I contacted them through instagram to get a simple tattoo, with the word “purpose”. They replied, and said they were available at 5pm for walk-in. I went, and immediately loved the place vibes 👻 💀 . The guy Mike welcomed me and did my tattoo, he was really nice :). Overall, I had a very good experience, and will be coming back!

Mike is an amazing artist, he took the time listen carefully and to give my husband a surprise consult. We scheduled a day to come back and get the tattoo within a few days. He listened to details and came up with a masterpiece that my husband loved! This masterpiece means so much to my husband because it’s a reflection to the death of his father. Love the patience, great steady hands and attention to detail like has love his art!!! He’s a blessing in disguise, I will be losing my tattoo cherry with him. I can’t stop starring at my husbands new piece, Mike once again THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!

I went to a few places to see if I can get a cover up tattoo on my arm but I was either told I had to add or it couldn’t be done and some other places wereway too expensive.My last stop was anarchy tattoo studios and Im so glad I went there. as soon as I walked in Mike greeted me and made me feel comfortable that I knew this was the right place for me.He did a great job as to what I wanted. Mike is the best!!!!! I love his personality,! Hes very friendly and intelligent. I can talk to him for hours!!! I just recently got my 7th tattoo from him, my shamrocks, and I am in love with them. I came to this shop last week and saw Michael. The first thing that stands out is an impeccably clean space with cool vibes unlike any other shop I have visited. Michael is the owner and am amazing tattoo artist that I have chosen to be my new artist. He is humble and doesnt conform to the tattoo artist look. This guy looks like an everyday guy no hanging facial hair no piercings and no crazy tattoos covering his hands and such. Hes a business man that takes pride in a quaint well kept shop. I am really happy to have met him and cant wait for him to start repairing my bad tattoos and creating new ones that I will be proud of.

Today I got my second tattoo from here by the owner Mike. I must say, he never disappoints! My first tattoo that he did healed wonderfully within weeks which was surprising. My friend has also gotten all his tattoos here as well, mostly done by Mike. I must say, this is an amazing tattoo shop. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the artists here are so nice. Mike goes out of his way to make you feel at home; like youre apart of the family. Hes super nice, funny, chill and VERY talented. The way he decorates the shop is amazing as well. I would highly recommend this place && the artists here as well. I am so excited to see how well my new tattoo heals and I will definitely be coming back here for my other tattoo ideas.

I got 3 tattoos from here (2 different days and 2 different artists) and each time was a very pleasant experience. The pricing for the tattoos are reasonable and the artists make sure that they give you what you want. Speaking of the artists, everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I recommend Mike, hes got a fun personality and just a cool guy in general. The store is very neat and clean; and the place also has a lot of cool and interesting trinkets around to gaze upon.

Mickey did my son & my husbands tattoo and e everything went smoothly from start to finish. His personality is amazing & his professionalism was also top notch. He made them feel comfortable and told them what to expect which was great for my son who was getting his first tat. I also loved the fact that the shop was clean and he followed all safety protocols. My other son is going to him in 2 weeks to get tatted. I highly recommend him.

Let’s me say Mike is wonderful guy I walked in shop he instantly was welcoming and warm we had wonderful conversation about a lot of what’s going on in the world plus my bad tattoo I have gotten from another shop that I wanted to fix and cover up he told me to come in few weeks we can see how it look when it healed he told me to come as I did He said I needed a few laser treatment first beforehand to move forward I reached out to the laser he recommended They were very helpful and awesome just like Mike hopefully after few treatments I will be able to work with him book with himsoon . He is awesome Artist and person it will be a honor I’m very grateful for him being nice trying help me with me with making sure my tattoo will come out best results thank you so much for honesty and your help with my tattoo journey.

Mike and Eric r great artists. I had both tattoo me and all I get r compliments not only from friends and co workers but people actually stopped me on the street, asking where I get it done.Environment is clean and decor is original. I wouldn’t mind hiring mike to decorate my new home when it’s time. Lol.Mike is still finishing my back which is a dragon with cherry blossoms around it. When that’s fine I will be back for more. Anarchy Tattoo Studios is a shop where you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. The decor around the shop is really cool and the whole place just has a good vibe to it. The owner Mike is an artist who is clearly very passionate about his work and will talk to you about the whole process from beginning to end. The place is fully sterile as he opens brand new needles in front of you that were in clear closed packages. I have been tattooed by him twice now and will never go to any other artist because that is how much I love his work. Until next time!

Ive now had 2 amazing experiences with Mike. After the first tattoo with him, I knew I wouldnt be working with anyone else. He asked me tons of questions to make sure the tattoo was the right size, font, and placement. Hes good at what he does and he makes it feel like were close friends. Once I forget the little pain I was in, Ill definitely be back for another tattoo :)

Been wanting to get a tattoo for my grandmother at Anarchy for years, I just turned 18 last friday and had it done this past Saturday. Micky did a great job, very professional, very sterile, and the piece came out way better than I had expected ! Hands down the best tattoo studio in New York, they treat you with hospitality and respect. Great prices and even better quality. I’m about four days in and it just started to scab up today, I avoided washing it throughout the day so I didn’t ruin it until just now and when i applied my lotion some pieces rubbed off. The color is staying beautifully and it’s healing great ! Will definitely be returning for the rest of my pieces, awesome work guys !

