Its always an amazing experience coming to John at Vanity. I have been coming here since his old shop in Roselle, so 30 years? Clean, professional and youre always guaranteed to leave happy. Cant wait to have him rework my 34yo wolf tattoo and add on to it. Hes already got some great ideas. The entire staff is super welcoming and friendly.

I called the owner on Tuesday and he did my bf first tatt two days later. Sent him a design and he redrew it bigger and better. Pricing was fair and he was very knowledgeable and thorough. Will be back Sunday to get my sisters ears done because he did mine a year ago and nailed it too. Ty John!

Called at 11am, got in at 12pm for a first time earlobe piercing. We were heading back to Wisconsin from Chicago and needed somewhere along the way. Vanity had great reviews and I can see why. The space was unique but very clean. Jon, the owner, was patient, kind, informative, and overall very quick from start to finish. His knowledge of this craft was evident. His helpful advise to taking care of the piercing has allowed me to have very little discomfort in the healing process. We are currently on week 2 with zero complaints or issues. Great job by Mike today on my first tat. Clean, professional, sharp lines, great color. Him and John had me laughing with their side conversation. Known 3 others that have been going to Vanity for decades. This is the place to go to sit and relax and let the pros do their work. Will be coming back.

I had to give this review a lot of thought.On one hand, Vanity Tattoo is very clean, sanitary, and the staff is friendly and on time. Also, my husband has received two tattoos from Vanity Tattoo and was very pleased with his experience and his tattoos and he will continue to be a customer.My experience was a bit different.I was incredibly nervous to get my nose pierced. The last piercing I had was when I was 5 for my earlobes so I knew nothing about the process.When I first went into the Piercing Room, I was asked if I had a photo of what I wanted. This threw me for a loop as I didn’t know I needed a photo for a nostril piercing and because when I called to make the appointment, bringing in a photo was not mentioned.In fairness, the gentleman placed the hoop where he thought it should go, and we moved it twice. However, after living with it for a few hours, something still bothered me about its placement, and I Googled “Nostril Piercing Placement” and discovered why it didn’t look right to me. My piercing was not located at the end of my “nostril spiral”. I did end up taking the piercing out as I just didn’t like how it looked.My recommendation would be to take in a picture of where you want your piercing to be.Again, the staff is friendly, on time and the business is very clean and sanitary.

Johnny thank you so much for my “walk in ” tattoos! I thought I was walking in to make an appointment and to show what I wanted and I walked out with a finished product! I am beyond happy with the results and professional experience! Definitely will be back!

Had a great experience from calling to book and the actual appointment. I was very nervous to get my nose pierced and Johnny was motivational and fun! The entire process from check-in to leaving was about 15 min. Highly recommend going here for a first piercing.

This was my second time here and had another great experience. The first time was March 2020, John tattooed my 4 paw prints that are of my actual dogs past and present and so meaningful, John is awesome. I returned Nov 2023 to add another paw and the other 2 tattoos pictured. This time I had Eva and she is awesome too. The details she achieved bringing my drawings to life so to speak. She respected my drawings while making recommendations. I trusted her immediately. The shop is super clean and all the staff there were super friendly. I’m already thinking of my next tattoo!

Best tattoo shop ever!!!!!This place is absolutely the best. They treat you like family and give you the best quality that you ask for. I dont know about piercings but Ive been seen by both Alex and Eva and both are incredibly nice and pay attention to detail. Its a little pricey I will admit but every penny is worth it. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

Amazing experience for my first tat / large tat. Eva took care of me , was super kind and supportive of the process. Just had an awesome cover-up tattoo done by the owner, John. The shop is AMAZING, you feel at home in there. John, Johnny, and Alex are all very welcoming. John was awesome to watch go to work, could see the artist brain working, and made the tattoo pop more and more. I will most definitely be going back for more.

Called to see if they could repierce my ears since I haven’t had earrings in them in years. Took me right away, John looked to see if I still had the holes. He was able to find all 4 of the previous piercing holes and get me set! No repierce needed and quick. I don’t even remember the last time I had 4 earrings in! Thank you so much

Best shop I’ve been to period.The atmosphere, artists and cleanliness of the shop make it number one in my book. It’s a comfortable environment with friendly vibes. John is an amazing and experienced tattoo artist that absolutely loves what he does and has perfected his craft. This wasn’t my first tattoo but John gave me his personal advice on aftercare and after two days my tattoo is healing better than any I’ve had before. Listen to him on his aftercare treatment you won’t be disappointed! Go to Vanity and you’ll get fantastic service from anyone! I’ve been a drifter to many tattoo shops all over the Chicagoland area and In some other states as well, but now I’m glad to call vanity my spot and John my artist for all future work.

