I have had tattoos done by both Drew and John. Couldn’t recommend a tattoo shop any more. All the artists at Studio38 have a level of professionalism, creativity and finesse that is unmatched. These guys will forever have my business and respect. Thank you guys!!

Got my dogs paw print tattooed. Davis did great, he knew how much it meant to me that my tattoo looked as realistic as possible. He took his time and made sure to include alot of details.Drew is very professional and kind. I wanted Daisies and roses after my daughter and he did a amazing job! This place is great and has a great atmosphere, I highly recommend to anyone.

Drew is awesome! I got a tattoo of Daisys and a rose after my daughter and he did a great job. It looks realistic, the shading is great. He took his time and made sure it was how I wanted and that I was happy. Highly recommend!!

Had the best experience working with Dan on a tribute to my dog who had just passed. He did an amazing job capturing the essence and personality of my dog in the tattoo. He also gave really great recommendations on sizing and font which I greatly appreciated. I definitely found my new go-to shop in Colorado. Won’t be using anyone else - highly recommend!

I’ve been in twice in the past year. Davis is the NICEST human alive! He does good work, he works quickly, and he doesn’t judge when I hate the sound and need to put headphones in and ignore him. I went to Studio 38 for some new work, as well as some cleaning up of some existing work I already had. I met John, set up an appointment with him, & it was rad! He found & designed some great additions to go along with what I already had, & tied it all together very nicely! Im going back in a few weeks for some more. I went to studio 38 for my first tattoo. I’m generally very indecisive but also very picky which is why I’ve held off on getting a tattoo for so long. I couldn’t be happier that I finally did it! I worked with Dan Huber, and he showed a serious talent for understanding the vision for a tattoo and then putting that into an awesome original design. Dan did a great job of making me feel comfortable with the process, while also making sure I don’t make rookie mistakes that I’d regret down the road.I’d highly recommend Dan to anyone looking to get a new tattoo!

Davis and John are amazing!! If anyone was on the fence about this place, I would highly recommend it. Dan has done almost of all my work. He is the only one I go to. He is a brilliant artist and will make sure he takes the time to get what you want right. Studio 38 is comfortable, clean and the staff are professional. It is in a great part of town just above a pizza place. Get a tattoo and grab a pie on the way out! It really doesn’t get any better than that.

John is an amazing artist and brought my vision to life on my latest tattoo! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo in Colorado.

This was my first tattoo so my perspective is definitely from the viewpoint of a newbie.John was really great to work with. He heard what I wanted, offered his own advice which I greatly appreciated, and went on to offer other perspectives of his that resonated well with me. His first interpretation of what I wanted was spot on and I was prepared expecting to want to make changes. I didnt. When I saw what he drew up it was exactly what I wanted. The tattoo experience was great. He was quick and methodical and friendly to BS with.I will definitely be getting more ink with John at Studio 38.

Great little shop in downtown Castle Rock with a great view and lots of natural light. Artists are down to earth and honest with their opinions; they will tell you honest feedback of why an idea won’t work opposed to agreeing with you and getting into the tattoo only to have it turn out bad or not work out as other artists often do just to make sale and get you in their shop. Drew, John, and Dan are all professionals and have clean line work and solid portfolios. Good group of guys and would let anyone of them tattoo me!

Me and my son both got tattooed today by Drew. He was great. We both had good ideas of what we wanted with photos. We gave Drew freedom to use his artist skills to take the actual tattoos to another level. Awesome and very happy with the service and environment there today. Could not recommend any higher!!

I emailed them and they got back to me straight away. I love that they take Venmo deposits too. Lyssa was prompt and friendly with scheduling me. When I first got there, I was greeted by Dan and he was super friendly. I loved the way the studio looks, it looks nice and clean. It felt like an art studio, I liked how it wasn’t too much clutter on the walls like most shops do. Dan was with me promptly and triple checked with me to see what I wanted and made sure everything was correct. It made me feel reassured and felt like i was in good hands. Dan did an amazing job and charged me fairly. I love how personable he is and made me feel comfortable in the shop. Drew was also there and he was super friendly and talkative to me too. Overall I had a great time and it was my favorite tattoo shop I’ve been to. I’m coming back for all my future pieces I want done. I’m hoping to get a touch up on other not so great tattoos done in the past by other shops too. Thanks guys!

Dan was very welcoming and listened to exactly what I wanted. He explained the process and end results and made sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted before ever getting near the needle. Studio 38 is clean, and a very welcoming environment, well lit with natural light and solely focused on tattooing. I will definitely return for future work and recommend them to family & friends! Drew did (a few weeks ago) my FAVORITE tattoo...I wanted someone really good for this one since it is super special to me and got a recommendation from a friend to go to Drew. It turned out even better than I expected and now I will always recommend this spot. It’s clean, professional, and GOOD work! Dan was terrific! He did matching tattoos for me and my best friend. I was worried how it llooked next day. I texted picture and they responded immediately even though they were closed. Drew at studio 38 is an amazing and talented artiest. Knows how to make you feel at home and get you what you want and makes sure you are happy with it. All the guys in the shop equally as cool. I don’t want to take away from the others who are so good as well. Very professional and clean environment at all time. Great punctuational and very honest guys. No bs behind these doors. I highly recommend them they are all straight up people. Drew was myGuy and has an amazing set of skills and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The best tattoo shop I’ve been to by far. Drew did my tattoo and he was beyond professional. His artwork and dedication was tremendous. My tattoo took 2 sessions and a touch up. Drew used a sharpie to color the tattoo on my arm, it was the coolest way I’ve ever seen done. His lines are perfectly straight, and this tattoo is everything I imagined it to be. I got my first tattoo done here back in August 2020 and it was an overall amazing experience. I was honestly pretty scared and hesitant to get it but Dan at Studio 38 was so professional, not heavy handed, and made me feel at ease. I will admit I have been to a lot of tattoo artists over the years. Dan was absolutely amazing! Gentle handed and helped with sizing and placement of my 2 tattoos. The cleanliness and professionalism is spot on!! I would recommend this shop and its artists to anyone!!!

