Charlie did my tongue piercing, and did an absolutely amazing job. It was at a wonderful price. Was very kind, talked me through the whole process. Everything was very clean and sterile! Healed completely in about 3 weeks for me. Would 100% recommend anyone to get a piercing here!

My sisters and I stopped in for piercings and Izzy was professional and provided awesome customer service.My belly button piercing was quick, and painless and it looks great.My sister’s piercing are more explicit, Izzy was very professional.I’ll be back for my nose piercing.

Walk in tattoo. I paid almost $300 for a 10-20 minute RUSHED tat that did not come out that good.. 2 years later it constantly rises and becomes itchy at times, it’s the only tattoo that does. What I asked for was a fine line tattoo I will show the photos what I asked for vs what I got. The face outline looks funny, flowers, and fingers. I should’ve spoke up about it but I didn’t and being me I even left a tip. 2 years later scratching my arm tattoo and some character development finally has me standing up for myself.

Went there this weekend to get a nose piercing. Had a great experience the lady at the front counter and piercer made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Definitely will be back

Great artists. Friendly, great at what they do. I had Dallas do mine, great personality and even better tattooer. My fiance had Charlie. He is normally booked, but he took his sweet time perfecting a beautiful tattoo for her. They stayed well past close to make sure our tattoos were better than what we wanted.

Highly recommended! Service was amazing, prices were reasonable, and everybody was down to earth from the receptionist to the tattoo artist(unlike other shops on the street). Quick and quality service. I stopped in from OT but I definitely plan on making the 5 hour drive back just to come here !!

This place was amazing! Im from north of Detroit and was in the area for the night. The shop is clean, friendly, accommodating and my tattoo was done by Brian. The lettering looks like a sticker its done so perfectly and the watercolor in the bacground is beautiful. He took his time and made sure HE thought it was perfect before completing it! 5 ☆!!!

Today was the second time I have taken my daughter for a piercing and it wont be the last. Professional, clean, informative and engaging easily describe the piercer at Hot Rod Charlies whos name I wish I could remember because he deserves direct credit. I also had the pleasure of talking to Charlie so of course now I want another tattoo. Time for me to start saving.

My nose was pierced really crooked. Had to have it repierced. I do not recomend coming here for a piercing.

Hours say open on Sun 12 to 6 this is the second week in a row we have came. My friend called last night they said they would be there 12 to 10p today. AGAIN they were closed. How are we suppose to get pierced being given the wrong info!!!!

So happy with my experience at Hot Rod Charlies. We tried going to Beelistic for a walk-in but were treated very poorly so we left and walked over to Charlies. Charlie moved around his schedule and took us right in! Charlie did a great job on my husbands tattoo and Logan did mine (picture attached.) I was getting just some hand written lyrics tattooed on my arm and he made sure to alter the handwriting enough to make it legible but not destroy the original penmanship. This was also the cheapest rake per hour shop Ive been to around Cincinnati, but you still get a clean and inviting environment. They arent a talkative shop, but theyre respectful of what you want and do a really good job. The store had a great aesthetic too. Will definitely come to Hot Rod Charlies for future tattoos.

When I got my navel piercing at Hot Rod Charlie’s everything was great until I took it out recently and had a good look at it. The actual piercing is completely above my belly button, nowhere near it! It’s unbelievable, I had described my fear of the piercing being above my belly button instead of through before the actual piercing and everyone in the shop assured me that that would never happen, well obviously that isn’t true. I’m really upset about this and will be getting it fixed as soon as I can!

I have been to a few other tattoo shops for various tattoos and this was my first time here. The men here were so helpful and friendly unlike the guys at Beelistics. They were happy to help with designs and ideas and were more than accommodating to our needs. I will absolutely be coming here for every tattoo I need in the future!

My friend and I stopped in today for a spur of the moment nose piercing and IZZY was absolutely amazing! Fun and encouraging while still being informative and professional. You will 10/10 wanna be best friends with Izzy!!! I love this place and we had a great time getting holes poked in our bodies! DONT FORGET TO TIP! LOVE YOU, IZZY!