Horrible experience and I didn’t even step foot into the business. Had a SCHEDULED appointment with Eva that was made 4/23/24. I called Vanity tattoos to confirm this appointment and whoever answered the phone let me know that Eva, my tattoo artist will not be in and that she’s somewhere out of the country. i wish that information was transparent and given to me while scheduling this appointment originally. I was very confused since I have emails between Eva and myself scheduling my appointment, describing what I’d like and having her quote me a price. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back since the lack of communication and professionalism is lacking

I have known the owners for 20yrs from piercing to tattoos they have been my go too! John sr and his kiddo have turn into family over the years. I have nothing but good things to say about this establishment. Clean, efficient and AMAZING customer service. I went in for a Medusa piercing today they took their time for perfect placement. That speaks VOLUMES! They take pride in their work and it shows! My puppy pulled out the end of my nose stud and I went to another shop to get a replacement hoop. I had a wicked hard time getting it in, so I stopped by Vanity because its close to my house. John was so nice and got that hoop in for me, had to push through a little cause it was already closing up. free of charge. I will definitely be going here for my next piercing. The whole shop has a great vibe and John was so helpful and nice.

Came to Vanity for my first tattoo 2 weeks ago after it was recommended to me from a friend. First, I was greeted by the sweetest and coolest people. Paperwork was handed to me in a matter of minutes which allowed the tattoo process to get started shortly. John- the incredible owner and artist, was very patient with what I was looking to do, even given the fact that my piece included a different language. As he was working, he talked me through what would look best for my piece (given his professional opinion and experience in this industry)- and it turned out amazing! He was able to go above and beyond for what I originally came in looking to do and I couldn’t be happier with what I left. A huge thank you to John, April, and the rest of the Vanity team for the incredible experience, environment, professionalism, and results. Looking forward to coming back again in the future!

Just got my second tattoo done there. It was beyond amazing. Not only is the Staff amazing but they are so talented. My first tattoo was done by Alex and to this day it still looks fresh. The one I got today…wow just wow. Eva did it. She seemed nervous due to the amount of detail but boy oh boy did she nail it. I’ve gotten tattoos by an Ink master winning and her tattoo is the best one in my skin. 11/10 highly recommend

We had a WONDERFUL experience! I took my grandfather to get his ear pierced for his 80th. The owners were extremely knowledgeable, informative, and patient. The shop is so nice, sterile, and in a great location. We had tons of options for sterile jewelry to use as well. I definitely recommend!

Ill be honest, when i first walked in I felt a little awkward, but as soon as John walked out to greet me, he made me feel at ease.He was very professional and did a great job on my piercings, taking into consideration my opinions and thoughts. Everything was very clean and he helped with the removal and cleaning of the piercings I already had. He provided care instructions and even offered to be available if I had further questions or doubts. Very reasonable price for the 3 piercings i got.I ended up going back a week later with my sister to get her a piercing as well, and it was handled in the same professional manner.I even asked John to take a look at one of my piercings as it was causing me discomfort and he offered to change the earring to something smaller since my ear was swollen, but overall he said everything looked great. And since the change, my ear feels bett no more discomfort.Thank you John for being so caring and attentive towards my sister and I, we really appreciate it! 😊

Had my daughters first ear piercing here. The gentleman that did it was amazing. He was patient and comforting as she was a little nervous. He took his time but pierced quickly. They turned out great and its been two weeks and shes had no pain or redness !

Just got my nose piercing done here at the recommendation of the sales ladies at Claires. So glad I went here. They are an amazing group that work together. Cant wait to get my tattoo done by Ava next week!!

