I came in as a walk in with a vision and had a budget. I was matched with Kenzie as my artist. She was super attentive, kept making sure I was okay, and was super sweet. She went above and beyond and made sure my tattoo was everything I wanted and more. Highly recommend and will come back for more!! Every tattoo you get here comes with an after care kit and they’re super informative about aftercare!!

Belle was absolutely amazing, super sweet, and SUPER patient! I’m very picky about my piercings, but she took the time to listen to my concerns and made me feel very reassured with everything! She looked at pictures I had for inspiration and let me take a peak at the placement before proceeding. She talked me through each step and never did anything without me knowing, making the whole process so comforting. It didn’t hurt a single bit, and I’ll definitely be back to see her

This was my first time in Dark Raine and the first thing I noticed was how clean the shop was and how personable everyone was from the time I walked in the door to the time I left. If I could give the a 10/10 rating on here I would.Charlie did my tattoo tonight and she did an awesome job. Im super happy with how it turned out and cant wait until heal. My daughter had the pleasure of being tattooed by Charlie and this was my daughters first official tattoo since turning 18! Charlie made my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed during the whole process. She also allowed my husband and my other daughter to watch while she was tattooing my oldest daughter. The other artists were also out of this world awesome as well! The whole vibe in the studio makes me want to come back again and again to get more ink. Definitely my new favorite tattoo spot! ❤️🌌

I decided to try this place based on the reviews and I am incredibly happy that I did. I knew what I wanted but overwhelmed myself with pics and couldnt really decide on a style. Matt was amazingly kind and patient and drew up a design that I immediately fell in love with. I honestly couldnt be happier with this beautiful piece of art. Also, the people and overall vibe there are top notch. Ive already recommended Dark Raine and Matt to several friends and will continue to do so.

Bella was who I came to see for my septum piercing! I was referred by her sister and she did amazing. She prepared me for everything that could and would happen before I got it done and it was done in about 5 seconds. She was super sweet! I’d recommend her to anyone wanting it done.

Belle did an amazing job on my eyebrow! It was painless and she was so cool! She had pierced my nose and ears before and did a phenomenal job! Today she did my eyebrow and fixed two old piercing that I did by myself and she was SO AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back to dark Raine! I walked right in to get my navel (belly button) pierced by belle; the paperwork was fast and simple, Belle was very thorough and helpful throughout the process and with answering any questions I had. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming I felt at home as soon as I walked in and never felt like they were strangers. The entire establishment is beautifully decorated and clean. 10/10

I absolutely loved it here. It was my first time getting a tattoo and the atmosphere was lovely. My tattoo artist was Matt Jewell and he did a phenomenal job on my tattoo. Ive only had it a short while and Ive gotten tons of compliments on it. Its a leaf sheep glitter tattoo (a type of sea slug) and Matt came up with the design himself. I 100000% recommend getting a tattoo here and if you want something thats cartoonish go with Matt. His handle on insta is GETTIN_INKY. Feel free to check out his stuff yourself. I took my daughter in to get her ears pierced for the first time.. Belle was absolutely amazing. She was very patient. My daughter didn’t want to get her second one done so we ended up leaving, a few hours later my daughter wanted to try again and Belle was very sweet and patient again with her. Will definitely be coming back for future piercings

I’ve came to Dark Raine for two tattoos and two sets of piercings. Belle was my piercer for both sets and was so quick and accurate I will definitely be going back to her for more! Her recommendations for jewelry and aftercare are more detailed than any other shop I have been to. She also has so many cute upgraded jewelry options. I had a tattoo done by Jesse at the Tattoo Expo. He was quick and it healed very nicely, exactly what I wanted down to the white details in the shading! Matt did an American Traditional tattoo for me that turned out AMAZING! The colors are saturated and the lines are so clean. The tattoo is exactly what I wanted. The overall energy of the studio is just happy and very enjoyable to be in and around the awesome people who work there. THANK YOU!!

