Perfect Tattoos & Body Piercings

A great experience! We had a group of 5 ladies call in on Fathers Day looking to get matching tattoos, and we were able to come right in. All employees were super nice while we hung out for a few hrs, Brett and Dave were very accommodating, and we were able to squeeze in an ear piercing as well! Everyone in my party absolutely adore our tattoos and HIGHLY recommend this lovely establishment! 5 stars!

I had a great experience here! The artists were really kind and helpful. My artist, Bethany (who is moving!) was very nice about a few changes I wanted for her design and did an amazing job tattooing me! She did great with the small, fine lines and color. I also love the sign in the bathroom 😂

David was my tattoo artist and an artist is what he is. Despite it not being his normal type of styling or design. The tattoo came out even better than I’d hope and would gladly go back to him again. I’d highly recommend him to anyone that asks , is thinking of getting a tattoo, lives nearby, or is going through the area on a trip. Don’t be concerned even if your idea is out of his normal. David will bring your idea to life with your complete satisfaction.

I got my Medusa pierced by Brett, it was a great experience! I appreciated the time taken to make sure it was centered and to look perfect. It was a very welcoming and comfortable environment. I’m definitely coming back for more tattoos and piercings!

I have got all my tattoos here and Im very happy with everything Ive got done here. The artist that are great people. They do great work as well. Would recommend this shop to anyone that ask where to go to get a tattoo.

My Fiance and I got tattoos for our wedding present to each other, Dave did and excellent job on both of our tattoos, we are both very happy and definitely will be back to see Dave. My daughter and I went in for matching tattoos. While she was on limited time and I had to work. The tattooist got us in promptly. Where we were met by a friendly staff and a pretty hilarious artist. Although its only 5 lines (10 total) We appreciate and were pleased with their services.

I had a memorial tattoo done today for my friend who passed 5 days ago. Brett did an amazing job, it was exactly what I wanted. He talked with me through the process, something I also appreciate when being tattooed. The shop is very clean and has a cool vibe. Will definitely go back to Brett in the future.

I got a tattoo from Brandi and we loved it! Very professional and funny. She was super easy to work with. She made multiple changes on the stencil for me. The environment she created in the booth was light and bubbly. I cant wait to get another one!

Taylor is such a great artist! I have multiple pieces from her and she can definitely knock anything out of the park. she makes sure you’re comfortable, makes great conversation and is always open to hearing your suggestions! 10/10 recommend her for your tattoo needs. I think all the artist there make you feel welcomed and I have seen some good work come out of this shop!

I went there to get a tattoo and showed Phil ahead of time what I wanted and he assured me he could do it. Well he couldnt and he wasted my time and money and I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. He can not shade and he is very poor with detail. I am sure there are people there who can tattoo but he can not do faces because after I got mine I saw a friend who got one done and it was horrible also. If you want a good tattoo go to Pat Bridges he did a great job and he was very nice and listened. The first was from Phil and the last two was from Pat Bridges from Dark Horse fixing it.

Downright amazing experience, very comfortable. very inviting and warming. phil, the owner was my artist, great guy, wonderful sense of humor. he made it relaxing. i was able to send him three photos of an overall idea of the sleeve i wanted and he brought it to life and beyond. I have had some not so great experiences in other tattoo shops, and perfect tattoos came highly recommended. so i decided to check out their facebook page which is exactly what you should do if you have a tattoo in mind that you want done the right way the first time. they have a very family themed business on their hands, i would give more stars than five if google allowed. i sat in this mans chair for eight hours and loved the tattoo, loved the vibes in the shop and with the people. loved the actual experience of a really great tattoo shop altogether. i will always say go to perfects. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I wanted a tattoo of an angelfish I raised, and I brought a picture of it to one of the artists here during a promotional event at the shop ($20 for a business card size tattoo). The artist did an amazing job capturing the beauty of my exotic tropical fish, and I have heard nothing but positive feedback on my tattoo! The cost here is more than I would have been able to manage if not for the promotion, but the end product definitely shows that the expense is well worth it!

Booked an appointment for 3 tattoos with Taylor K. for me and my bestie. Not only did she make me and my best friend comfortable, but she did such an amazing job with our tattoos and they didn’t take long! Definitely recommend perfect tattoo and Taylor for getting your next tatt! 😊

My Dad Gary Thomas Helsel whom tragically died when I was 7 used to work there I recently went in for a tattoo knowing exactly what I wanted(having indian blood in my family I decided to get a skull with a head dress.)and couldnt be happier with the result. Phill did a great job.

I walked in here to get help with a nose piercing (that was done by another shop) that way stuck in my nose and infected and was super painful. Brett was AWESOME and got the jewelry out for me and set me up with the proper nose piercing. I’m so happy I stopped in and that he was able to help me. Super cool and personable guy too, couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Brooque was pretty fly for a white guy. For a thorough review though. I got exactly the tattoo I asked for. Great atmosphere even with the staff being short handed. Great experience. I prefer a down to earth attitude and she was willing to give as much as she took in the joke department. Quality work. 5/5 would let her stab me again.

