Had a great piercing experience with Dallas at Luminous. He was very helpful and patient in assisting me with choosing the placement of my jewelry. The piercing process was very fast and pain was minimal. I was extremely happy with this portion of the process!The cons from my experience were the lack of transparency on the cost of jewelry and the customer service assistance for check in and choosing my jewelry. The person who was helping me seemed very unfriendly, as if I was bothering her with my questions as I was browsing the jewelry selection. She made me feel silly for not knowing exactly what I wanted and asking her input. The jewelry also has no pricing listed as you look at options, and I couldn’t find any price indicators online before booking. It does make it hard to know what you’re getting into, and maybe a little uncomfortable to change your mind if the price is out of range for you.Based on my entire experience, it’s hard to know if I would go back to Luminous. Based solely on my piercing experience with Dallas, I would go back in a heartbeat. But considering the full experience, I was not happy based on the amount I paid and the service I received.

Cannot say enough good about this place and the incredible people in it! I’ve gotten 2 additional piercings with Abby at Luminous and am going for another on Thursday with Vicki! I get pretty anxious with piercing needles and they made me feel so so comfortable and we’re extremely thorough about after care. I’ve had NO PROBLEMS AND IM OBSESSED! 109283/10 would recommend 🫶🏼

Ali was WONDERFUL! she was patient, took the time to make sure my vertical labret was symmetrical, and went over key healing points numerous times to make sure i was comfortable. this was a date idea for me and my friend on our first date, and it was absolutely amazing! no awkwardness and plenty of checking-ins. please see them for all future piercings!!

My girl friends and I went for a group piercing at Luminous. Great shop and experience, feel really great about the professionalism and quality of getting a piercing here!Some opportunities/call outs to note as there were some details that we wish we were made aware of ahead of time but as long as you are prepared its worth it! Also they were super nice about explaining things to us multiple times and very patient.1) There is not a way to contact them via phone. We had some challenges booking for all of us at once. Not that big of a deal as they were super accommodating & efficient when we were there. Recommend to have a way to contact via phone.2) We all experienced sticker shock by the cost of the jewelry. The way pricing is displayed online is a bit confusing, it would be helpful if you could visually see the different jewelry options and prices on the website somehow. The jewelry is higher quality which is great and makes it worth it, but this would be good to know ahead of time. They also didnt have a huge variety but I think it was just a one off because there was a shipment that didnt come in. They were honest and helped us pick out great jewelry though but recommend to include jewelry pricing on site in a clearer way3) You have to pay for posts separately. And then go in 4-6 weeks later to get resized and pay for the new posts. We did not know this until after the piercing was complete. Consider rolling the cost of 2 posts into 1 as well as communicating the resizing commitment before piercing or putting it on the website.Overall, I would recommend but know you are paying for quality jewelry and service!

Went in to see Damien for a cover up. He was considerate, professional, and thorough. The shop itself was clean and seemed well organized. Will definitely go here again!

My appointment was canceled and rescheduled an hour and a half before my appointment time with no phone call or given reason. This was a gift for a friend who was moving and I had to completely cancel and find a different place!

Amazing experience! I saw Vicki for a piercing and I just can’t recommend this place enough. Staff is all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Vicki talked me through everything and answered all my questions confidently. The process was quick and easy. The entire place is very clean and overall a nice atmosphere. If you’re going to get a piercing in Cincinnati, I definitely encourage you to go here!

Dallas is the best sick nasty piercer this side of the Mississippi. I had a visceral need for the tightest jewelry you’ve seen since that one time you were cruising down I-75 blasting papa roach and you saw plugs the size of a toaster on that dude in a blue Honda Civic.The studio is beautiful, and clean enough to eat raw sushi off of the floor. Dallas explained everything clearly and hand picked jewelry fit for the finest of monster chugging, Cheeto eating bachelors like myself.The piercing went as smooth as I can’t believe it’s not butter. He laid me down, and his sweet hands expertly and accurately laid down the single greatest nostril piercing any mortal man has laid their eyes on.Since being pierced by Dallas, my life has improved immensely. Women respect me, men fear me, and every dog trusts me. (Most cats too, birds are still on the fence)My boss saw the piercing and gave me a promotion. My family started talking to me again and let me back in their lives. My baby mom even starting sending me 1am texts again.In short, I recommend getting all of your piercings done here. Dallas is exceptional, but every one of their artists is a finely tuned hole puncher made from the finest stock.

Can’t say enough good things about Luminous Fine Jewelry and Piercing in Hyde Park, too! They did my 9 year old’s ears 2 years ago and now my 7 year old’s and each experience was amazing. Professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a place to have your child’s ears pierced, or adults looking for their next piercing, I highly recommend!

Great piercing studio, lots of beautiful green plants, and super clean! Dallas was my piercer and was awesome-super friendly and knowledgeable. When I get pierced or decide to stretch my ears this is where I will be going.

The shop is always clean. The artists are friendly even if you are not there to see them. I have had two tattoos done by Carrie and she was amazing! Tony, another artist, is currently working on a half sleeve with me. He is a very go with the flow type guy and listens to what you want and works with your ideas. This to me is a great characteristic and he really cares about making sure the tattoo is exactly what I want. By far some of the best artists I have known and seen. I would strongly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone.

They have so many artists that do different styles, and the shop atmosphere is always fun. Compare their portfolios to everyone elses and then come here to get exactly what you want. Havent had any work done here. But I am from out of state, and when I had an infection in one of my nipple rings (I got them 3 years ago in VA), Logan, their piercer helped me out so much! He was super professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and probably saved my nipple piercing. I am beyond thankful. Plus, the shop was clean, and they carry really nice piercing jewelry. Next time Im looking to get pierced, Hybrid Image will be my first stop :)

Melissa did a tattoo for me, of the ouroboros. I have to say I not only love my new tat, but enjoyed the experience compared to that of my other 4 tattoos the most. Highly recommend Melissa, amazing person and tattoo artist!

