Breaking skin tattoo and body piercing

Got pierced today by Lexie and OMG she is amazing! She explained the process of my piercings and aftercare. She gave me her time to ask all my crazy questions and assured that I understood everything she explained. Overall great experience! The shop is so rad, and very inviting. Everyone was so nice, and most importantly the place was very clean! Highly recommend!

I love Breaking Skin and wont go anywhere else. They all do amazing work. Everyone is really nice. I go to Peanut for my tattoos. He does great work and amazing with cover ups. No complaints ever. Ive had so many compliments on my tattoos. People always ask me where I go to get them and I obviously tell.Lexi has pierced my nose, conch, and lip. She does amazing work as well. Never had any issues after any of my piercings.

Jake did this for me. Its My 2nd granddaughters name that means royalty, color purple is royalty, and the crown is for princess. The scripture is I knew you before you were formed in the womb.

Jake did a tattoo on me today of a monarch butterfly with a skull head and Im in love with it! It was a clean and professional setting and Jake created exactly what I pictured in my head! Couldnt be happier.

Very talented set of artists all with their own styles. Each one is gifted and their personality comes out in each peice they do. Every one of them love and are passionate about what they do and it shows in each peice and how they treat each person they work on. I have had work done by different artists there and I have been witness to work being done on different occassions by different artists and you can see the pride they have with each piece of art they create. Any new artist looking to get high quality teaching should definatley seek out the staff of Breaking Skin.The piercing staff is amazing as well. Very knowledgeable, very professional and very caring as well. They too love what they do and take great pride in their work. You are treated like family at Breaking Skin from your very first visit there and if you never return but bump into someone on the street you are still their family. Friendly staff, unique environment, and very reasonable pricing. Peanut did my forearm piece and it turned out better than I imagined. Great line work and shading. Plus he was super sweet and made me feel at ease. Amazing artist! In love with his work! Highly recommend!

Very clean , gave good directions for care for my helix ear piercings, and nice too!

Wingman has done 2 pieces for me. Cover up on my left forearm and my sons tattoo on my thigh. Both were different styles. One was black ink with lots of shading, and the other has several colors in it. I really like how fast you can book your session. A few weeks compared to most other shops months of waiting. I will be back for future work.

Vertical labret was done my Lexi. She is a capable and no nonsense piercer. I enjoy going there! I did order jewelry from them. I had to wait for them to have a big enough of body jewelry to make an order. I waited patiently for 3 MONTHS to get this lip ring. Finally I got a call saying my jewelry cam in and they set me up for a visit to have it placed. I went in and they couldn’t find the jewelry. They did apologize and ended up throwing me a free nose piercing. I do like the people here and 10/10 would recommend.

Clean respectable and friendly. Wing man finished one sleeve for me and now working on another one. Wing man is an amazing artist. Place looks great on the inside, consistantly making improvements to their location. Pricing is competitive, you are getting what you are paying for HIGH QUALITY WORK. Can not say enough good things about this place and its staff.

Came in with my family on a later Friday afternoon for walk-in tattoos, we had such a great experience.. Very professional, clean and great vibe at the shop! I’m not from the area but would 100% visit this shop again when visiting my family here and I would definitely recommend to anyone considering! Speedy did a great job with all of our tattoos. I went into Breaking Skin on friday as a walk in. They was all so nice and very professional. Peanut did my tattoo and he did amazing work! It turned out exactly if not better than I was anticipating it to. After seeing how nice & clean the shop was I felt comfortable but was still alittle nervous bc this was my first tattoo but peanut made me very comfortable & at ease. I scheduled my half sleeve with him right after! I will keep going to Breaking Skin! Highly recommend! If your on the fence just got you wont regret it!😎🤟

I’ve gone here for piercings, but the artists are lovely and very kind, super easy to talk to. Very informative as well. People who’ve gotten tattoos from here love them, though, and I know they always go back.

The process of my thigh tattoo was started last Saturday by Tattoo. I must say I’ve never walked into a tattoo shop and felt so comfortable and accepted as I did here at breaking skin. Dennis took my idea and ran with it, creating a piece that I’m obsessed with and love. The shop is clean & very well taken care of. Dennis showed me everything he was using for my tattoo and made sure I understood what was happening. I’ve never had a tattoo artist do that. I just can’t get over the great service I’ve experienced here. Looking forward to my next few sessions and will definitely be back in the future for more work. Once a tattoo artist gains your trust & makes you happy with their talent, loyalty is remained. I will never go to another shop. I’ve been to other shops around the valley for tattoos, and can’t express enough how impressed I am by the atmosphere and work done by breaking skin!

I could not be happier with my tooth gem by Shelby!! She was kind when doing it, and it makes me feel so good about my smile.I got my gem put on on December 9th, 2020, and 1.5 years later it is still in tact and in perfect condition. I don’t avoid any foods, I use teeth whitening strips, and pretty much forget it’s there. Not only has it lasted way longer than I ever would’ve expected, but I went through 9 months of Invisalign trays. This means every time I ate, plastic “retainer like” trays slid off of my teeth, and as soon as I was done eating I had to brush them and slide these tight fitting trays back onto my teeth. I was almost certain that doing this everyday, multiple times a day would catch the gem and pop it off, but it never did! Not only that, but most of my teeth had “attachments” glued on that served as anchors for the Invisalign trays to grip and pull/shift the teeth. Since I had the gem on one tooth, they couldn’t apply an attachment, so the gem served as the attachment. Meaning not only did it not pop off, but the trays were applying pressure and pulling on the gem in order to move my entire tooth!! I could not be happier and could not recommend Shelby and her tooth gems more! Thanks for adding some sparkle to my smile!!