We popped in without an appointment to see about getting my nose pierced. We were helped by a girl at the desk who answered our questions and then directed us to Aubrey who actually did the piercing. Aubrey was very nice and professional, I felt so comfortable having her do it! My daughter ended up having her ears done by her too! Great prices, but they only accept cash..Just a heads up to anyone using their service. (Luckily we had enough). We would like to go back and have Ashley maybe do a tattoo for us as well!

I live in Lansing and I came here to get my 2nd tattoo, 1st time in a shop. My experience overall was pretty great! Bitsy was my artist, she was very professional. Super nice! A very creative artist! Gave me exactly what I wanted and did a great job doing so! The price was even better!! And I got 1 year of free touch ups. Definitely will be going back, worth the 2-hour trip!

Went to get my snake bites redone. My husband also wanted to get his ears pierced. We were worried as their piercer had already left but they definitely pulled through for us. We had an amazing experience and we love our piercings.

My sisters and I went in to get tattoos done, and we love them! Sheila did an amzing job, there were four of us in the booth and she was very calm and chill and patient with us! She listened to what we wanted and have us some really great pieces! Super friendly, lots of fun, amazing work!While in the chair, she noticed I had a hand tattoo that had been botched... and she fixed it right up for me! I loved her work and experience so much I went back the next day to get another tattoo from her! And again, great atmosphere, super fun to talk to and her work is just amazing! Very talented artists. I have had all 3 of my tattoos done here. Reasonably priced for everything. Everything is clean and sanitized all the time. The tattoo and piercing needles get opened up right in front of you so you know they are new and clean. Jake just did my most recent one and he did a very good job sketching up the design and doing the tattoo. I would recommend this place.

They had a sale this weekend of 18th and 19th of November. We came early to our appointments and they informed us that they canceled all appointments had been canceled because of bad roads. We were never reached out too to inform us. Very poor communication and extremely disappointed. We were already there at 6:20 with our appt at 7.

This is the worst tattoo shop Ive been to. Had an appointment drove an hour to get there only to be told my artist was busy. No problem Ill take another artist. Yeah I shouldnt have after my tattoo found out she had been tattooing for about a month. The owner tried to fix her line work and the tattoo still turned out bad I had to go to another shop to have it fixed. You want a good tattoo? Go anywhere else but here.

Tattoo turned out awesome jeff took care of me all day pretty much despite him being the only peri we on shift he still managed this big piece in one sitting. I highly recommend this place as the people were so nice and environment is chill once you get in the shop. Need an air conditioner on hot days light yesterday tho 🤓

Love it here. Phil is my go to guy for all my ink. Ive gotten over a half sleeve and some other stuff done and couldnt be more than happy. Great prices and amazing artist. I recommend Phil at perfect every time someone asks.

I got my first tattoo here and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. Phil was very nice and made sure I knew what he was doing. It took 45 minutes to do a wonderful piece of work on my collar bone. I recommend Phil highly. Definitely going back :)

Eddie has done my tattoos for a good amount of time. His line work is out of this world and I refuse to go to anyone else. I live in Atlanta now and I will tell you what, nothing has even touched Eddies talent. I drive up twice a year and be sure to book him out. Very satisfied !

I watched my daughter get a tattoo. The artist(Phil) did a wonderful job and does all of her work. Very informative and had patience with all my questions. I will be returning to get my first tattoo.

I got a Saturn tattoo behind my ear with some friends on a Sunday. When we showed up, our tattoo artist friended us on facebook to look at her work and have us facebook message her our requests. I saw on her facebook at that time that she was an apprentice, but this was not disclosed to us by any staff. I figured I would go through with the tattoo because it was going to be tiny and extremely simple. Little did I know how poor a very simple and small tattoo could be done. Brooque seemed distracted throughout the process, jumpy, and actually yelled for someone to answer the phone, looking away, distracted while tattooing (to explain this more thoroughly, she didnt pull the tattoo gun off my my skin to stop and engage with others) and actually yelled right in my ear. I showed her a photo where the circle of the Saturn faded from one color to another, but she didnt honor this. I told her I was open to recommendations for which two colors, but she made very cheap looking stripes in the planet, nothing like what Id asked for. It is also evident from the picture, that the line work was extremely poor. Brooque knew that this was my first tattoo and she made the experience extremely poor. When I went to another artist to have this covered, he knew exactly which shop I had gone to without me having to say- he had done dozens of cover ups from this shop in the past couple of months. I rarely if ever leave a bad review, but I dont want anyone else to go through what I did. I absolutely do not recommend Perfect Tattoos and Body Piercings.For reference: This photo was taken the day of the tattoo. Once healed, the color in the middle was completely gone. There was only light purple on the edges left.

Really love what the new owners has done to the place, looks alot better in there. The artist are really nice, polite and fair with there pricing! I know the current staff there is a rockstar team! I would go here if your looking for a tattoo.

The people here are nice but not very professional, and I would maybe be okay with getting piercings done here but the tattoo work i’ve seen from here is usually sloppy depending on the artist, not well done and doesn’t heal well. It seems like they are only concerned with getting your tat done as fast as possible without wanting to give a good product in the end, not happy with the tattoos I’ve gotten from there and won’t go back.

