A Sailors Grave Tattoo Parlor

My tattoo artist was Blake Sprayberry and I absolutely LOVE my tattoo! It wound up taking longer than expected (10hrs), but he made the experience fun for me and my fiancée! Thank you Blake!

Just got my second piece done by Justin Couch. Not only is this guy an absolutely fantastic artist, but a total stand up guy as well. My suggestion is to trust him with an idea and just let him go crazy. Thats what art is all about, and he wont let you down. Everyone there who Ive met is awesome. Go look at their portfolios, look at their art, and decide for yourself. I dont see myself getting ink from anyone else. I live an hour away and still trek down here. Its worth it!

I have been to Hugh THREE times now. He is the BEST. He’s professional, patient and extremely talented. For people getting their first tattoo, he’s gentle enough and makes you feel comfortable. Dusty Mullinax is the best! He gave me a great experience for a large piece tattoo! Not only did he do breathtaking work, but it still look so great and it’s been almost 2 years since I got it! I would recommend him hands down! Excellent work, exquisite detail and no fading or dulling to the piece at all! One of the things I admire is his passion for his craft and his work shows how passionate and driven he is to deliver such outstanding quality! He was easy to talk to and express what I wanted. He went above and beyond in my expectations!

This a great place with skilled artists. The guy I saw was willing to work with me on my small budget and no notice, unfortunately a work related emergency came up and I had to leave before he could get to working on me. If Im ever back in town, Ill be sure to call them up and set up an appointment.

This place has several fantastic artists. Very clean and great pricing for the quality of work.I just got my recent one from Justin Couch and couldn’t be happier with the finished product. It was a six hour session, but he did phenomenal. Always checking up on me during the process and taking breaks as needed. I was super impressed with his ability to freehand or use minimal stenciling. I highly recommend him!

Went around to a few parlors today looking to get a couple pieces done, the first couple lacked personality and had bad tattitude. When I arrived at A Sailors Grave, I was instantly greeted by Dan, even in the middle of doing a lower back piece, and he immediately made a great impression. Im highly impressed with all the art I saw come out of that parlor today, including mine and my wifes. This will be our go to spot when it comes to tattoos. Well I’ll say Dan’s the man. Dudes been tattooing me for over ten years. One of the best free hand tattooers I’ve ever seen. Dudes always on point with his work, and his professionalism is beyond words. I’ve had ALOT of custom work done by him and at this point only one I’ll let tattoo me. With that being said I drive over a hour and half just to have all my work done. Dans always surrounded by good company so if you’re looking to have work done I would definitely recommend coming through and letting these guys do what they do best.

Love. Love. Love! Dan has done all 5 of my tattoos over the past 5 years. I follow him wherever he goes, and will never let anyone else tattoo me. He surpasses my expectation every time, and always listens carefully to what I want. All of my tattoos have been hand drawn on me by Dan, creating custom pieces. I’d give him 1649503 stars if I could!

My husband and I started having work done by Dan Coverstone a few years back. He by far is the best artist around! Dan was able to fix and finish a very poorly done pinup girl on my husbands arm after we were unable to locate the previous artist. Dan took an eyesore of a tattoo and made it beautiful. We recommend him to anyone who asks.

Justin tattooed me ! My first watercolor tattoo ! & it was a cover up ! You can not even tell . The tattoo was not only amazing and way better than I expected but he put my daughters name above it with no charge to the additional tattoo. He’s the best value price & talented artist I’ve met. I came to the shop following Raiden Caine,my artist for a long time. I had good vibes as soon as I walked in and the shop was very clean and welcoming. Each artist has their own unique space which is really cool! I got another piece of my sleeve that Raiden is killing and met several of the other artists, who all very talented!! I really like Dan here. I was a heavy bleeder with my first two tattoos I had done at other shops, but he has done my last two tattoos and I didnt bleed either time!