What a great experience! Alex was able to squeeze me in as a walk in to do a memorial piece for my grandmother. I am so happy with it, so much that I came back and got a couple more pieces done. He was very attentive with what I wanted and gave me honest feedback about some of my ideas that wouldn’t turn out good. I appreciate his honesty and hospitality! I’ll be back again

Clean, friendly, and comfortable environment... this was my second time going to Vanity Tattoo for a tattoo... and Im never disappointed. Alec was super patient with my mom and I today, making sure we were happy, comfortable, and satisfied. Both nervous and picky ladies, he handled us like a charm! Johnny did my boyfriends start to his sleeve, he was very accommodating with with preference on styling etc. He went above and beyond to create the perfect mix for him and blend the colors correctly to find one that he really loved. John did my reborn tattoo (tattoo that was 7 years old) that he brought back to life. He was very patient and let me have breaks in between which was important to me- made me feel comfortable and not rushed like other places. VERY professional and nice. I walked in to get my nipples pierced and was able to get in immediately. The shop is very clean, lots of seating, and UNIQUE. Unlike any other I have been to. I called my friend after and told her I would be returning for my tattoos.

My second tattoo done by John back and forth for about 2 months between different shops hes the only one that remembered every detail about the tat and placement and goes a long way with me love the work I would definitely recommend this shop to everyone

I absolutely LOVE this place! I love it so much my daughter gets tats with me now. Took me years to research an artist who I felt could capture what my visions were, but couldnt express artistically and I found that artist in Johnny. He and all the others are EXTREMELY TALENTED and Ive had one done by his dad too. This is my tat shop for life. I send my friends there and theyve been impressed as well. Top notch!

I got my tattoo done by John Markiano and he did a great job! He was so friendly, took his time to make sure the drawing was just how I wanted it, had reasonable prices, and the tattoo came out great! The shop was also so nice and very clean. I highly recommend this shop and John!

Today I got my first tattoo done with Alex!! He was so nice and reassuring throughout the whole process and really made me feel comfortable, especially since this was my first tattoo! His work was amazing and he even made sure, when a part of the sketch didn’t adhere on my skin, to add the part that was missing to make sure the script was exactly how it was supposed to! Alex is amazing and highly recommend him especially for a first tattoo!!!! Can’t wait to go back to him for more in the future!

John the Owner has done ALL our Tattoos for everyone in our family and they are all amazing! He is meticulous and I love how he sees something and adds that little personal touch to the tattoo to make it very perfect!!

John took his time throughout this entire process and the position of the tattoo was so percised and rather difficult but he did such an amazing job. Got my first tattoo here and i could not recommend it more. Alex was my tattoo artist and he was very professional and passionate about what he does. He clearly had lots of experience and did a rather difficult tattoo like it was nothing. Very pleased with the outcome of the tattoo, professionalism, cleanliness and overall atmosphere of both the shop and its talented workers. Will likely be returning for another soon!

I just had a flag that was designed by John and he did the best work I have seen. I have already received many compliments on the work. He is a very talented artist. I would highly recommend him for your next piece. I plan on coming back for more work. Everyone was very friendly and asked if you wanted water, coffee or a soda to make you more comfortable while getting my tattoo.

We took my niece to get her ears pierced for the first time. They were by appointment only which was great since we didn’t have to wait. When we walked in we were impressed at how clean and open it was. We dealt with Jeff who was fantastic! He was friendly and put my niece at ease. He explained everything throughly and handled it quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend using them!!

I came here a couple days ago looking to get a couple of ear piercings. I had been looking for a good place to go to get them done and finally came here after it was recommended to me. I ended up getting my conch and rook done by the piercer John. Overall it was a great experience! John was very patient and made sure I liked the placement of the jewelry before piercing anything. John and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and kind. Everything was clean and properly sterilized. John gave very detailed instructions about caring for my piercings and gave me his business card and told me to call him with any questions, if any came up. I highly recommend coming here for anything you may want done!

My mom, sister & I had been talking about getting tattoos for awhile. My sister had just moved to Elgin & we were looking for places out by her to get them done at. We honestly found Vanity Tattoo on Google Maps & read the reviews. We were nervous at first, but as soon as we pulled into the parking lot the owner helped us park (the lot was FULL) & allowed us to use a side door so we didn’t have to walk through the snow & get all wet. As soon as we walked into the doors we were greeted by EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON! The artists there are beyond amazing, talented & nice! We had Julio & he was very honest about placement, the drawings, etc. he was absolutely amazing & talented; we couldn’t have been more grateful to have had someone who tattooed us. This place is beyond wonderful and BEYOND CLEAN!!! This is definitely are new spot for tattoo’s & we LOVE it! Thank you guys so much!!

