Place looks decent, comfy & chill (saw 3 big bags filled with plastic bottles) pretty random for a tattoo/piercing spot. I came into this place with 2 other family members who wanted to get pierced. customer service was a joke, an African American male that looked around his 60s asked us what we wanted. One of my family members requested for a mid helix piercing, the man responded by saying that he didn’t know what that was (mind you this is supposed to be a professional piercer who is supposed to know what customers want) the way he addressed his ignorance just put me off about the places’ professionalism. I should’ve asked for his license then & there!in conclusion, i said have a good day to the man with zero response. no manners or humility. OVERALL go to Bubus across the library, that place knows what they’re doing. save yourself some time, money & come out feeling good about your decision at bubus

P.D. this lady came in trying to start some drama because she didnt want to follow social distancing rules 🙄 (hence, COVID keeps spreading) and was asked to either abide or leave.Theres always a rotten apple in the batch!

My friend and I have went to get an earring change and a nose piercing. My friend had to use the bathroom nearly in tears . We went upstairs and said Hi we are here for a earring change and piercing . The man behind the counter states we have to pay before hand . Understandable but if my friend is expressing urgency to use the restroom and I’m seen getting ready to pay why not just let her use the bathroom. I felt pressured by the person over the counter to sit down and get pierced so permission could be granted to use the bathroom….. My friend then began to say we are going to get serviced I just have to pee . The man behind the counter yells I’m done I’m done . I’m assuming the so called owner as I’m getting ready to pay points at a sign on the wall where it shows that it’s $10 to use the restroom…. I wish I would have taken a picture .My friend and I just left . Gentle reminder without US clients you’re “small business “ will not be in business. $10 dollars really ? Ridiculous and disgusting behavior . Im not writing this review for “you’re small business “ I’m writing the review to spread awareness of the treatment that is giving as a client no matter how much you spend at the business or will be spending. Have a blessed day.

I got my nipples pierced along with belly button back after Covid break out. Piercer was nice and gentle and helped me regain my balance after getting dizzy. Upon healing, I noticed some errors. I went to see them again bc the barbell was too short and wasn’t good so they gave me attitude saying it wasn’t because of barbell, then I went back again bc I noticed it wasn’t coming clean with products I bought from them. They told me AFTER the 2 visits that I was supposed to wash with soap and then use the cleaning spray. Like that would have been good to know BEFORE hand. Then I noticed after a couple years some issues with my nipple. I was told it was pierced too close to the milk duct. I found out by going to dermatologist and they said it was definitely not supposed to be pierced so far back from nipple. I had to take my piercing out or it could cause complications. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Take the extra walk and go to the next one.P.s. No need to get nasty. Just sharing my experience. For owner to try to come out and start insulting me and making disgusting remarks is very immature for a business. Wonder if its same guy that told me it was my issue that the jewelry was too small. Smfh.

Tattoo I got was absolutely beautiful, best tattoo I got so far, the person that did my tattoo was funny and a nice guy plus he stood his ground against a customer who thought she own the place and he just told her to get out, I respect any work place that stands against unprofessional customers especially like the one today.

It was a pleasant and clean spot. He greeted me and we talked about the tattoo I wanted. He had a good suggestion on which lock to go with and his suggestion was great. The tattoo came out perfect and I love it. The atmosphere was very calm with good calming music to keep you relaxes. I will go back again and recommend him to others. Thanks

The owner and his wife are absolutely the best and kindest people I know . He has done every tattoo on me except one and I have 11 of them….. Guess who’s coming to town :) :)

I walked into the shop with my daughter not knowing that we would leave with such an amazing experience. As soon as we walked in we felt at home, it felt like we were meant to be there. BIG SHOUT OUT TO ROY!!!!!!! He pierced my nose on both sides so now I look super cool. He was amazing , Super professional and very sanitary.He has a really chill and positive vibe. I will most definitely be back again !