Had a vertical labret done along with my fiancé, did it horrible and my vertical labret came out as crooked and too shallow. I thought it would be okay, it kept getting infected despite cleaning it three times daily. Turns out, not only was it infected, it was rejecting because the piercer messed up. Paid 45 dollars and was promised that my piercing would be switched out later since the curve bar was too long. The metal material wasnt safe either. So then we came back later on the month to get it switched, and we couldnt get a free switch. I had to pay for an eyebrow ring because they actually lack most piercings. Dont even bother getting anything done here. I heard the piercings they get are from Amazon. You will end up getting tetanus eventually and end up the ER.

This is a awesome place. People are friendly and professional. They do great work. And can fit you in most times.

Doesnt matter if you are walking in with 100% virgin skin or if you are 99% covered - Keep your mind open & when everyone here smiles at you, smile back. Everyone you meet inside are genuinely THAT friendly, patient, and professional. This is a small town shop with a welcoming small town friendliness that has managed to also bring big city quality & skill variety into the mix without the big city prices or attitudes. I would travel several hundred miles to enjoy my experience here.

Guy at the front couldn’t make a straight line to save his life. Asked for a simple outline and half the corners aren’t even connected. New girl in the back did one the next day 10x better.

Tattoo places seem to be so backed up with bookings right now but by some miracle Richard was willing to fit my son in on his birthday which was super cool of him! Thanks for that :)

My sister and I went in to get simple flower matching tattoos, we came in to inquire about pricing, we showed him what we wanted and he quoted us 60-80 which we were fine with. Then we said something about the wording going under instead of on top and he said oh I didnt quote the words in the price so we decided we did not need the wording because that would be ridiculously priced. So then he went to the computer to look for our flowers and pulled up something that looked like a 5year old drew it and said that was the best i could give you for 40 bucks since i assume your looking for cheap tattoos. Thats not what we said. He found a different flower that we decided was pretty. He was rude and treated us like we were idiots from the start. During the tattoo process he interrupted our conversation multiple times and basically told my sister she was wrong. After my tattoo was done and he was working on my sisters he was slightly less of an a**hole probably because he realized he had done an absolutely atrocious job on our simple tattoos. We were treated with disrespect and the place smelled of weed. He then told us not to tag him on fb in the artwork he had done because he gets tired of people tagging him in small tats when in reality it was because he did a TERRIBLE job. Just an all around awful experience.

I have came to perfect for about 7 years now for piercings and tattoos. Everyone here has done exactly what I wanted to the best of their abilities (some of my tattoos were done by an apprentice). Even the apprentices do an amazing job.

I live 2 and 1/2 hrs away every time I try to get a touch up done, he is always busy!!! Im tired of waiting for a touch up that should be done shortly after, not 5 months later....So dont go here it will never get finished. .

I was planning on getting a tattoo yesterday. When I walked in, they were helping a group of girls, so I wasnt greeted. Not a huge deal, but after standing there for 20+ minutes and not one word was said to me, I ended up just walking out. Really poor customer service.

Shaine is very professional. Got matching tattoos and they turned out awesome. Will be returning to get more work done by him.

Had a tattoo done in March. Already faded and lines crooked and sloppy. Was charged $90 when I was quoted $40. Not happy won’t go back. Had to get it fixed elsewhere.!

Paid an apprentice $25 deposit for him to make a sketch for me. Promised to send me something within a week. Still havent heard anything 6 months later. Not very professional atmosphere.

I was in need of a simple replacement piercing for my nose and I pass by Perfect Tattoos every day on my way to work, so I decided to stop in against my better judgement, as it was more convenient than hiking down to my preferred body shop, Altered, all the way at the other end of town. After explaining what I needed, I was directed to someone who Im pretty sure was stoned. He then proceeded to direct me to nose studs, which he would have realized was wrong if had taken half a second to look at my nose, and then to some bars that looked more like what youd put in your tongue if your tongue was 2 inches thick. I wanted a horseshoe style, but I ended up settling on a full hoop because I was tired of dealing with them. When I got into work and went to put the hoop in, I discovered it was a 10g instead o the 12g I had requested. I called to ask about it, and they said they couldnt refund me because it was body jewelry. I dont think Ill be going back.Ever.

The people were really nice, but the piercing was messed up for both me and my friend. We both went to another studio and they said that whoever pierced it put them in the wrong place and it hurts realllllyyy bad.

Good tattoos. Music was too loud I couldnt hear anyone talk to me. Needs to be cleaned. No air conditioning so it was really hot. But overall I would come back.

This place was absolutely disgusting! The people are not professional and they dont know what they are doing, how to do certain piercings, sanitation laws, or what jewelry to use. I may as well have asked someone to pierce me in the back of their truck. Probably would have turned out better.

Very bad place, a complete dump and revived a horrible tattoo that we will have to go elsewhere to fix. Only accepts cash here too. The only reason it gets a 2star instead of 1 star is because of the cost. Very cheap place but you get what you pay for