John is awesome. Super friendly and charismatic. I got my nose piercing here and was worried because I was coming in an hour before closing. He was very chill and didn’t rush me at all. Over all the place was super clean and the whole process was fast and easy. If you’re thinking about coming here stop thinking about it and just do it. You won’t regret it.

Clean, airy, friendly. Alex is a master at his craft. He takes the time to make sure you have the design you want, and makes sure you are comfortable at all times.

Alex did mine and my sister’s tattoos. First off, the shop is spotless, and each artist has their own station to decorate the way they want. Everything is sterile and pristine. The artists’ stations are so cool! Second, Alex was very professional and personable. This was my sister’s first tattoo, and understandably she was nervous. She had him do a few different designs, which he had absolutely no problem doing. He joked around with us and made us feel very welcome and at ease. He’s designs were flawless and exactly what we wanted. I have had 3 other tattoos before, and I have to say this tattoo hurt the least out of all of them. He had a VERY steady hand, was gentle, but got the ink in. Our tattoos turned out exactly the way we wanted them to. Due to covid, there is hand sanitizer everywhere, everyone wore masks, and elbow bumps were exchanged instead of hand shakes or hugs. I appreciated that very much. There were many other people who came in during our time there getting tattoos and piercings by other artists and piercers. We will definitely be back again!! Highly recommend this shop, and Alex. I had some work done by Alex and was very happy! The atmosphere was very clean and professional and everyone there was great to be around. You can tell that they are a tight group of artists and can likely accommodate any type of work you want done. If they cant do something specific they have resources to others that can. Very good group - Ill definitely be going back for some more custom work.

Clean and bright, this is an absolutely professional shop. I cant speak for all the artist, but we saw Johnny. He was very meticulous and well prepared. This is the second tatoo hes done for my wife, and my first from Johnny. He took the ideas that we brought and took the best parts of each and incorporated them into a custom design. He really took his time in setting up, understanding that its a lifetime deal, perfection matters. And he is a perfectionist!great long straight lines and flawless shading. A true professional. Id highly recommend him for anything, hes first and foremost an artist, great drawing. And second, a detailed perfectionist. Hes not afraid to try new things, but he really takes it with the heavy consequences it deserves. Check this place out!

My friends and I came in for some piercings and they took us in right away. John the owner did all of our piercings and it was very clean, and you can tell he genuinely loves his job! Great family business, starting coming to them before they moved to their current location. Always clean, respectful and have done great work on me. I even trust them to pierce my daughters nose. I have been going to Vanity since it was at its old location. It has been the only place I feel truly comfortable at. If you need a tattoo done definitely go to Vanity!! Ask for Jeff! Everyone there is great, but Jeff does all my tattoos and he is definitely very conscious of what you want, and comes up with great designs when you have just an idea of what you want. His work is always impeccable. You can count on him to give you want you want, and I also feel comfortable asking for it to be fixed if it is not 100% how I want. Definitely go to vanity! It’s like a second home!

I went and got a piercing at a DIFFERENT shop, but it fell out. The piercer would not be in for a week and my hole was going to close. I called Vanity and they were so nice and said to come on in and they will see what they can do. The hole started to close but did not close all the way. So they took a pole, popped it back open and put in a new piece. $20, in and out. I told them I passed out and Johnny kicked on the fan, and sat with me. THANK YOU JOHNNY! You saved me from having to get pierced again. Johnny was quick, knowledgeable and so nice! Wish I had gone to vanity to get it done the first time.

This place was awesome from start to finish! I was welcomed by April, and she set the tone to be a friendly, professional establishment. I honestly felt like it was a hangout spot, and probably wouldnt have left after my tattoo if I wasnt so hungry. It was my first tattoo, and Rod was able to take a Google image and shrink it down to the size I needed. Then, he did a wonderful job with my tattoo and Im nothing less than 100% satisfied!! Great place and I totally recommend it to rookies, veterans, and all those between.

I’ve gone to Vanity for all of my tattoos and love it there. Jeff has done every tattoo I have except for one, and all of them turn out amazing. He’s super helpful with designing and placement as well. Everyone that works there is really friendly! I’d never go anywhere else for a tattoo; I’ve never been disappointed. I did ear piercing to my daughter that is almost 6y. The owner did the job. He is knowledgeable, friendly and likes to educate his customers. After few weeks my daughter lost one of her earrings and her piercing almost closed on one of her ears. The owner got us in free of charge. I think this tells a lot about a person. I highly recommend this place.