Went in initially to get some quotes. Mike is awesome, his casual approach and dedication to his craft is second to none. The shop itself has a very laid back vibe, the artwork displayed around the shop itself is very cool. Kind of like a horror / carnival feel. Mike was very thorough when explaining the process and positioning of the piece you are getting. The shop itself is very clean, Mike wipes everything down as you watch him so there is no doubt in your mind that the place is sterile. The needles are displayed in front of you in closed packages which are opened in front of you. Mike is a people person and has a great demeanor that keeps you laughing and in conversation the whole time. The best thing is that if there are any issues Mike stands by his work. If someone stands by their work in my opinion, thats a guarantee that Ill be going back. I had two pieces done by Mike which I am extremely happy with and plan to go back whenever I decide on my next piece.

Great atmosphere, fair and affordable pricing, the artists in the shop are amazing people and are fun to talk too! Had two of my tattoos done by both of the artists and they came out amazing. If you are too lazy to travel to Fordham Road and deal with sketchy tattoo paroles visit this place! These guys know what they are doing. They very sanitary and make sure you see that the needles they have are new and still in packaging. I 100% recommend this place for anyone who wants a tattoo!

Got my first tattoo ever here, by Marissa! The shop is great, amazing vibes and super comfortable and welcoming. Great choice for a beginner! And Marissa is absolutely incredible — patient, understanding, precise, and passionate about turning your vision into a reality. Above all, she is an artist in the truest meaning of the word: creative and detail-oriented — exactly what I was looking for.(The first photo is right after the tattoo was finished — barely even red/irritated, as you can see. I went to Anarchy after first visiting another tattoo shop where I would have been forced to wear a mask while getting my tattoo. I did not want to wear a mask while having needles stuck in me for two reasons:1) Im vaccinated and2) I had no plans to kiss my tattoo artistI use common sense in my thinking and not fear and quite frankly am tired of wearing a mask that really is of no use. So I found anarchy and was so thankful that I could have a conversation and get a tattoo without wearing a muzzle. Mike was professional, clean, he sanitized everything and showed me the new needle he was using. His work is great, he works quickly and he doesnt rip you off. His was upfront with how much it would cost and it was exactly like he said. Ill be back to see Mike again.....and I wont be wearing a mask :).

Mike is a positive, professional, that does exceptional work. He keeps his shop clean and entertainingly artsy, with many of his own art displayed; both tattoos, and other hand made original items for the viewing eye. I called and they had availability on my Dad’s birthday. They were so professional over the phone and listened to what I needed. The day of my appointment I immediately felt comfortable. Although I was a bit scared of getting my first tattoo but I had the best experience ever. Mike did my tattoo and I dont regret it. My tattoo came out amazingly perfect with colors.The shop is highly clean, he makes sure he shows you the new niddles and all his equipment. Hell make sure he cleans his whole section in front of you before he starts tattooing. Also he would tell you the legal rights therefore, pointing out the new niddles and his clean equipment. Very professional setting to get tattooed. I am coming back for my next section.

Would have gave 5 stars because customer service is excellent and the work is great but one thing is the wait, the appointments are set but there is noone at the front desk to take guest as they walk in so, tattoo must be put on hold until they finish with the customer.Also with the appointments, as you are waiting customers are walking in and asking question which leaves you waiting to start.But with that said , Michael and Mickeys work is worth the wait all the time.

They are so rude. They had me waiting outside for over 45 min just so he can talk to his friend who wasn’t getting a tattoo. When all I wanted to do was ask a question about a tat I wanted so badly. He was talking about social distancing but him or his two friends didn’t wear a mask. That made no sense at all. I called and they told me to come right in and ask but I guess because I was wearing a mask he didn’t wanna take me. He told me and my man if we didn’t wanna follow the rules we could take our mask off and come inside. Why would we do that? Stupid reason to ask your customers that.

I didnt feel that way going into Anarchy tattoo shop, Michael Ryan the owner greeted me and we started talking about my idea of a rose that I want to get dedicated to my mother. The shop has an amazing Rock and Roll vide, really cool interior amazing art work all over the walls very clean place I recommend this shop to anyone that wants to get tattooed.

This place is gross. They are run by anti-vaxers and they not only don’t believe in masks but they will actively persecute you for wearing one. They don’t follow the cdc guidelines. There is an even better tattoo place across the street that follows the guide lines and will treat all customers with respect and run a cleaner tattoo shop.

Omg I got a tattoo 3wks ago. Mickey tattooed the inside of my wrist. It hurt like heck but he did a great job. I am going back for another 2 tattoo next month. Everyone like the tattoo I got of my dog paws.

First time going there, I went in for a cost on a tattoo I wanted spoke to Mike got a reasonable good price super kool guy ,very friendly left my name and number to schedule an appointment, with in a couple minutes later he squeeze me in and got tatted the same day because someone canceled there appointment wich work out for me also he knock out that tat super quick and was able to get another piece in before his next appointment wich he killed thanx again Mike will be seeing u again soon brother !I deffently recommend and will be recommending Mike and his tattoo shop to friends and family

I just went in to inquire. The place was immaculate. Being a total tattoo novice, they treated me with respect, answered all of my questions (and I had a lot!) and generally made me feel very comfortable.

This shop is not following covid guidelines. They will not tattoo you if you are wearing a mask and are actively trying to cram as many people as possible into their shop. Stay away!Edit to add: you have me confused with someone else. I just wanted to wear a mask and was told I couldnt.

Clearly we cant maintain 6 feet social distance, thats why we put a mask on. You come to place where customers have a mask on, cant be service. And that is why there are hospital beds running short. You dont know the real deal untill you see in front of your face everyday people on thier death beds. Bad business dude.