I’ve had 3 tattoos done here many years ago by LA, they’ve held up very nicely over the years even though I had to have one touched up shortly after having it done. Well established shop and very patient with my many requests. I stopped in once recently and the same guys are there 10 years later. They’re doing something right!

Gotten about 7 piercings from here by now and everytime it is a quick and easy experience. I have called back about concerns about the healing process and they quickly answered and encouraged me to call back if they persist. Cheap prices for the piercings unlike other shops nearby. Definitely recommend you head in.

I took my 15 year old daughter here for her birthday tattoo and they were so nice and very down to earth and did a fantastic job! I would highly recommend them and I will be going back for them to do some ink for me for sure!

I’ve gone here since I was in college for all my tattoo and piercing needs. The staff is always incredibly nice and does good work. The prices are very fair and they don’t hassle you about a tip which makes me want to leave and even bigger tip. Other shops around simply cannot compare. Looking forward to getting tattoo number 8 soon

After trying several times to get a tat done, we was able to make an appointment with Hot Rods, no particular artist, just an appointment for who ever was available at 12:30. As we are walking out the door to arrive for our appointment we get a text saying that they cant make it. That they need to reschedule. So glad that Beeliatic tattoo was open next door, as advertised and takes walk ins without a long line! No thanks to Charlies but we finally got my wifes Bday tat!

Was recommended by some friends to come here. Got my tattoo done by Dallas. What a chill dude who makes great conversation. I would definitely would recommend him if you’re looking to get a tattoo there.!

Not knowing I was a trans man, one of the artists went on a pretty ignorant tirade that I won’t go to in detail about. The tattoo experience was pretty uncomfortable after that especially as he was unknowingly calling me predatory and threatening without even realizing while as spreading violently dangerous misinformation under the impression I wasn’t trans.Needless to say, I didn’t come back for a touch up. However the front desk dude overheard what was being said and shut it down immediately. The front desk guy also had no clue that I was trans or that there was even a trans person in the room with him and he still stood up displays good character.Let this be a lesson to be respectful even if you think no one’s watching, and that good people truly do still exist.

Good tattoos, but got taken advantage of awhile ago! Gave me a price and then after up the price after it was done because “ didn’t think it would turn out that good” saw he could take advantage of me and well he did

I just went in for a tattoo last night, after I took my teenager to get her ears pierced there. I’m so impressed with the cleanliness, the knowledge, the experience of the guy who pierced my daughter’s ears. He made her feel so welcomed and comfortable!As for my tattoo experience, I can’t say enough about Brian’s talent and professionalism. I needed a pretty tedious piece done, and he made great conversation while executing flawless art on my arm!! A tattoo is more than just ink on an arm—it’s an experience, a chance for change and growth, and it’s ART. Brian really respected and honored the whole process, and the guy has 14 years of experience. I’ve only had this piece for not even 24 hours and I’ve already received a handful of compliments from complete strangers. It’s absolutely everything I wanted.Thank you, Charlie and Brian!! I walked in and booked an appointment 2 weeks out with Charlie himself. He did a gorgeous colorful peony flower tattoo. Charlie took his time and the peony looks so realistic! He only charges $100 an hour for 30+ years of experience. He is one of the best artists in the greater Cincinnati area. I will definitely be recommending him and will be a returning customer for life.

Went in to Hot Rod Charlie’s as a walk-in and inquired about a tattoo. Was helped right away by Jimmy, who is an excellent artist and a cool dude. He helped me customize an idea I had and got it on me that same day. Great atmosphere in the shop, everyone was friendly and professional Charlie himself was there and was also very cool, talked to him a bit about his ‘31 Ford and a ‘67 Mustang he was working on. Jimmy got my large chest piece done in about 3 hours and was very fair with his pricing. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be back for more ink in the near-future.