Brought my 13 year old to get her ears pierced. The owner did it, and he was so nice and helpful. He explained what he was doing and how to clean them afterwards. The place was really nice and open. Ill be checking them out for my next tattoo.

I get my work done by Johnny who’s an amazing artist and an awesome guy to talk to, never makes you feel uncomfortable or rushed when making decisions and is always prepared. Seen him for 3 tattoos the past 1.5 years and I’m already planning my 4th.

I cant say enough great things about Vanity Tattoo. I had my second Tattoo done by John last night. He is always so helpful when your really not sure what you want. He tells you like it is. Had called to schedule an appointment to get a half sleeve done about a month and a half ago. I have had my previous work done here and always recommended it when someone asked. However, it was like pulling teeth to get a call back or to communicate with the artist I had requested(did my other two tattoos). Finally the artist just stopped responding and never followed up to even say “Hey. I don’t have the time for a lengthy piece at this point.” Or even just say “I’m not interested in doing a piece like this at this point.” Never got a follow up response on why it was made so difficult to make an appointment and get something sketched out. Very disappointed in the lack of communication which ultimately lead me to go to another shop.

This was our first time at Vanity Tattoo, and aside from the friendly staff, Carlos did an amazing job on our matching tattoos. We are already making plans to go back. I wish I could give a rating of more than 5 stars. 👍😀

Got my belly pierced here about 2 years ago by Johnny. He was super nice along with everyone else there. I was so nervous about it but he made it so fast and simple. I am planning on getting my first tattoo at Vanity for sure because I was so pleased with my experience!!

My 6 year olds ears grew over her earrings. I called Vanity to ask for advice, they were amazingly helpful and professional. I even was able to send pix to their fb page so the piercer could evaluate over the phone. My sister ended up getting them out without issue. But i brought my daughter in to buy proper earrings and as well as some for myself. He applied them to both of us abs was very kind. Would def come back for any future needs

I did my new tattoo with Steve, he was very nice and i loved how much details Steve put in my new tattoo, it was very simple tattoo but he put a lot of effort into it, he did much more better than i was expecting. Im very satisfied with my new tattoo and i would definitely recommend Steve, and I will probably come back for more!

I love this place. Even though I only got one tattoo at Vanity I have nothing bad to say about this place. Everyone is so nice there but the only thing I had problems with was the after care for a belly piercing. I was told to wash it with regular Dial soap when I take a shower and not to use Seal salt spray. After a year following the after care advice my piercing was not healing right and hurt like a mother and wouldnt stop bleeding. I finally gave up and purchased Sea salt spray and my piercing is now healing the way it should. Other than that I cant complain and would definitely get another tattoo at Vanity.

This was a couple years ago. When I went in to inquire about a tattoo Ive been thinking about getting done for my two nieces I wasnt at all welcomed by any of the artists. My friend had just gotten his tattoo done earlier that day and I was really impressed about the detailing. I was asked my ideas while one man was sitting far away so it felt like I was shouting, and when I told (shouted) what I was thinking about he said he wouldnt do it. I was thinking about doing a little tiara or bows for each of the girls, but I was immediately interrupted by that man. He said if he saw me in the middle of the street he would cut me with his knife. That was the most unprofessional interaction Ive ever had. I never would have thought I was going to be threatened by a dude who looks like he never showers more than once a month. I felt unsafe, and just completely disappointed. I will never do business with a place who threatens their clients. There is a way to say you cant do a design. You dont tell a client youre going to assault them. Dont ever come here. Youll get the same treatment like I did before, and I dont want anyone ever feeling unsafe.

Absolutely adore this establishment! I’ve frequented it for years now, getting different piercings, and have never been disappointed. I had a very detailed linework drawing tattooed on my hip earlier today by the owner, John. He did an incredible job and I’m overly pleased. I went in to get a left nostril nose piercing. John did my piercing. The staff was very professional and clean. The place was clean and they did wash their hands a lot. I was in a out in a flash. He gave me after care instructions. I would definitely go back for another piercing.

