the session and after, Adam responded quickly to my emails and provided clear instructions for prep before tattooing and care afterward. Because this was my first tattoo - and a big one - I was a bit anxious. But Adam and Art Machine earned my confidence, and I could not be happier with the results. I will be back for more.

Tim Pangburn thinks its OK to polarize Amps customers, as if conservatives dont get ink done. Preachy, arrogant, rude, unprofessional.

Tim is great! I’ve been wanting to get one of my tattoos covered up for years now and have been following Tim on social media ever since then as he seemed to be very great at and experienced in cover ups. Finally I made an appointment to get the cover up. I’ve been getting tattooed for 14 years by multiple artists. He was BY FAR the easiest to talk to, the friendliest and just overall great person. I felt like his top priority was delivering exactly what I wanted and he did that. CAN’T WAIT TO GET MORE! Thank you Tim!

Tim is the best! I love his artwork and taste in music. I own tee shirts with his art on them, I bought his published musings, and have several of his original pieces tattooed on me. Fishtown is very nice now, parking is a beast tho. The shop is clean with an industrial look to the interior. Staff are friendly and Tim is awesome to be around.

AMP is now my go to tattoo shop. Stacy rocks and I cannot wait to continue getting tattooed by her!! The space is so clean, there’s privacy for clients, and all of the artists are extremely talented. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience at Art Machine! Reached out about a tattoo idea I had, Seth did an amazing job designing the few ideas I gave him and putting it together into one beautiful design that I could not be happier with. Was above and beyond what I could of thought of. The process was great during the actual tattooing as well, everything went smoothly and was very clean and organized. Pricing was reasonable and overall very happy. Will definitely go back for my next tattoo.3 weeks out and tattoo has healed great and I get a lot of compliments on how great the lines are with it. I had a great experience getting a memorial tattoo here. Seth Pulsifer was sensitive to my needs, responsive, patient, and answered all of my questions. He made this a very easy, pleasant experience and gave me exactly what I wanted. Health and safety are also clearly very important to Seth and Art Machine and I felt like my health was a priority. I highly recommend Seth and Art Machine.

I recently had a tattoo done by one of the Art Machines newer artist, Seth, and he could not have made the experience/tattoo better. Before the appointment, he was extremely communicative and helpful. He did an amazing job with the tattoo itself, but also made the experience overall extremely pleasant. He was kind, attentive and is very talented. I would 100% recommend Seth for any tattoo, especially one with color!

Just got my first tattoo here the other day and it was nothing but a positive experience. It was easy to set up an appointment and get everything together with my artist (Bobby who was great). The price was definitely reasonable. The staff is friendly but also blunt and to the point about after care for your tattoo which I really appreciate because it shows that they take the work seriously and want the best outcome for you which is obviously ideal for something that is permanent. The quality of the tattoo was fantastic. I would definitely recommend them to anyone interested in getting a tattoo and I plan on returning once Im ready for my next piece.

Excellent first tattoo experience with Ivy. Space is clean, they take precautions seriously, and all of the artists have great bedside manner. You could hear other clients absolutely loving their result just as much as I did mine. For custom work and an artist who makes it safe and fun, don’t hesitate to book with Ivy.

Bobby Trefz does it again! He is my tattoo artist for the last 7 years I have 7 tattoos from him. His rates are fair and work is meticulous in the details. I came from NYC to get this new tattoo from him.

Had such a great experience each time I went. I got two Halloween pieces done by Seth and he did an amazing job. Seth communicated the whole time and made the visit comfortable. I would definitely recommend going to him to get your tattoos.

What can I say about Art Machine? Well one thing for sure is that theyre great and theyre affordable. Seth, my main artist, made my first tattooing experience and every one after, a joy and not once having a thought that I would be getting a bad tattoo from him. Crisp line work and even better shading. I havent gotten many tattoos, but all have come from Seth, and all have come out greater than the last (if thats even possible). I just left today and got wrist bands that although was painful in some parts, went incredibly smooth and had fun talking while the tattooing occurred. Overall, Seth and everyone at Art Machine have been nothing but great to me. Highly recommend!

Nikki Harris did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. AMP is a top notch shop with great artists and is extremely professional. Couldnt ask for a better experience.

I had searched for a tattoo shop to cover up my 1st tattoo(from age 15) for close to 19 years. So glad I chose this shop. John Tarrao and the staff at AMP did not disappoint!