A+++! Didn’t get the guys name that did my nose piercing. But it was the best process I’ve ever experienced. I received my last piercing in 2019 & was super nervous. He talked me through the steps and explained everything he was doing. Very painless compared to my prior piercings in my hometown.

I went in on a whim on a Friday to get my seconds repierced. They got me in super quick and the guy who did my piercing was really efficient and took the necessary sanitary precautions. It barely hurt. I’ve had a lot of issues with piercings in the past and it’s been a few weeks and it’s healing beautifully!

I had Jimmy as my artist. I got my first tattoo and he was amazing. The environment of the place in general was very inviting and very relaxing. Everyone was super welcoming and wanted to accommodate to me, my mom and my sisters needs. My next tattoo, I am coming here no hesitation! I highly recommend!

I’m absolutely in love with the tattoo I got here last night. Nick was my artist and he went above and beyond to give me a piece that is stunning. The line work and shading is absolutely beautiful and he was such a pleasant person to be tattooed by- will be coming back!

So Ive gotten tattoos here plenty of times and it has always been a positive experience.However, the piercing here should be shut down. The cashier was handling the jewelry with her bare hands before she gave it to the piercer, who also was not wearing gloves and did not sanitize the jewelry he was putting in my face. I would recommend going to a different place for piercing care.

Went to a couple tattoo shops over the summer that required an appointment about a month in advance. This place got me in within 4 days of me scheduling, and the tattoo was very nice work. The staff is nice, Zade the artist did great work, and has some AMAZING designs. I would go here again for a tattoo.

Charlie fit me in with no appointment & did a small tattoos & it looks amazing still 2 yrs later colors still vibrant & also got snake bite piercing. The staff is amazing they go above & beyond 2 make sure ur happy with there work & they will even touch it up after healing. I definitely would highly recommend Hot Rod Charlies for ur tattoos & piercings..

Myself and two of my friends showed up to Hot Rod Charlies a hour and a half before they closed and we all three wanted small tattoos. They were all so kind and professional and didnt rush us at all despite the time. Highly recommend this place! Zade tattooed me and he does great work!

I had a tattoo done and now am in the hosp on iv antibiotics..it was infected immediately and only the color part is infected...anyway I let them know and they didnt seem to care or care about the fact I just paid 300+ for this...

My wife had an appointment a week or two ago. When she arrived, she found that her appointment had been forgotten about. No big deal, she would have preferred to have the artist she had before, but another artist offered to help and she accepted. She showed the artist the tattoo already on her arm, a seven pointed star with a keyhole in the center, and told him she wanted an exact replica, right next to it. Later that night while applying lotion, she noticed the STAR HAS EIGHT POINTS. NOT SEVEN. I called Hot Rod Charlies to inform them of the error, and to see if anything could be done about the situation; the phone was answered by the artist who did the work. I explained the situation, and he responded thats what she asked for. The mistake itself is bad enough, because one, its not what she paid for, and two, its permanent. The whole nope attitude we got from the artist, plus the fact that we cant get the owner to come to the phone (busy with a tattoo) or call us back shines a horrible light on this place, especially considering this was the only place we would go for tattoos/piercings before. Never again.

My friend and i both got our nipples pierced here and it was a great experience. The shop was very clean and the staff was friendly. Our piercer was named Charlie. At first i was nervous about having a man pierce me in such a private area, but he kept it very professional and made my friend and i feel very comfortable. Hot Rod Charlies offers the best prices on campus and provides excellent service.

I had my tongue pierced here almost three weeks ago and its going great! They really made me feel at home and gave me time to ask questions and take my time getting it done. Wonderful people, Id give more stars If I could!EDIT: I went in to get my thirds done. Not only were the earrings put on way way to tight and not what I asked for, they were pierced slanted. Now, this wasnt by Charlie but by a piercer (he had long hair) I hadnt seen before. Im sorry but I wont be back to that specific piercer.

