Stephanie was the BOMB! So gentle and very efficient! She was patient and give many options as to what I was wanting. This is her second time giving me a tattoo and I loved everyone of them! Shes the best! The tattoo says “Fall In Love With Yourself” and also got a hand henna on my ring finger .

I love this shop. It’s so fun and the artists are all very talented. I’ve gotten 2 tattoos done by artist Spirit and also had my ears double pierced. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I would definitely come back here for another tattoo or piercing.

Went in with my best friend to get pierced and the whole experience was phenomenal! I’ve always gone here to get pierced but it was usually Tori or Justin, but I had Angie (I believe that’s her name!) yesterday and she was absolutely the best.I’ve been pierced numerous times (some of them not going well) and she definitely topped them. She lined my Medusa up perfectly, listened to me without a fuss if I wanted it moved, then patiently sat with me when I had questions about other piercings afterwards.My friend got vertical angel bites and the time she took to make sure they were perfect was so sweet. Definitely will be coming back to be pierced by her again 🖤

Gotten multiple tattoos and piercings from this place now. Big big fan. Super clean work, everyone is extremely professional. Healing outcome was super great too on my lip piercing and irritation was minimal after the first 3 days.Super honest, would not let me get a piercing that would injure me based on my anatomy. 10/10, trustworthy high quality shop.

On July 19th, I got my nose pierced by Angie who is an absolute sweetheart, she did fantastic. So I have a question, my nose ring came out after I got out of the shower and it fell down the sink drain after trying to put it back in. My question is am I able to get a replacement if I come in again?

Brought my daughter in today (her birthday) to have her ears pierced. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They made her feel incredibly comfortable. Facility was spotless as well. Uploading our documents was a bit confusing, but we figured it out. 10/10 would recommend! We will definitely be back.

I was just in there today and did a walk in piercing! I love my new septum, and will be back eventually to get another piercing :) I appreciate my piercer for being extremely friendly, and did a pristine job with my piercing! Thanks again.

Got my first tattoo today was done by Jack. Super awesome experience. He definitely knows what hes doing and is a fabulous artist. He designed my tattoo to represent my daughters and I cant believe how good it looks. Was super nervous and the entire place is super welcoming. My daughter got her ears pierced and I had my industrial done! Very nice and clean place, the staff were wonderful! Angie ways amazing! My daughter was turning 6 soon and Angie showed her everything and how it was going to happen, she still wanted them and didn’t freak out or cry, it hurt she admitted but she said it was okay! She loved Angie.Will definitely go to her for all future piercings and I have to drive and hour to see her. Well worth going to someone who works in a great place and is amazing at what she does!

I went and got my doubles & cartilage pierced by Angie. She did such a great job. She was very kind, knowledgeable, sweet, gave details, and overall provided a great service. Literally one of the sweetest piercers I’ve had. If you’re wanting to get a piercing I would 100% recommend Angie. Loved her!

Did a walk-in for an piercing. They have certain days where you can do this otherwise you have to have an appointment. I think my piercer name was Angie and she was the sweetest. I was so nervous but she talked me through it. So far so good on my piercing. It think its been about 5 weeks. Im healing up good. If anything changes, Ill let you guys know.

Just got my Septum done today, Really clean, really nice looking place. Service was really fast though I went at like maybe 6, maybe 7? Still decent to walk in get it done and be on your way. Our Peicer was really friendly and nice, Im not sure if it was Hollie, or Holly? really cool person though. I wont lie I was nervous on the count of this being a peircing I was getting redone, but she was so friendly that I didnt feel like I had to worry about it. I highly Reccomend this place as Ive gotten 5 peircings from here over the course of maybe 6 years? Have always felt like I was in good hands. Theyll walk you through the process, clean everything as they go, so that kinda helps to calm your nerves too. Cool place, I highly reccomend. Kinda annoying went in at exactly 7 o’clock to get a piercing and they said there closing soon so they couldn’t .. but they close at 8 idk the lady seemed like she didn’t want my business so screw yall

Had a wonderful experience with Holly Jo piercing my daughters earlobes for her 14th birthday. Holly Jo was very professional and calming during the process, helping my daughters nervousness.

$50 for a nose piercing. Should’ve shopped around. Also the need for a birth certificate for my daughter caused them to lose my business. Not to mention overcharging me. I’ll never go back. Not warm and friendly at all. Go to AK Studios in Kankakee. Super friendly and $25 for a nose piercing. No birth certificate required.

I chose Oak and Ember for my septum piercing because of all the great reviews and because its a shop my family has trusted for generations. Angie was super professional and personable. She cleaned my nose with iodine and used fresh, sterile equipment to pierce. She also made sure to walk me through the process and there was no rush to get up and go after it was finished. Prices were beyond reasonable. If youre looking for the perfect shop to get your piercing done, you found it!

Absolutely love my new tattoo! It was a VERY last minute decision and they were more than happy to get me in. Atmosphere was great and place was very clean!!