Bellex was awesome and did an eyebrow re-piercing that had rejected previously for my son, she provided us education on how and why it happened, as well as piercing some sick snakebites! Super gentle, very thorough, loved my experience! This would be my child’s third piercing on the face, highly recommend!!

I first went to Stranger (at the studio) to shade a tattoo i had gotten from another artist from another studio. His work is AMAZING and he is a great person all around. I will be going back to him for more work and I will recommend him to anyone looking to get ink

Had work done by Stranger and I can confidently say this is my favorite piece to date. Pictured below are pictures of the tattoo freshly done. The session flew by as stranger kept the conversation going while still producing stellar work. Same can be said of the rest of the staff as everyone was super friendly and cool! I am hoping to get more work from stranger in the future and will be recommending dark raine to anyone that is looking for work done in Clarksville!

I love coming to this shop. The staff is always super friendly. I love all the vendors that have their inventory displayed. I absolutely enjoyed my tattoo session today with Stranger. Shop is extremely clean and well kept. The artists and the front desk staff are very friendly and customer service focused. Charlie the owner and an artist took the time to listen to my vision and put my poorly described idea into an amazing piece of art which was better than I could have hoped for. She was fantastic and very attentive to my thoughts and what I wanted in the piece. She made changes on the fly to the art as new ideas and small tweaks were requested. Let’s start by saying this review is on Stranger, and not the shop he works for.Stranger is phenomenal. I have multiple tattoos and he was by far the best artist I’ve worked with. I got a floral sleeve done- his line work is impeccable!His communication is great, he worked with me so well listening, giving honest feedback and arranging my piece to suit my vision! I had so many different ideas but not sure how to go about it as a whole piece and his creativity and eye came up with the perfect piece- and I love it! He’s extremely talented and best of all super chill and down to earth. I sat with him for 8 hours and enjoyed every bit of it. I’m already talking with him about my next session! Highly highly recommend!

I love this place!!! The shop is clean, people are amazing! Bella is as kind as she is talented! I was in and out of her chair in 10mins, she even took the time to look over older piercings that had started giving me trouble.

Came in on a Sunday (Walk-in day) and me and 2 roommates got 3 tattoos all together! The team is so friendly and the atmosphere is so chill. They also gave us all aftercare products! This is the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had.

Kenzi did an amazing job on my my tattoo. Her line work is impeccable. Her shading OUTSTANDING. She came in strong with a lot of confidence and knocked it out the bag. And she has great conversation so its not boring the whole time. 10/10 would recommend. Def coming back again.

Very friendly front counter staff and a great artist, Kenzie that was willing to accommodate our different styles of tattoos. She made sure that we loved her design and printed off multiple sizes to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. When Kenzie noticed I was getting bored she let me watch minions making my first tattoo a great experience. Highly recommend.

I have never been somewhere that I instantly felt welcome. When I walked into the shop I was immediately greeted by “Tiffany” a gorgeous gal with beautiful red hair. She’s incredibly kind and even helped me choose the jewelry for my Tragus piercing. The piercing expert / pro “Belle” is so beautiful and was rocking an outfit I could never imagine pulling off. She pierced my Tragus (barely even felt it) and it’s also my most FAVORITE piercing in my ears (I have a total of 12). I immediately told Belle about the other piercings I like and she was honest with me about each one. She let me know if I had the anatomy for certain piercings and I never even knew that was a thing. Most piercers just say “lay down” and do the piercing to line their pocket. Belle wasn’t like that at all and she picked out the coolest jewelry for my future piercings (some of which I’ve gotten since my first visit). Charlie the shop owner is so incredibly cute and happy. Her smile is super contagious, I found myself smiling from ear to ear talking to her! She’s absolutely adorable with her pigtail buns and face tattoos it’s so awesome she rocks it like whoa! Charlie had some time between clients and I talked her into tattooing “41” on my neck. It didn’t hurt at all! I didn’t know she started when she said all done. The best part is they sell these aftercare kits that made my life a whole lot easier. I’ll definitely be back as the environment was absolutely amazing. I’ve already been planning my next tattoos and piercing with all the artists. You just need to meet them all! Thanks guys!!! Definitely recommend!