I got my first tattoo here a few years ago. The owner did my tat, and gave me a good price . He was very professional, and provided me great after care instructions. Its been about 5yrs and it still looks good just a little faded from time. I will be back for an touch up and maybe another one🤔

Photos should definitely speak for itself. Not only is the lining poorly done, but so is the shading. I didn’t realize how poorly this tattoo was done until, now, my third day after leaving the shop. I went to this shop twice. The first time I went it was to get a simple tattoo of an arrow and as time passed, the tattoo began to raise and scab tremendously. I gave it a few months because I was under the impression that maybe it was just the healing process and it would have improved with time. Eventually, I realized that not only was the tattoo artist unsteady handed but EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE with the needle which would explain for how severe my scabbing was and why I was bleeding so much when I got the tattoo that day. This tattoo resulted in a very faded, poorly aligned arrow with scarred and raised skin under the ink which gave the tattoo a very ugly appearance. My mistake was going back to this place. I thought that maybe if I went back to the same establishment where I received the tattoo, I would get some clarity on what happened and some type of compensation like a discount. The minute I walked in I saw the same man with dreads that did my tattoo from last time and to my understanding, he is the owner. I began to explain to him that I received a tattoo at his establishment a few months back and he asked who was the person to do the tattoo. I responded with completely honesty and said it was him. He didn’t even remember doing my tattoo and responded with “Are you sure I did that tattoo?” I would never walk into a random tattoo shop and lie on an artist. One of the workers also asked to see the tattoo that I was trying to cover up and when I showed him he began to say “He didn’t do that, he would never do something like that.” But AGAIN, I would never walk into a tattoo shop and lie on an artists work, what would I get out of that? The owner started looking on his computer to see what would be the right fit to cover up the poorly done tattoo. Not to mention, every single idea i had for a cover up, he said “no” to and he was not accommodating at all to my wishes as an, ALREADY unsatisfied, customer. Now that I think about it, he probably kept saying “no” to all of my ideas of a cover up, not because it wasn’t the right fit but because HE wasn’t capable of doing it as a “tattoo artist.” He eventually showed me a flower online that I actually liked so I signed the contract and read the signs that he advised me to look at before starting the tattoo. He advised for me to get four of those flowers so that it would be a sufficient amount of cover up. And charged me $60 for each one RATHER THAN making the flowers big enough to cover up the arrow. If you look closely, you can see that the last flower going up my forearm is technically not even needed and he just added an extra flower to make more money out of me. I ended up spending $130 on this piece (of junk). He said he was originally going to charge me $150 but he was trying to give me a “deal.” As he started, he was extremely social and comforting but AGAIN, he was extremely aggressive with the needle so he was re-damaging the skin he did the first time I came to the shop which was really PAINFUL but being that it was a tattoo I was getting, I tolerated the pain.

Do not go here if you want a piercing done well. Had my phone nose pierced by an older guy who works here and he had and attitude and the lady that was working with him was very impatient. I told her I wanted a specific placement so she told me to mark it myself and as I was doing so she goes and tells the older man and he just starts lecturing me about my piercing. To add on, the piercing is healing horribly and it’s not my after care that is at fault because I have plenty of piercings (10) and each of them healed like they were supposed to. He has a rough hand when piercing and an attitude towards customers.

Soooo I recently did a tattoo here ( A cover up) cool place, nice energy or whatever ... that’s not my issue . My issue is I was in so much pain I needed TWO session . I’m still waiting for my tattoo to be FINISHED... I was misinformed by a Artist that it would be done on a certain date and that they would reach out to me .... that date came and no one reached out . I then called them myself , spoke with the receptionist who informed me that my artist only works mon/Thursday and not on theDay the tattoo artist told me .... (which was MR. Rodgriquez who called me and misinformed me)Here we are days later and I still haven’t gotten a call or anything .. I’ve called this morning NOW the number to the store is saying it’s disconnected!! I’m just here waiting on a second session for my coverup ... when I payed $400 dollars for a $200 dollar job obviously. Moral of the story get your tattoo done on the spot if you relying on this tattoo shop to do it .. I would definitely be going back again . Just not splitting my tattoo into two sessions EVER again !!I can also agree that I’m definitely feeling like they only care about my money and not a damn thing about the art work they do because my tattoo is incomplete and very noticeable... as an artist you should want me to tell people who did it when asked and I, myself should be very proud ....This is an perfect example for karma !! And I truly like this place so I’m hoping this can all be resolved!!

Great service but terrible executions and communication. Went in there to get a tattoo and the guy did not at all do the design I wanted. I asked for a lotus flower and he gave me a completely different flower without telling me. Half my tattoo looks lopsided compared to the other and some of my lines aren’t even connected to each other. I won’t be coming back here again.

Ive been here three times now. Twice to get a tat for myself and once for my husband. Regardless of whose done my tats, Im extremely satisfied and would recommend this shop. Lines are always on point. All the guys are really friendly too.