Justin was awesome! He not only was patient with me while I debated what I was getting, he was gentle and also very informative about after care and how to care for my tattoo in general. Dan Anthony (AKA Scurvy Dan) was awesome. Did really great work, was patient with us as we tweaked the design, and overall accommodating on top of the great work he did on the actual tattoo.Art Machine Production is great in general as well. Good facilities, clean, comfy, and nice accommodating staff.I highly recommend both Dan and AMP to anyone looking for a tattoo artist/shop in Philly.

I wanted to come here for the great reviews and tattoo. My issue was pricing was not discussed and at the very end of my tattoo Cherry Rose said $400... the tattoo itself was beautiful but based off size and time it was a rip off. I told her Ill pay 300 and that still was alot of money. She had said Im crazy and told me to get out but later apologize. Dont think Ill choose this location again.

Mary-Leigh tattooed my eyebrows. This was my first and still only tattoo. I did not feel a thing!! She is very caring and checks on you throughout. Her attention to detail is very appreciated. She also checks on you after to make sure you are healing well. She is a true professional. I would recommend her a million times!

Fantastic place, clean, great atmosphere, friendly. Had my first tattoo done by Billy Weigler back in April and a touch up today. From start to finish Billy was wonderful to work with. Great artist, super creative, he was able to express what I was looking for better than i could myself. Meticulous application; I constantly get compliments. Healing was a breeze. I will definitely be back often.

Bobby Trefz at Art Machine is by far the best tattoo artist I’ve worked with. I came to him with an idea and he more than delivered. Couldn’t imagine going to anyone else in the future. Great atmosphere at this place as well. You get a real family vibe from the artists that work there.

My family and I decided to get a tattoo in honor of my brother. None of us had ever gotten a tattoo or knew anything about getting one. I found Art Machine Productions due to the amazing reviews and Ryan was our tattoo artist. I honestly cant say enough great things about him. We loved him to the point that my mom asked him to get into a family picture with all of us at the end of the day. Ryan made our tattoos into exactly what we wanted them to be AND he made us all incredibly comfortable in the process. Highly, highly recommend.

Amazing. I have had multiple tattoos in the past and every aspect of the shop made me want to come back again. The shop was super clean (coming from a nurse thats important) the guys at the front were welcoming and very professional and my artist Ryan Szadyr was AMAZING! Im obsessed with my American traditional tattoo. Cant rave enough. Will definitely be back and refer to anyone who wants a quality tattoo.

Beautiful, professional tattoo shop!I didnt get a chance to get tattooed here. My husband and I were visiting Philly from Toronto, and we decided to stop by at AMP since we are both Tim Pangburn fans. Will at the front desk greeted us. He apologized for not being able to get us a face-to-face with Tim (which given his busy schedule I wouldnt have expected any ways), and proceeded to give us a tour of the shop. He even showed us around Tims workspace and talked about some of his upcoming projects. Such amazing hospitality. For our next visit, we will try to schedule some ink for sure.I ended up picking up an original art piece that the shop was selling for the Toys for Tots campaign.

Seth made my sisters and I SO comfortable getting our tiny tats. The studio was so clean and well-kept. We’re so happy with our experience!

Bobby Trefz is an incredible artist. So far Ive gotten three tattoos by him; 2 portraits on each shoulder: Patrick Bateman from American Psycho on my left, and Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange on my right. The perfect bookends to my sleeves. the third tattoo is on my left inner forearm of an astronaut which is just the beginning of a half sleeve because all behind the spaceman is going to be a cosmic landscape, some stars, and maybe a moon or something. I know Bobbys going to hook it up so I have no doubt whatsoever that hell do an amazing job. Only thing is I got to wait till August 13th to finish it, but I want quality so Im willing to wait a few months just so I can have Bobby as my artist. Also, thanks to Art Machine Productions for always making me feel welcome and theyre always there to make sure I have the best experience while getting a tattoo. I 100% recommend this place.

Fantastic shop, love the alcoves for the artists to work in vice an open floor shop. Dan Anthony did my work and was friendly, upbeat, and professional. Im very happy with the work I got done and definitely plan on making appointments for further art when Im in the area again.

Mary leigh and i had a consultation for my eyebrows a few weeks ago and she was able to work with my schedule to fit me in sooner than later for the first session. shes super sweet and extremely professional. her work is amazing and she practices extremely sanitary procedures. her before and after care instructions are so detailed and helpful, its impressive. i am excited to see how her work heals for me considering she was fixing existing work, it already looks better than it did ! very happy with my experience.