I loved the vibes! 10/10 recommend and the music was fire. All the artest were nice and Charlie reworked my inspo pic to match what I wanted. Charlie made sure the line were straight, very clean and very detailed.

I seen both Jordan and Belle for a tattoo and piercing. Jordan is a very talented artist who did my tattoo. Very light handed with the needle. I will be back for more! Belle is a wonderful piercer who made my experience very pleasant in a very painful situation.

I went to Dark Reine just to get a new nose ring for my nostril piercing and ended up getting an amazing tattoo done by Steven. Not only was he incredibly good at customer service and handling questions, his work was absolutely insane! I’m so lucky he was willing to let me do a walk in. I also really appreciated the level of cleanliness and care they put into their business here, not once did I feel unsure about getting a tattoo done by them or unsafe in my environment. This is a really good place to get tattoos or piercings done.The piercer Lexi was also really nice and helped me pick out a good style of nose ring for my face. Very happy with everything I had done here today!

If you’re looking to get a tattoo you need to go see Jordan at Darn Rhain tattoo. Jordan does amazing work and will most definitely be back. The staff is awesome and pleasant to work with. Highly recommended

Jesse was a redeeming quality. Maybe not the best choice for 3 older sisters on a girl’s vacation. The waiting area, though tasteful furniture, was loud and vulgar. Music played might be considered offensive to some. Jesse was patient, kind, and artwork we requested was simple (10 minutes of work) and there was a $100 minimum, even for the simple design. Then they insist, non negotiable $25 care kit per person, even if you already had tattoos before. That was a surprise and between the 3 of us, we went home with $75 of ‘required’ supplies. Erg! However, we are all happy with the work and Jesse was great with us!

Charlie took me as a walk-in for this small piece. She was so kind when I told her it was to commemorate my late Fathers birthdate. The whole process was quick and professional. I will absolutely go back to see her in the future.

I brought my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced, & got my septum done as well. Belle did such a fantastic job and my daughter is still so excited hours later.The shop overall is exactly the vibe I was hoping to find. It is spotless, yet has a really comfortable environment. Let me tell you!! I went in to get one piercing. ONE. but belle the piercer was so amazing i got two. lol I did my septum and didnt even feel it. it was so smooth. it was great. and i also got a regular nose piercing. which if youve had isnt as fun. i already had one side of my nose done, but she did it soooo much better. way less pain than the first piercer. if you are thinking of getting a piercing... please just do yourself a favor and got to dark rain. you wont regret it.

I cannot recommend Dark Raine Tattoo Studio and tattoo artists enough! From start to finish, I had an overall great experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and very thorough regarding paperwork, before and aftercare, appointments, and payments.Initially, my husband and I took my son to get his ears pierced and had seen Stranger working on a client. Strangers attention to detail was very noticeable, and something that stood out instantly. Stranger gladly answered our questions while he had time. We explained an idea of what we both kind of wanted and had shown him a few pictures. He explained what he could and couldnt do depending on the size and placement. Stranger had no problem fulfilling our requests, and he even offered helpful and insightful recommendations. From there, we set up our appointment and paid our deposit.A few days before our appointment, Stranger sent a text message ensuring we would still make our appointment and went over everything we had discussed at our impromptu consultation. Stranger sent a few different ideas, and we agreed on one.The day of our appointment, Stranger had his station set up and ready to go as soon as I sat down in the chair. My portrait took about two and a half hours. There was not much pain because Stranger had a steady and light hand and took his time with his work.When Stranger started on my husbands portrait, he informed us that our portraits would not be exactly the same, which we knew and expected. We were just happy Stranger took such care with his time and attention to detail on such a significant piece.The portrait is of our dog of 13+ years. Her health deteriorated quickly, and we werent able to prepare for her passing. We werent prepared to let her go when we did, and for Stranger to accommodate us and our wishes really did capture the beautiful things we remembered and loved about our precious dog.Additionally, the other artists were great to chat and joke with. They were respectful of one another, and it made for a great environment. From a customers perspective, they are like a tight-knit family who are supportive of one another. Another plus is that the studio is female and veteran owned, and from one female vet to another, Im happy to support such a great business. My husband and I are already planning our next appointment with Stranger!