Love love love coming here!!!! Went in for a tattoo 3 years ago and an old artist forgot places to color, when i showed it to Marty he went over it making it look so much better!! Went in yesterday for a tattoo from him that we set up almost a month ago, they told me he dont work on Sundays. So i wrote him asking whats going on. He apologized and showed up to the store to do our tattoos!!! I recommend going to going to see him to the fullest; i promise you wont be disappointed!!!

Vibe of the place is great and the staff is great. Walked in on a busy night but still managed to get our tattoos. Friendly and created a great experience. Dallas was great and I love my tattoo.

My husband and I decided to get spur of the moment tattoos. This place is where we happened to go (due to them being open late) and we are not disappointed. I needed a cover up and my husband got a calf piece. My tattoo was covered better than any other cover up I’ve ever seen. I can’t remember the artists name, but if you see a tall kid with voluptuous, wavy brown hair, you won’t go wrong requesting him. Hot Rod Charlie himself tattooed my husband and the lines are clean and crisp. Very satisfied with the experience.

Made an appointment a day in advance but didnt think it was necessary, probably couldve walked in. The guys were super cool and wanted to make sure you got exactly what you wanted. for my first tattoo they were very welcoming and calmed any nerves you would have. the tattoo was very clean and precise. Would highly recommend!!!!

I got my belly button pierced here a few weeks ago and the piercer did an amazing job . He was very quick I didn’t even feel it . And he did a great job of hiding the scar from where it was pulled out in the past , thank you again ! :)

Did 3 piercings today and the owners son was absolutely amazing! He was very quick but focused, and barely felt any of them! My friend and I are very very happy with our new piercings !! Highly recommend!

My husbands tattoo became infected due to the artist not cleaning the machine properly. The tattoo will have to be redone when the skin heals enough.

As a minor from out of state I was looking to get a meaningful tattoo. I was looking for a shop and called many different ones getting rejected because I was a minor. Hot rod Charlie’s took me in and I was very nervous but Rick, my artist, made me feel very comfortable and confident every time he saw that I was getting nervous. The atmosphere is very friendly and happy, especially with Rick. Anybody looking to get wording done should definitely have Rick do it.

Cool place. Charlie and his son run the place with a couple other artists. Opened late compared other parlors hence why this one is worth it. Very fun, chill, and cool people. Friend’s Tattoo came out perfect! Very amiable and helpful people willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are happy.

The only place I trust to get tattoos. I would gladly trust any artist there, but special shout-out to Charlie who has done all my tattoos. Highly recommend to first timers or inked up pros.

In Queen City for the weekend decided to get tats on a whim. Happened upon this place by chance and,wow what a find. Dallas took amazing care to detail with the art and the time it took to finish it all astounded me. Everyone working there was down to earth and overall friendly. Had to go up here cuz theyre not doing face piercings in Kentucky!! Got my septum pierced the piercer dude (srry dont remember his name :(( ) made me very comfortable and calm and was very quick! Just a quick pinch and a little bit watery eyes but it was great !! So happy to have it done ! For only $43 ! So great and the place was nice and sterile!

Really cool place just got 2 piercings done and my daughter got one. Friendly staff good at what they do and they move fast so our piercings took no time.

I got my helix pierced here on a walk in and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The staff is much friendlier than I have experienced at other tattoo and piercing shops. Ill definitely be getting more piercings here in the future.

While I appreciate them being able to squeeze my husband in last minute, I do not appreciate being charged $100 for a tattoo that is two words, approximately 1 inch by 4 inches and is only an outline. Im a hair stylist so I completely understand paying for someones time and work but to pay that price for a small tattoo that took less then 45 mins to complete is ridiculous to me. We will absolutely, 100% not be going back to a place that obviously rips people off.