Drew was very helpful to me and my husband. My tattoo came out exactly as I hoped and I cant wait to do the next one. This one was very close to my heart. Drew was very understanding about it and helped me with some color decisions. Amazing guys!! Ill never go anywhere else!!

John Eckles was on time for an early morning appt and did a GREAT job on a left calf tatt. He finished earlier than expected and was a little cheaper than quoted. This is a clean, professional, top notch facility and I will absolutely go back…soon.Update: another calf tattoo but of a Marine Corps insignia this time from a former Marine, Dan Hubers. He artistically re-did part of the tattoo to look more unique. I’m pretty happy with the result.

When I arrived Dan was super friendly and took my ideas and created exactly what I was looking for. The studio is super clean and in a great location. He was thorough, fast and it didn’t even hurt. Im so happy with the whole experience! Dan was wonderful--easy to talk to, patient, helpful, and not pushy. He did everything exactly how I wanted it (and maybe even a little better than what I had in mind to start). Great atmosphere, great people, clean, roomy. I cant recommend it enough!

Studio 38 was perfect for anyone and everyone looking to express themselves through ink. The best ever crew and we felt super comfortable and had so much fun getting tattoos with these guys! Cant wait for the next, we have visited many tattoo parlors around Colorado and Chicago and this way by far the best time, with the best ink EVER!

We did not hate the staff, My wife and I thought they were very professional. We both received a small tattoo on our wedding finger. The tattoo did not hurt at all and we were told that we would probably have to touch it up within the first next six months or so. The tattoo literally disappeared within the first two weeks. My wife and I never received a tattoo before so we did not know what to expect on how much per hour etc..For two small tattoos they charged us $160 which probably only took Combined 30 minutes for both. This tattoo is a symbol for a 10 anniversary ( X) so it was very special from my wife now and now it’s almost gone as if we never got it. We are not from the area and when I called they said they would gladly redo it for no charge but I am not gonna fly almost 10 hours round-trip plus a hotel room to get a small tattoo redone.The Artist did explain to my wife and I that the finger rejuvenates faster than most of the body so the tattoo fading at some point in a few months is not uncommon. We had a full weekend planned that weekend for our 10 year anniversary which a tattoo was not part of that weekend until all our plans were canceled because of the wildfires in that area. So on the fly we decide to get a tattoo and we waited five hours in order to do so. Like I said this was something special for my wife and now it’s almost gone. So if this could help anyone please do your research before getting a tattoo know what to expect before you sit in the chair and ask how much it’s going to be etc. I thought $80 per person for something so small was a little crazy.

Not a great experience. The tattoo I got was great but faded quick so I needed a touch up. They took their sweet time to get back to me. Didn’t appreciate that. I let them know that the town wouldn’t be happy with the way they were doing business. So my touch up did not go super great. Hostle environment, Not an establishment that belongs in my home town.

I got my first tattoo here, I was so nervous but they made me feel so comfortable! The atmosphere here is so amazing and the artists are so patient and very good artists. They are also so sweet. Will be going again soon :)

I got a tattoo on the palm of my hand at this studio today and my sister got a finger tattoo! They exceeded my expectations! I’ve been to at least five different parlors, in multiple states, and this was by far my favorite experience. They were so friendly, inviting, and made me feel extremely comfortable. Several years ago I purchased from Drew, a charcoal drawing of Jamie Fox as his character in the movie Django (copies possibly available, ask Drew). The detail and accuracy of the piece reveals his passion for art in general, not only tattooing. I have other friends who make their living creating art and were extremely impressed when I showed them Drews work. I would highly recommend anyone to check out his other artwork!

Drew did a great job on my tattoo. And they run a very nice clean shop. Shop minimum though is 80 so much sure your getting a tattoo you think is worth the money.

I had scheduled an appointment with them for the 17th. They reached out to me on the 12th saying they are having shop renovations so we needed to push back the appointment, no big deal. Long story short, it’s now the 16th and I haven’t received a response on when we are going to reschedule. My friend and I wanted to get sentimental travel tattoos specifically here in Denver and now because they gave up last minute cancellation everywhere else is booked. I have called twice now, left a message and sent a follow up email. There has been no sign of them reaching out to us again. I am incredibly disappointed and this is incredibly unprofessional.

Had two tattoos done there by Ian (who is no longer there ) Drew fixed one and did an amazing job (in the works of getting the other one fixed) I am so happy it looks so much better and you can read the name’s. It means so much to me. See you soon AAA+++