I had a tattoo done here a while ago and the service that time was excellent but when I went in recently it was way too stressful for multiple reasons.The communication on the part of the artist, Charlie, always fell through. She didn’t respond to my messages for a while and called me 30 minutes before my original appointment time to move it due to not knowing what I wanted. I changed my idea only one time and one month before and instead of doing something with that information a month ago she made it seem like it was my fault she didn’t make a sketch because I was “constantly switching my idea,” which I hadn’t so I don’t know why she told me this. I only messaged her the one time, which she said okay to, and I even went in and made sure my client notes were changed during that time since she wasn’t always quick to respond. Luckily the sketch got done but not until the day of.When I sat down for the actual tattoo I will admit I was in a lot of pain due to scarring and the placement was on the center of my thigh where a nerve is so I was kind of twitching. When she was going through the worst section she told me that I needed to really think if I could sit through it or if I needed multiple sessions because she had another appointment at 5pm. I get chasing that bag but it was a bit much and extremely rude to imply I was being difficult enough to need multiple sessions for a five inch tattoo when we barley started and she was working on the most painful area. I never asked for a break because I was good for the rest of the appointment and she also got up several times to help the apprentices or the front desk, took a lunch break, and took the start of my appointment to do the sketch and a consultation with a potential client instead of making it in advance like the last time I booked with her. I just wanted it done and over with but it felt drawn out by all these factors yet still rushed to meet time.I loved this studio, I love my tattoos, my piercings, the pricing is fair, the staff are great people, and all of them are amazing artists; however, until Charlie has less on her plate and and is less stressed out I wouldn’t recommend booking with her. I love her and her work but I was genuinely so frazzled by the end of my appointment that I can’t do it again.

We took my 6 year old here to get her ears pierced and had an amazing experience. Belle was amazing with her. She made sure we were choosing the right size earrings, talked her through the whole process, and made sure we knew what kind of earrings to choose as her ears get used to wearing earrings. Everything was sterile, which was the reason I chose Dark Raine over Claires. I have two more kids asking for piercings and I cant think of going anywhere else to get them. In fact, when I get my next tattoo, this will most definitely be the place i get it from. Thank you Belle!

Stranger did my very first tattoo, and it was a half sleeve—yet to be finished to be a whole sleeve. He is very understanding, considering I knew little about getting permanent art on my skin. He ensures I am well-informed before, during, and after the tattoo process. He showed me sketches weeks before my appointment and was more than willing to accommodate and make changes if I wasn’t a fan of a piece of the sketch. He’s the subject matter expert; therefore, he also made suggestions so that the tattoo would look optimal on my arm. I can’t wait for the next session. I feel so cool and awesome with my tattoo on my arm now!

Ivan is one the best tattoo artists of all time! I had been looking for quite a while now to find someone to finish the tattoo I had started. He definitely exceeded my expectations! Now for the front desk, originally when my boyfriend went in to try to get a consult with one of the artists they were very rude to him. When I also had my appointment with Ivan they were very rude to me also. They looked at me like I was crazy when I gave them my name,and the tattoo artists name as well. I assume they were acting like this since they were very young in both occasions. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because of the front desk.

Belle was very knowledgeable. I had gotten a previous nose piercing that was not the correct size. Belle helped me pick out the perfect fit for my smaller nose.