Came for the Friday the 13th flash tattoos, was very excited and ended up waiting 4 hours which was longer then expected but I stilled waited cause I was really excited. I asked if they could add blue to the sparkles and the guy at the front desk said no but then the artist said yes which made me happy cause I was willing to pay more just to add color. The guy who did my tattoo was alittle older and was bald, I didn’t catch his name. He was very nice and picked out a very pretty blue for the sparkles. He took a minute to put the stencil on cause he was messaging someone on his phone, which was alittle annoying but whatever I was just ready to get tattooed. He did the tattoo the whole time his hands were shaking. So some of the lines have uneven lining and are alittle bumpy. I think that it doesn’t even look like a hand cause a thumb doesn’t stick out of the side of your hand like that and it doesn’t go straight out. I didn’t say anything when I saw it cause I knew there was no fixing it, so I left disappointed. Now I have to get a cover up and pay even more money. I will not be coming back to this shop

Went in with no appointment and they were able to get my friend and I in for two quick simple tattoos. I had Dallas and my friend had Zaid. They were really friendly and finished the tattoos quick. Would come back again!! Thank you Dallas and Zaid!!!

We had a group there last night for my friends birthday and they were absolutely amazing! We originally went to another shop first and it did not go good. Logan and Rick were so nice! Me and all of my friends will be back!!

Im giving a 1 star rating based only on customer service . I scheduled a 4 p.m appt on a Friday for that following Saturday .When arrived and told them I was there for my tattoo they looked very confused and basically didnt think i even called , then attempted to ask me to wait 1 hour and a half past my appt time. needless to say that didnt happen and i walked a half a block down the street and got tattooed immediately by beelistic tattoo and pericing . Emily did mine and she is awesome! I recommend that place!

Im very satisfied with my ink, I went in to see Charlie and get a cover up piece which was also a memorial tattoo for my dad, and I must say, wow! I couldnt have imagines it to turn out any better. He really took his time working with me to figure out just what I wanted and what would work for the cover up, and the end result was absolutely incredible. Charlie is a very kind and patient artist, he is very skilled and takes his time to make sure everything is right. definitely a perfectionist! I will be back for more work and will be sending friends his way. thanks you all so much!!

Went to inquire about a tattoo. They sent me outside to the curb to a man who was sitting on the ground smoking. He never got up but handed me a card. Said my phone is dead. Ill call you to get your info and set up a time I never heard back. I called the # on the card and left a message. No return call.. I went elsewhere and am very glad I did. Dont waste your time with this place. Ill be nice and not mention the guys name on this card I was given.

Marty (LA) has done two of my tattoos and he is an amazing artist. He just recently did a tattoo that is extremely meaningful to my family and I and he showed how much he cared about us and the reason for the tattoo. He put time and effort into the tattoo and you could tell by his work. I highly recommend getting tatted by Marty!!

Had my dermal done by Nick.G.... He is very clean, professional, and did an amazing job.... even after the fact I kinda cussed pretty loud... but made sure he knew it wasnt directed at him.. He laughed and said I heard worse things..lmao. I would recommend Nick to anyone who wants a piercing!!!! I absolutely love it!🖤🖤🖤🖤

I went in to get a plastic stud for my lip so I could get my mri and everyone was very nice. I dont remember the piercing guys name but he talked to me about my piercing and was very gentle when he switched my hoop out. Id come back for that service again.

Went in for a belly button piercing and I came home to clean it and it was not where I was expecting it to be. I wasn’t mad I understand things happen. I called and they had me come back in a few days later and they fixed it right away! It seems they do everything they can to keep customers happy and to keep coming back

The staff were very professional courteous and helpful. The piercer is awesome. I got a tounge piercing and a dermal done he was very quick, I was in and out. Paying for what i got took lomger than actually getting them done

Awesome staff and great artists. Recommend coming here. Other places like danas tattoo shop are so expensive and dont do any better work than charlie and his artists and are easy on the wallet for fantastic work. Anyone who says different like tasha here, are full of crap. Their prices do not change. Only $100 an hour and they are friendly as can be with awesome work. So dont listen to ppl like tasha who claims all of this BS when Ive been there various times and havent seen or heard one racist comment... will never go to a different tattoo shop again because their work speaks for itself in the cover-up Charlie did for me is amazing

I have trusted this shop with 3 of my tattoos , and I will never go anywhere else . LA is an amazing artist , but they dont have a single person in the shop who is not incredibly talented . They take good care of you , and the shop is very clean .