Such a talented group of artists at Hybrid Image! I have only had work done by Carrie Crutcher but she did 90% of the art on my body, her color realism is beautiful. In the time I have spent at the shop I have seen work done by almost all of the artists and it is all high quality. If you are thinking of getting some work done, definitely add them to the list of shops to consult with and when you are done comparing, set up an appointment!

I had never been to this place before, but I had a pretty badly infected forward helix that I had gotten pierced at another place and needed it taken out. I walked in with no notice, and was kindly greeted and assured that they could help. The nicest man, Richie, promptly took me in the back and removed the two pieces of jewelry, one of which was half swallowed up in my ear, with ease. I had been in a lot of pain prior to taking them out and felt so comforted knowing I was in good hands. It was a very nice, sanitary, and welcoming place and it was clear the people knew what they were doing.

Best APP piercing shop in Cincy. Vicki is the best. I wont go anywhere else for my piercings or jewelry.

I got my first tattoo done here by David. It was a Shell Silverstein illustration with very intricate line work, and he did an awesome job. My tattoo was exactly what I wanted, and it still looks good 2 years later. and I would definitely come back for another tattoo, or recommend this shop to anyone.

My friend and I went there about a month and a half ago to get my first tattoo. I walked out with exactly what I wanted. The artist was completely professional and made me feel at ease. Had a wonderful time and will definitely be back to get more!

Got a set of cartilage piercings back in winter of 2016 (not my first) the guy piercing me decided the bar was too long (so??) so he took it out and put in a shorter one. As a result. EVER SINCE this piercing has had issues. Im no expert but putting a bar in a brand new piercing, then taking it out ti replace it when you dint actually need to, can cause issues and it did. Very disappointed as i had high hopes for this shop. Sloppy job. Its an issues if the bar is too short, too long is really just an aesthetic thing which i didnt request and for the sake of proper healing would have been fine with whatever. Wish he actually asked me my preference before swapping out the bar in a newly pierced and swelling piecing. It still had issues to this day. This about this situation every time it has an occasional flare up ( none of the other 12+ ear piercings i have, have issues. )

I walked in to the shop wanting to figure out how to do a bull skull (because Im a Taurus) and some flowers or foliage, dogwood inspired. Joey Borger took those ideas and turned out a masterpiece. He is professional, super courteous, and an excellent artist. His line work, shading, and overall attention to detail was pretty stunning. Working with him was probably the best expierence in terms of the process all the way through. And he was very easy to talk to and sit for. All in all I am recommending him to every and anyone who will listen. Also the whole shop staff and environment is relaxed but not disorganized. Cant say enough good things about Joey and Hybrid Image!

I went into Hybrid after trying to get my first tattoo at Beelistic on Short Vine. I walked in and (I believe it was Damian) did my tattoo. It looks so good and he did exactly what I wanted, whereas Beelistic was going to overcharge me and make it too big. Super clean, very friendly staff, would recommend to anyone!

I took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced by Vicki. She was excellent. My daughter was excited but is sensitive to pain. Vicki talked her through the entire experience, at her level. She made my daughter feel comfortable and in control and it went better than anticipated.

DO NOT GO TO THIS TATTOO SHOP! They will waste your money/time and not do anything that they say they will. I will start at the beginning. I scheduled a consult with Carrie about a month and a half ago. I told her that i live about 3 hours away but i am willing to drive that if i think the tattoo artist is worth it. When I showed up at the time she told me she was still with someone else so only had about 5 minutes to talk me. She took my deposit and scheduled me (about a month later) a time to get the tattoo on Easter. She said if I was willing to do it then that she was free. She said about 1-2 weeks before the the tattoo she will start sending me drafts to look over. That never happened at all. She never once even contacted me again with any drawings. Finally 4 days before my appointment I texted her to make sure everything was still going forward since she never sent me anything. She texted back saying that she will be there and ready to start the tattoo on our scheduled date. Taking her at her word I drove the 3 hours and got a hotel since I was expecting to get tattooed the following day. After I checked in the hotel I get a text less than 24 hours from the appointment from Carrie saying she cant do the tattoo and she has to cancel our appointment because her mother wants her to be there for Easter! What bullshit! I guess it didnt matter to her that I already canceled my Easter with my family, drove the 3 hours, got a hotel, and now am just turning around to drive back home. Not to mention all the time I wasted waiting on her when all she did was blow me off. I texted her back letting her know that rescheduling doesnt fix all the inconvenience and money I have already invested and asked her how she was going to fix this situation? She still has not responded at all!!! I guess she is just going to keep the deposit too... IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY GOOD MONEY FOR A TATTOO AND YOU WANT THE SHOP TO BE PROFFESIONAL AND DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU THEY WILL DO THEN DO NOT GO TO HYBRID IMAGE. I AM HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED IN HYBRID IMAGE AND THE OWNER CARRIE CRUTCHER AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HYBRID IMAGE TO ANYONE!

I was in on the 19th to talk about scalpeling my gauges with Richie. He got me in right there and then, which was super nice because I drove an hour to get there, and the procedure was quick and easy. Being a medical professional, it was so nice to see both him and his assistant take their job seriously and have a sterile environment. My ear is healing wonderfully and I cannot be happier! ♡- Summer

Horrible . I’ve had my tongue pierced for three days and i’ve have it done twice before . Today i woke up with blood in mymouth and surrounding the piercing . it hurts so bad and is so infected and i’ve done nothing to it for it to be infected . i can not even get the piercing out of my mouth because my tongue is still so swollen . The man didn’t use clamps or anything just his hand to pierce