Dudley was my first artist at this location, and did a thigh piece for me. Not only was she super talented but also detail oriented! I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the cleanliness of the shop. My tattoo is dope AF, and I will be going back! 😃She also did my three friends themed frog tattoos in the same day! 17 hours in her beast mode of superb-ness!

Jamie is an AMAZING tattoo artist! My friend and I were walk-ins and I chose a geometric double triangle tattoo with a scenery background and she did it perfectly! I have a patchwork sleeve and she is by FAR the GENTLEST tattoo artist I’ve EVER had!! She revised the original tattoo I picked out and I love her work more than the original! She was super chill and a great conversationalist as well. I highly recommend her and their prices are very reasonable also!

This is easily one of the best tattoo shops that I’ve been to. That’s saying a lot since I’ve been to quite a few whether that’s getting some work done on me or watching someone else get work done. The customer service was amazing, the atmosphere was amazing, the overall experience was amazing. They make it feel like home in the shop, that’s always a green flag when you’re coming in for a tattoo. Everyone in the shop has a level of professionalism that I have yet to see until I came to this place. My artist (Stranger) was very understanding, we were able to communicate breaks very easily, very professional during our first interaction whether in was in the dms of Instagram or when I first walked into the shop. This is the only shop where i’d let every artist in there tattoo me and I’m VERY picky about who sticks that needle into my skin. But, overall if you’re ever in Clarksville, TN or want to travel here for some odd reason, I highly highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely come back here from now on to get some work done, whether it’s by having an appointment months out or if there’s some walk-in availability.10/10 experience

I got my first piercing in KC and in less than 24 hours it fell out. I was able to walk in to get a proper size stud and more info and care and cleaning than I got before. Staff was very knowledgeable and super friendly!

It was painless, she took her time and made sure I was happy with the placement and even gave me a minute in between the piercings to make sure I was feeling okay. Such a great experience. i got my septum done by another person at a different tattoo shop and it was completely messed up. i then came here to get my septum checked out to see what could be done, and it had to be completely redone, came back a week later and Charlie and Salem did my septum and my boyfriends and did fantastic. they were nice, very friendly, professional and extremely helpful. it looks so good and i’m so happy with it! definitely go here for piercings, i saw some people getting tattoos on the way into the room to be pierced and they looked extremely good, definitely a good place for tattoos as well!

I went tonight as a walk in. From checking in, during my session, and afterwards, everyone made it very inviting.Steven did my tattoo and showed so much knowledge. He made sure I liked everything about the placement and design before he started. I will 110% return to the studio, and to Steven himself to have more work in the future.

My daughter (7yo) got her ears pierced at Dark Raine Tattoo and the experience was top notch. she was apprehensive at first, and our piercer (Lexy/Salem) was great with her. she was patient and kind, and talked her through the whole process. afterward, everyone in the shop complimented my daughter and she was thrilled. she said everyone there was so nice, and she’s in love with her new earrings!

This studio has some of the best artists in town. They’re extremely friendly while still maintaining professionalism. I definitely recommend them, and especially recommend Charlie which is who I used. Her creativity is by far the most impressive I have ever seen. I told her I wanted a theme and she put something together and made it happen. The other artists are still extremely talented and have great work. Be sure to consider them for you next tattoo project.

I had a great experience thanks to Salem. I took my 6 year old to get her ears pierced because she begged to get it done. However by the time she got to the chair she was very nervous and tearing up. Salem was patient and kind. She went above and beyond to ensure my daughter was comfortable and she worked fast. My daughter is over the moon about her pierced ears and can’t stop talking about how much she liked Salem.

Steven did a cover up for me today and he did such a great job! Be sure to check him and the other artists out!