Walked in at 6:30pm on Saturday and got a small tattoo on my ankle within 20 minutes. Super clean and professional, I am very happy with it!

DO NOT GET A TATTOO HERE! My sister recently passed and my sister and I went in to get tattoos of airplanes in her remembrance. The first tattoo is how my sisters turned out versus the way that mine turned out due to having different artists. Jimmy did mine and even after giving him my story he rushed through it without any care for the way it looked on my arm. When I went back in to complain and get it fixed, they rescheduled me with Dallas but when I went in for my appointment he wasnt even there. Extremely unprofessional people along with a very unfriendly front desk lady. They didnt care about how disappointed I was with my tattoo and refused to refund me even though my artist didnt show for my second appointment. Overall terrible place and would not recommend to anyone, but if you are going to I would greatly avoid having Jimmy as your artist.

From the receptionist to the guy who pierced my nostril, A1 service. Very professional. I felt so comfortable. He explained what he was doing. I felt no pain. It was so fast. This place is my #1.

The location on Short Vine in Clifton is and always has been amazing! However, the location in Covington is lacking when it comes to living up to the name. I was messaged that 4 pm was available, I responded I would be there and.... Doors locked, closed sign on door, no one answered phone and no one responded to messages. Totally ghosted. Not cool.

Was told to come in and id get a deal. 25$ for a nose peircing, which in retrospect was a great deal. My friend and I got there, and instantly was handed papers to sign. My questions were disregarded and I expressed concerns of it getting infected and asked how to properly clean it. I was told “you’d be fine” and that was all. A week later and every single night my peircing has popped halfway out every single night and has been unable to heal properly because of it. I had to go to Beelistics in clifton where they put a new piece in. I was told the piece this place used was extremely cheap and the best part is that my peircing wasn’t even straight through my nose cartilage- it was jagged and uneven. Never go here even with a great deal.

I was literally stopping behind their store to eat a lunchables and some tatted boomer in glasses harrassed me until I left. Literally I had not been there 5 minutes and bothered no one. I had a bit of a walk ahead of me. He didnt have a mask on an was clearly trying to intimidate me. Very punk rock dude.

Last minute walk in before closing and Dallas squeezed me in. He did an amazing job, it’s exactly what I wanted and looks great!! Would highly recommend :)

I had got a smiley piercing and they pierced it sideways and when I told them it was wrong they told me it would go back into place I had to take it out because it was leaving marks on my gums and it was very painful and uncomfortable highly upset I spent damn near $50 for one piercing just to take it out after a few days highly disappointed . They did have really good customer service and where really sweet so I’m upset about my piercing but it’s whatever

Very cool atmosphere clean set up great people and I got clear retainers for my surgery they got me together I have 12 my ears gristle included the two side piercings on the side of the face right in front of the ears and for my breast they are nice price 10 apiece or if you get more they will be nice to give you some type of deal but you have to get enough of them to get a deal of course and or catch them on there good 😌 days

I went to the place and no one asked me what I wanted then a man came out of nowhere started saying he would but it would have to look like he said. He took forever then once he started got into a argument with his coworkers and stopped tattoo Then changed me a high price for a for tattoo. Never going back

Went in and got a tattoo on my back. When I went in, I didnt have the exact image in mind but they were able to help me quickly decide. They were fast and the tattoo looks perfect.

Thee worst experience EVER. Theyre racist..... No price listed in store.... And quotes over the phone are different when you arrive at store..... They only difference was my skin color must not have matched my phone voice. Got to store and quoted ten dollars higher. Its the principle not the money that left me disgusted.

So I actually went in there to get a tattoo touched up and my tattoo artist did exactly the opposite of what I wanted when I was very clear. He was not focused the whole time and it’s the worst tattoo I’ve ever gotten!

I don’t recommend coming here for piercings- they use poor quality jewelry and your piercings just won’t heal right no matter how much you care for them.