Angie did a great job with my helix piercings and my sister’s industrial piercing. It was quick and painless. Angie was very professional and thorough which made me relaxed. She made sure we received proper aftercare instructions before leaving. It’s been 2 weeks since I got my piercings and they’re healing well.

I went here based off a friends recommendation, and Im so glad I did. Angie did my piercing, and she was the best. She makes sure everything is clean and prepped, shows you where the piercing will go, to be sure you are satisfied and will make suggestions if youre unsure. The place is clean, and the customer service is top notch.

I never got the girl who did my septum piercing on June 7th name but she was very considerate. I told her about my fear of needles and she completely hid it from me. She seemed to really pick up on me being nervous and stayed patient with my nervous tics. She was very sweet and I would love to come again if I have plans for any other service that comes to mind. I got my top eyeliner done and bottom eyeliner touched up by Casey and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable, explained everything she was going to do, and very personable. Everything she used was brand new and even made it a point to show me. She also made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. Prices are reasonable as well.

Got my philtrum peirced here, my peircer was knowledgeable and able to answer all of my rapid fire questions. Personally not a huge fan of the open floor plan, I enjoy a more closed booth situation, but they do a very nice job with the space available.

I’ve gone to Oak and Ember for almost all of my piercings and tattoos and I am never disappointed! The piercer, Justin, did my conch and my cartilage piercing in one day and they turned out so well! Very professional and personable, highly recommend anyone who works there!

Do NOT get pierced by Angie. I got an ear piercing (rook) by her back in October & 6 months later it is still not healed because of how it was pierced. There is not proper room for the ring to move how it needs to when laying on that side of my head which the piercer should’ve known. With it being too far into the spot, I can’t unscrew it myself to remove. I will not be getting another piercing here again.

I don’t ever write reviews but I couldn’t not share how amazing this place is. Angie pierced me and it was such an amazing experience. Their studio is so clean and inviting and Angie did an amazing job making sure I was comfortable and what was going to happen. Very reasonably priced for the amazing services they offer

My favorite tattoo artist by far - Dave Faford, has been working here several years. Great work, very clean, all tat & piercing tools & supplies are sterile, opened as they set up the tables immediately before starting.The shop is newly remodeled.They have a staff of several tattoo artists, often 2 or 3 working at same time, and a body piercer.Walk-in for small, simple tattoos are possible if the artists have an opening, but setting an appointment with deposit is strongly recommended. Plus it gives your artist a chance to pre-work your design.

Highly recommend! The owner Don and all his employees are super and very helpful and very friendly you couldnt ask for better people. I had a flat tire on my truck and the owner Don insisted on changing it for me to where must owners of a business would of never had did that for me. Don you are awesome at everything thing you do and I just love my tat you did and will be comming for more! Yall ROCK & ARE THE BEST!!!!

Artist David has an unprofessional and Disgusting attitude. He responded emotionally to an email I sent about a tattoo that was to be done. As an artist that supposedly cares so much about how he makes his living, he should care how he responds to people. Theres a way to talk to people. If youre into that kind of toxic communication, then by all means, go to him. However if you want a mature adult, whos compassionate and caring, Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Its no joke, on who you go to, when it comes to doing anything with open skin.

I went there only once out of my 2 tattoos and now anytime I want a new tattoo, I know where to go. The tattoo had a lot of meaning to me and Eric took it seriously and did a wonderful job. They even give you an aftercare sheet which my other place did not. (They also told me to use Lubriderm and over charged me) The artists at Darkside know their stuff!

I saw Joey Malias artwork and fell in love with his art style so I finally decided, after 6 years, that I found someone with the talent to tattoo the project I want to get. I have had three sessions of 6 hours so far and the work has come out amazing. I had a prior tattoo on my hip that I asked him to blend into the tree that I was adding and he did an amazing job connecting the two. Then for the tattoo, I asked for a maple tree but I wanted it to look at though it was a painting than true realism. He came up with the idea to make the leaves look like brush strokes and it came out looking just like that. I am so happy with his work and he described his vision for a scenic backdrop that I cannot wait to have done!

I went in just to get a new industrial bar because I lost the ball on mine and the person who helped me assumed he knew the size even though I had it right there with me and it clearly wasnt the right size! I still bought it, hoping that he was just right and he wasnt of course. And i tried to get a refund and they of course refused me even though i brought it right back in once i saw that it was definitely not the same size as mine.he was very rude about the refund. Almost seemed like he knew it wasnt the right size and was just trying to get the money from me. Horrible. Will never go back.

I wouldnt know if they do good tattoos. I had an appointment to have my 1st tattoo done and JOSH called and asked me to come in early becuase he over brooked. So I told him thats fine, when I show up he asks me why am I here. Then tells me that he meant for the next day. JOSH maybe a great artist but he doesnt know how to manage his appointments and he is vey unprofessional.
