Hat City Tattoo

The new shop is really great. If you are looking for a traditional tattoo you can’t beat Chris. He is a pro and genuinely a great guy. I have been to the shop and got tattooed a handful of times. Would recommend to anyone. Looking forward to my next session at Hat City!

Went with my friend for a walk-in yesterday and Brandon did both of our tattoos. He was awesome - very friendly and accommodating, thorough, clean, and our tattoos came out perfect. Reasonably priced. Definitely will be back. The walls are also covered in tons of really cool flash - Easy to tell that lots of talented artists work there.

First started going to Hat City Tattoo around 2008, and its now 2023 . Im still going to Hat City for my tattoos, Chris and everyone at Hat City are amazing. Ill never go to another shop. The new location on Federal Road is amazing. I look forward to many more tattoos at the new location.

I went to Brandon first tattoo, nice and clean gave me exactly what I wanted. Reasonable price for what piece I got. Definitely recommend for anyone interested in wanting a tattoo.

Have gotten multiple pieces from this place and make it a point to get more each time I am back in town. Whether it’s Chris or Jake, you’re in good hands and they are gonna shine where it matters most: shading, line work , and pricing. The quality of art is worth the fair price and I can’t say enough positive things about their new location.

Chris was great, made me feel comfortable even though Im just a regular Joe not looking for a sleeve or anything serious. The work was great, quick and very reasonable. Most of all, based on my few interactions just a good person. Highly recommend, went back again as did several family members.

If you are looking for American Traditional tattoos, this place is for you. Older folks will remember this place for its reputation for turning away female customers. That policy ended with a transition to new management. I went in, got a quick consult and was booked for an appointment. The appointment itself was fast, clean, and as painless as can be expected. I am super satisfied with my new ink. I look forward to getting more stuff done as soon as possible.

I absolutely love Hat City. They have done 4 pieces for me over the last 10 years, the most recent was a recreation of my grandfathers tattoo from the late 40s. Chris painstakingly sketched, modified, changed, erased, etc until I was happy with the recreation, and did it for me quickly but professionally. I am so happy I was able to recreate this tattoo in the same style and I am so happy with the results.I have friends many friends who have been tattooed by Chris, as well as Jake and Brendan. Around Danbury, I even have people recognize Hat Citys styleI will 100% be coming back here for more work, they are the best

Hat city is history and quality all in one. This place is legendary. Chris and Jake are phenomenal and talented tattooers with a taste for high quality pop and beauty. Hmm...so I went here to inquire about a tattoo. The place was empty so I was able to speak to the owner - he seemed ok but he told me he was unavailable but someone else could do the tattoo. I didnt mind that until I noticed the other tattoo artist he was talking about moved behind a wall and tried to hide from us. I thought it was pretty strange that someone who I was going to pay several hundred dollars for a permanent piece would not introduce himself and hide. This was enough to make me walk out and go elsewhere...which I did!

Had such an amazing experience getting a tattoo by Chris! He did exactly what I envisioned. It came out amazing and he was so nice and ptofessional. Will definitely be coming back!

Sub par work at best.i had some work done with them in the past and it was ok for the simple work I had done. And to be honest if your lookin to get just some back slapper Tattoo by all means this is your shop.. weird nerdy vibe with a stuck up attitude besides the fact they are 1 track minded with traditional style tattoos thinking stars and dots are the only way to fill a sleeve and the fact that they will wipe there ass with any opinion you have on any tattoo idea .. I do a lot of traveling and probably have over 100 hours on my body from various studios and have never witnessed such a suspicious vibe from any other shop in my life.. maybe if your getting a simple sailor tattoo some Initials your probably in the clear other than that I wish you the best other wise.

I had manny tattoos done by Chris and they came out great. I recieve allot of positave comments by random people. Chris tattoo meathods and applications are very sainatary. I never had any problems

Good lines and work, terrible pricing. charged 160 for a 13 small letters that took less than 20 minutes. Way over priced for a simple tattoo, do not recommend