Luis has done a great job on my skin, but the place is a little too pricey: I went there for a small tattoo that took literally 30 minutes and he charged me 140 bucks - there was another woman getting her legs tattooed and he charged her less than 500 dls..he was trying to play smart, speaking Spanish thinking I didn’t get it. Anyway not the best place in the BX, but definitely Luis has been great!!! I don’t really think I’ll go back and again, just for the price and the discrimination of the owner.

Went here for a cover up and it was a big tattoo the price was decent but man it’s true what they say you pay for quality. Worst tattoo i ever got i was better off with the tattoo they covered. If you do go anyways WARNING DONT GET TATTED by “Mr Rodríguez” hes Dark with dreads. Always on his phone and his quality of work is terrible. He doesn’t listen to what you want he does it his way, and his lining is way off. Idk about the rest of the crew but stay away from this dude.

I got my Nose pierced here about a year ago. Never had any problems. The lady that did my piercing was very kind and professional, great place. I’m gonna come here to get my nipples pierced soon.

Best tattoo shop in New York, this lady came in and started causing a fuss cause she thought she owned the shop. But the artist sprung to action and removed her from the shop so that the rest of the customers didn’t feel uncomfortable. Just cause you have money doesn’t mean you get to treat people how you want. Also my tattoo is the sickest tattoo in all of New York. Not all hero’s wear capes and today my artist was a hero

The person in charge of checking people in was too busy bashing a previous customer on her phone to even acknowledge the customer in front of her for like 10 minutes. Instead of telling me how to take care of my piercing or even involving me in the placement of it they just do it, no questions asked. In total theyre unprofessional, wouldnt go back there at all.

I came in to get 2 piercings, before going in I read reviews online & saw the negative ones. My experience turned out to be the complete opposite of what I read online, service was great. Quick & easy. I’ll definitely be back ! Thank you !!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WENT TO GET A TATTOO TODAY FOR MY SON, AND THE WAY THE BLACK MAN TALKED TO US IS LIKE WE CAME TO BEG IT FOR FREE. I HAD TATTOOS DONE HERE MANY YEARS AGO AND IT WASNT LIKE THAT. SEEMS AS IF HE IS HAVING A BAD DAY, BUT THAT SHOULDNT BE OUR FAULT.I did not state that I am taking a tattoo for a minor. I took my son there to do his first tattoo. He is 20 years old. The reason why I took him there is because I went there and get one done on my arm about 7 years ago. I make mention of the man professionalism, therefore, you are stating something else. People with those bad attitudes cannot and should not be on the Frontline dealing with customers. Periodt.

I got a belly piercing from here it looked amazing for the first month. I was taking care of it using the stuff they gave me to take care of it and I found things online to make sure it would heal fast. So, about 2 months into having it, it started to get infected even with taking care of it. It started bleeding etc. Qnd then I finally got into control with the piercing *so I thought*. So now 5 months after getting this piercing it literally fell out of my stomach. The ball was still screwed into my stomach. This place might have great low prices but its not worth it. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ON FORDHAM ROAD THE WORST PLACE TO GET PIERCINGS

No correct sanitation is being withheld within this business. Many occasions of piercings and tattoos being done without any gloves. The unprofessionalism is inhumane, completely uneducated, and without full degree. One thing you cannot do on a review page is argue back with the unsatisfied customers you already mistreated and then expect your business to continue getting either good reviews or continuous loyal clients but some may never understand. God bless your difficulties and the negative unhappy energy that you have unfortunately been carrying for the past couple of years now. It seems to me like it makes you feel better about yourself when you try to tell others how “they’re wrong.”