Worst experience I have ever had at a tattoo shop. My sister and I went in the shop todayto get information on a small tattoo that we each wanted to get to remember our mother. She passed away on 10/7/18 & her memorial service was today. This idea my sister and I had was spur of the moment but the website says walk-ins are welcome. Well, we walked in and there were zero customers in the shop. We thought we would have no problem getting this done today as a walk-in. First words that came out of Jeffs mouth were I dont have any availability today. So I decided to ask him if he could draw something up for me real quick so I could decide if I wanted to schedule an appointment for the following day. He said no about drawing up a design. I brought in a small pin my mother wore. I really wanted an idea of the size design we would be working with. Then he quoted a price before ever showing us what he could draw up for us and never even offered to show us any of his work. He said the soonest he would be able make us an appointment would be for the following day. Again, I was uncomfortable requesting an appointment when I was never shown what sort of work he could do for us. I told him I will think about this but asked what time I should call back so that I could secure the earliest appointment for the following day. He told me the earlier the better because he was planning on leaving early tonight. I completely understand about having to close up early, however, I was put off by every question or interaction that was had between us. Im not quite sure he understood the sentimental value of trying to get these tattoos done on such a special day for our family. Needless to say we went to a different shop that we had used multiple times. Immediately the artist drew up the exact design that we were hoping for. And got to work on us right away. I am so happy we decided to go to the other shop and get exactly what we wanted. And I did not feel like a bother like I did at Vanity Tattoo. I only decided to try your shop because your location is very close to me. However, I am so disappointed in my experience I am 100% certain I will never step foot in your shop again. And when my friends ask me for a recommendation, I will make sure to tell them whatever they decide stay away from Vanity Tattoo.

Jeff did an amazing tattoo for my sister and I. We got matching tattoos. Great price and the quality of his tattoos are unbelievable. I am planning on getting a sleeve done and he will be my guy for that. Highly recommended.

Nothing bad to say about this place. Johnny and John are awesome. They both have done tattoos on me and both came out amazing. I see a lot of negative comments about this place. Honestly if you have a bad experience just call them and Im sure they will find a way to fix it. But keep in mind and treat everyone with respect. Not everyone will put up with your childish behavior. After all respect should be given if you expect it in return.

The shop was very clean and the staff were very professional. This was my 5th tattoo, and my favorite so far. Alex was really nice and I was super impressed with my new tattoo. I would absolutely recommend him as an artist, and Vanity Tattoo as a reputable place to get a tattoo.

I have called their office 4 times on different days, and left a message for Rob. I still havent heard back. I went there in march and although I loved my tattoo, I am very frustated with the fact that the artist hasnt found 3 minutes out of his day to return my phone call. ROB IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE THIS ... I have been calling Vanity tattoo to let you know that I would like a touch up. I went in there in march & I didnt call sooner because It took me a while to heal as i had an allergic reaction to the pink ink. my tat is now better but there are spots where you can totally tell were never touch by the needle, so I would like to get it fixed, It is my understanding that i have 6 months to return for a retouch.

So overpriced!! You can literally get a dot and they’ll charge you $100. I walked in there with an appt and I didn’t get helped till 10 mins later. They didn’t even ask what I wanted or anything the guy just asked for my ID and had me sign paperwork. He they told me to send him the picture of what i wanted. He didn’t even say how much it would of been until I asked him. Good thing I did before I even got anything! he said it was going to be $100 and it would take him 10 mins it was something so small going on my finger. I should of just gone with the original person I had that was charging me $40. Only because they weren’t available I came here. Should of listened to the ppl that were telling me this place is overpriced! Will never come here for a tattoo.

Took my friend here so we both could get tattoos, hers a tribute to her mom and mine for my kids. The guy wouldnt do the design either of us wanted. Said it would have to be a certain size and it wouldnt fit on the wrist...BS!! I asked what size needle do you plan on using cause I have seen this specific tattoo in person and it can be done! Gave us such attitude! No thanks....I am going somewhere else!