Jesus Stranger did my wife and my tattoo. It is a portrait of a family pet that had been a part of the family for 13+ years. She was like one of our kids. She will be dearly missed but with his talent now she will be with us always. He is an amazing artist. Stranger Tattoo is my favorite Clarksville artist! He always does a phenomenal job (and he provided sound effects to distract me). He’s very patient with me even though my leg spasms a lot and managed to get this awesome piece done in about 3 hours. The environment of DR is also great! The open space allowed for communication between everyone so after 3 hours I felt like I knew everyone there better than some people I’ve known for years! Super friendly and welcoming.

A great environment with top notch personalities and artists. This team is super talented. I got a piece done by Stranger and it’s my favorite piece yet. He’s a young guy but he’s quickly going to become a “Who’s who” of the tattoo industry. Me and my girlfriend got our septum’s done at another piercing shop and they did a terrible job and we came here to get it redone and hopefully actually come out good, and let me tell you. They did an AMAZING job. Like we were explained everything all throughout the process, we all talked and joked and everyone was friendly, I mean they even gave such great aftercare. I was like sweating terribly from how nervous I was they gave me and my girlfriend gatorade’s and made sure I was okay the whole time. I don’t think I even have to say that our septum’s came out good and THE RIGHT WAY. If you’re going to get a piercing get it here. Thank y’all for the awesome septum’s!

Got my throat tattooed by Stranger at Dark Raine. I’m completely in awe of the results!! He completely took all of my ideas and made this piece that was EXACTLY what I wanted! I found him on a Facebook post and he was very fast to respond and book. He communicated through the entire waiting period before the appointment and was very knowledgeable and polite, to say the absolute least. He was very professional and easy to vibe with during the tattoo, not to mention, very fast and using the best technique for minimal pain and speed over all. A friend told me this shop was amazing, so I stopped in. The staff could not have been nicer from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Mia came from the back and showed enthusiasm over my idea, and after a brief conversation we set a date and back I came.Mia, you are AMAZING. You brought an idea I had over a year ago and created something better than I had pictured. We sat 8.5 hours, and Mia never wavered. I trusted her judgement and the guidance of fellow artists (Thanks Steve for your wisdom and kindness!). The price was more than fair in my opinion, and Im pretty sure I would have paid whatever Mia said because I have never been happier!! I will be back for more ink, see yall next time!

All I can say is WOW! My artist is Stranger and he is truly blessed and amazing at what he does! So young but so talented, if you’re looking for an artist he is definitely the one you should see. I had gone in to get my nose pierced by S4lem and she was very helpful and funny. I had complications due from my own errors and I reached out to her to see what needed to be done. She was super helpful and fast responding. I went back in to fix my piercing (again my own fault) and she gave the best course of action for fastest heal time/what looked best. When I get another piercing I will definitely be going back to see S4lem!

I just wanna say, if you are having any piercings done and you do not see Lexy, you are missing out! We went to Dark Raine as a walk-in to get my daughters ears pierced (she’d been begging), and we were greeted instantly and felt welcomed. The whole experience was amazing! When we first got there, they asked my daughter if she wanted her ears pierced and after her giving consent we started the process. She explained everything to where a little one would understand, she got to pick the size of ear rings she wanted, and explained how to take care of them. Through out the entire process of my daughter getting her ears done, she was making sure she was comfortable and ready. I was more afraid than my daughter was. I could not have asked for the experience to go any better or smoother. I highly recommend everyone to go see S4lem!

This was suppose to be a one session tattoo. Turned into another one. Still couldnt finish. Set up two more appointments but after the second appointment my arm was so over worked I had to wait till the 4th appointment time which was a month out from the second appointment. When i arrived for my third appointment Charlie(owner) did not show up on time and never responded to text or call so i decided to leave and have someone else finish it.There is no reason this tattoo should have taken 3-4 full sessions. I highly recommend not going to this shop.Another coworker of mine also had a tattoo done by her and Charlie overworked her tattoo so bad she had to goto the ER because her skin literally fell off. Will be updating with those pictures.