I truly dont know how to put into word how great this place is beautiful studio, clean, great atmosphere, outstanding staff. Went in on a walk-in Sunday with Jake, and I am so happy I did, he has done all my tattoos so far & cant wait to go back for many more!!!

Very unprofessional! The staff, especially the apprentice, are very rude and very lazy. They seem to value sitting around and doing nothing more than they value their customers. I got a piercing there, and it hasnt been healing well at all. I have had 17 piercings and have never had a problem with any of them before this one. I have not gotten a tattoo here, and judging from their Instagram posts, I wouldnt want any of their artwork on me anyways. The shop itself is too small for comfort. If you want any sort of privacy at all, this is not the place for you. Although its cheap and convenient, its not worth it to go here. Youd be better off spending the money and making an appointment at a professional and reputable shop, like Hot Rod or Gregs.

Awesome experience here!! Everyone is so nice and friendly and very very talented!! My dog has a tattoo in his right ear in case he gets lost he can be identified and i got that matching tattoo behind my right ear with a little pawprint symbol and it looks awesome!!

My artist was Shelby, she was fantastic! She was very nice and personable, made the experience easy. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was good.

We went on Friday the 13th when it was really busy, staff handled all the customers pretty well. Corey did my tattoo and it was painless. Will definitely go again

Do not get tattoos so cannot comment about the service there. However, I am hopeful that the owners do read this review for one particular aspect: the lights right under the awning of the building. During the night (during the day too but especially at night because of the added reflections being seen), these things flash extremely bright and rapid, to the point where people would have to look away. Anyone taking National Road or trying to go to Pizza Hut across the street and have to go past it, either in the passenger side, or worse the drivers side, are at risk of a seizure when having to view these, especially when that road is one lane either direction. Can the owner please consider changing these lights or turning them off when the store is closed so this wont happen.

This is literally the best tattoo shop place in town they have very reasonable rates. Theyre awesome to talk to and their work is just outstanding. I am definitely going back. Thanks guys an gals.

I got a tattoo done at this shop more than a year ago and I have been timid about posting an accurate and honest review because the owner cannot handle constructive criticism. So, I had to go twice; once to get my tattoo done, and once again to have it fixed because I had a botched tattoo. I was getting work done by an apprentice, to my knowledge no longer worked at the shop when I went back. I was never alerted that the person doing my tattoo was learning. The receptionist/piercer who worked here at the time audibly gasped when I rolled up my sleeve when I returned to have the botched work fixed. As an artist myself (not a tattoo artist, but a painter) I was very upset by the botched first tattoo. This was also my first tattoo, and to have people talking about how poorly done my first tattoo looked upset me greatly. Corey redid my tattoo, and I would get more work by him if he worked at another shop. Im thankful for the standard Corey holds himself to, and for fixing the tattoo with no charge. The owner was not present when I returned to have the tattoo fixed. The lack of professionalism the owner holds himself to is what has driven me away from getting more work done at this shop. If you dont believe me, read his responses to negative reviews (this is also why I have hesitated to post a review). I would rather him tell me something nasty via the internet than to have others deal with the shame of having a botched tattoo. The artists that work here are wonderful and talented, and deserve a higher level of professionalism from their shops owner. And, just for the owners awareness, I dont plan on coming back, ever.Update: I have met the owner, he was present when I got the inital tattoo done. To quote, Thats a bad ass tattoo. A good first tattoo. Also nice to see he deleted his nasty comments on other one star reviews.

Uhh. where do i begin. firstly, i setup an appointment to get work done on my tat. the owner set me up with chris, which is fine, but the owner never showed up. i walked to the store around noon and saw a man in a moth costume hanging upside from the room and then started to feel my eyes rolling to the back of my head. i put my sunglasses on and realized it was their light. they have 10 halogen 4000W beams they use to signal helicopters aimed eyelevel. so anyway, i went in and the owner tried to sell me a $60 piercing because they have to pay the employees, the rent, sanitizing materials, and for those bright fking lights but i was like.. maybe i should leave 1 star? idk. i can stab myself in the ear with scissors and save myself the money. chris and the owner never showed up and they cancelled my appointment 2 hours after i got there late which was unprofessional. i wont do business with them. their policies and pricing is too transparent and their tattoos while they may look good, i can tell you now, without ever getting one, that i may not like it due to a situation completely unrelated to their tattoo services

I had an absolute great experience at breaking skin. The staff are super friendly and Wingman did an amazing job on my tattoo. And I will return for all my others. 2 Big thumbs way up for Breaking skin.

Shelby did such an outstanding job. Especially on mine and my fiancés matching tattoos. Made my first time experience getting my first tattoo really nice.

I went here about a year ago to get my nose and belly button done. My nose still hasn’t healed after a year and i’ve had nothing but issues with the jewelry they used. I have to see a dermatologist because of the scarring that is left on my nose because of the way they pierced it. My belly button rejected and is now close to falling out. I’ve heard from 3 other people that had the same issues.. Heard tattoos were amazing from here but the piercings not so much 🤷🏻‍♀️

Price is a bit steep but everyone there is very nice they are very clean. If you dont mind paying a bit more Id recommend going here. Jake is pretty good.

Lex pierced my nose and it would not heal. I went to another shop and they told me she had used a piercing good for an ear not a nose! They changed it and I feel 10 times better now.