My experience, I went to get a tattoo on my birthday and I asked one of the workers if they could do it for me; he said he didnt do detailed tattoos and suggested me to go with another worker in the shop named Alex . The Artist said he would try his best so it would look similar. I dont want to make this story long so I endend up with a tatto that looked nothing similar to the original one. He charged me $180 for 5 mini birds that look like flying triangles, my feather doesnt have shape, the lines look like he was shaking while doing it & the letters on my tattoo look like a 10 year old wrote them. When he showed me the sketch, I thought it would look way better when he would do it. Looking at the reviews after getting it, this isnt the first bad review that they write about him . Supposedly he guarantees his work , he chargers me to fix it for the terrible work . Sadly I cant post a picture of it 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Message them on Facebook on Friday September 6th to book an appointment. They wrote back and said Sunday September 15th at noon would work. I confirmed. Then I asked if they would like me to drop off my designs ahead of time, they told me to email them over. Did that and explained how I wanted them and where, thanked them, and said see you sunday the 15th at noon. This morning I got an email from them saying my designs were too small for how I wanted them and that the artist who was going to do them forgot he had his daughters birthday that day so he couldnt do them anyways. Terrible customer service. They should have just suggested that what I wanted needed to be bigger for it to come out nice, which i would have totally agreed to seeing as i want these badly for family who has recently passed away. Also, how do you forget your daughters birthday party? That is something completely unforgettable if you ask me. Ive read past reviews about this place turning down people who dont want huge tattoos done and this confirmed it. If you dont want something huge done, dont waste your time with this company because they will only get your hopes up and waste yours.

I am thrilled with my new tattoo and the touch up on the ribbon. Alex was wonderful and the salon is clean and inviting. This should be a best of the fox winner.

I got a tattoo from Jeff about a year ago and his line work was not the best. I got a heartbeat tattoo (first tattoo ever) and once it healed I noticed a small gap in the line. I might go back but would definitely want someone who can make straight lines..

I got three tiny tattoos done on my 18th birthday at vanity. The healing process went fine, but they came out patchy. Fine with me, it happens. Whatever. So I went back a year and a half later, several times to try and get a touch up, and every time I was told they were either too busy or my tattoo wasnt healed yet. It has been over two years, and I have yet to be able to get it touched up. Not to mention one of my peircings from here rejected, as well as a friends. And the price for it was a bit much. Either way, so much for free touch ups. Ill be going to a new place for my next tattoo this summer and my fixes.

Really a let down and waste of time, met with Alex for a complete back piece and cover up...Gave him just a couple of musts (like I wanted my spine covered and a tree design THATS IT) Finally had to email him as I had told him I wanted to get started ASAP and he told me that wasnt a problem... So after waiting past the time frame (he gave me to start) I emailed. Finally a response with an idea and let him know to go with it as it was a very, very rough draft. I also let him know my husband was looking for a large shoulder piece as well so this is two major expensive pieces...he sent me a crayon like covering after I emailed him again after waiting even longer. It really seemed as if he forgot and when he got an email from me he threw some lines on it and said he was still thinking about it...Needless to say I never heard from him again...I wish he had just told me he couldnt do it because it was a giant waste of my time and I could have found someone else who could have started when I needed them to begin (within 2 to 3 weeks).

Will never go to Vanity for tattoo. If you are not getting big ink, they want nothing to do with you. Even when the stop is empty for the whole hour and a half I was there looking for ideas. Passed me off to Johnny, hes a great piercer, but useless when it comes to tattoo. He sucked all the joy out of what I went in there for and I finally left and will go elsewhere. What a shame. They told my sister she was to young to get her belly button pierced when my mother went with her. I was looking to get a nose piercing her but after reading the owners responses on low star reviews I will never go here. So unprofessional to talk to people in that manner. They just say that everyone is wrong, stupid, or expected too much. Thats not how you should run a business. This is coming from someone who works for a salon.

Rob Downs by far best Artist I have ever had do work on me. This is now my thrid time back to see hime and I cannot wait till next time. The store is clean and was friendly and great atmospher.

Sadly seems very unprofessional. I called in the beginning of April I sent a photo of the tattoo and arm and I set up a consultation with Alex for may 21st and come to find out had I not kept calling he was going into surgery waited a whole month for this and they never even re scheduled me or even tried to reach out unless I called. Very disappointing.

Got a piercing here and felt extremely rushed which should never be the case for a piercing. The piercer was not very friendly and didnt explain anything to me (like his choice of jewelry--I did not really have a say).

The most bad place ever 😡 Rod is very very bad I make my tatto and I pay $450 and 1 week after my tatto lose color and paint and Im really not recommended this place rod only garbage tatto .If you want to make a great tatto I recommended big head tattoos this perdon is so amazing and i pay 1/3 of the price for he fix my tatto end looks like new and I yes can make a great job