Theres no place in Philly I would rather go over Art Machine for my tattoos. Every artist there is top-notch and the place is in tip-top shape as far as cleanliness goes. The location is great too, as Ive never had trouble parking AND La Colombe is next door for any friends accompanying you on your tattoo venture to load up on caffeine. Look no further for your body-art needs!

Nick is great! Second time getting my tattoo from him he takes his time explaining the process and doesnt get frustrated, I will gladly recomend him to family and friends! I would def come back if I ever decide to get another tattoo!! Thanks Nick!!!

Every tattoo-ee is looking for something different in both the art and the tattoo artist, and to me Nick the Tailor was exactly what I was looking for. I e-mailed him with ideas and he responded promptly and when I asked his opintions he gave honest ones. The shop was clean and comfortable with a cool vibe. As for the tattoo artist, Nick was great about allowing me to feel comfortable changing things up if I needed to, which I didnt, but he did emphasize that it was my body and he would not be offended if I changed things up. He was very low key and when he was tattooing was in the zone, which was perfect for me as I popped in my headphones and didnt feel like I was offending him by not conversating with him as he was working. He answered whatever questions I had and emphasized that if I was not satisfied or needed a touch up to get in touch with him. I only have 3 tattoos and for the detail, size, and artwork that I feel like I got I feel like I paid a very fair price. I would absolutely recommend this shop to others.

Bobby gave me an amazing tattoo. It looks like a photograph. The shop is spotless and the service is truly professional. The pricing was incredibly fair and I have already made another appointment.

Cool building and place. Sectioned slots on outside back with comfortable waiting/seating area in front. Visit to see my artist Bobby T only in 2nd month there. Other people floating area friendly, happy. Street parking took a few minutes with ac2 block walk but worth the extra time. 2 hour meter but no ticket after 3 hours was good.

Im sure its a good place, but I didnt feel like they were interested in working with my ideas. Just look at the portfolios, and choose an artist. For my first tattoo, I want someone whos genuinely interested in working with me.

Always exceeds expectations. Everyone in the shop is super friendly and professional, but I only get my work done by Bobby. After quite a few trips here, I found that if you cant find parking out front, there is reasonably priced parking just a block away.

Once again, Tim and the artists at AMP deliver. As you walk in and before you can put your things down in the spacious lounge they have for customers, you are greeted and asked if you are being helped or there to see a specific artist. If this is anyones first time, fear not. The staff at AMP dont just toss a portfolio of work to review at your feet, but rather go through it with you and answer any and all questions about the process. Each artist has more than enough space in their booth and privacy curtains are present if needed. Cleanliness is paramount when it comes to tattoos and the overall appearance of the shop is extremely hygenic. BEST IN PHILLY!!!

Tim did my first tattoo - a seven hour session with a four hour follow up. I gave him an abstract concept to work with and let him visualize it - turned out amazing - still cannot believe he just converted my thoughts into such an incredible vision.

Both me and my father came here as novices to the tattoo world. Justin was absolutely phenomenal. He was personable and the artwork looks great.

Unique layout of studio, great guy,old acquaintance I got tattooed by (Bobby) who was willing to work on the 4th of July. What was so cool about this place is the bathroom sink. Old School foot operation, will return shortly to finish my project.

Steve did an AMAZING job. His outlines and shading are flawless. Ive gotten so many compliments already and its only been a day. I will definitely be back again

Ive been tattooed in this location several times by a few different people and I was overwhelmingly satisfied with each visit. I like the studio feel of the shop as its inviting. Its also in an easy to find location in the city.

Ive been working with Jay Trip for a few years. His work is fantastic. Art Machine is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this establishment.

I called to make an appointment and they instructed me to come in. I leave work early only to sit and wait in an empty lobby for 20 min. I start wandering around because Im invested at this point and an artist gives me instructions to look at each album on the coffee table and email whoever I want to do my tattoo. I contact two people twice in 4 days and get a rejection from one and an empty promise from another over a week later. John T tells me he is booked up until July yet he refuses to give me a date in July. In fact, he never responds to my text messages or emails. The crazy part of it all is - I am looking for an entire sleeve, no budget, and know exactly what I want. I couldnt imagine treating any of my customers this poorly. Especially someone ready to drop 5K on a sleeve! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME- NEW CUSTOMERS LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

My husband got his full sleeve tattoo done here by Nick and he is madly in love with his tattoo. Place s clean and i really liked their interior decor.