Would rate 0 if i could. These people have been here for years, and unfortunately like other shops that ive been to, theyre not about the satisfaction of their customers, do not know how to talk to neither customers, or their employees. their main priority is getting their money and sending you about your buisness. Coyote, and family all work in there, and unfortunately they all have the same attitude! Like they just dont care about the customers! i have to be able to trust the person doing my tattoo. That person was coyote, he presented himself real professional when he seen all my tattos, but He completley messed up my WHOLE tatttoo! These lines are horrible. Just sad, just doesnt look like something professional and done in a shop, ive had better house tattoos than this..Im currently trying to find the perfect person to fix up this tattoo for me. As something that i payed $100 for, i will probably be looking at another $300 just to fix these horrible lines. This man tattoos like a child, such a unsteady hand! Im not the only person with messed up tattoos by him, somebody i sent in also ended up in the same situation! Please go up to bubus piercings on east kingsbridge i promise you will get what you pay for! Too bad not everybody take the time to look at reviews. This man will never make it anywhere with the unprofessional job he is doing. his time will soon come when people finally realize how Horrible he is!! Tattos like a child!! I dont understand. I have got piercings here before... they just pierce you and send you on your way! Please go to bubus piercings to avoid further issues of your piercings getting infected because these people cant take the time out of their day to tell you how to take care of it!! Bubu will tell you to come back in a week for a check up and once your piercings have healed from time to time he gives you free ones. Bubu is such a great vibe and very KNOWN for his work. just two blocks up you could save yourself time, money, energy, and even tears!! This situation makes me want to cry! Lesson learned!

Garbage.Terrible Customer Service, The lady at the front desk has a bad attitude and didnt offer to help me but offered to help other customers. Waited too long just to get customer service. This place doesnt even need to be on the map. Really need new people who are more professional with their work if they wish to not lose business...but I guess they dont care about losing money or having good publicity. I pierced my ear here on a Friday, and returned the following Wednesday becuase my ear was in tremdous amounts of pain and my friend planned to get a forward helix that day as well. The (who I assume is the) owner begins to say that if I would’ve taken care of it, that wouldn’t have happened. He has every right to his professional opinion but he spoke to me very unprofessionally and I did not appreciate it. I ask if it would be possible to get a new piercing since I had came not even a week prior, and had spent 20 dollars on the piercing. He again says that it is not his fault that I didn’t take care of the piercing. (with a very snarky tone) Then he stopped what he was doing to attend to my ear. He proceeds to claim that the piercing I had in my ear wasn’t his work. This shocked me becuase how good can you be when you don’t even recognize the earrings that are used at your business. Then he says it has to be removed because skin had begun to grow over the back piece. He proceeds to “numb” the area, but I was in far more pain with the pressure he was putting on it and so I began to cry. As I cried he told me to stop, and that I was overexagerating. He then calls my friends in to show them that the ear had begun to get infected and uses this opportunity to again mention that I didn’t take care of it because that wouldnt have happened if I did. This had begun to really annoy me. Then when he finally removes the earring my friend comes to help me get my hair out of the way, he tells her to move and she gets upset and says “I don’t like that.” This really angers him and he tells her to leave and she does. Throughout this entire process I was sobbing, and in a lot of pain. To address the “you didn’t take care of it” thing he continued to say, I cleaned it every day since I got it with the saline solution I bought at that very place. Needless to say my friend did not get her forward helix becuase she witnessed the high level of unprofessionality at that establishment. Would not recommend at all.

I got a surface piercing from here. The guy didnt put the right bar in my piercing. I went back and the guy pretty much yelled at me and didnt want to see the work that the piercing guy did. The bottom call is in my skin and it isnt healing right smh never again going here.

Very professional ,quick and CLEAN . Ive gotten atleast 6 different piercings from this place and none have gotten infected .I dont go anywhere else highly recommend I just got my daith pierced by them today.

HORRIBLE ! The man that did my tattoo was so rude ! When I said Hi , he didnt say it back. He was blaming all HIS mistakes on me. He seemed like he did not like his job. He also does not know how to spell , which is ridiculous , being a tattoo artist. I will never go there for any services again.

I came in here about 2 months ago Mathew did my tattoo that I paid $400 and its f***ing horrible, the linings is worse than babies drawing ,he even miss several spots on the lines and shades, I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could I would give it 0 star

I tried calling about a specific piercing and they have no idea what I was talking about. I hear the guy in the background screaming at the receptionist for asking a question. Then they told me different prices. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Great service the tattoo artist was very nice and the tattoo itself came out amazing he pulled out a fresh new needle fresh out the package everything was clean and disinfected

Hole in the wall store. . Not very professional. I got Piercing from them, they gave me wrong size ring and told me they dont hold the one I need and basically take it out... waste of money, time, etc....

My family and I got 3 tattoos under an hour and a half. The artist was so professional and quick!

Theres a guy who did my mans tat of Thor s hammer. He is nice. I am planning on coming to get a touch up on an old hand tat.

The worst customer service ever, the guy with the dreads got the worst attitude ever and was disrespectful to everyone who came in, a person like that should notwork customer service because its clear he was never taught some manners/respect.
